Overshoot by William R. Catton. A highly important and lucid read which I recommend to everyone

My impression is that Houellebecq believes in the Great Replacement but has no strong position about whether it's a bad thing.

He actually seems to portray it as a positive in many ways compared to the terminal decline of secular-Christian Europe

Finished Faust by Goethe after a three year hiatus.

Both vols.? Never got through Part II but Faust is a masterpiece

Now reading "The Life of Andrew Jackson" by Robert Remini.

One of the finest presidential biographies in my opinion.
