Welcome, both of you, to the Party!  HERE is where you can find all information about the Party.

Don't forget to update this.  I have already done most of the work.

Good to see you back.  Maybe sooner or later (hopefully sooner) we'll see with an 'R' next to your name. Wink

That may happen.  Smiley

One small question, though, that I invite you (as well as anyone else) to answer: is it required of any prospective Republican that they must be rigidly, ideologically opposed to even the notion of raising taxes?  Because if so, there is no way I will ever join the GOP.  The issue of taxation is not one I attach any ideological or principled importance to.  I am as open to raising taxes as I am to cutting them (or keeping them the same), depending on the circumstances.

I don't think any party leader has demanded regidity on the party positions from members for at least two years now. Parties in Atlasia are really just conglomerations of people that band together to give themselves a name and that's about it. Parties nowadays have very little in the way of actual control, authority, or discisions concerning policy.

Tongue

I should have known that even before I even asked this question, considering I have been here as long as I have.

Sorry, I was thinking of the real-world GOP when I was typing that.

I'm probably better off with no affiliation to any political party, at least for the time being....

I am definitely considering joining too, but I want to wait and see what their platform has to say before I make any decision.

Better yet would be the passage of the 'End to Districts' amendment that would make joining any political party worthwhile.

While I would like to see more of their platform, what I have seen is much to my liking, so:

Tell me more about that Centrist Party, I'm interested.
The Centrist Party is all about bi-partisanship, making comprises, and ending government gridlock. They also want a more transparent government. It is also for a balanced budget and trying to end pork barrel spending.
Its poltical matrix would look like this: -0.75, -1.25

And how exactly does it differ from existing parties?

Interesting. Care to define Liberal Democracy's stances?

Independent, centrist, socially and economically liberal, and radical.

So why aren't you joining the Progressive Liberals, then?

I was also considering the Liberal and Whig parties, but decided against them at the last minute.

Since the party I joined appears to have been dead the moment it formed, I see no further reason in remaining a part of it:

Over time I have grown more comfortable with the Liberals, both with their candidates and the party as a whole.  I may not agree with everything in their platform, but I agree with them more than I do with the others.
