Very exciting news!! The very smart players will face off against one another in the first-ever Jeopardy! "Greatest of All Time" tournament, which is set to air in primetime on ABC beginning Tuesday, January 7th.

The format is as follows: 2 shows each night (except Monday) will comprise a "match," with the total combined score winning a "match" (kind of like the Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions' final round). The first person to win 3 "matches" will win the big prize of $1 million, with 2nd & 3rd getting $250,000 each.

It could be as short as 3 nights or as long as 7, so let's all hope for a riveting 7-day series!!

(And also, GO KEN!!)

I have to wonder if Ken and Brad (both in their 40's now) will still have the buzzer speed they did in their prime years.

They pretty much whooped the rest of the field in the Battle of the Decades tournament back in 2014
