I'd love to join if somebody could briefly explain the rules/link me to the rules.

Hi Hashemite,

You register by posting a message with your name, state (50 states, DC, or Puerto Rico), and party. You can register as an Independent or one of the parties listed here (first set is active parties, second and third are dead parties) or start your own party (or restart a dead party). Once you are in a state, you can't move for 2 months, but can change parties as often as you like.

Each state is in one of 5 Regions, each with a regional government, though some people favor eliminating the regions which have been minimally active over the past few months. There is also a Federal government. There is a lot of info about the game if you click the afewiki button on the menu.

If you have any questions just post a message on the forum and someone will answer it.

Everyone will likely ignore this, or give it negative attention, but regardless:

Swing Voter
independent
Virginia

I'll ignore it. Welcome back to Atlasia.

Another question on the wiki: why are the pages from the old wiki not integrated? For example there's more information on me (from the old wiki) on the talk page than there is on the actual information page.

Because it takes time. Care to help out?

I could lend a hand here or there if I'm put in the right direction.

I apologize if I offended you, I didn't mean to lessen the contributions that have been made into the wiki. I just wasn't sure if there was a reason they weren't integrated.

No, I'm not offended. Sorry if it sounded as if I was, which it looks as if it could have been taken that way.

Office History of everyone is one example. It looks like we are now starting on Election History of everyone as well. Gabu has optimized the Voter Rolls Process.

I think the most helpful thing would be to create a stub page for any person who does not have a page and add any relevant info to anyone who only has as stub page. However, any contribution you can make it appreciated.

There is an urgent need to update party membership numbers on the Wiki, and I'm too bad in math and handling numbers to do it myself.

This is unofficial, but:

Anti Mike-German Party: 1
AMRLP: 3
Birthday Party: 3
CDP: 6
CLP: 1
Dem: 11
Fed: 2
Islamic Dem. Party of Atlasia: 1
ILP: 2
Ind: 18
JCP: 7
Lunatic Fringe: 1
PLP: 3
Progressive Party: 1
Rad: 3
Rep: 11
RPP: 4
SLA: 9

Oh, come now, now we've got two parties that could be correctly abbreviated as "LCP".  You're just toying with me. Tongue

A former SoFA (can't remember who) began classifying King's Parties as "King's Joke Parties" since he kept changing every week. Perhaps Al deserves his own category.

In my opinion, if Naso is on the voter rolls still, then this entry replaces his current entry which belongs to "reaganfan" (unless Jessica creates a new account).

As far as I know, when I switched from LLP to Independent, the LLP became a defunct party.

That was a chain mail going around the internet a while back. Someone was ordering a cake for a person named Suzanne who was leaving. So the person on the phone said something like "We want the cake to say Best Wishes Suzanne. Underneath that We Will Miss You." The cake is the end result.

Why does your internet connection determine your PPD?

It's hard to post often if your computer is really slow in opening web pages, like mine is.
Do you have sigs turned off?  If not, do so, quickly.  Some of the pics here are pretty big (file size wise, not actual size wise.  I hate big ones too (that's what she said!), but for you, file size is all that matters.).

If you use Firefox, you can use adblock to block certain images.

Okay, I've spent some time trying to familiarise myself with what all is going on in here...is there a list of candidates somewhere for the April elections?  I suppose I can get it from the candidate declaration thread, but that doesn't indicate the regions...er, districts.  (I don't even know what district I'm in.)

On a side note, this universal thingy I've seen being discussed is a really bad idea, in my opinion.

The April election will be a nation wide proportional representation election, without districts, using PR-STV.

And welcome back.

I don't post extremely often but I read here nearly everyday. When you do something for 4 years, you tend to take brakes here and there.

Hi Yoman. Welcome to Atlasia.
As far as which party to join, the only two members that were in the LLP that are still in Atlasia are myself and South Park Conservative and we are both members of the RPP (which shares the same initials as the LLP's original name).
