I don't think this debate will have any meaningful impact on the final result, though Loeffler was just terrible, and she missed an opportunity to try to be charismatic and appeal to Trumpists and regular GOP voters, instead, she really appealed to no one except maybe Siri and Alexa. In the sense this debate doesn't Loeffler and can't really hurt Warnock, I would say Warnock won, but electorally, probably close to a net wash in this polarized day and age.

Warnock wasn't great but Loeffler was insufferable.

I don't think there really was a winner, but Loeffler didn't help herself any by being so stilted and rehearsed.

This just about sums it up:

This reminds me of when now ex-Senator Martha McSally repeatedly said "Counterfeit Kelly" in the debate between her and Mark Kelly, and acted in a robotic manner very similar to that of Loeffler. Unfortunately, unlike McSally, Loeffler is probably going to win in a month's time, although it will be a close victory.

I think “Radical Liberal” Raphael Warnock won just because Loeffler literally said the same things over and over again. Her answers to all questions were “I support the Georgian people, Warnock is a radical socialist who will destroy the country”

Objectively, Loeffler is just a *very bad* candidate. She's just truly awful. It's like a terrible robot or something.

This just about sums it up:

It’s funny the similarities between the 2.

-Both have shaped up to be terribly weak candidates who shoot themselves in the foot over and over again, despite at one point being considered potential rising stars
-Both are running in special elections
-Both are appointed
-Both are running in states Biden narrowly won by less than half a point

The big unknown that makes this very different from AZ-Sen is that Biden has already won but this race will be in a runoff. It’s unclear who is going to turn out for the runoff, and who will sit it out.

My thought exactly.

You could have made a drinking game for whenever she said "Radical Liberal Raphael Warnock."

Even SN and Woodbury would say Radical Liberal Raphael Warnock won.

Warnock won. He didn't even do that well, he had a few good lines but a lot missed opportunities, it's just that Loeffler put up the single most wooden debate performance I've seen in the past few years.

Radical Liberal Raphael Warnock (TM), by a mile. Low Energy Loeffler gave perhaps the most wooden debate performance of all time.

If you won't say that Biden won the election, you are unfit for service in the US Senate, period.

Loeffler is truly awful both as a candidate and as a human being.

Warnock probably isn't the best politician to challenge her (I don't think the Dems expected this to be a very competitive race) but in 2022, maybe she can be taken down by KLB or some other blue-chip talent.  If Ossoff and Warnock switched races, I feel confident Ossoff would be heavily favored to defeat her.
