Wow this thread is old but is based.

I took roughly last week, which corresponds to 250 posts or 10 pages.

I'll make the Senate by unique posters and the Chamber of Deputies by individual recommends.
By consequence, the Chamber leaders are those with the most recommends, and the Senate leaders are completely by personal preference (but excluding the Chamber leaders).

Battista Minola's 1st Parliament - Mid October 2020

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 43 (45.7%) Leader: tack50
Other - 11 (11.7%) Leader: MB
Socialist - 11 (11.7%) Leader: Nathan
Republican - 10 (10.6%) Leader: DC Al Fine (or Averroës Nix)
Independent - 9 (9.6%) Leader: Scott
Constitution - 3  (3.2%) Leader: TJ
Green - 3 (3.2%) Leader: olawakandi
Libertarian - 2 (2.1%) Leader: John Dule
No avatar - 2 (2.1%) Leader: Anarcho-Statism

Total seats - 94 (Democratic/Socialist majority I guess)

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 102 (52%) Leader: Alex
Other - 26 (13.3%) Leader: Cath
Socialist - 19 (9.7%) Leader: King TChenka
Republican - 18 (9.2%) Leader: Joseph Cao
Independent - 13 (6.6%) Leader: Laki
Constitution - 8 (4.1%) Leader: RoboWop*
No avatar - 4 (2%) Leader: tara gilesbie
Green - 3 (1.5%) Leader: Estrella (or Farmlands)
Libertarian - 3 (1.5%) Leader: AGA**

*technically it should be lfromnj but that's obviously an ironic avatar so I pass
**semi-ironic too I guess but I don't have any other yellow avatars

Total seats - 196 (Democratic majority easily)

I am heavily dominated by normie Dems, especially for number of total individual recommends, plus some Socialists and communitarianish Others. However I have a pretty broad mix, which includes also neolibs (GMac, Blairite, Sev x4) and right-wingers (Fuzzy and Sanchez) and tankies (Anarcho-Statism x2). I also have other forum Institutions like BRTD and Antonio.
Nothing can beat the OC recommend though. Purple heart Purple heart Purple heart

Parliament of 161 seats, due to its fragmented nature the government, as always, is formed by the Triapartito of the Democratic (moderate liberal), Other Party (centrist, with both centre-left and centre-right corrente) and Republican (conservative) parties, with outside support from the heterogenous and clientelistic Independent Bloc. This gives the government an official majority of 96/161.

I knew you loved Il Divo but wow

In which spirit, I am pretty sure every party is just as clientelistic as the Independent Bloc.

Well, it looks like this is time to make a new Parliament of Recommendations.

I took again roughly last week, which this time corresponds to only 125 posts or 5 pages. Funnily the number of total recommends is even somewhat higher in spite of that, although that of unique posters is a bit lower.

The logic of the parliamentary leaders is the same.

Battista Minola's 2nd Parliament - Late February 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 39 (45.3%) - ▼4 (▼0.4%) Leader: HenryWallaceVP
Socialist - 13 (15.1%) - ▲2 (▲3.4%) Leader: Nathan
Independent - 9 (10.5%) - (--) (▲0.9%) Leader: CraneHusband
Other - 9 (10.5%) - ▼2 (▼1.2%) Leader: parochial boy
Republican - 8 (9.3%) - ▼2 (▼1.3%) Leader: Joseph Cao (or Averroës Nix)
Green - 5 (5.8%) - ▲2 (▲2.6%) Leader: razze
Libertarian - 2 (2.3%) - (--) (▲0.2%) Leader: lfromnj
Constitution - 1 (1.2%) - ▼2 (▼2%) Leader: SunriseAroundTheWorld
[No avatar exits Parliament - ▼2 ▼2.1%]

Total seats - 86 [▼8] - Democratic/Socialist majority confirmed

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 104 (45.4%) - ▲2 (▼6.8%) Leader: KaiserDave
Socialist - 48 (21%) - ▲29 (▲11.3%) Leader: discovolante
Other - 26 (11.3%) - (--) (▼2%) Leader: Cath
Independent - 21 (9.2%) - ▲8 (▲2.6%) Leader: Thunder98
Republican - 14 (6.1%) - ▼4 (▼3.1%) Leader: Conservatopia
Libertarian - 8 (3.5%) - ▲5 (▲2%) Leader: Santander
Green - 6 (2.6%) - ▲3 (▲1.1%) Leader: Lourdes
Constitution - 2 (0.9%) - ▼6 (▼3.2%) Leader: SunriseAroundTheWorld... again*
[No avatar exits Parliament - ▼4 ▼2%]

*he's the only tan avatar recommendator I have

Total seats - 229 [▲33] - Democratic majority lost, Democratic/Socialist coalition incoming

The previous status quo of a large Democratic plurality and fragmented opposition gets mostly confirmed, with the only exception being a strong Socialist breakthrough in the Chamber animated by Nathan (leader of the cattocomunista wing) and discovolante (leader of the radical eco-feminist pagan-affirming wing), which makes the Dems lose their majority there and forces a coalition. In general, a general shift leftwards can be seen. Also, all the non-inscrits lose their seats in Parliament. There's a lot of turnover in the parliamentary leaders, with only Titans Nathan and Cath getting confirmed, plus Averroës keeping his post of Republican Senate Whip and Joseph Cao moving from Chamber to Senate.

Early elections! To commemorate April 25, a day of profound democratic significance in Italy, and also in Portugal.

This time I took roughly last month, which corresponds to 225 posts or 9 pages. This means the parliament's size gets significantly increased, especially for what concerns the Chamber.

The logic of the parliamentary leaders is always the same. Now with proper joint leaderships!

Battista Minola's 3rd Parliament - 25 April 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 48 (40.7%) - ▲9 (▼4.6%) Leader: JoeInator
Socialist - 17 (14.4%) - ▲4 (▼0.7%) Leader: Nathan
Republican - 13 (11%) - ▲5 (▲1.7%) Leader: realisticidealist
Independent - 12 (10.2%) - ▲3 (▼0.3%) Leader: Scott
Other - 12 (10.2%) - ▲3 (▼0.3%) Leader: Al Filuwaúrdjan
Green - 7 (5.9%) - ▲2 (▲0.1%) Leader: Estrella
Libertarian - 5 (4.2%) - ▲3 (▲1.9%) Leader: Santander
Constitution - 3 (2.6%) - ▲2 (▲1.4%) Leader: SunriseAroundTheWorld
No avatar - 1 (0.8%) - ▲1 (▲0.8%) Leader: Skill and Chance

Total seats - 118 [▲32]

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 170 (45%) - ▲66 (▼0.4%) Leader: Alex
Socialist - 54 (14.3%) - ▲6 (▼6.7%) Leader: discovolante
Independent - 48 (12.7%) - ▲27 (▲3.5%) Leader: Abdullah and CraneHusband (joint leadership)
Other - 33 (8.7%) - ▲7 (▼2.6%) Leader: Cath and shua (joint leadership)
Republican - 33 (8.7%) - ▲19 (▲2.6%) Leader: Conservatopia
Green - 25 (6.6%) - ▲19 (▲4%) Leader: khuzifenq
Constitution - 7 (1.9%) - ▲5 (▲1%) Leader: Cassius
Libertarian - 7 (1.9%) - ▼1 (▼1.6%) Leader: lfromnj
No avatar - 1 (0.2%) - ▲1 (▲0.2%) Leader: Skill and Chance... again*

*they are the only no avatar recommendator I have

Total seats - 378 [▲149]

A narrative of the election:
- The Democratic Party, a natural party of government whose ideology is basically keeping the vaguely leftist status quo and getting as many patronage posts as possible, all with a heavy dose of #POPULISM at which party whips KaiserDave and Kuumo excel, keeps slowly losing in percentage, this time especially in the Senate. Its Chamber leader post goes back to Alex. Its Senate leader post goes to JoeInator, who is a newbie but is beloved by all the population for his personal background (Italian, Catholic, Gen Z).
- The Socialist Party, half of which believes in "We'll do everything the Democrats do but with more carnations and labour unions and we also believe in Consistent Life Ethic" (Nathan, YE) and half of which believes in "We'll do everything the Democrats do but also smash the patriarchy and make cool maps" (discovolante, Sol), loses most of what it gained from the Dems in the previous election, with disgruntled left-populists leaving for the Independent and Green parties after the coalition government of the previous Chamber session. Its leaders remain the same.
- The Independent Party, a weird coalition of left-leaning idiosyncratic people who hate the Democrats because they are contrarians, takes a strange turn and becomes an affiliate of the Abrahamic Ecumenical Council, with Christian leader Scott, Jewish leader CraneHusband, and Muslim leader Abdullah becoming the new parliamentary leaders and enjoying their sizable gains and newfound solid third place in the Chamber.
- The Other Party, a testimonial party for intellectuals of various persuasions who don't like graft, registers losses of more right-oriented voters in favour of the Republicans. The leadership continues the format of Christian democrats in the Chamber and people more to the left in the Senate, although new entry Al Filuwaúrdjan wants to remind everyone very pointedly he's Labour, not Left.
- The Republican Party, which purportedly is the right-wing party but in practice supports most of the status quo except they want more Christianity and communitarianism and family values in the mix and is only in opposition because the scary mean Democrats are acultural secularists, rebounds somewhat siphoning voters off the Others. Conservatopia keeps the top spot in the Chamber while the Senate leadership goes to RI, a politician remarkable for his Catholicism and his crossover appeal.
- The Green Party, which is not actually ecologist but just a spin-off of the Independent Party for even more contrarian people, hires khuzifenq who proceeds thanks to a very aggressive campaign to bring it out of joke party status and closer to the levels of the other opposition parties. He obviously gets the leadership post in the Chamber while that in the Senate goes to Estrella.
- The Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party, two tiny parties respectively for strong rightists who pretend they are liberals and for strong rightists who are open about it, gain in the Senate but mostly keep being tiny and irrelevant. Finally, non-inscrits make a come back in Parliament with Skill and Chance.

EDIT - Post-election:
The Senate majority remains Democratic/Socialist because Nathan is the most respected politician in the nation and the alternative would be numerically too thin.
The Chamber majority shifts again from a Democratic/Socialist coalition to a Democratic/Independent coalition, after discovolante gets burnt by her party's losses.

Other early elections! To commemorate June 2, the day on which the Italian Republic was born.

Again I took roughly last month, which corresponds to 150 posts or 6 pages. How my posting rate has fallen... and yet, the size of the chambers keeps increasing!

The logic of the parliamentary leaders is always the same.

Battista Minola's 4th Parliament - 2 June 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 48 (40%) - (--) (▼0.7%) Leader: Alcibiades
Socialist - 17 (14.1%) - (--) (▼0.3%) Leader: SlamDunk
Independent - 14 (11.7%) - ▲2 (▲1.5%) Leader: Scott
Other - 14 (11.7%) - ▲2 (▲1.5%) Leader: parochial boy
Republican - 14 (11.7%) - ▲1 (▲0.7%) Leader: realisticidealist
Green - 6 (5%) - ▼1 (▼0.9%) Leader: Donerail
Libertarian - 3 (2.5%) - ▼2 (▼1.7%) Leader: lfromnj
No avatar - 3 (2.5%) - ▲2 (▲1.7%) Leader: Meclazine
Constitution - 1 (0.8%) - ▼2 (▼1.8%) Leader: Cassius

Total seats - 120 [▲2]

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 151 (36.3%) - ▼19 (▼8.7%) Leader: tack50
Independent - 80 (19.2%) - ▲32 (▲6.5%) Leader: CraneHusband
Republican - 56 (13.5%) - ▲23 (▲4.8%) Leader: N/A (realisticidealist acts as a caretaker)
Other - 50 (12%) - ▲17 (▲3.3%) Leader: Cath
Socialist - 50 (12%) - ▼4 (▼2.3%) Leader: Nathan
Green - 15 (3.6%) - ▼10 (▼3%) Leader: khuzifenq
Libertarian - 7 (1.7%) - (--) (▼0.2%) Leader: HCP
No avatar - 6 (1.5%) - ▲5 (▲1.3%) Leader: Georg Ebner
Constitution - 1 (0.2%) - ▼6 (▼1.7%) Leader: Cassius*

*he is the only Constitution recommendator I have

Total seats - 416 [▲38]

A narrative of the election:
- The Democratic Party once again is confirmed as the plurality party, but at the same time keeps sliding down, in particular with a huge blow in the Chamber of Deputies where for the first time they receive a smaller share of the vote than in the Senate. This has been attributed to various factors, like continued electorate fatigue, internal dissatisfaction about the Chamber coalition with the Independents, and an ensuing internal party struggle won by the #ELITIST side, which brings Alcibiades to the Senate caucus leadership. The Chamber one goes to tack50 instead.
- The Independent Party, to the surprise of some, emerges as the clear winner of the night, especially in the Chamber where they become by far the second party, apparently propelled by having become a new safe option for those who want a slice of the pie. However, it has emerged after the election that Abdullah, one of the leaders, greatly exceeded campaign spending limits. He therefore is exlcuded from taking a seat in this Parliament, and will have to stand trial for the violations. Scott and CraneHusband now remain leaders in two, while the future of the Abrahamic Ecumenical Council appears uncertain.
- The Republican Party also has a great night, posting their best result and overtaking Socialists and Others in the Chamber. This is partly down to RI's crossover appeal, which flips a number of populist voters previously oriented towards the Democrats, and partly down to Conservatopia's vigorous campaign... except it is found out that he also greatly exceeded spending limits and therefore it is a court trial and not a seat in Parliament that awaits him. RI on the other hand can enjoy his temporary control of two leadership posts at once.
- The Other Party gains back what it had lost last time and some more, thanks to a more focused message and Chamber leader Cath bringing out all his persuasion powers. Notably, parochial boy returns to Senate leadership.
- The Socialist Party incurs in a huge disappointment, as it does not manage to gain anything from the Democrats' big fall and actually loses seat share again. The ascendancy of the new "hardliner" wing led by SlamDunk, that actually just wants the status quo but with triple social spending and a purge of Democratic dinosaurs, cannot compensate for the collapse of the discovolante wing, hit by retirements and burnouts. Old wise Nathan reluctantly substitutes her in the Chamber, leaving his previous post to SlamDunk himself.
- The Green Party reverts to irrelevancy levels despite khuzifenq's best efforts; apparently, the magic only lasts once. Donerail inherits the Senate leadership post.
- The Libertarian Party and especially the Constitution Party somehow manage to lose plenty of the little they had, with rightists looking over to the Republicans. To conclude, a surprising number of non-affiliateds make their way into Parliament this time.

EDIT - Post-election:
The Senate majority, despite all, keeps being a Democratic/Socialist coalition, with SlamDunk begrudingly accepting the deal made necessary because the Independent and Republican parties have lost too much credibility and the Other Party has too much credibility to lose.
The Chamber majority changes again - the same circumstances forcing the hand in the Senate plus higher shares for the opposition parties lead to a novel and potentially explosive Democratic/Socialist/Green coalition.
The Free Wessex Movement has last been seen posting newspaper ads searching for a new leader. RIP

Were my recommendations nullified?

Conservatopia [...] greatly exceeded spending limits and therefore it is a court trial and not a seat in Parliament that awaits him.

You might very well think that - I couldn't possibly comment...

All the recommendations from both of you were counted, which, incidentally, is the reason why both of your parties did very well. But I thought your prolificness might as well receive a skewering.

I have decided for no particular reason [it has totally nothing to do at all with Nathan returning to maroon after a brief period in orange and Antonio V just coming back from his half-year hiatus] that it is time for a new Parliament of Recommendations.

This time covering 175 posts or almost one month and a half because I wanted to go big. There may be some important changes on the horizon...

From now on I have also decided to assign all parliamentary leaders purely through personal considerations and to insert even more twists in the story.

Battista Minola's 5th Parliament - August 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:

Democratic - 36 (31.6%) - ▼12 (▼8.4%) Leader: Alcibiades
Independent - 17 (14.9%) - ▲3 (▲3.2%) Leader: Scott
Socialist - 17 (14.9%) - (--) (▲0.8%) Leader: discovolante
Other - 16 (14.1%) - ▲2 (▲2.4%) Leader: Cath
Republican - 14 (12.3%) - (--) (▲0.6%) Leader: Averroës Nix
Green - 7 (6.1%) - ▲1 (▲1.1%) Leader: Donerail
Libertarian - 3 (2.6%) - (--) (▲0.1%) Leader: John Dule
No avatar - 3 (2.6%) - (--) (▲0.1%) Leader: WMS
Constitution - 1 (0.9%) - (--) (▲0.1%) Leader: Cassius

Total seats - 114 [▼6]

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:

Democratic - 102 (30.1%) - ▼49 (▼6.2%) Leader: KaiserDave
Other - 71 (20.9%) - ▲21 (▲8.9%) Leader: beesley & Fubart Solman
Socialist - 63 (18.6%) - ▲13 (▲6.6%) Leader: Nathan
Independent - 44 (13%) - ▼36 (▼6.2%) Leader: CraneHusband
Republican - 32 (9.4%) - ▼24 (▼4.1%) Leader: Joseph Cao
Green - 16 (4.7%) - ▲1 (▲1.1%) Leader: Astatine
Libertarian - 5 (1.5%) - ▼2 (▼0.2%) Leader: lfromnj
No avatar - 4 (1.2%) - ▼2 (▼0.3%) Leader: Georg Ebner
Constitution - 2 (0.6%) - ▲1 (▲0.4%) Leader: N/A (Cassius acts as a caretaker)

Total seats - 339 [▼77]

This election may have been a political earthquake. A certain former leader of the Independents and a certain former leader of the Republicans had their recommendations nullified this time, sorry folks were convicted for their old campaign violations, which left their respective parties half-crippled especially for Chamber elections. The Democrats, unable to turn the tide and caught in a negative feedback loop with the need for ever-larger coalitions to govern, lost another huge chunk of the vote, with the biggest problems in the Senate, where their fall ended up producing small gains for literally every other party. The main beneficiary in all of this was the Other Party, finally being able to market its message of government transparency and for a more "serious" politics, which catches a major breakthrough and becomes perhaps the first opposition party in history to reach close to an equal standing with the Democrats. The Socialists also have a reversal of fortunes, possibly caused by the recent return in politics of the vigorous long-time politician Antonio V.

The situation is now extremely complicated, as the Democrats look on the verge of losing their dominant position for good, but there is not yet a clear 'alternative government'. In the end, after some tense deliberation, the Democrats in a desperate move have gone for Democratic/Independent/Republican coalitions in both chambers. The three parties have one thing in common: benefiting from the old status quo the most at the current moment.

New elections! And a huge turnaround! I took my last 100 posts or around last month. A popular referendum has forced a reduction in the size of Parliament.

Battista Minola's 6th Parliament - October 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:

Democratic - 25 (31.2%) - ▼11 (▼0.4%) Leader: Alcibiades
Independent - 14 (17.5%) - ▼3 (▲2.6%) Leader: Scott
Socialist - 13 (16.2%) - ▼4 (▲1.3%) Leader: discovolante
Other - 11 (13.7%) - ▼5 (▼0.4%) Leader: Cath
Republican - 9 (11.3%) - ▼5 (▼1%) Leader: RFayette
Green - 6 (7.5%) - ▼1 (▲1.4%) Leader: Hashemite
Constitution - 1 (1.3%) - (--) (▲0.4%) Leader: wxtransit
No avatar - 1 (1.3%) - ▼2 (▼1.3%) Leader: Georg Ebner
[Libertarian exits Parliament - ▼3 ▼2.6%]

Total seats - 80 [▼34]

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:

Socialist - 54 (27.7%) - ▼9 (▲9.1%) Leader: Nathan & Antonio V
Democratic - 51 (26.1%) - ▼51 (▼4%) Leader: Clarko95
Republican - 26 (13.3%) - ▼6 (▲3.9%) Leader: Joseph Cao
Independent - 22 (11.3%) - ▼22 (▼1.7%) Leader: Lechasseur
Other - 20 (10.3%) - ▼51 (▼10.6%) Leader: shua
Green - 16 (8.2%) - (--) (▲3.5%) Leader: Ishan
No avatar - 5 (2.6%) - ▲1 (▲1.4%) Leader: N/A (Georg Ebner acts as a caretaker)
Constitution - 1 (0.5%) - ▼1 (▼0.1%) Leader: N/A (wxtransit acts as a caretaker)
[Libertarian exits Parliament - ▼5 ▼1.5%]

Total seats - 195 [▼144]

This election was an even bigger political earthquake than the previous one. For the first time ever, the Democrats did not win the popular vote! Narrowly beaten by the Socialists in the Chamber, ending their so very long period of dominance. This, however, does not apply to the Senate, where the new electoral law, which favours parties which are already large, kept the Dems afloat. An energetic campaign primarily orchestrated by Antonio V brought the Socialists to (partial) victory, stealing the thunder of the Other Party in terms of appeal to 'tired' voters, as the latter squandered its sudden popularity and crashed back to its usual tenth. The Greens also picked up some of that and managed to post a relatively impressive result. And for your favourite storyline, the former Independent Party leader is still serving his sentence while the former Republican Party leader is free again and has returned quietly as a backbencher.

The Socialist Party now has a mandate, but the strong divergence between the two chambers is surely going to force an unwieldy coalition again. The end result is that, in pure "Japanese non-LDP governments" style, both branches of government assemble a Socialist/Independent/Republican/Green majority, with a mild program focused on social cohesion. The Others don't take part for various reasons, most importantly that they just halved their votes. And the Democrats for the first time sit in the opposition!

The previous coalition followed a strange course, becoming quickly perceived as almost exclusively a Socialist/Independent affair, the latter party in particular exploiting well its Senate leverage. It rescrambled perceptions of the establishment, levels of engagement, and what it meant to support the status quo. Its fall is blamed on the Socialists and the consequence is a massive surge for the Independents, helped a little by the long-awaited release of Abdullah and a lot by a new sharp, charismatic leader, Progressive Realist. Reinventing themselves once again and playing the role of the insider-insurgent, they overtake everyone to be the third different party topping the Chamber poll in the last three elections. The Senate is still won by the Democrats, the only good thing that can be said about a party which struggled through a term in opposition and kept losing votes in both chambers. Socialists lost significantly for the reasons already alluded to, even if in absolute terms they did fairly well. The polarization of government supporters around one party also caused huge losses to the Greens, now more than ever seen as ersatz Independents, and especially to the Republicans, further troubled by some of their voters disliking the coalition and moving on to revive the Libertarian Party. Finally, the Other Party watches from its 10%-worthy ivory tower as usual.

The unprecedented level of fracture and the system that makes the Senate impervious to wild swings make the Independents' path pretty difficult in spite of their incredible victory. What happens is the return of partially split control. In the Chamber of Deputies, they "forgive" the Socialists and get an Independent/Socialist/Green majority. In the Senate, the impulse to act as if nothing happened is even stronger, motivated by their weaker position, and the majority gets expanded to an absurdist Independent/Socialist/Republican/Green/Non-inscrits. All to keep the Democrats out...

New elections! And with a major twist. The anti-Democratic coalition managed to ram through a reform that abolishes the Senate (noted for having an inherent pro-Democratic bias) while significantly expanding the Chamber of Deputies in return. The Chamber is still elected with the same old system, but it now forms a unicameral parliament.

Battista Minola's 8th Parliament - February 2022

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:

Socialist - 83 (26.9%) - ▲43 (▲5.2%) Leaders: Nathan & Antonio V
Democratic - 59 (19.2%) - ▲13 (▼5.8%) Leaders: KaiserDave & Alcibiades
Independent - 53 (17.2%) - ▲5 (▼8.9%) Leaders: Progressive Realist & Scott
Other - 51 (16.6%) - ▲30 (▲5.2%) Leaders: Heat & Al
Republican - 35 (11.4%) - ▲24 (▲5.4%) Leaders: Cody & Joseph Cao
Green - 10 (3.2%) - ▲4 (▼0.1%) Leaders: Donerail & razze
Constitution - 8 (2.6%) - ▲7 (▲2.1%) Leaders: Mr. Reactionary & Cassius
Libertarian - 8 (2.6%) - ▲3 (▼0.1%) Leaders: Santander & lfromnj
No avatar - 1 (0.3%) - ▼5 (▼3%) Leader: dkxdjy

Total seats - 308 [▲124]

The new, unicameral, Parliament, delivers once again surprising results after wild swings. The Socialists are the ones who win the intra-coalition battle of "take the most credit and the least blame" this time, coming back to first place and now with a comfortable margin as well. Strong credit to Antonio V, possibly the most personally popular politician in the history of the country. Meanwhile the Independents lose a significant amount of votes, including to an Other Party which has overall moved to the left to some degree. The Democrats keep being victims of an irreversible decline, shrinking more and more from The Big Party Of Power to A Bunch Of Committed Loyal Nostalgics; in this election the big tent mostly sheds voters on the conservative side, propelling the 'official' right-wing parties to their best collective result ever (although it's still a paltry seventeen per cent or so).

In a rather unusual move, the Socialist Party decides to offer the Other Party to form a minority government together which will rely on alternate support from the Republicans or the Independents (or possibly someone else) depending on the situation. The Others after long deliberations and assurances about passing the hurdle of a confidence vote accept this, becoming part of the government for the first time. The transformation of the country from generic red avatar background dominance to Kołakowskian conservative-liberal-socialism is now complete.
