I feel like people joining the DA is like the "I'm running away from home!" phase of teenage rebellion.

And statements like these will make them run back to the JCP, eh?

Yeah it was a mistake for me to be in the JCP leadership. My words are my own, not my party's official position or anything.

Wait, why did Kalwjet leave the party?

My bad I haven't told that before, but since, when I disagreed with one matter, I get assured from certain member that party members will turn against me, I will explain few resons for which I left the party:
1. Because JCP is supporting crazy right-wingers in some races
2. Because President from JCP wanted to kill citizens representation amendment in Northeast
3. Because some influental figures are more willing to support conservative extremist DWDL over Hamilton, who's more progressive, just because they don't like him
4. Because JCP is ignoring party structures in Northeast

I will not hide that ideologically JCP is still closest to me, but I'm not going to be just a blind, loyal electoral vote. I'm joining DA because:
1. There's no other party I can go to
2. There are a lot of people in DA I can work with on things I care for

Once again, this was the most difficult decision ever made by me on Atlas.

If you're referring to Gporter, he's never been a crazy right-winger. Back three years ago, when the kid was only fourteen, he got way in over his head and said really stupid stuff. I was at the center of everyone making fun of him for it, actually. My support of Gporter now lies on the precept of giving him a second chance- he's become a lot more eloquent. And I don't really see how you can call him conservative either; he's been voting on the left side for a while now in Atlasia. And if you're talking about someone else besides gporter here, I don't really have any idea.

I don't know the specifics here, but the JCP is a big tent party. You're as free to support this amendment as Lief is to oppose it. It's his region too, after all.

I know this is directed at me. DWTL is horrible politically, yes. I don't support him or Hamilton, and I don't really want any part of a personal conflict between them. I oppose Hamilton because he's a habitual liar, manipulative hack, has been recruiting zombies for months and was the mastermind behind some of the most offensive political tactics I've ever seen. The evidence is all in plain sight. He takes Atlasia far, far, too seriously. People having his attitude was exactly why Atlasia nearly died in 2006. I really don't want to see that happen again. And that is why I oppose Hamilton.

I can't really comment on this because I'm unfamiliar with the situation.

While I understand your decision, I believe many of the problems you have with the JCP are simple misunderstandings. Please at least read over what I have to say Smiley

I reported it as a personal attack, so presumably it was deleted by a moderator.

There are only two valid candidates in the Southeast Senate race--NC Yankee and gporter. The other two candidates are ineligible.

I haven't followed this terribly closely, but didn't Lief admit the NE Legislature worked out well and that he was wrong to initially oppose it? It increases my opinion of someone if they can admit they're wrong on something like that...

I think Hamilton could become an asset to the game... but so far I fear many of his actions have been damaging to the game. The atmosphere in Atlasia feels very negative right now and I think a lot of it is his doing. I worry that it will soon result in people leaving Atlasia. Hamilton lies a lot, and if he's the reason you left the party I think that's unfortunate. Sad

I was quite because I thought it would be loyal to the party. When I disagreed on at-large Senate race I get bashed.

Hamilton was suprised as well when I left JCP and wanted me for LNF, I declined.

And I think, as of him, that he's valuable member (at least in NE Assembly) and really moved to the left. So supporting crazy DWDL over him is stupid.

Quote

JCP is skipping all statewide races and frankly there were just two active politically members there. No one ebven thought to endorse JCP members for assembly.

Ok, I will still vote for Lief, because I chave no better alternative, but JCP really need to start to think aboiut noit pushing people away.

With all due respect Kal, it was just my personal opinion on who I'd support, and if you had that many problems with the JCP, it's not really fair to say we're "pushing people away" or imply I forced you out.

Bringing up these problems with us should have been what you did, instead of leaving when you had an excuse.

I'm sorry you had to leave though, I wish we could have worked out problems peacefully instead.

I think it would be better for everyone if I resign from Atlasia Fantasy politics. I have to think about that.

Not at all to late, my friend. I tend to agree with you about the points you made, but personally I don't see any reason for me to leave the JCP. I really hope you might reconsider.

Regardless, please do NOT resign from Atlasian politics regardless of what party you decide to stay with. That said, I hope you'll come back to the JCP soon; personally I don't think that would be a mark against you at all, nor would the DA be pissed (though I'm sure they'd rather you'd stay). ;-)

I don't know. We didn't really used to - or at least not to this sort of level.
