Its an argument for another day, but the region has 7 RPP voters + OfficePark out of only 20 including dead voters

However, Purple State was one of the crucial voters who came out in support of Inks in the gubernatorial race. It might be wise to nominate someone who he could throw his support behind. Smiley

At least for now it seems as though Inks is not interested in running. If this changes I would be taking a good long look at the campaigns, etc. But unless the candidate is Inks, you're sitting dead in the Mideast with your current shortlist.

I hope that isn't the case. Inks has declined to run for Senate before & I don't know if that'll change come June.

Cool! Just put your name down, state which you want to register into (I suggest somewhere in the mideast, or Florida, your home state) and RPP. Here is a map of the regions. https://uselectionatlas.org/AFEWIKI/index.php/Category:Atlasian_Regions

btw: Who recruited you?

Southeast would be really helpful actually. We need some people who can help it become more active again.

On a side note, this universal thingy I've seen being discussed is a really bad idea, in my opinion.

You're not alone in thinking that.

Vepres
Independent
Colorado

I may register to specific party at another time once I become more familiar with Altasian politics.

You should totally join the Democratic Alliance!

The RPP might be a better fit. In four out of five regions, the average RPPer's PM score is in the libertarian quadrant. Grin

Yes, I was leaning towards the RPP from the beginning (after all, you recruited me, sort of...), however, I just want to make sure they don't have a position or leader that really turns me off to the party. I thought the RPP was conservative, but I guess I was wrong.

The RPP encompasses a number of ideologies, though libertarians are the largest share of the party & constitute most of the leadership.

I was wondering the same thing the other day. I hope he is alright.

I just checked his profile. He hasn't posted in a fortnight. I guess it's possible that it's related to finals, but it's still concerning that he isn't around.

Welcome! I'm glad you decided to come. Smiley Have you considered joining a party?

I need to find out more about Atlasia first, but my inclination is to stay an independent.

Well, you should check out the "Introduction to Atlasia v2.0" thread stickied on this board.

However, in my capacity as an RPP partisan, I would like to say that our doors are always open for anybody who believes in the importance of regionalism, whether they be left, center, or right. Smiley

I'd like to register with the Democratic Alliance please

Liberal Democrat from NY recruited by Vepres

Welcome to Atlasia! Although the DA has endorsed a radical libertarian for President. The JCP is much more in line with you politically if you're a "NY Liberal Democrat," I suspect. Wink

Since when do "radical libertarians" support increased federal funding for education, subsidies for nuclear power plants, and subsidies for ecological cars? Oh, and a federal minimum wage?

Clearly your defintion of "radical libertarian" is a bit...ummm....weird.

It's called being willing to compromise. If the government's policies were my prerogative to implement, none of those things would happen. Wink

At the same time, I would like to think that the openness towards compromise that I have shown recently would suggest that endorsing me is really not an objectionable proposition.

But they weren't compromises, especially something like the fuel efficient cars thing.....we were creating subsidies that didn't exist in any form. You could have just as easily voted NAY, but you chose to support it Smiley

I actually gave that much thought. I supported it mainly because I find the possibility of running out of gasoline without a viable alternative to be a very real threat. Should that happen, total economic collapse is the only possible outcome. I ultimately decided that it is a grave enough threat to warrant intervention.

It's good to know that the folks in the RPP have a solid conservative choice in this election. lol.

     I'm sure they'd prefer a right-winger who's willing to compromise to a left-wing firebrand.

So PiT, is there anything you won't compromise on? Tongue

I would not support an increase in foreign aid. Or for that matter any degradation of gun rights. I don't know what else though; I would need to reflect on it.

Why not?  Atlasia's foreign aid budget is much, much lower than that of the US - a result of the budget cutting days of 05.

F.L. 27-11 restored foreign aid to 2004 levels. Besides, I find some of our major recipients of foreign aid suspect. I think we need to reorganize our recipients of aid so as to reward the countries that on the forefront of freedom.

Got an email from bgwah. Said some stuff about the DA that is not very appealing to me......

Did it have to do with me? Tongue

Yes, you can freely change parties.

That one doesn't exist anymore since a couple of years.

It can't just not exist, can't it come back again?

Yes, but nobody wants to bring it back.

Yes, but nobody wants to bring it back.

Why what went wrong with it?

I don't know the exact reasons, but from what I've heard hereabouts people don't want a return to the Republican & Democratic parties.
