I counted each individual recommendation because more seats are more fun. The "new" legislature are the first six or so pages of my posting history, the "old" one (the one it's compared to) is the next six and a half.

Should also note that the descriptions are not based on actual posters at all, which kind of defies the point but whatever.

The Chamber of Representatives of the Republic of Estrellia
300 seats / 151 needed for a majority

People's Party — 130 (▼39) 43.3% (▼13.0)
hideously corrupt party of power, no ideology except Representing The Common People™, Protecting The Interests of Fatherland™ and looting the state coffers, impossible to find a person who doesn't have a sticker/t-shirt/tote/pen/mug/poster/flag/bath rug with their logo

Socialist Party — 72 (▲29) 24.0% (▲9.7)
hopeless high-energy "MASSACRE THE BOURGEOISE" permanent opposition party turned hopeless low-energy "more social spending pweeease" permanent opposition party, its base having shifted accordingly from factory workers to Chardonnay-drinking suburban moms

Centre Alliance — 43 (▲14) 14.3% (▲4.7)
our ideology is that we aren't PP or SP and that we want more fluffy bunnies (massive ammounts of fluffy bunnies for everyone, in fact), what we're best at is polling at 40% a year before the election only to get a pathetic result because our campaigns are run by idiots

Independent Reformist Union — 27 (▼5) 9.0% (▼1.7)
a cross-party alliance of experts to finally fix this country's probl- lol jk we're just a gang of old PP dinosaurs who got kicked out from the party because we were too corrupt even for them, also we offer this amazing service where if you vote for us the tires on your car won't get slashed

The Greens — 17 (▲2) 5.7% (▲0.7)
the party of urban bobo art students who hate SP for not talking enough about vegan school lunches and the plight of full-time copywriters, also we hate carbon but want to shut down all nuclear power plants because that somehow makes sense

Conservative Party — 4 (━ 0) 1.3% (━ 0.0)
the respectable middle class opposition party back when SP was still in its red-flags-and-general-strikes phase, led the only non-PP government in country's history whose record was so catastrophic that they've never won more than half a dozen seats since

The Nationalists — 2 (▲1) 0.7% (▲0.3)
haha the libs are such #triggered snowlakes but I'm scared of women in hijab

Libertarians — 1 (━ 0) 0.3% (━ 0.0)
founded by dropouts from Estrellia School of Economics

No affiliation — 4 (▼2) 1.3% (▼0.7)
a random fluoride conspiracy crank, an ex-Green kicked out for being a TERF, an ex-Green kicked out for not being a TERF, and the governor of a province with more llamas than people running on the platform that her province does indeed exist

Incumbent government: PP+IRU (157 seats) aka Morocco Coalition

House of Delegates
33 seats, 17 needed for a majority
Independent - 20 (+5)
Republican - 6 (-8)
Democratic - 4* (-3)
Make Midland Great Again* - 3 (new)
Libertarian - 2 (+1)
Conservative* - 1 (-1)

Senate
23 seats, 12 needed for a majority
Independents - 8
Republican - 5 (-1)
Democratic - 3 (-3)
Libertarian - 2 (+1)
Conservative - 1 (-1)
Make Midland Great Again - 1 (new)

Notes: The one Constitution member is shown as a Conservative here, given his ideology. CON is a center-right party, in Midland.

Cao leads the Republicans, with Dr. RI as his deputy. Matthew's wife, Jessica, was the deputy leader of the Republicans before she stepped down due to personal reasons.

The R and D caucuses have gone through big shifts with a lot of resignations since the last election. The new leader of the Democrats is MB who is registered with a minor party in Midland (avatar: Other) but leads the Democrats. The Democratic caucus is ideologically diverse and there is a lot of infighting in the party.

(Muaddib's delegates [2] are shown as Independent here for simplicity's sake).

There are many Independents in Midland, with the Democrats currently courting some of the left-wing Independents. The size of the House of Delegates decreased since the last election. The MMGA party is new and is led by SN. DTC is the lone Conservative. LT can get to 16 seats with SN and DTC's support and may be able to draw in more Independents. Additionally, the Republicans are likely partners for incumbent Speaker LT.

Muaddib serves in the Senate, where he is the probable Speaker. Other prominent Senators include PSOL, Koopa, dfw, and YT, all of whom are serving as Independents. With the support of the MMGA and Conservative parties and of course, the Republicans, the Independent LT-YT coalition has control of the Senate with at least thirteen seats. The Senate increased in size by two seats since the last election. Dfw is President pro tempore emeritus.

All right, time for a new one. Went back 3 weeks (to February 5, or 252 posts). Got a full 753 recommends, allowing me to build a parliament the size of the EP pre-Brexit. Here are the results:

Socialist Party: 171

Green Party: 21
 - Leftist: 20
 - Conserva-green: 1

Democratic Party: 369
 - Progressive: 273
 - Moderate: 96

Others: 58
 - Left-leaning: 31
 - Ambiguous: 26
 - Right-leading: 1

Independents: 85
 - Left-leaning: 44
 - Centrist/Unclear: 33
 - Right-leaning: 8

Unknown: 11
 - Left-leaning: 6
 - Unclear: 5

Libertarian Party: 8
 - LINO: 5
 - Other: 3

Republican Party: 27
 - Conservative: 11
 - Christian Democratic: 5
 - Populist: 2
 - RINO: 9

Constitution Party: 3

Compared to my previous one, Democrats have made major gained, going to just over a third to nearly an absolute majority. Socialists have also made gains, but Greens collapsed, so that the total share of leftist parties dropped slightly (26.8% to 25.5%). Right-wing representation collapsed, though, not just in percentage but in absolute numbers. At this point, the combined right-wing parties make up just 5%. Indies, others and no-avs also declined slightly from 23% to 20.5%. So, overall, a more partisan makeup, probably due to the fact that my recent posts have been largely focused on US policymaking.

Anyway, with this numbers, Democrats could probably safely run a minority government supported by liberal-leaning indies. Socialists and greens would form the main opposition bloc.

Prime Minister: Bruce Joel (Dem)

Leader of the Opposition: Alfred F. Jomes (Soc)

Socialist Party Floor Leader: Nathan
Green Party Floor Leader: Estrella
Democratic Party Floor Leader: Ishan
Others Caucus Floor Leader: Parochial Boy
Independent Caucus Floor Leader: PR
Unknown Affiliation Caucus Floor Leader: Tara Gilesbie
Libertarian Party Floor Leader: Santander (lol)
Republican Party Floor Leader: Joseph Cao
Constitution Party Floor Leader: TJ

Ideologically, there are about 506 left-leaning members, an over two-thirds supermajority. There are at most just 28 which can reliably be identified as right-wing.

I should probably do one of these again when I have the time.

As an aside, it's hilarious that I've appeared over half a dozen times by now. Really puts that post of mine from months ago about being addicted to smashing the recommendation button into perspective.

Last 50 posts.

Senate: 67 seats (individual posters)

Democratic Party of Nathania: 34 seats
Socialist Workers' Party: 12 seats
Independence Party: 7 seats
Republican Party: 4 seats
Libertarian Party: 1 seat
Green Party: 1 seat

Mixed group (Labor Party, Christian Democratic Party, Democratic Center): 7 seats
Non-inscrit: 1 seat

Chamber of Deputies: 134 seats (individual recommendations)

Democratic Party: 67 seats
Socialist Workers' Party: 33 seats
Independence Party: 10 seats
Republican Party: 9 seats
Libertarian Party: 1 seat
Green Party: 1 seat

Mixed group: 12 seats
Non-inscrit: 1 seat

The Democratic Party holds a one-seat majority in the Senate and exactly half of the seats in the Camera. It probably governs with support from the mixed group (likely the "Labor Party" posters, Al and Ses). Most opposition parties are left-wing; even the Republicans (represented exclusively by VAR, Averroes, RI, and Joe "I have no empathy" Biden) are more left than right on material issues, differing from the country's extremely strong center-left-to-left consensus only on cultural issues.

Discovolante and Mr. X are tied for most recommendations given so Mr. X is PM and discovolante is dragged to the Speaker's chair in the Camera. KaiserDave has only one fewer recommendation given so he's Deputy PM and government leader in the Senate. President of the Senate is probably Unbeatable Titan Luis Arce.

I made 50 posts in February, which got a total of 156 recommendations from 84 different users.

By posts:
Democratic: 72 (46%)
Socialist: 24 (15%)
Republican: 10 (6%)
Green: 6 (4%)
Libertarian: 1 (1%)
Independent: 25 (16%)
Other 17 (11%)
No avatar: 1 (1%)

By users:
Democratic: 34 (40%)
Socialist: 15 (18%)
Republican: 8 (10%)
Green: 3 (4%)
Libertarian: 1 (1%)
Independent: 12 (14%)
Other 10 (12%)
No avatar: 1 (1%)

In both cases Democrats and Socialists form a clear majority. It seems like people who aren't on the left don't tend to care for my posts.

Well, it looks like this is time to make a new Parliament of Recommendations.

I took again roughly last week, which this time corresponds to only 125 posts or 5 pages. Funnily the number of total recommends is even somewhat higher in spite of that, although that of unique posters is a bit lower.

The logic of the parliamentary leaders is the same.

Battista Minola's 2nd Parliament - Late February 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 39 (45.3%) - ▼4 (▼0.4%) Leader: HenryWallaceVP
Socialist - 13 (15.1%) - ▲2 (▲3.4%) Leader: Nathan
Independent - 9 (10.5%) - (--) (▲0.9%) Leader: CraneHusband
Other - 9 (10.5%) - ▼2 (▼1.2%) Leader: parochial boy
Republican - 8 (9.3%) - ▼2 (▼1.3%) Leader: Joseph Cao (or Averroës Nix)
Green - 5 (5.8%) - ▲2 (▲2.6%) Leader: razze
Libertarian - 2 (2.3%) - (--) (▲0.2%) Leader: lfromnj
Constitution - 1 (1.2%) - ▼2 (▼2%) Leader: SunriseAroundTheWorld
[No avatar exits Parliament - ▼2 ▼2.1%]

Total seats - 86 [▼8] - Democratic/Socialist majority confirmed

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 104 (45.4%) - ▲2 (▼6.8%) Leader: KaiserDave
Socialist - 48 (21%) - ▲29 (▲11.3%) Leader: discovolante
Other - 26 (11.3%) - (--) (▼2%) Leader: Cath
Independent - 21 (9.2%) - ▲8 (▲2.6%) Leader: Thunder98
Republican - 14 (6.1%) - ▼4 (▼3.1%) Leader: Conservatopia
Libertarian - 8 (3.5%) - ▲5 (▲2%) Leader: Santander
Green - 6 (2.6%) - ▲3 (▲1.1%) Leader: Lourdes
Constitution - 2 (0.9%) - ▼6 (▼3.2%) Leader: SunriseAroundTheWorld... again*
[No avatar exits Parliament - ▼4 ▼2%]

*he's the only tan avatar recommendator I have

Total seats - 229 [▲33] - Democratic majority lost, Democratic/Socialist coalition incoming

The previous status quo of a large Democratic plurality and fragmented opposition gets mostly confirmed, with the only exception being a strong Socialist breakthrough in the Chamber animated by Nathan (leader of the cattocomunista wing) and discovolante (leader of the radical eco-feminist pagan-affirming wing), which makes the Dems lose their majority there and forces a coalition. In general, a general shift leftwards can be seen. Also, all the non-inscrits lose their seats in Parliament. There's a lot of turnover in the parliamentary leaders, with only Titans Nathan and Cath getting confirmed, plus Averroës keeping his post of Republican Senate Whip and Joseph Cao moving from Chamber to Senate.

Forumlurkerland senate elections:
February 2021.

48 Seats up

By avatar:
Democrat 20 (-3)
Republican 3 (-6)
Independent 13 (+6)
Socialist 6 (+3)
Other 2 (-1)
Libertarian 3 (+1)
Constitutionalist 1 (0)

By (new) party:
Labor: 18
Leader: Adam Griffin
Liberal: 12
Leader: Proud Moderate
Indy: 5
Leader: Jimmy
People’s: 5
Leader: PSOL
Conservative: 4
Leader: Cao
Green: 2
Leader: Koopa
Nationalist: 2
Leader: Eellis

It was a rose wave really. I’m sure if I had the same categories as before, socialists would have gained the most.

Here is the 5th term of the Tack50 parliament. As always, going down only 100 posts

Tack's Congress of Deputies (89 seats, 45 for a majority)

Democratic: 38 (+12) (Leader: Alex)
Independent: 11 (+4) (Leader: Louisville Thunder)
Socialist: 10 (+6) (Leader: Peanut)
Other: 9 (+7) (Leader: Sestak)
Republican: 6 (-) (Leader: Joseph Cao)
Green: 5 (+1) (Leader: Talleyrand)
Libertarian: 4 (+2) (Leader: Lfromnj)
No avatar: 4 (+4) (Leader: Oakvale)
Constitution: 2 (+2) (Leader: Peenie_weenie)

Much like in the previous term, tack50 land has seen a lot of population growth which means a dramatic expansion of parliament.

The Democrats, controlled by PM Alex, running for a second term, while they on paper performed well they actually lost ground relative to the other parties, meaning they lost their majority.

The opposition would once again be led by the Independent party, which turned right in this term in an attempt to gain more right wing voters, with Louisville Thunder as its leader. The effort didn't seem to pay off much on the current environment though they did manage to narrowly retain second place.

The loss relative to the opposition of the Democrats was mostly profited by the Socialist Party, which surged dramatically thanks to its new leader Peanut, which led the party to an impressive second place. The Other Party was an even bigger winner, going from 2 to 9 seats thanks to much competent leadership from electoral hero Sestak.

It was a hard night for the Republican Party. Leader Cao was unable to follow off the good result of his predecessor PQG, and led his party to a crushing defeat, with quite a bit of the diminishing conservative oxygen taken away by the Independents.

As for everyone else, they performed according to expectations. The Green Party, now led by Talleyrand, went from 4 to 5 and the Libertarian Party, again led by lfromnj; went from 2 to 4. Neither saw any big surge.

However the super tiny parties did have a good night. The No Avatars Party, led by Oakvale made it back to parliament with a good result of 4 seats. Even more impressively, Peenie_weenie's Constitution Party made it back to parliament after dropping out of it for 3 elections in a row.

Coalition building was not too hard. The Democrats were the only party with a realistic chance and so Alex led a second Democratic government, this time a minority government propped up by the Other or the Socialist party depending on the issue.

Tack50-land history:
October 2019-February 2020: Democrat-Green-Socialist coalition
February 2020-May 2020: Democrat minority government
May 2020-October 2020: Independent-Republican-Libertarian-Other-No Avatar coalition
October 2020-March 2020: Democrat Majority government
March 2020-present: Democrat minority government (propped up by Socialist or "Other Party)

Only doing October

Constitutional - 1
Democrat - 37
Green - 2
Independent - 8
Libertarian - 1
Other - 3
Republican - 8
Socialist - 10

In a House of 70, there's a Democratic majority of 5 over all other parties. Socialists form the Opposition.

The person who has given me the most recommendations and will therefore dragged to the Speakers Chair is Nathan.

Constitutional - 1 (0)
Democrat - 27 (-10)
Green - 2 (0)
Independent - 13 (5)
Libertarian - 0 (-1)
Other - 6 (+3)
Republican - 5 (-3)
Socialist - 16 (6)

Democrats remain the largest party but lose their majority.

The person who has given me the most recommendations and will therefore dragged to the Speakers Chair is, I think, Cathcon.

I've been keeping to this evetry six months!

October 2020

Constitutional - 1 (0)
Democrat - 44 (17)
Green - 3 (1)
Independent - 8 (-5)
Libertarian - 0 (-1)
Other - 2 (-4)
Republican - 6 (1)
Socialist - 16 (-10)

Democratic majority of 18. Making some 17 gains at the expense of the Socialists dropping 10 and the Independents dropping 5. No clear front runner for Speaker.

Early Elections!

March 2021

Constitutional - 0 (-1)
Democrat - 29 (-15)
Green - 5 (2)
Independent - 3 (-5)
Libertarian - 0 (-)
Other - 1 (-1)
Republican - 7 (1)
Socialist - 25 (9)

Big swing from Democrat to Socialist. Socialists/Greens form minority government ousting the Democrats for the first time.

khuzifenq region 1st Gov't - March 2020 through August 2020

Forumlurker161 caucuses with the (non-leftist) Independents. Dwarven Dragon caucuses with Other. PR, Pikachu, and Oregon Blue Dog caucus with the Democrats.

Upper Chamber (unique recommenders):
Democratic - 32 (58.2%) Leader: Pericles
Socialist - 3 (5.4%) Leader: NOVA Green
Independent - 6 (10.9%) Leader: Horus
Other - 4 (7.2%) Leader: MB
Republican - 7 (12.7%) Leader: Penn_Quaker_Girl
Green - 1 (1.8%) Leader: olawakandi
Libertarian - 1 (1.8%) Leader: DabbingSanta
Constitution - 1 (1.8%) Leader: peenie weenie
No Avatar- 0 (0%)

Total seats - 55 - D majority

Lower Chamber (total recommends):
Democratic - 45 (56.25%)
Socialist - 4 (5.00%)
Independent - 12 (15.00%)
Other - 5 (6.25%)
Republican - 11 (13.75%)
Libertarian - 1 (1.25%)
Green - 1 (1.25%)
Constitution - 2 (2.50%)
No Avatar- 0 (0%)

Total seats - 80 - D majority*

* I'd like to imagine there could be a Jamaica coalition with Republicans + peenie weenie as "black", Other + non-leftist Indepedents + DabbingSanta as "yellow", and Socialist + leftist Independents + olawakandi as "green"... if there are enough dissenting DINOs who want to keep Labor the progressive Dem establishment out of power. I suspect Bagel23, tack50, and ultraviolet would be most likely to go along with this.

L-avatar and null-avatar recommends were all unique; caucus leaders were selected at random. May have counted the D-avatars incorrectly. Too lazy to check which D-avatar gave me the most recommends.

Independent - 11
Republican - 5
Democrat - 17
Green - 2
Socialist - 5

Possible coalitions:

Democratic + (some) independents
Democratic + Socialist
Democratic + Green + (some) independents
Republican + Independent + Socialist
Anti-Democratic coalition

There's a possibility for a red-green-red coalition which could be named the Bangladesh coalition LOL.

House of Delegates
70 seats, 36 for a majority
Republicans: 27 (+21)
Independents: 26 (+6)
Democratic: 5 (+2)
Labor*: 5 (new)
Libertarian: 2
Socialist: 1 (new)
Others*: 4 (+4)

Senate
37 seats, 19 for a majority
Independents: 15 (+7)
Republicans: 9 (+4)
Democratic: 4 (+1)
Labor: 4 (new)
Libertarian: 2
Socialist: 1 (new)
Others: 2 (+2)

Khuzifenq is the leader of the House Democrats. Cao is the leader of the House Republicans. PQG leads the party's moderate caucus (which is made up of mostly Caoites and constitutes 16/27 of the party's lower chamber seats).

Most of the Independents are center-left or center-right populists. Two-term PM LT commands a coalition of eight direct allies out of the House Independents and newcomer Abdullah leads six. Additionally, Laki was elected alongside two allies for this session—all three as Independents.

Notable Independent Senators include Poirot, L.D. Smith, bronz, Thunder98, Lechasseur, and Scott.

John Dule is a Libertarian Senator and dead0man is a (Libertarian) Delegate. AGA is a Democratic Senator. Socialist-avatars from Atlasia who I know constitute the Democratic sister party, Labor. YE leads the Senate Laborites and OBD leads the House Laborites. Leinad and Peanut are the deputy leaders or whips (whichever post), in one house each. The deputy leader and whip post might actually be combined since the caucus is small.

Okthisisnotepic is the Deputy Leader of the House Republicans and SN leads the Senate Republican Conference. Rfayette is the Deputy Leader of the Republicans in the Senate and fhtagn is the party whip. Dr. RI, PiT, and TheReckoning are other notable Republican Senators.

TimTurner and Sprouts are members of minor parties and usually caucus with larger parties. Sprouts is a Senator and TimTurner leads three in the House.

The New Government

No one receives a majority in the House vote for Prime Minister and Labor and the Democrats favor Cao in the second round, viewing him as the 'lesser evil.'

Cao snubs the left in choosing Fmr. PM LT as his Deputy and LT is appointed to a vacancy in the Senate and tapped as Senate Majority Leader shortly thereafter.

In continuing the Republican-LT Coalition/LT Independents alliance and with the support of many Independents in general, the government has ~47-52 votes in favor depending on the issue at hand, with the potential to expand that number if the issue has broad support.

Senate Majority Leader LT has at least 22 members in favor of the government in the Senate.

Wow, we are all the way to 6 terms now. Here is the results of a snap election. As always going to 100 posts only.

Alex and S019 have been counted as red avatars, not their meme blue avatars

6th Tack Congress of Deputies (126 seats, 64 for a majority)

Democratic: 54 (+16) (Leader: khuzifenq)
Independent: 19 (+8) (Leader: Abdullah)
Republican: 18 (+12) (Leader: AustralianSwingVoter)
Other: 13 (+4) (Leader: Big Abraham)
Libertarian: 11 (+7) (Leader: Lfromnj)
Socialist: 7 (-3) (Leader: ultraviolet)
Green: 4 (-4) (Leader: Donerail)
No avatar: 0 (-4)
Constitution: 0 (-2)

Yet another term of strong population growth meant an even larger parliament.

The Democrats seem to have profited from the last term of Alex as PM, even if this last term was very divisive and divided the population a lot. Alex decided to retire and instead khuzifenq would lead the party into the next election. Khuzifenq managed to have the Democratic Party retain its role as the predominant party of Tack50land; although this time it seems it was mostly by stealing from some of their closest allies.

Indeed the Socialist Party did horribly, going from 10 seats to 7 despite the large parliament expansion, and being the 2nd smallest party in parliament. Still, they'd retain enough representation to be kingmakers on some issues.

The Green Party did even worse, getting half the seats in a parliament that was even larger than before; perhaps due to their lack of visibility or other issues; but regardless the only just barely made the threshold after several recounts.

The Constitution Party, who had made a comeback for the first time; as well as the No Avatar Party weren't so lucky and went back to being below the threshold as it had been traditional for them.

On the other side of the political aisle, this was one of the most polarizing elections in Tack50land history, with the Independents, Republicans, Others and Libertarians all wanting to rule together if they got a majority; and they almost managed to do it.

The Independent Party had a decent showing, with their new leader Abdullah being rather charismatic, and going back to their more centrist appeals, especially after they had turned right last term. They were in strong competition for 2nd and barely managed to retain it.

After the complete destruction of the Republicans last term, few expected such a spectacular comeback. Yet leader AustralianSwingVoter almost managed to single handedly resurrect a party which tripled its number of seats. The Republican Party was back in business and ready.

The Others Party meanwhile, who had turned slightly right this term, didn't see a good showing, though it wasn't completely terrible. Leader Big Abraham saw a fairly mediocre result with little to note whether good or bad. Perhaps this might have been a combination of the polarization and the fact that they often supported Alex's divisive Democratic government

The biggest surprise of the evening however came from the Libertarian Party, which had a huge surge thanks to the tireless efforts of their incredibly charismatic leader lfromnj; who managed to turn this small and often fringe party into one that was competing with the Other Party for quite a while.

Given the incredibly polarized nature of this election; with the Democrats in one side and the big opposition coalition in the other, coalition building was surprisingly easy. The tiny Green Party ended up as the kingmakers despite having only a mere 4 seats and only barely making the threshold. In the end; they decided to back Democratic leader Khuzifenq for a 6th Democratic term; even when they were tempted to form a government with the right.

Thus, a Democratic-Socialist-Green coalition government was sworn in; a government which enjoyed a measly 1 seat majority

History of Tack50land

October 2019-February 2020: Democrat-Green-Socialist coalition
February 2020-May 2020: Democrat minority government

October 2020-March 2020: Democrat Majority government
March 2020-April 2020: Democrat minority government (propped up by Socialist or "Other Party")
April 2020-Present: Democrat-Socialist-Green coalition

TimTurnerland's parliamentary elections returned another strong Dem plurality. One-party Democratic government with the support of independents looked set to continue, but new Socialist party leader Alfred Jones engineered a unifying of non-Dem forces eager to get a hold on power, including even the Republicans. For the first time, it might look as though the Democratic reign on power might possibly end, with independents up for grabs and powerful newcomer Abdullah interested in weighing his options, but it soon devolved into a game between Abdullah and Alfred Jones over who might be more able to mustle out more of a hand by which they could deal with Khuzifenq. It ended up being all for naught as all while a right faction Democrat AGA was elected Speaker with Republican, libertarian, No Avatar, and Constitutionalist support, Khuzifenq outmaneuvered them both and teamed up with Scott and VA Republican, announcing a center-left cabinet supported by establishment, quasi-centrist elements in multiple parties, with a disproportionate number of Republican and Independent ministers. Abdullah and Alfred Jones soon joined in as confidence partners, hoping to get some influence over the government. Smilo ended up as de facto Opposition leader once all was said and done, a role he would fulfill with gusto.

Early elections! To commemorate April 25, a day of profound democratic significance in Italy, and also in Portugal.

This time I took roughly last month, which corresponds to 225 posts or 9 pages. This means the parliament's size gets significantly increased, especially for what concerns the Chamber.

The logic of the parliamentary leaders is always the same. Now with proper joint leaderships!

Battista Minola's 3rd Parliament - 25 April 2021

Battista Minola's Senate:
Democratic - 48 (40.7%) - ▲9 (▼4.6%) Leader: JoeInator
Socialist - 17 (14.4%) - ▲4 (▼0.7%) Leader: Nathan
Republican - 13 (11%) - ▲5 (▲1.7%) Leader: realisticidealist
Independent - 12 (10.2%) - ▲3 (▼0.3%) Leader: Scott
Other - 12 (10.2%) - ▲3 (▼0.3%) Leader: Al Filuwaúrdjan
Green - 7 (5.9%) - ▲2 (▲0.1%) Leader: Estrella
Libertarian - 5 (4.2%) - ▲3 (▲1.9%) Leader: Santander
Constitution - 3 (2.6%) - ▲2 (▲1.4%) Leader: SunriseAroundTheWorld
No avatar - 1 (0.8%) - ▲1 (▲0.8%) Leader: Skill and Chance

Total seats - 118 [▲32]

Battista Minola's Chamber of Deputies:
Democratic - 170 (45%) - ▲66 (▼0.4%) Leader: Alex
Socialist - 54 (14.3%) - ▲6 (▼6.7%) Leader: discovolante
Independent - 48 (12.7%) - ▲27 (▲3.5%) Leader: Abdullah and CraneHusband (joint leadership)
Other - 33 (8.7%) - ▲7 (▼2.6%) Leader: Cath and shua (joint leadership)
Republican - 33 (8.7%) - ▲19 (▲2.6%) Leader: Conservatopia
Green - 25 (6.6%) - ▲19 (▲4%) Leader: khuzifenq
Constitution - 7 (1.9%) - ▲5 (▲1%) Leader: Cassius
Libertarian - 7 (1.9%) - ▼1 (▼1.6%) Leader: lfromnj
No avatar - 1 (0.2%) - ▲1 (▲0.2%) Leader: Skill and Chance... again*

*they are the only no avatar recommendator I have

Total seats - 378 [▲149]

A narrative of the election:
- The Democratic Party, a natural party of government whose ideology is basically keeping the vaguely leftist status quo and getting as many patronage posts as possible, all with a heavy dose of #POPULISM at which party whips KaiserDave and Kuumo excel, keeps slowly losing in percentage, this time especially in the Senate. Its Chamber leader post goes back to Alex. Its Senate leader post goes to JoeInator, who is a newbie but is beloved by all the population for his personal background (Italian, Catholic, Gen Z).
- The Socialist Party, half of which believes in "We'll do everything the Democrats do but with more carnations and labour unions and we also believe in Consistent Life Ethic" (Nathan, YE) and half of which believes in "We'll do everything the Democrats do but also smash the patriarchy and make cool maps" (discovolante, Sol), loses most of what it gained from the Dems in the previous election, with disgruntled left-populists leaving for the Independent and Green parties after the coalition government of the previous Chamber session. Its leaders remain the same.
- The Independent Party, a weird coalition of left-leaning idiosyncratic people who hate the Democrats because they are contrarians, takes a strange turn and becomes an affiliate of the Abrahamic Ecumenical Council, with Christian leader Scott, Jewish leader CraneHusband, and Muslim leader Abdullah becoming the new parliamentary leaders and enjoying their sizable gains and newfound solid third place in the Chamber.
- The Other Party, a testimonial party for intellectuals of various persuasions who don't like graft, registers losses of more right-oriented voters in favour of the Republicans. The leadership continues the format of Christian democrats in the Chamber and people more to the left in the Senate, although new entry Al Filuwaúrdjan wants to remind everyone very pointedly he's Labour, not Left.
- The Republican Party, which purportedly is the right-wing party but in practice supports most of the status quo except they want more Christianity and communitarianism and family values in the mix and is only in opposition because the scary mean Democrats are acultural secularists, rebounds somewhat siphoning voters off the Others. Conservatopia keeps the top spot in the Chamber while the Senate leadership goes to RI, a politician remarkable for his Catholicism and his crossover appeal.
- The Green Party, which is not actually ecologist but just a spin-off of the Independent Party for even more contrarian people, hires khuzifenq who proceeds thanks to a very aggressive campaign to bring it out of joke party status and closer to the levels of the other opposition parties. He obviously gets the leadership post in the Chamber while that in the Senate goes to Estrella.
- The Libertarian Party and the Constitution Party, two tiny parties respectively for strong rightists who pretend they are liberals and for strong rightists who are open about it, gain in the Senate but mostly keep being tiny and irrelevant. Finally, non-inscrits make a come back in Parliament with Skill and Chance.

EDIT - Post-election:
The Senate majority remains Democratic/Socialist because Nathan is the most respected politician in the nation and the alternative would be numerically too thin.
The Chamber majority shifts again from a Democratic/Socialist coalition to a Democratic/Independent coalition, after discovolante gets burnt by her party's losses.
