I like Matt Bevin more than Knocked Loose.  Not enough to vote for him, however.

I've never heard a Knocked Loose song in my life and I doubt I'd like them any more than I like most of the other bands BRTD listens to, but at least they're not Matt Bevin. Easy vote.

Click the video and I think you'll have an opinion of them in at most 30 seconds.

You're right, I do, and I think you can guess what that opinion is. But, again, way better than Bevin.

What is the appeal with heavy metal music? I've always preferred old school metal music in which you can actually understand the lyrics.

I don't know. I don't like heavy metal music (or old school metal.)

the dissonant riff in In The Walls into the slowed down breakdown is better than anything else to ever come out of Kentucky, obviously Knocked Loose.

Seriously what the f[inks] Knocked Loose have to do with heavy metal?

They're like every metalhead's least favorite type of music. Most metalheads would rather listen to pop music. I'm not kidding. Kocked Loose-style hardcore is pretty much unlistenable to anyone who's acclimated to heavy metal because it's a total subversion of how "heavy" music is supposed to sound to someone acclimated like that. The opposite thing is true of things like black metal to fans of Knocked Loose-esque hardcore.

Ehhh kinda disagree. They have some pretty sludgy and death metal inspired riffs so I could see someone with crossover interest in hardcore/metalcore liking them. Laugh Tracks is much more of a hardcore album, but ADSOB has a bit more of a metallic influence.

So at Furnace Fest, I met this guy from Louisville who actually works with one of the guys from Knocked Loose's mom. She works at the same hospital he does as a pharmacist.

Probably not the place she expected to meet a fan of her son's band, lol.

Lol.  I actually tried listening to it and I couldn’t stand the music. I washed it out with Kasey Chambers, who is a country singer from Adelaide, has a very good voice.

Huh, this was the first thread in which BRTD's love of heavy metal was exposed.
