but clearly more floridians *intended* to vote for gore than bush.

I actually tend to agree with this.

Of course, intentions really don't count for much.

So there is nothing wrong with the state executing an innocent person? After all, the person is legally guilty, even though the justice system is not intended to work that way.

The difference between lawyers and the rest of us is that the people of America think they rule the country, while the lawyers think they rule the country.
