Pretty obvious what's going to happen with the runoff, so let's hear your Tarring and feathering  of the Edwards campaign/tenure.

Nothing.

He signed a uber conservative abortion bill mere months ago.

If that couldn't save him, nothing will.

If Edwards were a Republican, he would have won the runoff outright with well over 60% of the vote.

Eh, he might just be disappointed. I get that, but it's why Democrats need to set their expectations low, especially in races in Republican-friendly states.

That’s true, I should cut him some slack. Maybe he’ll see the light and come to join us in our enlightened misery of knowing how KY-Gov is going to play out after this ugly night. You’re always welcome, Politician!

This is almost as bad as your NC-09 thread. A Democrat is the favorite to win a statewide election in Louisiana, yet Atlas is consistently taking a glass half empty approach here.

The favourite ? You’re very optimistic for JBE. Maybe you can argue that he is a (very) slight favourite, but the race is clearly toss-up until proven otherwise.

And uh, look what happened with NC-09. Trump went, done his rally over Lumbee-land...and uh, that did it for Bishop, oh and McCready did even worse than the last time.

Not really helping your case huh?

Kathleen Blanco signed strict abortion bills and many Dem state legislators voted for it. Most of them STILL lost anyway along with the LA Dems being whiped out at the Federal level too.

Abortion never had anything to do with it. Elections are, and always will be, about identity

In Fayetteville.

Bishop's sponsorship of a bill that funneled money to the tribe is what did it for Bishop.

oh and McCready did even worse than the last time.
Against a worse opponent — Harris was some dumbass pastor from Charlotte who had no idea how to win, Bishop's an experienced politician who knows exactly who he had to bribe.

For christ's sake, you people flood every thread on what used to be a decent forum with the same shit. We can all read the 2016 results. At least try to be accurate in whatever else you add.

I mean, the runoff is a tossup. But unlike Kentucky, this will be competitive.

I meant Wulfric's thread after NC-09 where he said the House would flip in 2020 as a result, when the result neither then or now is actually bad for Democrats.

He could have sent surrogates to New Orleans to drive up turnout, while he himself continued his standard campaign.

Wouldn't be surprised if that depressed the liberal democratic vote a bit... sort of like the Kavanaugh-Bredesen debacle.

I doubt Bredesen would’ve done better though even if he had came out against him. Probably slightly worse
