Public School Reform Act

A bill to set common standards for public schools, on what to learn and what to offer.

SECTION I: DETERMINING A SCHOOL WEEK
1. A school week lasts 36 hours a week (8 hours a day, from 8am to 12am and from 1pm to 5pm, wednesday afternoon free)
2. Schools in Lincoln should be open from 7am to 6pm, providing lunch and study time, except for wednesday afternoon

SECTION II: DETERMINING SUBJECTS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS
1. Mandatory offer pocket for all study directions (24 hours)
a. 4 hours of English
b. 3 hours of maths
c. 3 hours of natural sciences (chemistry, biology, physics)
d. 3 hours of social sciences (psychology, mental health, politics, economy, philosophy, finances, morality, media)
e. 2 hours of Spanish
f. 2 hours of history
g. 2 hours of physical education
h. 2 hours of world religion (catholocism, understanding other religions)
i. 1 hour of geography
j. 1 hour of musical education
k. 1 hour of art class
l. 1 hour of teambuilding (class building, social understanding, social lessons)
2. Depending on what study directions a school offers, the rest of the program shall be filled in by schools.

SECTION III: STUDY DIRECTIONS IN SCHOOL
1. A public school can decide what packages they offer on their school
2. A student should choose two additional packages: each containing 6 hours
3. These packages shall be available to them, but schools have the choice to offer them or not
a. Human sciences
b. Maths
c. Languages
d. Technology
e. Mechanics
f. Electronics
g. Economics
h. Care sector
i. Natural sciences
j. Building sector

SECTION IV: MANDATORY SUBJECT PACKAGES FOR SCHOOLS
1. Each student should learn
a. 8 hours a year about traffic education
b. 8 hours a year about sexual education
c. 4 hours a year about mental health
d. 4 hours a year about first aid by accidents

SECTION V: IMPLEMENTATION
1. This bill shall take effect during the new school year of 2020-2021

Can someone pull up our previous work on the last council of Lincoln on the matter of education? Itwould be best to compare and contrast this bill with the previous one.

If Ninja doesn't vote on this bill he'll be automatically recalled for missing 6 consecutive votes once the vote closes in about 36 hours. However, due to the proximity of the general election, there isn't time for a by-election to fill the vacancy.

Yeah and he just resigned too.
