Probably a glass a wine, champagne, and a couple of vodka drinks.  I don't drink that much anymore, the way I used to.  All of my friends, most of whom used to be major lushes, have slowed down a lot on their drinking.  I don't want to deal with the hangovers, and I don't want to spend the night worshipping the great porcelain god.  It's been a few years since I had to do that.

Wally, it looks as if we're the biggest lushes here so far.  Too bad Nation isn't around -- he could definitely give us a run for our money... Tongue

I had some Whisky (not much though). New Year is one of the few times of the year when I drink alcohol.

d-man, ive found that if i drink *a lot* of water during a hard night of drinking alcohol, my chances for a hangover decreases dramatically.

it has always worked for me.

This is true.  The main reason that you have a massive hangover following excessive alcohol consumption is because the alcohol is very dehydrating.  Most doctors will tell you to drink at least as much water as the amount of alcohol you drink.

You're right.  But once, I drank a lot of water after I had drunk way too much, and guess what happened to all the water...Tongue  I think the key is to intersperce the water with the drinks.  It also helps to make you drink less, which is a good side effect.

Oh, and I'll be drinking beer -- and lots of it.  Free beer at one local bar.  $1.00 bottles and $1.00 draws at the one across the street ... not sure what they're doing at the bar on the south end of main street, but I never go to that one anyway (there you go -- my hometown, a block-long main street, three bars).

Anyhow, the one with free beer is great -- we have a nut fry (mountain oysters, or fried calf testicles for those of you unfamiliar) every New Year's eve.  All the food is free and so is the beer.  The bar across the street is charging, but as you can see, a $20 bill goes a long ways around here.  It'll be a fun night either place!

You drank cookies?

Maybe use less vegetable oil in the recipe next time.

I was wondering if he put them in a blender or something. A cookie smoothie might not be too bad, actually.

I did some stuff like that when I had my wisdom teeth out and couldn't chew anything.  It is, trust me.
