Why did the liberal forces (Gore and Nader) do so well in 2000?

That's true of all the polygamous Mormon communities - Hilsdale, Utah; Colorado City, Arizona; Rocky Ridge, Utah; and the like.

All very low median ages, very high marriage rates, and heavy reporting of English ancestry.

The thing I don't get is in 2000, how did Nader get 15 times the votes of Gore?

The 'America First' candidate in 1992.  I really know nothing about him, but the America First party likely is a clone of the Constitution party.  He's likely a righty nutjob.

A preacher and retired colonel, whom some consider to be an antisemite (probably wrongly, I'd guess). A "separatist", basically.

Just goes to show not all of Nader's  support came from the left.

And most importantly of all, Gritz was Mormon, explaining why he did so well here and in many other places with large Mormon populations, particularly Idaho and Utah.

Yeah, once I get a credit card. . .

Or you could probably send in money by mail, or transfer it if you have a bank account, or something.

I'll get it when I either totally lose a life, or I decide to make a profession career of this... which ever comes first.  Looks like you have chosen option 1.

I was hesitant to buy an account. I was around for almost two years before I bought one. But it was well worth it.

Besides, just think of all the space and bandwidth your thousands of posts and weeks of online time cost. I'm sure it adds up, the least you can do is give a little money to the site, and at the same time get all the cool election results. Smiley

You don't need a credit card. You just need Pay Pal, and to have that all you need is a bank account.
