Warren will try to sabotage Bernie again. She's proven herself to be a complete fraud and seems to be a pathological liar. She could focus on the candidates whose policies and pasts most rival hers (Bloomberg, Biden, Buttigieg), but she'll probably go on the attack against Bernie tonight. That's just who Liz is.

If Warren's campaign is supposedly so irrelevant why do Bernie Bros have such vitriol for it?

They should also realize that Warren protects Bernie way more than she goes after him. On the issues that matter they take on all the other candidates. Without her on the debate stage Sanders would get drowned out, ridiculed, and mischaracterized unfairly by the corporate media.

Elizabeth Warren's Superpac Persist is running TV ads in Nevada and they are spending huge money while Warren was blasting Our Revolution which was doing volunteer work and not running ads as being a Superpac. What a hypocritical person and a total fraud.

Wake us up when the head of the Superpac joins Warren's campaign as senior staff *cough* Nina Turner *cough*.

Warren has a journalist supporter who is literally attacking Glenn Greenwald calling for him to die yet there is no accountability.

And this fraud attacked Bernie viciously again saying Bernie has full accountability for any online troll & that he has a lot of answer & used words like movement of hate & she pitched herself as a so called unity candidate. What an absolute pathetic person.

Bernie doesn't have a SuperPAC.

On this page alone, Warren has been called a “complete fraud,” “total fraud,” “pathological liar,” and “pathetic person.”

Always a treat trying to have civil discourse with the Bernie crowd.

Last time I checked, two people =/= the entire Bernie crowd. You shouldn't be so quick to cast all of us Sanders supporters in such negative terms because of his loudest supporters when there are supporters for all candidates who are just as virulent in their opinions.

Sanders supporters are far and away the nastiest (talking not just on this site, but across the internet  ). That's a sentiment that I think any non-Bernie supporter would agree with, regardless of which candidate they support.

Warren is now the conservative Democrat fighting against Medicare for all & calling Bernie's people a movement of hate. Bernie keeps being the nice guy & doesn't attack Warren's lifelong attack on poor people as a Republican, her Superpac now & earlier Wall Street Fundraisers. And this is what Bernie gets. The kind of attacks were expected from Pete but not Warre. She has 0 chance & will drop out after Nevada but is trying to weaken Bernie & hand the nomination to Bloomberg. Joe Biden is soon going to be the 2nd choice among Bernie supporters.

If Bloomberg goes down though it will because of Warren even though her campaign is over. She also hurt Bernie. Joe Biden will be helped by her given that Warren has no chance.

Warren can end Bloomberg's campaign, as a treat.

More seriously, very impressive showing from her. Just won me back over as a supporter after flirting with Klobuchar. Hopefully the performance was enough for a solid showing in Nevada on Saturday to restore some of her long term viability.

I would love to see Liz go after Trump on a debate stage like she did Bloomberg and the rest tonight. Fantastic showing.

Liz did great tonight.... and did some compare/contrast with Bernie, but still represented the Left Wing of the Democratic Party (Although quite frankly some of her policy positions were cribbed from the Sanders '16 campaign)....   Wink

Aw, Liz was on fire (even if it was way too late to save her campaign).

The problem with Warren's great debate performance is that it is very likely too late. Her campaign needs delegates from Nevada, and with over half(?) of the vote already in, her ceiling is dangerously low. The caucus won't help, since it will just incentivize her to be everyone's second or third choice, not first. If she gets two 0s in a row, then it would be hard to justify continuing when a third is waiting in SC and MA may not even be a locked win. Her performance was therefore that of a kamikaze pilot crashing into the stage scattering shrapnel everywhere - far better than Christe who only was targeting Rubio.

Just like I stated earlier Warren is a positive for Sanders in the debate. When she goes after Sanders it's a matter of Warren wanting much of the same things and arguing she would be better at delivering them, that's hardly an attack. She also shields Sanders from all the other candidates because she goes after them so they have to play defense instead of teeing off on Sanders.

I strongly prefer Warren but Sanders and Warren supporters need to realize that if it's only Sanders on that stage with Bloomberg and 2/3 other Democrats he's going to be pummeled.

I think there's a lot of truth to this.  At the same time, I think Sanders in the debate is also a positive for Warren.  Sanders seemingly has about 30% of the electorate locked down, but he's having difficulty getting much further than that.  He probably has enough support to make it to the convention with a strong plurality of voters, but we'll see.  Regardless, he's not gaining support quickly enough to push the others out of the race.  At the same time, as both front-runner and the face of the far left he is drawing fire from the other campaigns and allowing Warren to avoid  the appearance of being the most extreme candidate in the race.  Warren is far from likely to be the nominee, but Sanders actually has opened up a possible path for her:  Watch Biden, Buttigieg, and Klobuchar drop as their money dries up; hammer Bloomberg as a Trump-stand-in to keep her own fundraising steady; and be the last woman standing to consolidate the (sizeable) anti-Sanders vote.

At this stage, the delegate count is overrated.  What matters is if she can keep her campaign's finances steady.  The Nevada results only matter so far as they affect her fundraising--a poor showing Saturday might seriously damage her campaign, but if so it will be because it hits her in her bank account, not her delegate count.

In such a divided race, the 15% threshold is a good metric for whether someone is going to receive the cash that comes from a good performance. It especially matters since the media seems to consider it the metric for free positive coverage on primary night. So yes, the delegate count matter very little. But Warren can't just be improving by a few percent from NH to NV, she needs to be up there for a comeback narrative. With so many votes already cast, and ranked choice limiting the potential for candidates to swipe voters first choice, the 15% threshold appears daunting. If she cannot engineer a comeback narrative, then that is it, her cash problems after NH are going to compound and her voters will keep scattering to Amy and Bernie depending on their complexion.
