Progressive Conservative... Is that like the PLP's evil twin?

Well it does have a goatee.

So in a sense the Progressive Conservative Party is like Michael Knight's evil twin brother in Knight Rider, ah the memories of David Hasselhoff and K.I.T. Good times.

The Federalists may be a good fit as well, along with the PLP. They are all on the Wiki.

The three big ones, anyway. (And I think we are finally moving back towards party consolidation, where there are only a few serious parties. I remember when I joined there were no active party structures at all and each party had maybe three or four active members at most!)

I think that a system of 3 or 4 major, stable parties, each representing one clear-cut ideology which they alone represent, is a very good thing.

Clearly, everyone should join the JCP.

Anyway, fairly interesting party developments lately, and we have indeed seen the emergence of four major parties. The Federalists are the latest reincarnation of the Republicans/ACA/etc, the NLC reminds me of the UAC, and the PLP=Democrats/Socialist Democrats/etc.

I have to agree with you. You could probably map the current parties, including many of their members, back to their ideological predecessors. The Federalists take up the position of both the Republicans and ACA as well as the old Freedom Party/Christian Democrats which shows the basic destruction of conservativism in Atlasia and the subsequent rise of christian democracy or conservative populism on the right. The NLC is a direct successor to the UAC and the CUP and to some extent the old FDP. The typical moderate libertarian/liberal centrist party that has existed for most of Atlasia's history, except for the about year between the end of the FDP and the creation of the NLC. The PLP takes up the realm of the old Democrats/Farmer-Labor/left-wing ILP/left-wing Progressive support. The JCP, of course, defies explanation, it has basically become a Pacific regional party, a Bloc Quebecois without the sovereignty elements. Although that would be pretty damn cool if the JCP started advocating Pacific independence, it would make things interesting at least.

I'm the chairman of the PLP. I must I'd like to have some more moderate voices in the party to add to discussions at convention.

Anyone looking for some real balance should join the Federalist Party, our range of members of ridiculous.  We have a liberal (CultureKing), a populist (Preston), a Federalist (SuperSoulty), a conservative (PBrunsel and Inks), and a Libertarian (myself).  Now if that isn't balance I don't know what is

It's outlined quite nicely in our convention thread, doesn't mean everyone is in 100% agreement

Actually, there's no ideology mentioned at all, just a few platitudinal platform planks.
