Tell me more about that Centrist Party, I'm interested.
The Centrist Party is all about bi-partisanship, making comprises, and ending government gridlock. They also want a more transparent government. It is also for a balanced budget and trying to end pork barrel spending.
Its poltical matrix would look like this: -0.75, -1.25

so you created a party that seems quite different from your own views... I don't see the sense in that. It's a good idea, though. The current Federalist party is just about the same thing.

Interesting. Care to define Liberal Democracy's stances?

Independent, centrist, socially and economically liberal, and radical.

So why aren't you joining the Progressive Liberals, then?

The PLP isn't centrist and radical.
we have our moments.

I am disbanding from the National Liberal Coalition. I was one of it's founding members, however I have decided to move on. Like I usually do in Atlasian politics, except without the founding members part.

SO STARTING THE DAY AFTER THE FEBRUARY 2008 PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION:

Name: Rockefeller Republican
State: Maine
Party: Progressive Liberal Party

Welcome to the party!

Thank you for the warm welcoming Future Vice Chairman Smiley. I appreciate it very much.
You're definitely welcome over at the PLP.

You may also wish to consider the National Liberal Coalition, of which the NRM was previously affliated with.  On track to win five of ten Senate seats, the NLC is most certainly "still active."
i'm going to throw my hat in here, as well.

You can also join the Progressive Liberal Party, Atlasia's premier liberal party. We have many up-and-comers and established Atlasians alike in our party, and the membership is only growing.

then, why don't you just join the NLC instead of switching parties left and right? It just irks me for some reason.

Jesus, do you get irked by minor little untrivial things like that?
obviously. I'm easily irked. You're looking for "trivial' by the way.

Jesus' PM convinced me. Basically I went with the party of progressives over annoying 13 year olds.

I resent that comment. I'm almost as old as you are.
as am I, just to a lesser extent.

The annoying 13-year olds are simply a wing of the party. Like, say, blue dogs or something.

The new party is committed to the principles of Midwestern Expansionism, Ingsoc, and the praise and worship of our lord and saviour Jesus Bgwah.

Perhaps someday in the distant future, the Pacific and Midwestern regions will unite to conquer the Mideastern region!
That'd be pretty cool. Who would be governor, though? Would it be a dual principality of sorts?

What is JCP?  Who is in it? Why would I be rejected by being an independent?  Why would folks not look behind the label to the person, and his or her qualifications and temperament for high office?

If you register outside of the Pacific region, people are fine with you being independent, and you can have a very fruitful career in office.

But that is where I live, and work. The place I know, and love. The place I was born. Is some machine controlling the place, behind the curtain?

no, they're pretty far in front of the curtain.

That is the buzz. I am seeking advice. Smiley I just think maybe I have something to contribute after all these years on the mortal coil, that might be of value and interest to our community. It is not partisan at all.

I do understand. But you'll need the JCP endorsement. You'll get that if I'm your only opponent. If the circumstances were different, I'd drop out and let you have a go. But not this time. Not after I almost did the impossible 3 months ago.
but then you decided to be arrogant and blew it.

"Arrogance" (which I won't deny existed) had nothing to do with it. The machine just manufactured the votes it needed. How else do you explain people like Rob coming out to vote?
maybe the arrogance incited the JCP GOTV or whatever you want to call it.
