What's the process for starting your own party, something I may or may not do.

You just name the party you want to be a party of in your registration. It can be one that does not exist yet, & you can be the only member forever if you want.

Hamilton was suprised as well when I left JCP and wanted me for LNF, I declined.

Oh, Hamilton said he was the reason you left, so that's where I got that idea. Undecided

Hamilton may not be as much of a loudmouth in public like DWTL, but I find his behind-the-scenes actions to be what leaves DWTL as the more preferable person.

I tried to recruit a candidate here. If you had run I'm sure we would have loved to support you.

I guess it's too late to make things work out.

I'm just really dissapointed of some people attitute. This was supose to be a game for fun, and you're threting Atlasia like it is RL politics.

I think it would be better for everyone if I resign from Atlasia Fantasy politics. I have to think about that.

No offense, but Hamilton takes this game more seriously than anyone. He is 90% responsible for the negative atmosphere in Atlasia over the past couple weeks. It's part of the reason I'm not terribly fond of him.

There isn't one, really. All you need to do is register under the name of your party. Of course if you do that that no one will join you - to get that to happen you need to publically declare that you've set up a new party, post a platform and so on.

Is it just me, or is slagging existing members, accusing them of driving people out of the game, and do so in the new player sign up thread, perhaps, just a tad of a bad idea.

Are we not trying to get people to join the game? I'll be honest, if I'd seen posts like the ones above when I joined I'd have just steered clear of this place

Treat us as a damn party, and not as place to vent your anger or as a damn transit station. Damn it.

Not if taxes are not increased.  The government has the ability to spend more than it takes in and is often the only driver of growth in bad economic times.
Anyone can spend more than they make with credit or borrowing but it always catches up.

RPP voter upcoming. Just wanted to call it here first.

Agreed completely. The DA is not simply a way to transition to views completely different than your former ones. If you believe in our message, join us. If not, find a party that you fit in and go there. We are not simply a halfway home.

Sorry for all this drama. BGWAH assures me there is room for pro-life persons in this party. I made a mistake and I apologize for it. I was told I do not have to vote party-line everytime.

Let's be fair to Kalwejt here.

He had some issues with the JCP which he was reluctant to voice for various reasons.  The first that any of us had heard about them is when he switched to the DA.

I personally was stung by this move because Kalwejt was one of the first to approach me about joining the JCP and he did so enthusiastically.

It took a LOT of convincing on my part as well as others to recant his move and rejoin the JCP.

Kalwejt was very reluctant to do this exactly for the reasons you have outlined.  Of course the DA isn't just some stepping stone or temporary haven for disgruntled members of other parties.

Kalwejt joined the DA because he felt he could be a positive force within your party within the Northeast despite the DA not necessarily being the best fit for his staunchly left wing ideology.

In any case it is foolhardy for anybody to think of the DA as a 2nd class party or that this decision by Kalwejt was made lightly.

I know Snowguy, but it seems that everyone going through some sort of temporary beef with their party joins the DA to make a point. After that, they return to their former party or some other party when the issue is resolved.

While many people genuinely join our party and become or maintain their status as powerful voices in the party, far too many use us as their protest. That's not what we are here for. We have a specific ideology and would appreciate if people recognized that.

As an example of what's wrong with the fantasyland party system at the moment, it'd be hard to find better examples than this latest case. I don't think it's fair to blame Kalwejt, though.

We have a specific ideology and would appreciate if people recognized that.

If you had that, people wouldn't join your party as a protest. Sorry, but you guys make it seem as if you guys welcome anyone and everyone. If that is the case, don't be surprised when anyone and everyone come and go as they please.
