I may register to specific party at another time once I become more familiar with Altasian politics.

You should totally join the Democratic Alliance!

The RPP might be a better fit. In four out of five regions, the average RPPer's PM score is in the libertarian quadrant. Grin

Yes, I was leaning towards the RPP from the beginning (after all, you recruited me, sort of...), however, I just want to make sure they don't have a position or leader that really turns me off to the party. I thought the RPP was conservative, but I guess I was wrong.

Just join the Democratic Alliance! We're a centrist pragmatist party.

[note, I don't feel like having 300 airheads attacking the DA yet again with whatever names they call us]

I can get very fired up and ideological at times, just look at my first topic created on this board. Also, I look at my PM score, and I estimate that I'm in the top 5% most libertarian members on this board. Just think a libertarian version of, say, McCain. One who gets fired up and emotional at times (and who sometimes makes mistakes *cough* suspending campaign *cough*).`

Edit: On second thought I will remain an independent. Just in case you need it officially to avoid confusion.

Welcome to Atlasia. I hope you enjoy it here, and decide to get active. Smiley

Yes, ironically he's pretty liberal while I'm more libertarian. The more active people the better.

I'd love to get active but I'm really not sure how this works. How do I become an office holder, who are my party members/leaders?

Read the "Introduction to Atlasia" thread. Just look around the board, read threads, look at the voting booth sub-board at the top to see how elections are done. If you have any more questions, feel free to PM me. Smiley

Basically to run for office you simply look up when an election for a particular office is, then declare your candidacy in the candidate declaration thread and you're on the ballot. Obviously you should set up an office, answer questions, etc. Like I said, read through a dozen threads or so, maybe a couple in the government area, look around the wiki, and you'll know all you need to know (seriously, it only took me a few hours to become familiar with Atlasia).

It pains me to do this, as I respect many RPPers, but I don't feel welcome in the party anymore.

I want to join but I'm not sure what party I belong in. Except the Jesus Christ Party doesn't seem right for me.

The JCP is actually very progressive, the name is for irony (also its founder liked to call himself Jesus for a while).

While I like many of the DA members, I feel like that I don't really sync up with them very well ideologically, with myself being a moderate libertarian and them being moderate liberals. Please don't take this personally DAers.

A great deal can change in the space of a few months.

That is true. That's practically a year or two here.

I don't know anymore, because for some reason I feel real crappy, yet if I am drunk shouldn't I be sleeping long hours instead of my current sleep deprived state?

Most people who say they dont drink actually do, as I've found out very recently.

No its not a case of being indenial which is what you are referring to. I don't drink because I feel horrible enough already, no need to worsen that state with a toxic substance.

Drink enough and you won't feel anything Wink
