Democrats seem to like my posts, as (going back four pages) a whopping 37 out of 60 of the unique people giving me recommendations had red avatars:

Democrat 62%
Socialist 10%
Other 8%
Republican 7%
Constitution 5%
Independent 5%
Green 2%
Libertarian 2%

Members of the 1st Parliament
-House of Commons-

Labor/Left Coalition - 50.86%
     Democratic- 44.26%
     Socialist- 3.3%
     Green- 3.3%

United Right - 27.83%
     Republican- 13.11%
     Right Independents- 4.92%
     Libertarian- 4.9%
     Constitution- 4.9%

Crossbenches
     Independent- 13.1%%
     Other- 8.2%

A center-left government with a fairly moderate opposition that reminds me of the old Progressive Conservative party in Canada before it fell apart (complete with western right-wingers and Red Tories). Overall, a very workable and orderly Parliament, with 61 seats.

A bicameral parliament based on my last 100 posts; the Senate counts unique posters, while the People's House counts individual recommendations. Given the parliamentary setting, I also assumed – possibly unwisely – that party or coalitional loyalty is determined strictly on a left-right basis. Exceptions were made for two posters (TimTurner and Cath) who I gave up on trying to classify, and are therefore listed separately.

Leaders and major figures in the Senate are, in most cases, the posters who gave the most recommendations within their party. Party whips in the House are the posters who gave the most recommendations overall. For giving the most recommendations over the longest time period (an admittedly arbitrary measure), lfromnj is elected House speaker.

Greater Louisiana's Second Congressional District Area election results, May 2020:

56 seats in the Senate (27 for majority, 38 for supermajority)

“The Future is Cao” Alliance (19 seats):
Republican Party: 11 seats (Leader: Mark Meadows)
Conservative Independents: 4 seats (Leader: Encke)
Other Right-Leaning: 1 seat (Muad’dib)
Constitution Party: 2 seats (Leader: TJ in Oregon)
Libertarian Party: 1 seat (lfromnj)

Other Nonaligned: 2 seats (Major Figures: Cath)

Team Joe Coalition (35 seats):
Democratic Party: 20 seats (Leader: Storr)
Liberal Independents: 4 seats (Leader: Weatherboy)
Other Left-Leaning: 4 seats (Leader: MB)
Socialist Workers’ Party: 4 seats (Leader: urutzizu)
Green Party: 3 seats (Leader: gracile)

97 seats in the People's House (49 for majority)

FCA – Party Whip: LouisvilleThunder (42 seats):
Republican Party: 14
Conservative Independents: 19
Other Right-Leaning: 1
Constitution Party: 2
Libertarian Party: 6

Other Nonaligned: 5

TJC – Party Whip: Parrot (50 seats):
Democratic Party: 31
Liberal Independents: 5
Other Left-Leaning: 5
Socialist Workers’ Party: 6
Green Party: 3

The Senate is overwhelmingly dominated by a left-center majority, ranging from socialists like T'Chenka to blue dogs like bagel and andjey, due to the number of (mostly Democratic) posters who made a total of one recommendation. The People's House is much closer as a result of Atlasia-active right-wingers contributing a large number of recommendations per poster, particularly on Fantasy Elections-related posts, and the left escapes with a narrow majority. Partly as a consequence of this, the right-leaning opposition in the People's House is much less moderate than in the Senate, and in conjunction with the narrow margin would lead to a far more acrimonious and disorderly partisan atmosphere in the lower chamber.

Wow this thread is old but is based.

I took roughly last week, which corresponds to 250 posts or 10 pages.

I'll make the Senate by unique posters and the Chamber of Deputies by individual recommends.
By consequence, the Chamber leaders are those with the most recommends, and the Senate leaders are completely by personal preference (but excluding the Chamber leaders).

Battista Minola's 1st Parliament - Mid October 2020

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 43 (45.7%) Leader: tack50
Other - 11 (11.7%) Leader: MB
Socialist - 11 (11.7%) Leader: Nathan
Republican - 10 (10.6%) Leader: DC Al Fine (or Averroës Nix)
Independent - 9 (9.6%) Leader: Scott
Constitution - 3  (3.2%) Leader: TJ
Green - 3 (3.2%) Leader: olawakandi
Libertarian - 2 (2.1%) Leader: John Dule
No avatar - 2 (2.1%) Leader: Anarcho-Statism

Total seats - 94 (Democratic/Socialist majority I guess)

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 102 (52%) Leader: Alex
Other - 26 (13.3%) Leader: Cath
Socialist - 19 (9.7%) Leader: King TChenka
Republican - 18 (9.2%) Leader: Joseph Cao
Independent - 13 (6.6%) Leader: Laki
Constitution - 8 (4.1%) Leader: RoboWop*
No avatar - 4 (2%) Leader: tara gilesbie
Green - 3 (1.5%) Leader: Estrella (or Farmlands)
Libertarian - 3 (1.5%) Leader: AGA**

*technically it should be lfromnj but that's obviously an ironic avatar so I pass
**semi-ironic too I guess but I don't have any other yellow avatars

Total seats - 196 (Democratic majority easily)

I am heavily dominated by normie Dems, especially for number of total individual recommends, plus some Socialists and communitarianish Others. However I have a pretty broad mix, which includes also neolibs (GMac, Blairite, Sev x4) and right-wingers (Fuzzy and Sanchez) and tankies (Anarcho-Statism x2). I also have other forum Institutions like BRTD and Antonio.
Nothing can beat the OC recommend though. Purple heart Purple heart Purple heart

In a controversial move, the Parochial Boy electoral commission decided to abolish the traditional Senate and board-based constituencies because "that sounds like too much work". The results of the Federal elections were as follows, with leaders and federal councillors based on my subjective perception of who came up the most often:

The Atlas People's Party - 31.3% - 67 seats Leader: PR
The 1930s Socialist Party - 15.4% 33 seats Collective Leadership: Big Abraham-Nathan
The Inferior linguistic Regions independence party - 15.4% 33 seats Leader: Battista Minola
The future's f**cked so might as well vote Green party - 13.1% - 28 seats Leader: Zinneke
The Exasperated adult in the room party - 8.9% - 19 seats Leader: DC Al Fine
The Disdainful Ivory Tower Intellectual party - 7.9% - 17 seats Collective leadership: Filuwaurdjan-Smilo
The Middle Eastern Cuisine Liberation Front - 3.3% - 1 seat Note - theoretically entitled to 7 seats, but HCP is the only member, so...
The "how did we wind up in the same" Party? - 2.3% - 5 seats Collective leadership: Peenie Weenie - Cassius
Assorted random others - 2.3% - 5 seats

In the Federal council election, the People's party's shock bad result means it lost a seat in favour of the Ivory Tower party, whose new federal councillor, Cath is expected to be an ally of the Exasperated Adults and Socialists in pushing for more moaning about how things were better in the good old days.

Federal Councillors are
People's Party - Alex, Clarko
Socialist Pary - Tony
Independence party - Palandio
Green - Estrella
Exasperated Adult - Averroes
Ivory Tower - Cath

So here is the 4th term of the Tack50 parliament. (counting repeat recommendations, up to 100 posts):

Tack's Congress of Deputies: 51 seats, 26 for a majority

Democratic: 26 (+14) (Leader: Alex)
Independent: 7 (+2) (Leader: KoopaDaQuick)
Republican: 6 (+2) (Leader: Penn_Quaker_Girl)
Green: 4 (+2) (Leader: Lord Halifax)
Socialist: 4 (+4) (Leader: SWE)
Other: 2 (-) (Leader: MB)
Libertarian: 2 (-1) (Leader: Lfromnj)
No avatar: 0 (-2)
Constitution: 0 (-)

Lfromnj counted as Libertarian for his old L-NJ avatar and not his current meme one

Don't let the numbers fool you since the number of seats has increased. After in May a new government led by a rainbow coalition of everyone except Democrats and Greens; this government seems to have done rather poorly in office.

The Democratic opposition, angry after losing power for the first time, surged dramatically, giving them an overall majority of seats, so they will not even need a coalition partner this time. The Socialists, after falling below the threshold last time, made a good comeback too. The Libertarians despite the expansion of parliament actually lost seats. As for everyone else, the order of Indies closely followed by Republicans to lead the opposition holds, while the Greens went further up and the no avatars disappeared.

The somewhat unpopular PM KoopaDaQuick ends up defeated and will end up being replaced by PM Alex, leading a majority Democratic government.

Tack50-land history:
October 2019-February 2020: Democrat-Green-Socialist coalition
February 2020-May 2020: Democrat minority government (propped up by greens or socialists)
May 2020-October 2020: Independent-Republican-Libertarian-Other-No Avatar coalition
October 2020-present: Democrat Majority government

A much larger than expected majority for the Democrats allowed controversial party leader Stuart98 to be elected easily a Speaker despite the fervent objections of nearly every opposing party and a select few members of his own caucus.

Senate
119 seats. 60 needed for majority.

Democratic Party: 65 seats (54.62%)

While the Democratic Party was also able to capture a strong majority in the Senate, they fell seven seats short of the 72 seats required to clear the 60% filibuster threshold. While this was not expected to be a problem due to the opposition being split between a multitude of ideologically diverse parties, the election of Stuart98 as Speaker of the House of Representatives concerned many Senators across the opposition. Worrying that full Democratic control of the Senate would give the Speaker, believed by many Senators to be a "spammer", complete control of the Congress, the opposition parties began to hold talks. Just days after the opening of Congress, the entire opposition began to filibuster every bill the Democrats put forward, forming what has become known as the Disgruntled Caucus.

While the Democrats have made several attempts to do away with the filibuster since this practice began, they have been unable to thanks to dissention within their own ranks, led by Presidential-allied Sens. YE and Parrotguy and Vice President Ontario Progressive. In addition, while the largest parties in the Disgruntled Caucus are the left-wing DSA and PIC, the initial talks held between the parties are thought to have been led primarily by the President's own TBD and allied SPC and RSD, leading many Democratic leaders and activists to accuse the President of trying to prevent any bills from reaching his desk. Indeed, with no domestic legislation to deal with, the President has opted to embark on a "Grand Diplomacy Tour", having travelled thus far to Cuba, the Bahamas, Seychelles, and Mauritius. When asked about polling showing his approvals deeply underwater and several TBD senators trailing badly for reelection, President Sestak told Politico, "JUNK IT!"

Senate TBD leader Skunk could not be reached for comment.

Using Nathan's model:

House of Delegates
42 seats, 22 for a majority
Independents - 15
Republicans - 14
Democrats - 7
Conservative* - 3
Libertarians - 1
Socialists - 1
Others - 1

Senate
21 seats, 11 for a majority
Republicans - 6
Democrats - 6
Independents - 4
Conservative - 2
Libertarians - 1
Socialists - 1
Others - 1

Constitution = Conservative ITTL. Conservative is an ideologically similar sister party (based on the ideology of the Constitution posters in question) to the Republicans like Peace to Labor in Atlasia and the Republicans ITTL are more like the Federalists of Atlasia. Independent LT (as Speaker, read: PM) leads a grand coalition of most Independents, the "Other" member, the Conservatives, the Republicans, and potentially with aid-and-supply from one or a few Democrats and the Libertarian.

KyTrader/coolface, a Republican, was the Deputy Speaker before he was recalled (banned). The current Deputy Speaker is Cao.

NCY is the PPT of the Senate. The right can make 13 with their potential aid-and-supply partners in other parties; however, this coalition is precarious. The right has more leeway in the House. If the right can garner a majority in the Senate, they might elect fhtagn or Rfayette Senate Majority Leader.

Minority leaders in the House and Senate respectively are Ishan and KaiserDave. Ishan probably has loose control over his caucus due to the ideological nature of many of his members (due to their ideology clashing quite dramatically with his). (However, Ishan had the most lower-assembly recommendations among Democrats).

2020 HCPistan General Election

Social Democrats - 38.64%, 257 seats
The Left - 13.31%, 89 seats
Independent Democratic Alliance - 10.39%, 69 seats
Greens - 7.79%, 52 seats
The New Right - 6.82%, 45 seats
Liberals - 5.84%, 39 seats
Labour Party - 3.90%, 26 seats
Democratic Centre - 3.25%, 22 seat
New Democratic Party - 2.92%, 19 seats
Independents For Change - 2.27%, 15 seats
Feminist Initiative - 2.27%, 15 seats
Christian Democrats - 1.62%, 11 seats
Libertarian Party - 0.65%, 4 seats
White Citizens Council - 0.32%, 2 seats
Speaker, 1 seat

In one of the worst performances for the ruling party, the Social Democrats, led by Parrotguy, still received far and away the largest number of seats, although 76 short of a majority. While pundits expected the Prime Minister to be returned with a coalition government, what happened next shocked the country; a rainbow coalition to oust the Social Democrats after nine decades of constant rule.

Leader of the mainline socialist party, the Left, MB, cobbled together the IDA, composed of mostly centrist independents, the Greens led by Razze, the Liberals (ironic Republicans) led by Kongress, the Labour Party (left-wing orange avatars) led by Sestak, the Democratic Centre (corporate Buddhist Bennetites) led by scuto, the New Democratic Party (troll left wing orange avatars) led jointly by ltom and Technocracy Timmy, the Independents for Change (left wing independents) led by Scott, and the Feminist Initiative led by Skunk. This bizarre coalition of chaos had 346 seats, 13 more than necessary.

The crossbench was composed of the New Right (unironic Republicans) led by Sanchez, the Christian Democrats (right-leaning orange avatars) led by Cath, the Libertarians of lfromnj, and the White Citizens Council (unironic fascists) led by gr assroots.

MB was inaugurated as the first non-Social Democrat Prime Minister since 1927.

Parrotguy resigned from his position as Leader of the Social Democrats. His official statement was: "Horrible. Just horrible."

The rather unstable nature of MB's "Rainbow Coalition" government meant it collapsed almost immediately. The second election in 2020 in HCPistan saw some monumental shifts in the electorate; the Social Democrats saw a resurgence in their support after electing their new leader Ted Bessell, what came to be described by the state media as "Bessellmania". Other big winners were the Independents for Change caucus, leader nominally by Scott, who quadrupled their seat share, and the Liberal Party, whose leader Kongress stayed the course for an 11-seat gain. A new party emerged, the Antifa Alliance, led by Santander, who was elected into the parliament alongside 7 others.

2020 HCPistan General Election, Take II

Social Democrats - 48.42%, 322 seats (+65)
The Left - 11.43%, 76 seats (-13)
Independents For Change - 9.02%, 60 seats (+45)
Liberals - 7.52%, 50 seats (+11)
Democratic Centre - 3.91%, 26 seats (+4)
Greens - 3.76%, 25 seats (-27)
The New Right - 3.31%, 22 seats (-23)
Christian Democrats - 2.56%, 17 seats (+6)
Labour Party - 2.41%, 16 seats (-10)
Independent Democratic Alliance - 1.95%, 13 seats (-59)
Feminist Initiative - 1.80%, 12 seats (-3)
New Democratic Party - 1.50%, 10 seats (-9)
ANTIFA Alliance - 1.20%, 8 seats (+8)
Libertarian Party - 1.20%, 8 seats (+4)
Speaker, 1 seat

Social Democratic leader Ted Bessell reached out and formed a governing coalition with Labour's Sestak, who would become Minister of State Security, a most coveted position within the cabinet.

Meanwhile, the broad front Rainbow Coalition collapsed as the Liberals, Democratic Centre, and the Independent Democrats (in addition to the poached Labour Party) left the coalition to sit on the crossbench. PM MB was reinstalled as Leader of the Opposition, and Ted Bessell was inaugurated as Prime Minister of HCPistan, erasing MB's government as a mere blip in the 93-year long Social Democratic domination of the office.

Parliament of Recommendations
Liberal Party 5 MPs
Major Leaders: Santander, ReaganClinton, Parrotguy, Harry S Truman
Green Peace Front 4 MPs
Major Leaders: Scott, KoopaDaQuick
Hoxhaist-Confederate Party 3 MPs
Major Leaders: MB
Republican Party 2 MPs
Major Leaders: Chairman Sanchez, Fuzzy Bear
Other 3 MPs

As a result, the Liberals formed a coalition with the Green Peace front, and Harry S Truman and Scott become Prime Ministers for a half of a term after a failed attempt at a Hoxhaist-Confederate, Green Peace Front and Republican Party coalition supporting Pro-Liberty policies.

Went through my entire posting history since I joined here a month ago. I counted 193 unique recommendations, though I didn't record counts for repeat recommenders.

61.1% Democratic (118 users)
 7.3% Socialist (14 users)
 2.1% Green (4 users)
 5.7% Republican (11 users)
 1.6% Libertarian (3 users)
 1.0% Constitution (2 users)
12.4% Independent (24 users)
 4.7% Other (9 users)
 4.2% No avatar (8 users)

Summary:
70.5% left, 8.3% right, 21.2% other/indie

Projection: Democratic majority

Amusing that I was elected Speaker/Prime Minister in two other users parliaments.

Democratic: 26.7% (43 seats)
Other: 21.1% (34 seats)
Socialist: 14.3% (23 seats)
Republican: 11.8% (19 seats)
Independent Bloc: 10.5% (17 seats)
Constitution: 7.5% (12 seats)
Green: 5.0% (8 seats)
Libertarian: 3.1% (5 seats)

Parliament of 161 seats, due to its fragmented nature the government, as always, is formed by the Triapartito of the Democratic (moderate liberal), Other Party (centrist, with both centre-left and centre-right corrente) and Republican (conservative) parties, with outside support from the heterogenous and clientelistic Independent Bloc. This gives the government an official majority of 96/161.

I knew you loved Il Divo but wow

In which spirit, I am pretty sure every party is just as clientelistic as the Independent Bloc.

Was bored tonight so I went through the last few pages of my posting history and came up with the following:

52.5% Democratic (31/59)
23.7% Independent (14/59)
8.5% Other/No-Avatar (5/59)
5.1% Socialist (3/59)
5.1% Green (3/59)
3.4% Republican (2/59)
1.7% Libertarian (1/59)

However, I don't see my Democratic Party majority actually supporting me. I think the spine of my coalition would have to be from the independents with others, socialists, and greens lending their support. Throw in ten left-wing Democrats and I've got myself the world's most unstable governing coalition. It looks like JoeSirus, Anarcho-Statism, and PSOL would be my key deputies.
