Has this type of issue with posting ever happened before. Last thing we need is for this to take place in the federal election voting booth.

I don't remember it happening before this thread at all.

And it was Jake's post that went like this yesterday as well, I remember it.

Applause!

I was a lobbyist fighting AGAINST pref voting in April 2004, but our numbnutted president support it.  (Although he was a good guy, he lacked the foresight that visionaries such as myself possessed)

Earlier, I said I would vote for myself, but so the Senate can move on with business, I vote for Masterjedi.

Preferential voting works with a small group of candidates and a small number of ballots and I've never seen more than 3 candidates in a PPT election and there naturally can't be more than 10 ballots.  Smiley

Besides, the method for breaking the tie is simple.  The VP chooses.

I see no reason to get rid of preferential voting here.  President/VP is a different situation entirely.

Round 1:
MasterJedi - 5
TexasGurl - 3
Abstain - 1
All of the Above (Not Valid Option) - 1

With a majority of first preferences, MasterJedi is elected PPT; in accordance with the OPSR, Senators can no longer change their votes.
