Exactly one year ago today, Bill Walker dropped out.

May your harvests be plentiful and your fortunes good on this blessed day.

Lol, but Walker dropping out really led to some scorching hot takes here. I really miss the days of Atlas relentlessly bashing weak candidates Matt Rosendale, Jacky Rosen, Mike Dunleavy, and Michelle Lujan Grisham in seemingly every thread.

William Martin Walker, an American attorney and politician who served as the 11th governor of Alaska from 2014 to 2018, has withdrawn his bid for re-election, endorsing Democratic candidate and former Senator Mark Begich for the position.

Walker dropped out on October 19, 2018 and endorsed Begich.

On October 19, 2017, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton launched her bid for President with a series of videos, radio ads, and rallies across Iowa. It was during her first campaign event that Clinton stated that she was "not running" for President.

Bobby Jindal (Louisiana)

Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal is the only Republican to have launched four primaries in the state of Louisiana. The campaign of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal began with a strong showing at the GOP caucuses on August 16, 2015. In the primary, Jindal defeated the Republican candidate, and thus became the GOP presidential nominee for the 2016 election cycle. After his victory, he became the state's attorney general and later the state's first Governor.

In 2014, he ran to be Governor of Louisiana, and he was the candidate in 2015 to be the Governor of the United States. After a very hard fought battle, he came in second of the Democratic hopeful, Hillary Clinton.

Not long enough.

The 11th Governor of the State of Alaska, William Martin "Bill" Walker, an independent politician, chose to cease his 2018 campaign for re-election two-&-a-half weeks prior to Election Day so as to support the Democratic Party's nominee, former Class II United States Senator from Alaska Mark Peter Begich, as part of an eventually unsuccessful attempt to deny the Republican Party's nominee, then-Alaska State Senator from the E district (and the future 12th Governor of the State of Alaska) Michael J. "Mike" Dunleavy, an opening to break through & obtain the governorship via a split in the state of Alaska's center-to-left vote.

Yes, I remember when I was mocked by Politician and others for saying Dunleavy was still going to win regardless, lol.

I remember when Bad Boy Begich trolled us many times about potentially dropping out after his random decision to run. I also remember people telling Bill Walker to drop out long before he actually did, when it was really Begich who shouldn't have been running.
