gore should've, and would've won, had it not been for some faulty ballot papers, which is obviously neither the republicans' or the democrats' or anyone's fault except for the people who made the butterfly ballot papers who should have forseen this sort of problem arising.

I think the best way to summarize the 2000 election has already been stated, that being that Bush won, but more floridians INTENDED to vote for Gore.
