In answer to the titular question: "No."
In answer to the opinion poll: "HP"

Posts something about demographic trends in answer to when Rhode Island's second congressional district will lean R, and by how much.

[Insert an interesting - if a little repetitive - speech to a half-empty Federalist town hall in a small New England town, doubling as a nostalgic window to an era when American conservatives were capable of making an intelligent point instead of whatever the hell they are doing now.]

Re: Cube Root Rule - Mississippi

Here's a map of Mississippi I made for the scenario if it were under the Cube Root Rule, where it would have seven districts (Link: https://davesredistricting.org/join/76e8844a-2ba7-4e93-94c8-9c69427e3eb6).

I took into account all of the following demographic characteristics while making this map in order to make it the most balanced one so far:

  • Race and Ethnicity
  • Educational Attainment
  • Partisanship
  • Elasticity
  • Median income
  • Average Voter Turnout
  • Rate of Population Change
  • Ancestry
  • Life Expectancy
  • Violent Crime
  • Property Crime
  • Church Attendance
  • Religious Affiliation
  • Poverty Rate
  • Unemployment Rates
  • Union Membership
  • Electric Vehicles per capita

It was created in Dave's Redistricting App 2020

Something like:

Quote from: beesley etc.

Some trash

Good graphic.

It's interesting that there isn't total uniformity between the places showing the biggest growth or loss. I'm no expert, but I did not expect North Lincolnshire to have such a reasonable rate of growth. To an untrained eye, I expected the shifts caused by the decline in local industries to manifest themselves, but maybe new housing in the areas outside of Sc**nthorpe would outweigh that? If you look at similar areas like Neath Port Talbot and Redcar and Cleveland, the rate of loss is far less than it could've been, which is really telling about the new UK economy. But I don't know anything about this topic.

Written language is fundamentally a degenerate construct of civilization that alienates us from the physicality of experience in the wild and all-encompassing love of Mother Earth, and this Barkley post proves it.

As someone who hasn't bought the lies of authoritarian individualism, I can understand that the Talk Elections Forum is just a place for people to feel good about their insecurities and sad lives.

[beesley]

I am not really an ideological person, but I have come around to more left-wing positions because of the current realities of the UK. I also really hate that immoral, bigoted, sleazy, malicious, corrupt, deceitful, nasty, [...] liar of Boris Johnson.
