Unaffiliated (at the moment)

Would anyone be so kind as to help me become more acquainted with Atlasia. I read through some of the stickied threads but there does not seem to be all that much information there.

Is there some sort of primer for all this? Where can I find the Second Constitution and current laws of Atlasia? How does everything work? How do you run for office?

There needs to be somewhere to learn all of this.

The NLC is dead. You can join the SDP or the DA.

I'll go with the DA then.

Why does nothing seem to be updated around here?

Atlasia runs partly on its own inertia.

Atlasia: running on the new inertial combustion engine.

What are the emissions like on that?

Note to newbies: The WRP is a troll party, whose founder is a troll and whose second is also a troll.

Not everyone in the WRP is a troll.

True but it was founded by trolls, is led by trolls, and will fall when the trolls do. It is highly recommended you abandon ship.

It really show your maturity to attack another party just cause yours is no a float.

What party would that be? The one I've joined (DA) or the one I've not yet formed but am simply gauging the forum's response before taking the next step (as you so foolishly did)?

Ogis24, announcing his resignation from all positions of power in Atlasia, including head troll. Please at least leave this post here in the memory of my vanquishment. The end has come, and I will meet it head on. Goodbye!!!

Well in that case we may have found an opponent for HappyWarrior Smiley

You have no other Mideast members? You're bringing the sheep to the slaughter on this one otherwise.

We also could run Persepolis, tmthforu99, or officepark, if any of them are interested.

Against HW? You're only viable candidate would be Inks, as you are already a Senator and your other residents are new or infrequent posters. Benconstine would be your next best option and HW has a huge advantage in that kind of match-up.

And do any of you think Officepark is beating HW in the Mideast election? You need to understand the Mideast isn't going to consider an infrequent and inactive member over HW, a pretty good representative thus far. Nothing against the party brand, but you will need a more viable candidate to avoid looking like you know you have no chance.

Its an argument for another day, but the region has 7 RPP voters + OfficePark out of only 20 including dead voters

The Mideast isn't as partisan in regional elections as the nation is in national elections. You may be overestimating the strength of those seven votes. Just something for you to consider. I wouldn't want to dictate how to run your party.

However, Purple State was one of the crucial voters who came out in support of Inks in the gubernatorial race. It might be wise to nominate someone who he could throw his support behind. Smiley

At least for now it seems as though Inks is not interested in running. If this changes I would be taking a good long look at the campaigns, etc. But unless the candidate is Inks, you're sitting dead in the Mideast with your current shortlist.

It's nice to see so much interest in the Mideast lately. And always good to have another party member.

I made a thread, I trying to start another more liberal conservative party, if it don't work I will end up being an Independent.

Always room in the DA for moderate, non-ideological pragmatists.

Welcome to the party. It's not necessarily about universal agreement as much as the initiative to make things work better around here.

the JCP is really starting to flex its muscles, hm? Smiley

Arisen from the ashes of the SDP. Should be an interesting dynamic come election time.

Holy Baloney! The JCP exploded on Tuesday! Why/how did this happen?

Someone took a nap.

SDP leadership essentially dissolved the party, urging all members to join the JCP as a cohesive party of the left.

The RPP old guard (DWTL, SPC) seems to have taken a vacation recently, with newer faces (PiT, NC Yank) stepping into the void. Meanwhile, the old guard of the JCP and SDP are withering awy, with newer JCP members stepping into that void. And the creation of the new, successful DA has added a dimension to Atlasia that has brought a number of newer faces forward, while providing a shiny gloss to the older ones.

Hopefully this will prove to be the beginning of a new Atlasian renaissance.

Hello! I'd like to join the Regional Protection Party, is this where I do that?

This is the place to register for Atlasia. I invite you to read up on the major parties in Atlasian politics here (RPP, DA, and JCP) and choose whichever party best fits your political beliefs.

For a quick breakdown, the RPP is a big-tent conservative party, the DA is a big-tent centrist party, and the JCP is a big-tent liberal party.
