The counties in SD, MT, and ID aren't perfect because the boundaries used to be very different.

Didn't Perot tie Morris County, Kansas, with H.W. Bush in 1992? I think you missed that on your map.

Only seven states, Arizona, Alaska, Hawaii, Connecticut, New York, New Hampshire, and Delaware have failed to give at least one third party candidate at least one county since 1912. Interesting. And 2 of them have not even been states for this entire equation

Note: I forgot Rhode Island. So 8

Good work, but I personally question whether TR in 1912 should count.  In reality, there were two Republican candidates that year, as there were two Democratic candidates in 1960.  It doesn't make sense for such places as Riley County, KS, get their "perfect records" of voting Republican ruined because they supported Teddy in 1912 (he even came in second place nationwide).

Anyway, my nitpick is not take away from the excellent work you did on the map.

Correct, but it also voted for TR in 1912 or maybe La Follette in 1924.  Boyd County, Nebraska tied in 1912 but voted for La Follette in 1924.  Holt County, Nebraska, which tied for La Follette in 1924, has  never seen a third party candidate do better than a tie.

I actually changed the map to include part of Alaska (though the Alaska map isn't perfect because Atlas uses Congressional districts instead of boroughs.

Thank you very much!  And yeah, I understand exactly what you're saying.

I see now. Well at any rate, this is a good map.
