What if North and South America didn't exist, and it was just one, huge, open ocean from Western Europe to Eastern Asia?
With no landbridge to the Americas, Siberia and East Asia would be much more populous, since the people who became the ancestors of the Native Americans would have stayed there.
Europe would never have colonized the Americas, that discovery would never have transformed the power balance within Europe.
How would history have unfolded differently?
