Little movement as usual. Steyer now has 8% in early states. Other polls don't have him doing as well, but he did easily qualify for the 5th debate off early state polls.

Gotta admit, for as many examples as there are of money NOT buying votes, I don't see what else can explain Steyer's rise. Esp. with how early-state centric it is.

It cuts both ways though. If money is all that mattered he'd be a top tier contender, which he clearly is not.

If it wasn't for Jeb's money he probably would've gotten 1% in NH/SC rather than ~10%, but ultimately that didn't do him much good, lol. You can sell a product nobody wants to a certain extent with mountains of cash, but it can only take you so far.

Well yes it's of course foolish to think money is all that matters, but if the difference between Tom Steyer and Joe Biden or Elizabeth Warren or Bernie Sanders is a mile, the difference between Tom Steyer and you or I is a thousand miles. Money is still what filters out 99.9% of people from public office. In Steyer's case, it may buy him a podium at a DNC debate, which is gold to anyone with an opinion.
