I had one too many free articles recently and can't get past the nyt firewall. Where is the outstanding vote from at this point? Who does it favor and how heavily?

CNN is further ahead. There's a few votes left in Jefferson County, not much, and some small rural counties in western Kentucky. The remaining vote will go to Bevin but not by enough to overturn Beshear's margin.

A few western rural counties still out, some mixed precincts in Louisville, but other than that, its over.

Its called for Beshear by Wasserman, makes sense. I saw Beshears margin improve by 11k in 5% of the remaining 10%  in Louisville.

Has anyone noticed the inconsistency between sources? Some are saying different sources are at 100% with different results, e.g. Fulton being won by Bevin in NYT results but Beshear in CNN results.

Counties not yet reporting any votes: Metcalfe, Cumberland, Caldwell, Hart, Grayson, Union, Ballard. These counties totaled to just around 18,500 votes in 2015.

Can someone explain to me what’s happening with the 30th district for the VA House, where write-ins are constituting 57% of the vote?

Looks like Beshear won. I was off by about 5-7 points, but in this case being wrong is great.

If Governor-elect Andrew Beshear wins re-election in 2023, I want him to run against Sen. Mitch McConnell in 2026 -this is assuming that the old turtle runs for re-election after next year.

The GOP candidate forgot to file for candidacy so he had to run as a write in. The write in votes are for Republicans.

NYT showing 300 precincts left with 92% in. 270 appear to be rural, 30 are in Louisville. Bevin needs about 17k.

That will be hard to do

What are the recount rules in KY? I don't see Bevin getting the votes regardless (not enough is out) but I wonder what the threshold is to trigger a recount

You don't think he's going to pull a Strom Thurmond or a Robert Byrd?

Yes, but not enough remains for him to eliminate it.
