Gov. Charlie Baker (R-MA) still leading big league. Most unpopular is Gina Raimondo (D-RI), followed Matt Bevin (R-KY).

For some reason, the link in the Tweet still leads to Q2.

Insane that so many Democrats in my home state of Massachusetts love Charlie Baker. I get that he's moderate, or at least pretends to be, but you'd think that in this polarized age of Trump, he'd have at most 40% approval among Democrats. Instead it's 70% at least. Crazy.

Yup, it's stunning just as Hogan's lasting popularity. Steve Bullock also has decent approvals regarding the fact he's governing a deep red state.

Definitely inflated, but this probably suggests that Democrats are slightly more likely to tolerate a moderate/pragmatic/charismatic governor from the other party than Republicans, whereas Republican states are far more likely to elect a Senator from the other party than Democratic states. I’d rather it was the other way around, mostly because Senate seats are way more valuable than governorships, especially those in states like MA, VT, and MD.

Some interesting tidbits:

1. All of the top 14 most popular governors are republicans.

2. I'm surprised how unpopular Ned Lamot is already

3. Rainmondo and Bevin are far and away the least popular but I don't see either losing anytime soon due to the Partisanship of their states

CT remains a fiscal disaster. It is like a dem kansas.

Only reason dems won the mansion in 2018 is because of national environment.

Baker is a figurehead. MA has a Democratic super-majority, which, united, can do whatever it likes. There's your answer.

I'm curious how popular Charlie Baker would be if he was president. I think he'd be fantastic.

LOL. He has no real power. If he was pushing right wing policies and judges as President with any sort of Republican majority, half of the country would immediately hate him.

President Phil would be godly. As I've attempted various times in election games here.
