Rick Berg just barely lost to Heidi Heitkamp in 2012. In this alternate scenario, Cramer decides to stay in the house and Berg emerges as the early frontrunner. Would he have beat Heidi Heitkamp in 2018?

The only real reason her state voted her out was because of her no vote on Kavanaugh.

The only real reason her state voted her out was because of her no vote on Kavanaugh.

Actually, the degree to which this race was nationalized suggests that she would likely have been vulnerable regardless of who her opponent was or what her track record was (remember that her attempts at moving right in 2018 did her no favors).
