I can't speak for some of the other new guys, but if it was me you were betting on you would lose that bet.

I don't understand this hostility towards new people, but it seems to me that if nobody new tried to join your cliquish game then number of people that leave over time would cause the game to eventually fall apart because of a lack of people.  I have been a member of this site since April and just decided to pop on over here and check out this sub-forum.  The Populares seemed the best fit for my political views so I joined them.  Besides, a friend of mine from another forum, Zacoftheaxes, is also a Populare.

Yes the Populare leadership did suggest I run for the SE Legislature and I thought "sure, why not?"  I guess because I'm just a paper candidate and a Hamilton sock I don't have a chance.  Maybe I ought to go back alternatehistory.com.

I'm happy to have you here, and I have nothing against newbies. My only issue is that alot of people like to recruit newbies from anywhere they can to beef up their numbers and win everything, not because they deserve to, but because they essentially stuffed the voter rolls.

It's also a big problem sometimes because there are huge and longstanding systemic issues Atlasia needs to solve to fix itself. It's really difficult to change the game when new people who don't really have a historical perspective on Atlasia and have nothing in which to view the proposed changes to the game. This often leads to the party bosses dictating to the newbies and newly added footsoldiers to vote against the changes without having a proper understanding.

I'll happily give you the benefit of the doubt, I just ask that you, and other people new to Atlasia, try to keep their minds open and learn things for themselves, instead of letting the party leaders use you for their own gain.

Certainly.

To be fair, I was accused of being a sock when I first joined. Wink

Yeah, right, that's why you hang around this thread looking to intimidate any newbies who join the wrong party.

Lol, the Populares are the party of the rich people more like.

The Populares are the party of and for all people, especially for the common people and newbies who are otherwise shunned, ignored, or attacked by the entrenched establishment elites.

Coincidentally, I see you are using half of our party's slogan as your display name...

I just love both of you "arguing".

You should have seen our WW2 argument on AIM. He claimed WW2 was started because of British interventionist foreign policy and accused the USSR of attacking 'poor defenceless Finland' in an attempt to conquer it.

LOL, whoa, I wasn't mentioning that on here as a courtesy to you, but looks like you chose to embarrass yourself.

How am I embarrasing myself? You are the one who thinks that Hitler was a sweet old man who only wanted the Polish Corridor and would then have settled down and not attacked anyone else.

Yes, so we should hand over our lands just to please an agressor, so much for liberty and freedom according to Libertas.

Oh right, Winston claims that "Poland was militarist in 1939" and that the Soviet Union had every right to take over half of Poland, but you're attacking me. Roll Eyes

Please, I didn't even know what you were talking about when you said it.

I just meant that "sock paranoia" (which I suffer from myself Wink) is used against any newbie. Not matter what party they join.

Well, obviously some people don't vote in their own interests.

Sorry bro - peddle that bullsh**t of "we're just looking out for you" somewhere else.

Sorry for not saying anything about this earlier, I've been away from home and therefore away from my Excel sheets where I keep all of this stuff.

Anyways, ajc0918's last regional move was March 11 by my record.  This move to Florida takes effect September 7.

I believe his March re-registration was only a party switch - he had been in the Mideast for quite some time.

He can dispute me on his own behalf, if he believes I have my facts wrong.  I have sent him PM regarding this.

What we should do is open Casino Atlasia: Recruitment Betting Pool to place bets on potential new recruits, when they will join, and the party they will join. It's so much fun to call them privately these days that we should make it an official sport.

wow. If Hamilton really is here, he's probably lhao at your comically misguided attempts to call random people out because your little paranoid mind is telling you that innocent folks are socks. Please do us a favor and get a clue.

Where in my post did I claim this guy was Hamilton? I think you have some reading comprehension issues.

Because you associate Populares with Hamilton and there was that other thread. Plus, you call yourself Hamilton's Worst Enemy, which would imply that every post you make relates to that issue.
