I was born in Iowa, but I still have to vote for the one with Chicago.

IL is my favorite state. IA is nice and interesting though. IN produced David Lee Roth, which is unforgivable.

I spent the first 21 years of my life in Illinois, so it's an easy win for Iowa.

Also 2 of the 5 "coolest" actors of the 20th century - Steve McQueen and James Dean. (the others are Paul Newman, Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery)

Indiana is not a destination.  It's a place people come from and it's a place people pass through to get to things.

Both Indiana and Illinois are good, but there's more to do in Illinois.  Never been to Iowa.

By thy rivers gently flowing: Illinois, Illinois!

Iowa 2nd and a pretty decent state IMO.

Indiana is one of the worst states in the country.

I happen to believe Indy is nothing short of an awesome hidden gem (sister lives downtown), but ... vacation?!  Lol

It's my favorite of the three, because Illinois is in my bottom five states, and I just don't care for Iowa at all, so Indiana is just the only one I would imagine actually being at for more than a few days at a time. That is what I meant. Did not realize I was going to trigger half the forum with this comment

Illinois is expensive and has too high of taxes, and there's nothing to see in Iowa, so Indiana.

There's no "triggering" to be spoken of (it's also not 2016/2017 anymore). It's just that literally nobody in the history of humanity has said they'd vacation in Indiana lol.

I'm biased towards Iowa as my first preference, but I honestly don't know whether Indiana is better or worse than Illinois. Granted, Illinois has Chicago, so that's not a plus for our neighbor to the southeast. However, Indiana is the homestate of Mike “Wait, It's Not 1954?” Pence, so that doesn't help them either. I dunno, flip a coin.
