Weird thing is that Staten Island barely voted Gore in 2000, yet  voted in a large margin for Bush in 2004 (56.09%)

Probably the fact that he beat Kerry by a larger margin than he did Gore, and also because of the 9\11 effect.

Bahaha people are stilling trying that one?

People cared much more about 9/11 in 2004 than they do now. Also, you got to remember that we're talking about NYC, where the Twin Towers attack occured.

I was referring to Bush Jr., since he was the one that won my county.

Harris County:
Bush: 54.28%
Gore: 42.91%

Of course, part of this huge lead is due to Bush being governor at the time. Obama won it by around 2 points 8 years later.

Gore won the county I lived in at the time (Montgomery, OH) and the county I live in now (Clark, NV).

The county I lived in at the time is pretty embarrassing:

Bush 65.16%
Gore 28.54%
Nader 3.31%
Buchanan 2.54%

over 70% for fascist candidates. Sad

Which?

Seems like a pretty strong third party performance. Especially Buchanan.

Bush won a lot of the traditional Republican Counties, as well as the states that tend to switch. Gore won traditional Democratic counties.

2000:
Bush - 61.63%
Gore - 36.17%

2004:
Bush - 51.57%
Kerry - 46.77%

2008:
Obama - 58.13%
McCain - 39.33%

P.S. So as not to confuse anyone looking for a county with such an impressive swing, all three are different counties.
