Marco Rubio's campaign schedule, Part 1

(Own creation)

August 1, 2023
-Campaign in Miami, Florida
-Build campaign infrastructure in Florida
-Economic policy speech at PortMiami in Miami, Florida where Rubio underlines his experience to show he has the best knowledge and plan to grow the economy. The Vice-President takes on the occasion to unveil his economic platform :

Source : https://time.com/3820475/transcript-read-full-text-of-sen-marco-rubios-campaign-launch/

Among the candidates running in this presidential race, I have the best knowledge of economic issues and am the best skilled to handle the economic challenges facing our nation. In the U.S. Senate, I cosponsored the AGREE Act that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital and gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. Ten years ago, I cosponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act, which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. In 2017, in an effort to make the Trump tax cuts successful and permanent, I fought to double the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000 and so that's what President Trump did, which strengthened our economy and increased American consumers' purchasing power. And I served as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and I'm now serving as President Trump's Vice-President during a time of prosperity that has been made possible thanks to tax cuts, promotion of free enterprise and America's advantage of all of its sources of energy. So I know what it takes to get and keep small businesses working to hire people and what it takes to create jobs and get this country to full-employment.

Here's my economic platform : as President, I will cut taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, and for all businesses, including small businesses, so our economy can keep growing and creating jobs by making America the best place in the world to do business. We need to reduce government spending in order to bring our deficit under control and we'll adopt a balanced budget amendment. Our plan will make America energy independence by taking advantage of oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar and hydroelectricity and by promoting offshore drilling in ANWR and the construction of a pipeline from Alaska to Texas through Canada. We will use a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies, so we can favor both economic growth and a clean environment. We need to be the most competitive nation in the world economy and to counter China's trade power that has been increased through China's economic cheating. So under my presidential leadership, we will champion free trade by ratifying free trade deals with our allies, including TPP and TTIP, and sign free trade agreements with India and Latin America. We represent 5 % of the world market so we need to trade with the remaining 95 % of the global economy. And in order to keep our jobs here in America while promoting free trade, I will reduce taxes and regulations on businesses, including manufacturing businesses, which will make it easier for manufacturing businesses to do business in America. In that same process, we will reduce the corporate tax rate from 21 % to 15 %. The reason we were losing jobs due to free trade before 2017 was because we had the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world at that time while Singapore now has a 2 % unemployment rate and benefits from free trade because they have the lowest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world, which was 17 %. So if we reduce our corporate tax rate to 15 %, we'll make free trade deals more favorable for American workers and keep our jobs here at home while pursuing our quest for open markets. On infrastructure, we're going to reduce the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; veto any gas-tax increase; turn back control of the highways to the states; stop special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; free states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; remove barriers to public-private partnerships; repeal the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. We will use a part of future budget surpluses into the development of infrastructures, which will favor the implementation of new businesses in America, thus favoring further job creation and prosperity.

So I'm asking for your vote in order for us to stand together for opportunity because thanks to my proven leadership and experience we will make sure that America will get to permanent economic prosperity and to full employment, that our children and grandchildren will be the most prosperous generations of Americans that ever lived and that America will keep and strengthen its status as the land of opportunity.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Source : https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2015/apr/29/marco-rubio/rubio-says-he-more-experienced-and-qualified-obama/

Agriculture is Iowa's main economic activity. Thanks to the Trump tax cuts and to the promotion of free enterprise and small government, all America, including Iowa, is living times of prosperity. But of course, we need to do more in order to get this country to full employment. So here is my agriculture plan.

What we have to do to boost America's agriculture is to cut taxes on businesses, including tractor, seed and agriculture companies, in order to help them to innovate and to manufacture more tractors, seeds and agricultural products, to create jobs, to improve agricultural technologies, thus helping Iowans and Americans to accomplish their agricultural activities and ensure their subsistence.

Energy independence will also boost tractor manufacturing as well as the effectiveness of new agricultural technologies. My plan will further reduce Iowans' and Americans' dependence on food stamps through reduction of inflation and food prices, which will reinforce their purchasing power and give them more access to food as well as better living conditions.

-Anti-abortion policy speech in front of the Central Baptist Church in Sioux City, Iowa :
Abortion is never good. Everybody, whether or not they are yet eligible to vote, has the right to live. If we tolerate abortion, future generations are likely to look back at this history of our country and call us barbarians for murdering millions of babies who we never gave them a chance to live.

This is not only a social issue, it's also an economic issue. One of the main reasons why the Glorious Thirty (1945-1972) were so prosperous was the great number of young baby boomers who were available to find a job and work. Today, it's exactly the opposite : many baby boomers are going to retirement, which hurts our workforce and slows our GDP and our economy. So if we want longer term economic growth and prosperity, we need to fight abortion in order to let future generations live and make sure that our workforce will get stronger and stronger, making our economy growing again. That's what I'm going to do if I'm elected President of the United States.

Source : https://www.cfr.org/blog/us-presidential-race-marco-rubios-surprising-interest-india

Yesterday, Kim Jong-un has announced that North Korea will progressively open its economy to the rest of the world, reform its government and political life and strengthen its relations towards South Korea. These are great news for nuclear security, freedom and global peace. We all know that the summits between Ronald Reagan and Mikhael Gorbatchev and the ratification of the INF Treaty by them in 1987 gave the advantage to the U.S. in the Cold War (though the Russians violated it several times after the Cold War) through the shutdown of Soviet land-based ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and missile launchers, which eventually led the Soviet Union to political and economic reform as well as the reunification of West Germany and East Germany into one and unified Germany. So I am convinced that the efforts that if we pursue President Trump's successful efforts on North Korea, our Administration's successful efforts that I supported both as a Senator and as Vice-President of the United States, we will assist to the reunification of the two Koreas and that's exactly what I'm going to do as President of the United States through the promotion of strong diplomacy and strong American leadership.

Source : https://www.usnews.com/news/articles/2013/11/20/marco-rubio-targets-obama-rand-paul-in-foreign-policy-speech

Recently, the CIA reported that Rojava has been instigating Kurdish insurgencies in Iran, Iraq, and Turkey. That is partly caused by Assad's oppressive measures towards the Syrian Kurds. But I hope that the reform promised during the meeting between President Trump and Bachar el-Assad will include the Kurds and grant more power to all Syrians, including the Kurds. So, for the sake of freedom, security and stability in the Middle East, including in Syria, if I'm President, I will work hard to make sure that Syria will reform itself into a democratic country in nature in exchange of financial aid to rebuild Syria. Otherwise, instability will be permanent in Syria, which would create vaccuum for terrorism so we need to work hard to make sure all Syrians have access to the necessary houses, hospitals, groceries and democratic government. But as President Trump declared, one misstep by Assad and the cash is gone. So if I'm elected President, I will create a new Alliance for Progress aimed to establish economic cooperation between the U.S. and the Middle East to ensure the development of Middle East, to strengthen and expand democracy in this region, to eliminate adult illiteracy by 2040 and to ensure price stability to avoid inflation or deflation. That way, we can prevent radicalism and terrorism to rise again in the Middle East, thus maintaining and reinforcing peace and stability in this region, just like the Alliance for Progress initiated by President Kennedy was aimed at countering communism in Latin America because Middle East's stability and freedom are elements that are vital for global security and peace. That's why we're going to work with our allies to rebuild the Middle East for the sake of peace and stability under my presidency.

Marco Rubio's debate answers

Source : https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/marco-rubio-won-the-main-debate-but-carly-fiorina-won-both

Opening statement : Hi, my name is Marco Rubio and I'm proud to have helped President Trump to keep America great. I dedicated all my life to defend the American Dream and I'm proud to have done so as a State Representative, as a U.S. Senator and now as Vice-President of the United States. With President Trump, we created 6 million new jobs thanks to tax reform and free enterprise, we secured our borders and are now getting the world to nuclear security. But America is now facing new challenges and I intend to face these challenges successfully thanks to my experience and belief in free enterprise and in a strong national defense for the sake of America's strength and prosperity. So you can count on my leadership and judgement and I hope you'll find it out during this debate. Thank you.

Quote
General Question # 1 : For the last 8 years, the Republican Party has been in lockstep with President Donald Trump, despite all his controversies. Now however, there are those looking for a return to Bushian ideas, such as Senator Mitt Romney, those who want Trumpism to be the future of the GOP, such as Senator Tom Cotton, and those who want the GOP to become more Liberal, such as Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker. Of these three camps, which do you think will be the best one for the Republican Party to go down?

Answer : Well Chris, honestly this is a false choice. And I agree with Governor Noem. We need to represent all 3 branches of the Republican Party, no matter our differences, if we want to keep the White House into Republican hands in November 2024. We can disagree on some issues and still be a good Republican. Because we have much more similarities than differences in this party and the consequences would be too great for this country if we divide each other which would hand a Democratic victory and bring this country into a big mess through higher taxes, gun control and weak foreign policy. If you believe in the Second Amendment, if you believe in small government and tax reform, if you believe in equal treatment and if you believe in a strong national security and national defense to keep America safe and defeat terrorism then you are a Republican. These are all views that are shared by all those 3 branches of our party as well as by Senator Romney, Senator Cotton and Governor Baker. These are all views defended by President Trump in the last 8 years, which kept us together. We can't fight among ourselves. We need to work together to move America forward, to get things done for the sake of our prosperity and security. United we stand, divided we fall.

Quote
General Question # 2 : The recent hearings of Justice George C. Hanks that happened in June saw him get the same accusations that was lobbied against Justice Kavanaugh 5 years ago. Senator Romney was the only Republican Senator to vote against him due to these allegations. How do you feel about these allegations against Hanks and how would you make sure such a thing doesn’t happen again?

Answer : I'm very disappointed with the Democrats' attitude to deliver unfounded accusations on Justice Hanks. This is obviously the most embarrassing scandal for the United States Senate since the McCarthy hearings and the Kavanaugh hearings. It is shameful of the Democrats to accuse someone of sexual assault without any proof to back up the allegations as no one even saw Hanks and Alford meeting or talking to each other. I think our opponents saw it as an opportunity to try to keep this SCOTUS seat empty in order to prevent us for mobilizing our base ahead of the special election in UT-04 and in the gubernatorial elections in November to put themselves in good position for 2024 and bring us to a liberal SCOTUS. But if my Supreme Court nominee were to have allegations of sexual assault that are affirmative, clear and backed up then I would cancel his nomination and nominate another constitutional conservative of full integrity after having paid full attention to his or her background and record.

Quote
Rubio Question # 1 : Mr. Vice President, you have served as Trump’s right hand man since 2020 and you stated that you are “516 % behind the President. Yet in the past, especially in 2016, you were against President Trump quite a bit and was nowhere close to his nearest supporter. Because of this, many of Trump’s supporters have flocked to Governor DeSantis to spite you. How will you assure the President’s own supporters that you will do his agenda and you have completely changed from how you felt in 2016?

Answer : First of all, it was because I was a presidential contender along with Donald Trump in 2016. And actually, I was fully committed to support him as the Republican nominee because I knew he was the right candidate to defend our values such as free enterprise, secured borders and strong national security. Though some of his comments were outrageous and I condemned them, I knew he was more qualified to be Commander-in-Chief than Hillary Clinton who broke the law by using a private email server as Secretary of State and erased 30 000 emails and who has consistently lied to the families of the victims in Benghazi about the purposes of the terrorist attack there in 2012. So I voted for him not only once but twice and as Trump gained in experience and achievement, I became even more enthusiastic of him and I supported him on passing the largest tax cuts ever, on the trade war with China and that's why in the Senate I fought to delist foreign companies trading on US stock exchanges if they failed to comply with US regulations. I supported President Trump on his efforts to secure our borders and the construction of the wall and I was one of the only Republican senators, along with Rick Scott, who backed him on Mexico tariffs, which led to a successful migration deal with Mexico in 2019. And he had my backing on the abolition of Obama's nuclear deal with Iran and his successful efforts to denuclearize North Korea and to fight radical Islamic terrorism and I supported every of his SCOTUS nominees. So you can count on me, as President I will stand up to China, fight for lower taxes and strong borders and keep our military strong to keep America safe.

Quote
Rubio Question # 2 : Mr. Vice President, Under President Trump there has been a great number of achievements, such as the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran, the Democratization of Iran and Venezuela, and the building of the Border Wall to the South, which has stopped illegal immigration by 213 %, as determined by a recent study, but there also things to be skeptical of, such as the terrorist attack in San Francisco last year and the near invasion of Venezuela in 2020,  a move that surely would’ve cost Trump re-election. Do you, as Vice President, acknowledge that the President has done both good and bad for this country and how will you improve both?

Answer : Of course there are great achievements and I'm proud of these like the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran, which is getting us to nuclear security and stronger peace, the democratization of Venezuela to which I contributed by co-sponsoring the Let Freedom Reign Act, the elimination of ISIS in Iraq and Syria thanks to a strong U.S. military and strong alliances, the building of the Border Wall, which secured our borders and the passing of the largest tax cuts ever, which added 6 million jobs and brought unemployment rate to the lowest in 50 years. For the good this President has done, I will improve it by keeping our military strong and modernizing it and by strengthening and expanding our alliances so we can defeat Boko Haram and counter the threat represented by Russia and China. I will improve our economic progress by fighting for lower taxes and small government and reducing our corporate tax rate to 15 % and balancing the budget. However, there are some missteps on the free trade issue, for example, as our withdrawal from TPP allowed China to dictate regional rules of commerce and diplomacy through its own trade and investment initiatives. So as President I will ratify TPP to make us competetive in the Asia-Pacific region, thus counter-balancing China's trade power and ensuring job creation through lower tariffs, an increase of exports and imports and a reduction of the cost of trading, allowing our businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. I will also sign TTIP and negotiate deals with Latin America and India. Thanks to my experience, we will bring these improvements to move America forward for the sake of our prosperity, freedom and security.

Closing statement : Thank you FOX for moderating and I want to thank the University of South Carolina for hosting us. My parents were born in Cuba. They came to America because it was the only place where people like them could have a chance. Even though they lived paycheck to paycheck, the hardworking of a bartender and a housekeeper made them successful in adapting to this new society and in giving their children the chance to do all the things they never could, so that tonight I could stand before you as the first Hispanic Vice-President of the United States and as a candidate for the Presidency of the United States. Because it was their purpose to make the doors that were closed for them open for me and my siblings. And this is my purpose, as a public official, as Vice-President and as a presidential candidate, to make sure our children will be better off than ourselves and previous generations. That's why we need to bring America together for opportunity in order to get things done and move our country forward through the promotion of free market, strong military and defense of our God-given rights. That is what I did for all my life to defend and expand the American Dream and you can trust my experience and record to fight for you every single day of my Presidency to defend your purchasing power, freedom and security and to make sure America's greatness has no limits and that's why I ask for your vote. Thank you.

He also underlined Des Moines' business friendly reputation to promote the importance to make America the best place in the world to start a business by reducing the cost of doing business in America and cutting taxes and regulations on the American people and on business owners, which will bring a stronger purchasing power to our people and increase our businesses' ability to grow, to expand, to produce, to sell and to create jobs.

Under Governor Branstad, Iowa made strong progress. We expanded gun rights in that state, stood up for Iowa farmers, defended the life of the unborn and delivered the largest tax cuts in state history. And when I succeeded Branstad, Iowa made another progress with me becoming the first woman elected Governor of the great state of Iowa and I continued my predecessor's policies. In the last 6 years, I signed a bill into law requiring public universities to protect the fullest degree of intellectual freedom and free expression. Through my judicial appointments, I shifted the Iowa Supreme Court in a conservative direction, thus defending your gun rights and giving unborn children a chance to live and appreciate life. I supported President Trump's decision to sign the memorandum to pass the construction of the Dakota Access pipeline that facilated oil transportation and production and boosted job creation accross the country, including here in Iowa. I reduced government spending and cut Iowans' taxes. As a result, Iowa now has the 3rd lowest unemployment rate in all the nation, which is 2.5 %. Because we believe in small government, free enterprise and capitalism and so does Marco Rubio and that's why I'm proud to endorse his presidential campaign.

For all his life, Marco Rubio fought not only to defend the American Dream but also to expand it. In the Senate, he successfully fought to double the Child Tax Credit, which made the Trump tax cuts broader and effective. He chaired the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, thus making strong contributions in our nation's economic prosperity by defending the interests of small businesses. Vice-President Rubio knows what it takes to get businesses working and how to create jobs. As President, he will do so by reducing your taxes for the sake of a stronger purchasing power for you, by making America the best country in the world to do business through lower taxes on businesses and reduction of the cost of doing business in America, by taking advantage of all of America's sources of energies, by championing free trade for the sake of America's competitiveness in the world economy, by favoring school choice and by balancing the budget. He will also fight to defend your Second Amendment rights as well as freedom of religion. Marco Rubio is a principled constitutional conservative who understands that power belongs to the states — and to the people — not bureaucrats in Washington. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and now as Vice-President of the United States, he clearly has the right foreign policy experience to work with our allies, to defeat radical Islamic terrorism and to fight for democracy. He is the best-positioned candidate to both win the Republican nomination and defeat the Democratic nominee in November 2024. So Iowans, I ask you to join us in this campaign for America's future and vote for Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States of America. Thank you, God bless Iowa and God bless the United States of America.

Almost a year ago, Boko Haram committed a terrorist attack here in San Francisco, which killed 42 people and wounded 76 others. Fortunately, our courageous police officers did a great job in stopping the jihadists and killing these barbarians. Shortly after that, our Administration has made it clear that we will not surrender to terrorism and fight them wherever they are in order to protect our country and our freedom. That's what we did by leading airstrikes against Boko Haram in West Africa and by providing military training to our local allies.

However, several of my potential Democratic opponents, especially Senator Brown, has proven to be siding on the wrong side of national security issues as he has called to repeal the Patriot Act that has been effective in protecting our country and our freedom. The Patriot Act allowed intelligence agents to share with FBI criminal investigators evidence that an anonymous letter sent to the FBI had come from an individual with Al Qaeda. That letter began the investigation into an alleged terror cell in Lackawanna, New York, that has resulted in six guilty pleas. That same information-sharing authority was used against members of an alleged terror cell in Portland, Oregon, that an undercover informant said was preparing for possible attacks against Jewish schools or synagogues. Continued surveillance under the Patriot Act of one suspect led to six others, who likely would have scattered or fled if the first suspect had been arrested right away. Thanks to Patriot Act, terror financing provisions of the law were used in numerous cases, including charges against a member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia, or FARC, on charges of being an unlicensed money transmitter. The same authority has been used to prosecute people illegally sending money to Iraq, Yemen, the United Arab Emirates and India. Powers permitted under the Patriot Act have also been used in investigations involving potential school bomb attacks, computer hackers, child pornography, violent fugitives and illegal weapons sales. In one case, Patriot Act electronic communications authorities allowed law enforcement agencies to identify a person who had sent 200 threatening letters laced with white powder in Lafayette. Over 40 terror plots, if not more, that were planned to be committed against the United States were foiled since the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 thanks to domestic and international cooperation, as well as efforts to track down terror, including the Patriot Act.

No wonder that even after 9/11, Sherrod Brown voted against giving law enforcement the tools they need to help stop international terror just like he voted against the establishment of the Department of Homeland Security. He doesn't know what it takes to keep this country safe. We can't afford to lower our guards against radical Islamic terrorism. If I'm President, I will lead America to victory against Boko Haram by keeping our security measures strong, by pursuing airstrikes on Boko Haram in West Africa, by multiplying drone bases in that region, by working with our allies and by providing military training as well as intelligence and material support to our local allies' armed troops to help them combat Boko Haram. That's how we're going to win the War on Terror and keep America and the whole world safe and justice will be done for the victims of the attack in San Francisco.

Thank you, God bless you. God bless San Francisco and God bless America.

Hi. It's great to be back at the Reagan Library. I remember having saved Nancy Reagan from fall right here, 12 years ago. Just like his 1980 campaign slogan demonstrated, it has always been the purpose of Ronald Reagan to protect America's greatness, especially after a time of recession, oil crisis, hostage taking of U.S. ambassadors in Iran and Cold War. So as President, he cut taxes which created 16 million jobs and reduced our unemployment rate by 2 %. Ronald Reagan rebuilt our military and launched, exactly 40 years ago, the Strategic Defense Initiative to protect the United States from attack by ballistic strategic nuclear weapons, which helped us to take the advantage over the Soviet Union and led us to victory in the Cold War. Today again, we are better off than we were 8 years ago thanks to the creation of 6 million jobs due to the Trump tax cuts and snall government, giving us the lowest unemployment rate in 5 decades. By rebuilding and strengthening our military after 8 years of cuts in defense, we defeated ISIS in Syria and Iraq and as California and the West Coast as well as Hawaii were in the frontline of the North Korean nuclear threat, President Trump successfully negotiated with Pyongyang, which led to the denuclearization of North Korea and now to the opening of their economy to the rest of the world and will lead to political reform in this country. And thanks to the creation of the U.S. Space Force, we are now able to protect our satellites against Russian and Chinese anti-satellite weaponry and and this new force is now guiding our troops in counter-terrorism operations.

To make sure we will be better still in the next 4 years, as President I will cut taxes for all Americans, promote free trade, get us to energy independence and invest a part of oil revenues to the development of renewable energies, pursue our fight against Boko Haram and work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty to make sure North Korea and Iran will respect their engagements and get the world to permanent nuclear security.

I need your support and your vote and that way we will keep moving America forward.

He pledges to lead America and its allies to victory in the War on Terror as President by keeping our military strong and modernizing it through the enter in service of the Northrop Grumman B-21 Raider, the deep strike missile system, U.S. Space Force weapons systems and the Columbia-class submarine program, by strengthening and expanding our alliances and by building drone bases in West Africa to fight Boko Haram and to provide military training as well as material and intelligence support for African countries' armed forces to help them combat jihadism.

She also underlined her record as US Ambassador to the UN in which she the US withdrew from UNESCO due to anti-Israel bias, abolished the Iran nuclear deal to stop state-sponsored terrorism, successfully stood up to North Korea's nuclear threat through a strong military, strong diplomacy and effetive sanctions, which is getting the world to an un-nuclear North Korea. She praised Rubio's experience as Senator, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and as Vice-President of the United States, a background that makes him, as she declared, the most qualified to lead this country and bring it to full employment and permanent prosperity and to lead America to total victory against terrorism and to nuclear security.

Marco Rubio's First TV Ad

Title : Experience and Leadership

Airing : Nationwide (in all the 50 states as well as in all U.S. territories, including Puerto Rico)

Experience and Leadership advertising narration :

Source : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nK60C4BqLo
All my life, I fought to protect and expand the American Dream to ensure that our children and grandchildren can earn all the opportunities that previous generations couldn't have earned for themselves just like my parents did when they came from Cuba to America thanks to the hard work of a bartender and a housekeeper.

I was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2000 and then Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives in 2006 and I published a book titled 100 Innovative Ideas for Florida's Future. And 24 of these ideas became law and another 10 were partially enacted. Among the items from the book that became law were multiple-year car registrations, a requirement that high schools provide more vocational courses, and an expanded voucher-like school-choice program.

After that, I've been in the U.S. Senate for 10 years when I co-sponsored and passed the AGREE Act, the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act, the 2014 VA reform bill to ensure better social services for our veterans, these sanctions on Hezbollah, my amendment to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000 to make the Trump tax cuts permanent and the Let Freedom Reign Act to liberate Venezuela from opression and ensure its transition towards democracy by arming the Venezuelan insurgency. During that time, I chaired the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, making strong contributions to America's economic prosperity by defending the interests of American small businesses by passing all the policies favorable for businesses in this country and by standing up to China's economic cheating.

In 2020, President Trump has chosen me to help him keep America great and I became Vice-President of the United States. And together, we made strong progress for America : 6 million new jobs created, lowest unemployment rate in  over 50 years, borders secured thanks to the completion of the building of the Border Wall, ISIS is eliminated in Iraq and Syria and denuclearization of North Korea and Iran.

Now I'm running for President to pursue America's progress. My experience and leadership has prepared me to lead this country to more progress.

As President, I will cut taxes and regulations for all Americans and businesses to make America the best place in the world to do business, get us to energy independence by taking advantage of our sources of energy, reduce government spending, balance the budget and champion free trade to make us competitive in the world economy and preserve America's status as the first trade power in the world through lower tariffs and reduction of our corporate tax rate to 15 % and tax cuts for our manufacturing businesses to keep manufacturing jobs here in America.

Source : https://iea.org.uk/the-importance-of-free-trade-and-how-to-derive-its-full-benefits/

Now that our borders are secured and that illegal immigration is brought under control, we can now reform our immigration system in order to make the American Dream possible for all, to allow immigrants here in this country to earn U.S. citizenship and higher education and to strengthen America's status as inclusive nation and as the land of opportunity. I will nominate conservative judges to defend our God-given rights and the Constitution. Thanks to the progress made in the last six years in terms of space exploration, we're going to launch a crewed mission to Mars by 2030.

I will strengthen and moernidze our military and expand our alliances in order to keep America safe and defeat radical Islamic terrorism and counter the threat represented by Putin's Russia. Thanks to the continuation of strong American leadership, I will also work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to get the world to permanent nuclear security and to strengthen global peace.

Source : https://www.iaea.org/newscenter/news/strengthening-nuclear-security

Among the presidential candidates running in this primary race, I am the most tested, experienced and prepared to accomplish these goals, to lead America and I will bring both sides of the aisle and all the American people together to get things done to get America to full-employment, permanent security and freedom and to ensure there won't be any limits to America's greatness. And I ask for your vote.

Rubio campaign's surrogate schedule

In an effort to make sure that Rubio will clearly overwhelm Ron DeSantis in the Florida polls very largely, Eric Beach, the Chair of the Great America PAC, campaigns for Vice-President Marco Rubio all across Florida, including in Miami, Naples, Palm Beach, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Orlando, Sanford, Jacksonville, Tallahassee, in the Florida Panhandle etc., praising the Vice-President as loyal to Trump and a great American who supported Trump on the most important issues facing America, including immigration, trade, foreign policy, the opioid crisis and tax reform. He explains that he endorses Rubio because he has the experience and determination to keep America great and even further expand its greatness by modernizing the U.S. military to defeat radical Islamic terrorism, by standing up to China's economic cheating, by fighting for free enterprise, tax reform and small government, by fighting for strong borders to keep America safe, leading America to energy independence, by keeping America's dominance in space exploration and by balancing the budget.

Nikki Haley campaigns for Marco Rubio in South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Georgia and Delaware where she praised Rubio's experience and record, especially his sponsorship of the 2014 VA reform law that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats (in an effort to win among military veteran voters in South Carolina and Virginia). She also underlined Rubio's experience as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, describing it as fittable for South Carolina's status as a right-to-work state and with the importance of making America the best place in the world to do business, which is an important pillar of Rubio's agenda, to get the country to full employment. She also campaigned to attract the African-American vote (that could be crucial in the South Carolina primary) for Rubio by reminding that under the Trump Administration, which Rubio is part of, the unemployment rate among African-Americans is brought at its lowest rate ever in history thanks to the Trump tax cuts, which Rubio supported and made broader thanks to a double of the Child Tax Credit. She also described the Vice-President as a champion of conservative values such as the Second Amendment, the protection of the life of the unborn, tax reform, etc.

Kim Reynolds campaigns for Rubio in key battleground areas in Iowa such as Des Moines,  Sioux City, Davenport, Dubuque, Cedar Rapids and Ames on tax reform, agriculture, trade, manufacturing, energy, abortion and gun rights.

Marco Rubio's campaign schedule, Part 1

(Own creation)

September 1-3, 2023
-Vice-presidential duties in Washington D.C.

September 4, 2023
-Flight to Manchester, New Hampshire
-Campaign in Manchester, New Hampshire
-Drug policy speech in Manchester, New Hampshire where Rubio reminds undecided voters of his fight against the Opioid Crisis that hit New England mostly, including New Hampshire and unveils his War on Drugs agenda in an effort to boost his campaign in New Hampshire :

Source : https://talkingpointsmemo.com/livewire/rubio-new-hampshire-primary

As you know, New Hampshire is one of the states that the Opioid Crisis hit the most along with its New England neighbors as well as an important part of the West, causing 39.0 per 100 000 drug overdose deaths overall (nationally) in 2016 here in the Granite State. It was obvious that something had to be done about it. And I am proud to have successfully co-sponsored the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl. And in 2018, I championned provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments though the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail.

Here's my plan to combat the Opioid Crisis as President of the United States : Number one, reducing demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse. Number two, cutting down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities. And number three, helping those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services.

That's why I asko you to join me in this fight, because our security, the American people's health and our children's future depends on it because our children's future is worth fighting for.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Of course it is a worry to possibly risk of losing allies after Trump's comments. But we have to understand that Pakistan harbored Osama Bin Laden, the author of the worst terrorist attack ever perpetrated on America, which is why he has been able to hide for 10 years. The moreover that they arrested Shakil Afridi while he assisted U.S. efforts to locate Osama Bin Laden and kill him. And we can't afford to deny the fact that Turkey has committed genocide against Armenians because we need to stand on the right side of history and fight for the freedom of all of the peoples on Earth. And denying the Armenian genocide is like Holocaust denial, which is the act of denying that the Third Reich committed genocide against the Jews in the Holocaust during World War II. And even though ISIS represented a clear and present danger in the Middle East, Turkey led airstrikes against the Kurds despite their important role in helping us to defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq as we provided weapons and military training to the Kurds. The ennemy was ISIS, not the Kurds. Time after time after time, Saudi Arabia has violated human rights and restricts women rights and imprisoned people for speaking out, the same for Erdogan's Turkey.

But even though Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan might be turning towards Russia, we can still counter any attempt by Russia to expand its influence in the Middle East by adding new alliances that are key to stability, security and peace in this region. Iran is respecting its process to denuclearize itself, we had Iraq on our side for 20 years so we can clearly count on them and we've got India that is none other than the 4th military power in the world after the United States, Russia and China, which will definitely give us a clear advantage against any Russian incursion and agression in the Middle East and to keep this region safe against terrorism.

So if I'm the next President of the United States, we're going to work with our regional allies to create an intergovernmental military alliance that I call the Southern and Western Asia Defense Alliance (SWADA). That way, thanks to the collaboration of our allies, including Israel, Syria, India, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan and the Gulf Kingdoms, we're going to maintain stability and peace in the Middle East, support our allies and combat any threat to this region's security which is crucial to global peace and to America's security. We will not abandon our allies. Only together, we can give peace a chance.

Vice-President Rubio responds to Governor Noem in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Recently, Governor Noem has asked me to commit to avoiding actions that would harm farmers here in Iowa and across America. Well Governor of course I can assure you that I commit to do whatever it takes to protect the interests of our farmers and that's exactly why I have called for agricultural subsidies to keep America's agriculture industry strong, competitive and productive and to help farmers and agricultural communities to recover from the effects of the trade war with China and that's what I'm going to do as President of the United States. And that is also why I pledged to cut taxes and regulations on agricultural companies, farm businesses, on tractor companies and seed companies to reinforce their ability to innovate, to produce and to manufacture, which will not only create jobs but also give our consumers more access to food and to clothing, thus improving their living conditions and give farmers a decent chance to prosper.

Ted Cruz pretends to be the most conservative candidate in this race. Yet, his record tells a different story. In effect, Senator Cruz supported John Roberts' nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States while Roberts has twice approved Obamacare, which complicated the American people's access to health care and increased regulations on small businesses. Though he threatened to filibuster any bill that strengthens federal background checks on guns on the Senate Floor, in a Fox News Sunday interview he expressed a desire to improve the quality of the federal database by tightening loopholes surrounding localities not reporting mental health problems and criminal convictions. In 2015, Senator Cruz first voted in favor of granting Fast Track Authority in order to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership and shortly after that he flipped his stance on this issue and opposed it. And he seeks to impose a value added tax like they have in Canada and European socialist countries, which will be harmful to new and marginal business activities, make America a harder place to do business and plummet consumerism by taxing it, thus hurting consumers' purchasing power and decrease businesses' competitiveness and their ability to produce, to sell and to create jobs. Meanwhile, I have fought Obamacare from the very, very beginning until President Trump repealed and replaced it through Trumpcare that strengthened the American people's access to health care by stopping bailing out pharmaceutical companies with taxpayers' money. Meanwhile, I am unapologetic and unconditional defender of the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense through the possession of a fireweapon. I will champion free trade for the sake of America's competitiveness and American businesses' competitiveness in the world economy through lower tariffs. Unlike Senator Cruz, I oppose a VAT just like I opposed any tax increase and I fought for tax reform for all my life, including when I successfully introduced an amendment to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, making the Trump tax cuts broader and permanent and I will keep fighting for lower taxes in order to further reinforce the American people's purchasing power and strengthen America's status as the best place in the world to do business, which will get us to full-employment. So my fellow Americans, if you want a true conservative to lead this party, then I am your man.

Thanks to President Trump's leadership, we have secured our borders, defeated ISIS in Syria and Iraq thanks to a strong US military and strong alliances, strengthened space security through the creation of the U.S. Space Force and got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran. So we need to pursue that kind of leadership if we want to get America and the whole world to permanent security and peace and that requires strong leadership and great experience. Marco Rubio has the right experience to do so and that's why I endorse him.

As a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, he knows perfectly what it takes to keep America safe. He will do so by keeping our military strong and modernizing it, by staying on offense against terrorism, including Boko Haram, by standing for strong borders, by standing up to the geopolitical threat represented by Russia and by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to ensure the definite denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and secure our path to global nuclear security. My friends, a vote for Marco Rubio is a vote for a secure, strong, safe and peaceful America and that's why I ask you to join us to make Marco Rubio the next President of the United States of America.

Vice-President Rubio's Interview with CNN's Dana Bash

Source(s) : https://puzzups.com/john-king-dating-second-wife-dana-bash-divorce-career-details/; https://miami.cbslocal.com/video/program/722/4152438-facing-south-florida-interview-with-us-senator-marco-rubio/
Bash : Today, we have Vice-President and frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination Marco Rubio as our guest. Mr. Vice-President, thank you for joining us.

Rubio : Thank you, Dana. It's a great honor.

Bash : Mr. Vice-President, recently you have said that the Democrats were trying to derail George Hanks' SCOTUS nomination in order to prevent your party from mobilizing their base ahead of the special election in Utah's 4th congressional district and in November's gubernatorial elections. What did you mean by that?

Rubio : Well, Dana, one of the main reasons we have won so many senate seats in the 2018 midterms is because we have managed to confirm Brett Kavanaugh's nomination at the Supre Court before the midterm elections so it mobilized our base and increase our party voters' turnout in conservative red states like Tennessee, Indiana, Missouri and North Dakota and so we have won these senate seats and increased our senate majority. And Rick Scott won so narrowly this year's senate race in Florida mostly because of the Panhandle and most voters there are conservative. This race was so close that I think that Scott may not have won had Kavanaugh's confirmation not passed the Senate. And now the Democrats are doing exactly their same mistake of 2018 by launching unfounded accusations on Justice Hanks with nothing to back up these allegations. They knew what went down in the 2018 midterms so they were trying to prevent that effect from repeating. We have a decent chance to win next November's elections and now that the Senate approved Justice Hanks' nomination I hope this will mobilize our party's base in Utah's 4th congressional district as well as in red states like Kentucky, Louisiana and Mississippi, which should help us to win in all these states which should put our party in good position for the 2024 presidential election.

Bash : In the first Republican debate, your primary rival Ron DeSantis has said that a Governor is more prepared to be President of the United States than any other executive branch member. What do you think of it?

Rubio : Look, I respect Ron DeSantis but what you just mentionned is something I disagree with him. The office of Vice-President of the United States actually prepares you more to be President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief because the Vice-President not only has executive experience but he is also the 2nd highest in executive branch after the President of the United States and is first in line in U.S. presidential line of succession. The Vice-President is the top assistant to the Commander-in-Chief so I know perfectly how to lead and how to be an exceptional and effective Commander-in-Chief. That is how Harry Truman, who was Franklin Roosevelt's Vice-President, managed to effectively face challenges by accomplishing Roosevelt's efforts to lead America to victory in World War II in 1945 and by preventing the European continent from falling under the Soviet Union's influence by approving the Marshall Plan to provide European countries economic aid for their reconstruction. That's how Richard Nixon was able, after serving as President Eisenhower's Vice-President, to lead America to successes as President by successfully sending Americans on the Moon and contributed to a normalization of the relations between the United States and China during his 1972 visit to China. And that is how George H. W. Bush has, after serving as Ronald Reagan's VP for eight years, lead America as President as he fulfilled President Reagan's efforts to win the Cold War as it was under his watch that Germany has been unified after the destruction of the Berlin Wall in addition of leading our country to victory in the Gulf War by liberating Kuwait of Saddam Hussein's Iraq's occupation. And my foreign policy experience made contributions to President Trump's successes during his second term such as the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea and to the success  of Venezuela's democratic transition in 2021 after the Venezuelan insurgency's victory in the Venezuelan Civil War thanks to my co-sponsored Let Freedom Reign Act that provided weapons and military training to them. And my experience as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship made important contributions to the economic prosperity America is now living by supporting President Trump's efforts to promote tax cuts and free enterprise and by defending the interests of small businesses. I'm sure that our party supporters will make their choice based on this experience and background because I am by far the most experienced and most prepared presidential candidate in the Republican field to serve as President of the United States and I will use this experience to make America better still in the next 8 years by leading America to full employment thanks to tax reform, free trade and energy independence and by getting us to total and final victory in the War on Terror by keeping our military strong and staying on offense against Boko Haram, by standing up to the threat represented by Russia and China through a strong and modernized military and strong alliances, by getting the world to permanent nuclear security through a ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty and by defending our people's God-given rights.

Bash : Now, Chief Justice Mike Lee has assured the public, quote, “Only Court case to be scrutinized in my court begins with R and ends with E. Everything else is settled law.” He has also winked that he could be looking at overturning Roe v Wade, which triggered concerns among Democrats. What do you think of that?

Rubio : Roe v. Wade is an egregiously flawed decision by the Supreme Court as it resulted that several unborn children never earned the chance to appreciate life. Abortion is unacceptable in all cases because abortion means murder of innocent unborn lives. Like I said, we should promote adoptions instead of killing unborn babies. Every life is precious. I believe one of the fundamental rights that God gave to us is the right to live. That's why I propose to put in place the Human Life Amendment in order to prohibit abortion. That way, every human life will be protected by the Constitution of the United States. That way, we will lead our country to appreciate life and we will make sure that we will give to every American the priviledge to experience opportunity and to live the American Dream. And whether Roe V. Wade will be overturned will be decided automatically by the Supreme Court because we are nominating constitutional conservatives there.

Bash : A few minutes earlier, you have mentionned the proposed Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty that hasn't yet been ratified and would prohibit the use of Fissile material to build nuclear weapons. Why do you think it would definitely ensure the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and get the world to nuclear security?

Rubio : As you may remember, Dana, the ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty was an element of John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign platform but because Obama was elected that year, nothing has been  done about it since then. But thanks to President Trump's leadership and strong diplomacy and foreign policy that kept our military strong, we managed to bring Pyongyang to the negotiating table and to get the world to the denuclearization of North Korea. As a result, they are progressively moving towards political reform and the opening of their economy to the rest of the world. And thanks to sanctions on Iran, the effects on Iran's economy ensured that the Iranian people realized the terrible consequences of tyranny and nuclear escalation and so they decided to turn the page to more than 40 years of opression and state-sponsored terrorism by electing a pro-American President who has been able to work with President Trump to denuclearize Iran and to agree to use nuclear energy only for economic development, making strong contributions to nuclear security. Now, what has yet to be done is to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty because as you said earlier it will prohibit the use of fissile material to build nuclear weapons and other explosive devices and so will strengthen the world's transition towards permanent nuclear security by ensuring the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea and to counter Russia's military power. That's how we're going to promote peace through strength thanks to the continuation of American leadership.

Bash : Vice-President Rubio, thank you again for being with us and good luck for your campaign.

Rubio : Thank you Dana, it's a pleasure.

Vice-President Rubio’s response to Kristi Noem in Davenport, Iowa

As you may remember, Governor, President Trump has held, four years ago, a summit with Xi Jinping with whom he cut a deal about the trade war as both nations agreed to lift tariffs with China halting to steal IPs and the United States stopping to use Chinese citizens for cheap labor abroad. As a result, we managed to end the trade war. So here’s my answer : no I won’t pursue a trade war that has negative effects on farmer across this country, including here in Iowa.

And not only I will reduce taxes and regulations for businesses across this nation, including for agricultural businesses, and approve agricultural subsidies in order to help agricultural communities to recover from the trade war and to strengthen farm businesses’ ability to compete and produce but I will also champion free trade, which will lower tariffs and increase exports and imports and increase access to our products, including farm and agricultural products, for 95 % of the world market. Our economy in general, including our agricultural industry, has a promising future and that is why we must win this election because we can’t let the Democrats spoil that future through higher taxes on businesses, consumers, taxpayers and farmers. And I’m the candidate in this race who has the best chance to defeat the Democratic nominee. If I’m the nominee, we’re going to win this election and strengthen our majority in Congress and we’ll keep America’s status as a friendly environment for businesses and farmers.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among voters concerned about the Opioid Crisis in New England (including New Hampshire), in the Rust Belt, in the South and the West, Marco Rubio's presidential campaign broadcasts an ad about Marco Rubio's record of efforts and accomplishments to combat the Opioid Epidemic and his plan as President to fight it.

Title : Fight Back

Airing :  New Hampshire, South Carolina, Delaware, Florida, Alabama, California, Massachusetts, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Vermont and Virginia

Fight Back ad narration :

Narrator : New Hampshire is one of the states that the Opioid Crisis hit the most along with its New England neighbors as well as an important part of the West and the South, causing 39.0 per 100 000 drug overdose deaths overall (nationally) in the Granite State in 2016, 25.0 per 100 000 drug overdose deaths in Florida that same year, 16.1 deaths per 100,000 persons in New York. 28.2 deaths per 100 000 people in Massachusetts, etc. And over 130 people died every day from opioid-related drug overdoses.

Inaction on this issue was clearly unacceptable. We had to fight back.

That’s why Marco Rubio successfully co-introduced the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl.

Six years ago, he also championed provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments though the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail.

As President, Marco Rubio will do the following in order to combat the Opioid Crisis : 1) reduce demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse; 2) cut down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities; 3) help those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services.

That's why he needs your help and your vote to lead this fight, because our security, the American people's health and our children's future depends on it, because our children’s future is worth fighting for.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to attract conservative voters and Trump allies and to halt any Cruz momentum, Rubio’s presidential campaign broadcasts an ad questioning Cruz’s conservative faith and emphasizing on Rubio’s conservative record and accomplishments to show that he’s worthy to lead the Republican Party and become President of the United States.

Title : Trusted Conservatism

Airing : Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Delaware, Florida, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia and California

Trusted Conservatism advertising narration :

Source : https://www.politicususa.com/2019/08/02/ted-cruz-trump-texas.html
Narrator : Ted Cruz claims to be the most conservative candidate running for President. But this is a falseness.

Source(s) : https://time.com/4172788/ted-cruz-donald-trump-birther/; https://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2012/07/01/the-supreme-courts-john-roberts-changed-his-obamacare-vote-in-may/#1f769721d701
Cruz supported John Roberts' nomination to the Supreme Court of the United States while Roberts has twice approved Obamacare, which complicated the American people's access to health care and increased regulations on small businesses.

Source : https://libertyconservative.com/ted-cruzs-biggest-flip-flops/
Though Cruz threatened to filibuster any bill that strengthens federal background checks on guns on the Senate Floor, in a Fox News Sunday interview he expressed a desire to improve the quality of the federal database by tightening loopholes surrounding localities not reporting mental health problems and criminal convictions.

Source : https://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/statements/2016/mar/11/ted-cruz/ted-cruz-i-always-opposed-tpp-trans-pacific-partne/
In 2015, Senator Cruz first voted in favor of granting Fast Track Authority in order to negotiate the Trans-Pacific Partnership and shortly after that he flipped his stance on this issue and opposed it.

Source : https://www.nationalreview.com/2015/11/rand-paul-ted-cruz-value-added-tax-vat/
And he supported a value added tax like they have in Canada and European socialist countries, which will be harmful to new and marginal business activities, make America a harder place to do business and plummet consumerism by taxing it, thus hurting consumers' purchasing power and decrease businesses' competitiveness and their ability to produce, to sell and to create jobs.

Obama and Pelosi said they were open to a value added tax. President Reagan and President Trump opposed it. No wonder that conservatives called the Cruz scheme a liberal's dream because it makes it so easy to raise taxes.

Ted Cruz, too inconsistent and not conservative enough to lead the Republican Party.

Source : https://www.tampabay.com/news/health/with-shutdown-over-sen-marco-rubio-charges-after-obamacare/2149230/
Meanwhile, Marco Rubio has fought Obamacare from the very, very beginning until President Trump repealed and replaced it through Trumpcare that strengthened the American people's access to health care by stopping bailing out pharmaceutical companies with taxpayers' money.

Source : https://abcnews.go.com/Politics/marco-rubio-guns-debate/story?id=36344239
He is an unapologetic and unconditional defender of the Second Amendment and the right to self-defense through the possession of a firearm.

As President, Marco Rubio will champion free trade for the sake of America's competitiveness and American businesses' competitiveness in the world economy through lower tariffs.

Source : https://www.freedomworks.org/content/tax-cuts-and-jobs-act-house-and-senate-have-resolve-key-differences
Unlike Senator Cruz, he opposed a VAT just like he opposed any tax increase and he fought for tax reform for all his life, including when he successfully introduced an amendment to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, making the Trump tax cuts broader and permanent and encouraging job creation and lowest unemployment rate in 50 years and he will keep fighting for lower taxes in order to further reinforce the American people's purchasing power and strengthen America's status as the best place in the world to do business, which will get us to full-employment.

Source : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marco_Rubio#/media/File:Senator_Rubio_official_portrait.jpg
So if you want a true conservative of trusted leadership and conservatism to lead this party and to lead America to full-employment, to permanent economic prosperity, to security and to the defense of our God-given rights, then the choice is clear : Marco Rubio.

Rubio’s surrogate schedule

Florida Senator Pam Bondi campaigns for Marco Rubio across the state of Florida in an effort to help him to overwhelm Ron DeSantis in the Sunshine State. During rallies in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and in Lakeland, Florida, she praised Rubio’s leadership of protecting the interests of Florida’s citrus industry that represents an important part of the Sunshine State’s economy, citing Rubio’s efforts to advance provisions to the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018 to authorize funding for research and relief for Florida’s citrus industry, including a provision to ensure that crop insurance policies be improved to meet the unique needs of Florida growers. She also holds a rally in Palm Bay, Florida where she praised the Vice-President’s efforts to advance America’s space industry as well as space exploration by co-sponsoring the the ‎National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Transition Authorization Act‎ signed by President Trump in 2017 and that provided stability for NASA to sustain and build upon existing national space investments designed to advance space exploration and science. She reiterates Rubio’s pledge that America will send a crewed mission on Mars by 2030.

South Carolina Governor campaigns for Marco Rubio across the state of South Carolina where he praised his leadership of protecting the Second Amendment, reforming the VA to ensure better living conditions and better social services for U.S. military veterans, fighting for tax reform to keep America’s status as a place open for business and fighting to keep the U.S. military strong in order to keep America safe and to defeat terrorism. During a rally in Greenville, South Carolina, he described Rubio as the Republican presidential candidate the most loyal to Donald Trump, citing his support to the President’s efforts to secure the borders, to stand up to China’s economic cheating, to reduce taxes and to defeat radical Islamic terrorism. Governor Bolling takes on the occasion to describe this quality as a contrast to some other candidates like Ben Shapiro, citing Shapiro’s comments in which the co-founder of the Daily Wire said that President Trump’s impeachment should be on table if the Mueller investigation quashed. He declared it as a proof that Shapiro joined the Democrats in their manic obsession to impeach Trump and described it as a clear choice for this country : moving America backwards to corruption and big government or move America forward through the promotion of small government and tax reform as well as energy independence, free trade and strong national defense to keep the United States safe. He called on South Carolinians to cast their vote for Vice-President Rubio and declared that a vote for Rubio is a vote for opportunity for all, for full-employment and permanent security and strength for America. Bolling also holds a rally in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina where he reminded voters that thanks to the efforts given by Donald Trump and Marco Rubio in the last few years, South Carolina’s unemployment rate is at its lowest ever, the same for the unemployment rate among African-Americans (who could be a factor in determining the winner of the South Carolina primary) and called on African-Americans to vote for Rubio in order to pursue that progress for all America through tax reform and small government, which can be done thanks to Rubio’s experience as Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Tom Cotton campaigns for Marco Rubio in Arkansas and Tennessee, emphasizing on Rubio’s pledge to nominate conservative judges, to reduce taxes for all Americans, to promote free trade, to get the world to nuclear security and to modernize the U.S. military and pursue the counter-terrorism efforts against Boko Haram in West Africa until victory.

Rojava has launched Kurdish independence revolutions across the Middle East, including in Turkey, Iraq and Iran. That is not through violence that they are going to settle the problem, this is just going to destabilize the Middle East again and spoil all the progress we have made in this region in the last few years after we defeated ISIS. Our administration will work hard to look for a diplomatic solution.

Source : https://miamiherald.typepad.com/nakedpolitics/2016/08/rudy-giuliani-is-still-mad-at-charlie-crist.html
Twenty-two years ago, America suffered one of its darkest hours in history when Al Qaeda orchestrated the deadliest attack on our country on September 11th 2001 when 2 planes controlled by radical Islamic terrorist hit the World Trade Center, killing 3000 people. My leadership during and in the aftermath of 9/11 was very appreciated as I ordered authorities to close tunnels as a precautionary measure and as we organized the support of state and federal authorities for the World Trade Center site, for citywide anti-terrorist measures, and for restoration of destroyed infrastructure. Since then, we rebuilt the World Trade Center on the same site, which so many, including me, consider as a victory of life over death. Since then, strong progress has been made to combat terrorism as we declared war on terror and used military force against radical Islamic terrorism, we defeated Al Qaeda and ISIS in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, etc. and we eliminated Osama Bin Laden and Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Under Donald Trump, we secured our borders. Thanks to President Trump's strong diplomacy and moves to keep our military strong, we got North Korea and Iran to the negotiating table and got the world to the denuclearization of these 2 countries, strengthening global peace.

And last year, we suffered another terrorist attack in San Francisco, an attack launched by Boko Haram. We made it clear that we will never surrender to terrorism so we and our allies took military action against Boko Haram in West Africa where we are leading airstrikes against them. And Russia has been challenging us on so many different fronts : in terms of military power, in terms of influence in the Middle East and in terms of territorial claims in their benefit like in Eastern Europe, in Northern Pacific and in the Arctic. Vice-President Marco Rubio has the right foreign policy expertise and knowledge to keep America safe and that's why I'm proud to endorse his candidacy for President of the United States of America.

What I did for New York, Marco Rubio will do for America. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President of the United States, he knows what it takes to defeat terrorism and keep America safe. He will keep our military strong and modernize it, the same for our security measures, he will keep our alliances strong and expand them, he will provide our allies all the necessary military material and training to help them defeat Boko Haram and he will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to accomplish our world's path towards permanent nuclear security.

I noticed that every Republican presidential candidate that I endorsed in the last 2 decades (since 2000, precisely) has went on to win the New York Republican primary and the Republican presidential nomination. So, New York, you can once again make the difference in this race and decide of the outcome of this Republican presidential primary race. So I call on you, New York, to join our crusade for a strong and safe America because with Marco Rubio as President of the United States, there won't be any new 9/11.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless New York, God bless Marco Rubio and God bless America.

For a long, long time, China has been opressed by a communist regime that restricted the Chinese people's right to protest, to express, to speak out, etc. through violence as we saw time and again in Tiananmen and the 2019 protests in Hong Kong. But all of this will change, I'm certain, as China caved in to international pressure and decided to hold a referendum on whether to transit towards democracy in April 2024. In addition, the referendum referendum will be overseen by United Nations Elections Officials to make sure there is no evidence of voter fraud, which will ensure the victory of the Yes option as the Chinese people wants change after 75 years of opression and dictatorship. These are great news for international peace and democracy because it will nark the democratization of the second most populous country in the world. With a democratic China, we're going to get another major counterweight to Russia's influence in the Sea of Okhotsk due to China's military power. And I hope that a democratic China will turn the page to currency manipulation and adopt honest trade policies. And a democratic China will mark an end to a remnant of the Cold War. The outcome of this referendum will finally be up to the Chinese people and will not be rigged. So let's pray for the Chinese people to succeed their path to freedom, democracy and justice.

In a few weeks, the people of the great state of Kentucky will have an important choice to make in this time of economic prosperity with the lowest unemployment America has known in the last 50 years, strong security for our country and strong liberty thanks to the most conservative Supreme Court. This is an important choice and you need to make it right.

In the last 4 years, Andy Beshear has repeatedly disappointed the people of Kentucky and is not listening to their interests. During that period, Governor Beshear supported an expansion of Obamacare that was reducing the American people's access to health care by bailing out pharmaceutical companies with taxpayers' money. Beshear also supported Barack Obama's War on Coal that imposed regulations on America's coal industry, that represents an important part of Kentucky's economy. He restricted Kentuckians' Second Amendment rights through stricter gun control policies and also allowed several abortions by authorizing taxpayer funding to Planned Parenthood. These are not values shared by the people of Kentucky.

Meanwhile, Jenean Hampton is fighting for you. She proudly served our country as Captain in the U.S. Air Force for 7 years during which she fought the Gulf War when she was responsible for radar software used in tracking enemy planes and in search and rescue missions. After that, Jenean spent 19 years working in the corrugated packaging industry, eventually reaching the position of plant manager. So she knows what it takes to create jobs, get businesses working and make Kentucky a place open for business just like Donald Trump and I did and are doing for America. That's why she will lower Kentuckians' taxes for the sake of a stronger purchasing power for them and to make it easier for businesses to do business in Kentucky. As Governor of Kentucky, Jenean Hampton will defend your Second Amendment rights as well as the life of the unborn because she is listening to you, we are listening to you because we know these are your values and that's how we're going to win this race that could also mark a great accomplishment by the Bluegrass State :  the election of the first woman and first African-American as Governor of Kentucky.

So Kentucky, we need you to go to the polls at the highest number possible in order to elect Jenean Hampton as your next Governor. Thank you. God bless Kentucky and God bless America.

We are celebrating the Hispanic Heritage Month , a month where we celebrate the Hispanic community’s contributions to America’s exceptionalism and prosperity as well as the strength of the common values that unite and enrich our nation. I'm very proud to be from a state that has a very large Hispanic population.

Mi visión de America en el futuro cuando los hispanos están un porcentaje muy alto de nuestra población es que nosotros verá enriquecida por su música, su cultura, su alimentaria, su indioma y, sobre todo, su amor por America.

Most of these people came from places like Cuba or Venezuela, where they were deprived of human rights by a two-bit dictator depriving them of their opportunities to move forward.

Our political opponents are trying to dismantle the free enterprise system, the only economic system that made it possible for people like my parents to prosper and to live the American Dream.

My friend Senator Pam Bondi recently introduce to the Senate the Local Fundraising Act that would allow only funds for campaigning for Senate, House or Governor from the state in question, which means that a candidate wouldn't be able to raise funding from California or New York, etc. if they are campaigning for a seat in Texas, for example. I remember that when I ran for Senate here in Florida in 2010, my opponent Charlie Crist raised most of his campaign funds in Washington D.C. I guess the people of Florida partly sanctionned him on that along with his support to then Obama agenda such as Obamacare and big government. And I proudly support Senator Bondi on her efforts to introduce that legislation in order to restore integrity in campaign fundraising because a race for an office is decided by the people of the state concerned, not anyone else. And I support these efforts for the sake of a stronger and fairer democracy so I call on Congress to pass this bill and make it a law.

We are better off now than we were 7 years ago, including in terms of advancing our path to energy independence. After 8 years of big government, regulations on oil and coal production, we turned things around and under President Trump we ended the War on Coal, promoted clean coal technologies, increased permits and liscenses on federal lands and we approved the construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and of the Dakota Access pipeline. All of the energy policies of the last few years made a great contribution to the economic prosperity that America is now living. As a result, we preserved America's status as the first oil producer in the world, a status contested by Russia and Saudi Arabia and we are now on the right track towards energy independence. Here is my energy plan to accomplish our transition to energy independence if I'm elected President of the United States : we need to pursue our efforts to take advantage of our sources of energy, of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar and hydroelectricity. We will approve the construction of a pipeline from Alaska to Texas through Canada in order to facilitate oil production and oil transportation and we will promote offshore drilling in ANWR. Instead of doing it through higher taxes on the American people and on the energy industry like the Democrats are suggesting, we're going to use a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies. That way, we can promote both economic growth while ensuring a clean environment at the same time and encourage further job creation through the development of green energies. That way we're going to get America to permanent economic prosperity, to an improvement of our ecological footprint and to energy independence. That way, we can deprive terrorist organizations of revenues from our energy dependence and from our imports of oil from countries in throes of terrorism, thus reinforcing our national security. Thanks to this plan, we will keep moving America forward in so many different ways : economically, environmentally, in terms of energy independence and in terms of national security.

Source : https://www.cbsnews.com/news/five-things-to-know-about-marco-rubio/

On November 7, voters from Utah's 4th congressional district will have a choice to make, a choice that will decide balance of power in Washington : either we move backwards with the addition of another voice opposing our agenda or we keep moving America forward by keeping this House seat under Republican hands in order to keep championing tax reform, strong national defense, defense of the Second Amendment and protection of the Constitution. This race seems to be close. That's why voters need to see the differences between the 2 candidates running for Congress in this district.

Luz Escamilla has proven over and over again to be out of step with Utah voters, including those from Utah's 4th congressional district. In the Utah Senate, she voted against reducing state sales taxes and voted against establishing a tax credit for cable providers. She also opposed prohibitting abortion after 18 weeks. On guns, Escamilla opposed exempting firearms, firearm actions or receivers, and firearm accessories and ammunition that are manufactured in Utah from federal laws and regulations. And she opposed authorizing concealed carry of a firearm without a permit. She can't be trusted to defend your values at the House of Representatives.

On the other hand, we got a decent candidate in Deidre Henderson. She knows what it takes to keep this economy working for all Americans as she worked as a business consultant and served in the Business, Labor, and Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee in the Utah Senate. As Congresswoman, she will fight to keep your taxes low so you can earn a strong purchasing power and so we can preserve America's status as the best business-friendly environment in the world. These are policies that allowed America, including Utah, to prosper and reduced Utah's unemployment to 2.8 %, the lowest rate ever. Deidre will fight to defend your Second Amendment rights and your right to self-defense and will allow unborn babies to earn a chance to appreciate life. She is committed for you and you can trust her to represent you and defend your values in the House of Representatives. So we need you to mobilize on and before Election Day in order to get Deidre Henderson elected to Congress and she will fight every single day to defend Utah's values and support our agenda in order to move pursue America's progress through lower taxes, strong national security and defense of your constitutional rights.

Thank you. God bless Utah and God bless America.

Source : https://www.businessinsider.com/marco-rubio-florida-state-diss-2015-9
Recently, Burundi Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania and Uganda formed the East African Federation that is now the third largest country in Africa. The President is now working to establish deals with the EAF which I think is a first step towards a possible free trade deal between the United States and the African continent, which will help California's wine producers to compete with South African wine, allow our oil industry to compete with Nigeria's as well as in North Africa and help Namibia, for example, to become Africa's top exporter of uranium. Such trade deals will definitely be mutual for both America and Africa. So as President of the United States I will work hard to establish strong relations between the United States and African nations, relations that will strengthen our economies and we will fight to defend and expand human rights in this continent and together, thanks to strong defense relations, we will defeat terrorism in Western Africa.

I'm proud to have helped President Trump in his quest to make America great again. President Trump and I made great accomplishments for America, including strong borders, denuclearization of North Korea, countered China's economic threat and passed the largest tax cuts in history, which reduced our unemployment at its lowest rate in 5 decades and created 6 million jobs in the last 6 years. And I am proud of my successor as VP, Marco Rubio, on his service and contribution to help President Trump pursuing America's progress, strength, prosperity and greatness. Together, they defeated ISIS in Syria and Iraq, advanced the creation of the U.S. Space Force, keep championing tax reform, got the world to the denuclearization of Iran, are leading America to energy independence and gave us the most conservative SCOTUS in American history.

And I'm here to announce my endorsement to Marco Rubio for President of the United States because he has the best ability among the Republican field to open the Republican Party's doors to new voters, including young people, Hispanics, Jewish, Asian-Americans, etc. and also because he has the best experience to lead America. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and as Vice-President of the United States, he knows what it takes to encourage job creation through free enterprise and tax reform and what it takes to keep America safe, which he will do by keeping our military strong and modernizing it and by staying on offense against radical Islamic terrorists until we get total victory against them. He will be an exceptional President and that's why I trust him for the top job and I hope you will.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

-Vice-President Rubio holds a bilateral rally in Miami, Florida along with with Colorado Governor Jared Polis whom the Vice-President thanked for Colorado's contributions to help Florida and other states recover from the damages caused by Hurricane Derrick :

Source : https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/
Rubio : Hurricane Derrick has been very devastating for all states hit by this tragedy. We need to put partisanship aside and work together as Americans in order to repair the damages caused by this hurricane. Together, we want to say thank you to our courageous National Guard, state police, citizens and other organizations contributing to the reconstruction and helping the victims of this disaster. And together, we want to thank all other states for their contributions to the recover of places hit by Hurricane Derrick, including my home state of Florida that I love so much just like all other states. Every time Florida has been hit by hurricane, all the people of America has been there to help. We are all Floridians, we are all Americans. So, despite our political differences, I want to thank Governor Polis for Colorado's $75 million contribution for the reconstruction of areas that Derrick destroyed and we are proud to accept these donations. Because regardless of our political affiliations, we are the United States of America. Thank you, God bless you all and God bless the United States of America.

Source : https://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/politics/colorado-governor-jared-polis-denounces-trumps-emergency-declaration
Polis : Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, no matter what you are, we are all Americans. When something like this happens, we stand as one, no matter our political affiliations. The devestation wrought by this hurricane has warranted a response from those of us in position to provide help. I therefore make this donation of $75 million freely and of my own accord.

I have faith that the money will be spent logically and fairly. I understand for the Vice President this is a difficult time, as it is his own home state that has been affectd by this disaster. But yet again, times like these remind us that we are not merely Democrats or Republicans, but Americans. Thank you and God bless these United States!

Vice-President Rubio's response to Governor Rodriguez in Manchester, New Hampshire

Governor, we are already taking strong action for our veterans and I have shown it. In the U.S. Senate, I sponsored and passed the 2014 VA reform law that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. And under President Trump, we adopted the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 which made the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans, which ensured funding for social security and job training programs for our veterans. And this has been applicated just in time for our men and women in uniform who returned home after we withdrew from Afghanistan and from Syria after defeating ISIS there thanks to the fact that we kept our military strong and modernized it. And we're going to do even more about it under my presidency. We'll be giving military aid for a month via weapons and funds to our allies in West Africa in order to help them defeat Boko Haram. That's how we're going to get to victory over radical Islamic terrorists, keep American leadership strong while taking care of our veterans and investing in our future.

Marco Rubio’s debate answers

Source : https://caffeinatedthoughts.com/2015/10/rubio-wins-third-gop-primetime-debate-cnbc-loses/

Opening statements : I’m running for President in order to get the American people working together for opportunity for all Americans. I know what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom as my parents came from Cuba to America in search better living conditions and better opportunities and could never come back because of Fidel Castro’s rise to power in Cuba. Even though they were struggling and were not speaking English they managed to adapt in this new society and the hard work of a bartender and a housekeeper helped them to raise my and my siblings and to grant us opportunities they couldn’t have earned for themselves. We owe this debt to this great country and it has always been my principle to make sure that our children and grandchildren, including my 4 children, and future generations will be better off than previous generations that’s what we did with President Trump thanks to tax cuts that gave us strong economic growth, strong national defense that helped us to defeat ISIS and the most conservative SCOTUS in history which ensured the defense of our God-given rights. And that is what we will keep doing in order to secure such a bright future for our children and that’s why we need to fight for a principle that Abraham Lincoln promoted and that kept America strong : a government of the people, by the people, for the people. And that’s what America will get under my presidential leadership.

General Question #1 : President Trump has recently recognized the Armenian Genocide and called out the nations of Saudi Arabia and Pakistan for Human Rights Abuses and harboring Osama Bin Laden, allowing him to strengthen ties with Iran, India, and Iraq into the proposed Tehran Pact, at the risk of losing influence in Turkey and the Latter two countries to Russia and China. How do you feel about what the President has done?

Answer : I believe the President’s move is smart because we have to understand that Pakistan harbored Osama Bin Laden, the author of the deadliest terrorist attack ever perpetrated on America, which is why he has been able to hide for 10 years. The moreover that they arrested Shakil Afridi while he assisted U.S. efforts to locate Osama Bin Laden and kill him. And that is a good thing for us to recognize the Armenian Genocide because we need to stand on the right side of history and fight for the freedom of all of the peoples on Earth. Denying the Armenian genocide is like Holocaust denial. And even though ISIS represented a clear and present danger in the Middle East, Turkey led airstrikes against the Kurds despite their important role in helping us to defeat ISIS in Syria and Iraq as we provided weapons and military training to the Kurds. Saudi Arabia has violated human rights and restricts women rights and imprisoned people for speaking out.

The Tehran Pact is a great deal for us because it will allow us counter any attempt by Russia to expand its influence in the Middle East by adding new alliances that are key to stability, security and peace in this region. Thanks to President Trump’s success to denuclearize Iran, we got Tehran on our side. We had Iraq on our side for 20 years so we can clearly count on them. India is also a champion of human rights and is also the 4th military power in the world after the United States, Russia and China, which will definitely give us a clear advantage against any Russian incursion and aggression in the Middle East and to keep this region safe against terrorism. I support the President in that process and under my presidency we will work with our allies to maintain stability and peace in the Middle East, support our allies and combat any threat to this region's security which is crucial to global peace and to America's security and to a bright and safe future.

General Question #2 : For many years, Trump’s tweets have been points of controversy for the party. He has tweeted many things that are considered insensitive, such as his tweet against against Democrats in August. How do you feel about the President’s tweets.

Answer : Even though some of the President’s tweets can be offensive, those tweets are aimed to support us as fellow Republicans and believers of free enterprise, small government, the Second Amendment and the Constitution. Those tweets are not perfect but I want to thank the President for this support because we need to be united as a party if we want to win in 2024. And by tweeting, the President speaks only for the people, which is his way of communicating and I think it's effective because it's real, and it's not political speak like our Democratic opponents like to deliver. Unlike them, we get things done, which is why we passed the largest tax cuts ever, secured our borders, got the world to the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea, repealed and replaced Obamacare and improved social services for our veterans and we will keep getting things done for the sake of America’s future under a Rubio Administration.

General Question #3 : This Question is just like the Third Question at the Democratic Debate. There is now fear from Democrats surfacing of Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer’s health, as his death could mean that Trump could place a seventh Justice on the Court, which could mean the Court would become a 7-2 Conservative Court. The President has waffled on whether or not he’ll offer a nominee if Breyer indeed dies after the Iowa Caucus, and U.S. Senators Dan Sullivan of Alaska, Rick Scott of Florida, Steve Daines of Montana, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Mitt Romney of Utah have indicated that if Trump brings a Nominee to the court during the election season, they will vote against a hearing until the next President is inaugurated, in which Romney and Scott wouldn’t even be in the Senate. How do you feel about this situation?

Answer : Well, you know anything can change by the time of a senate vote, including the voting intention of a U.S. Senator. Rand Paul, for example, has first made it clear that he would not support Mike Pompeo’s nomination as Secretary of State and then he shifted his vote and voted to confirm Pompeo’s nomination. So if President Trump were to bring up a nominee for SCOTUS next year, we will work hard to convince Senators Scott, Daines, Sasse and Romney to shift their votes on this subject because the stakes of this election are too high to let the Democrats win the White House. And you know, even if we were to have 50-50 deadlock vote in the Senate, as Vice-President I am the President of the Senate and so I will cast the 51st vote needed to confirm a SCOTUS nomination in such scenario. The reason we won big in the 2018 senate races is because we confirmed Brett Kavanaugh’s SCOTUS nomination, mobilizing our party’s base and we need to keep our base, including constitutional, social and economic conservatives, mobilized in order to ensure a Republican victory in 2024 and keep moving America forward through lower taxes, defense of our constitutional rights and values and through strong national security.

General Question #4 : The Republicans have held the White House for eight years, thus making many believe that the political pendulum will swing for the Democrats to win in November of this year. There are others who believe that the Republican will win the election this year and become the next President, thus giving 12 years of Republican rule of the White House. How will you campaign to make the election as tight as possible and perhaps even win it despite the odds being against your party?

Answer : We have the best chance to win this election if I’m nominee due to my Hispanic heritage and I know that the free enterprise system is the only economic system that allowed people like my parents to succeed and the Democrats want to dismantle it. And on this stage, I’m the one who has shown the best ability to appeal among Hispanic voters and I am from Florida, a battleground state that could decide the outcome of this election. In my 2 senate runs, I won around 50 % of the Hispanic vote in Florida and partly due to my VP nomination in 2020, President Trump improved his showing among Hispanic voters from 29 % in 2016 to 37 % in 2020, the second best showing for a Republican presidential candidate after George W. Bush in 2004. I also have the best chance to win this election because I have the right experience to serve as President : I served as county commissioner, as State Representative, as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, as Senator from Florida when I successfully fought to double the Child Tax Credit, to pass the Let Freedom Reign Act, my VA reform law and my Girls Count Act. I served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know what it takes to keep this economy working and how to create jobs. And as Vice-President I helped President Trump fulfilling great accomplishments like securing our borders, denuclearization of Iran and pursuing America’s prosperity. And thanks to the economic policies that President Trump and I put forward, we got the unemployment rate among Hispanics and African-Americans at their lowest rate ever which will help me to appeal among these voters. And in 2024, an increasing number of Generation Z voters will become eligible to vote and they tend to be more conservative than previous generations, which will also give us an advantage in next year’s election and I’m running to be President for all Americans and I will take all these advantages to appeal among all groups of Americans because regardless of our beliefs, our ethnicity, our origins, our religion, etc. we are the United States of America.

General Question #5 : This Question is just like the fifth Question at the Democratic Debate. Next Month, in November, the states of Kentucky, Louisiana, and Mississippi will vote for their next Governor and Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear is in danger against Former Republican Lieutenant Governor Jeneane Hampton, who leads in most polls 50-44, and Louisiana is looking to be an already called race with State Senator Jean-Paul Morrell trailing U.S. Senator John Neely Kennedy, who has pledged himself to a single term if elected, in recent polls 57-31 in the race to replace outgoing Governor John Bel Edwards, while Mississippi Governor Jim Hood, with an Approval in the 60s, leads his opponent, Republican Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hoseman, in recent polls 58-38. Also, in Utah’s 4th Congressional District, the citizens of the district will vote between State Senators Deidre Henderson and Luz Escamilla to replace Incumbent U.S. Senator Mia Love in the House, with Henderson leading Escamilla 51-47 in recent polls. Which races are the most important to you and how will make sure the Republican Candidate wins them?

Answer : I believe all races matter because we need to win them in order to put our party in good position to win next year’s presidential election. For how I will make sure our candidates will win them, I have already started campaigning for them and I will keep doing so until November 7, by emphasizing on their determination to defend freedom as well as the Constitution through their conservative faith. I will remind voters in Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi and UT-04  how much Democrats running in these places are too liberal for these states and are out of touch with their values as Jim Hood supported an expansion of Obamacare and so did Governor Beshear who also supported Obama’s War on Coal while coal represents an important part of Kentucky’s economy. Beshear supports stricter gun control and abortion. In  the Utah Senate, Escamilla voted time and again in favor of higher taxes, gun control and abortion. These are not views shared by the people in those red states. Meanwhile, we have decent candidates there : Delbert Hoseman and Jenean Hampton both served as Lieutenant Governors and know how to run a state.  Hampton also knows how to create jobs and prosperity as she worked in the corrugated packaging industry and became a plant manager, a quality shared by Henderson, a former business owner who served in the Business, Labor, and Economic Development Appropriations Subcommittee in the Utah Senate. They will all fight for lower taxes and small government, protect the Second Amendment and the life of the unborn and that’s how they will earn the trust of voters in states in November.

Marco Rubio Question #1 : Mr. Vice President, this question goes for you and Governor DeSantis. You, him, and Ted Cruz are polling the highest in the Republican Primary as of right now. There is a very likely chance that one of you two will lose Florida to the other. If that is the case, Mr. Vice President, will you drop out or will you continue campaigning? If neither of you two win the Florida Primary, what will your campaigns do?

Answer : Well, your question sounds like an attempt by the mainstream media to demoralize our campaign while we are making strong progress in Florida and across this country and while I am the candidate on this stage who has the best chance to defeat the Democratic nominee, but we won't fall into it. I think the people of Florida will focus their choice on my experience and record of accomplishments. I served as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives where I led the House in apologizing for the state's role in slavery, put together a package expanding mentoring programs for teen boys, helped create a program modeled on the Harlem Children's Zone in Miami. In the Senate, I co-sponsored and passed the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act that required the Small Business Administration to lead annual study to estimate the cost of regulations on businesses, the 2014 VA reform law empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. I successfully fought to double the Child Tax Credit, making the Trump tax cuts broad and permanent and I passed the Let Freedom Reign Act to support materially and militarily the Venezuelan insurgency during the Venezuelan Civil War, leading them to democracy. I served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know how the economy works. I am proud to serve as President Trump’s VP and together we accomplished a lot such as strong economic growth through tax reform, creation of the Space Force, elimination of ISIS in Iraq and Syria and denuclearization of North Korea and Iran. We need this kind of experience in order to pursue this kind of progress for America. I have this kind of experience, that’s why we’re going to win the Florida primary and I will use this experience to move our country forward.

Marco Rubio Question #2 : Mr.Vice President, you have been noticeably silent whenever the President tweets, leading some supporters to ditch you for Shapiro or Noem. Why are you silent when the President tweets?

Answer : Your question reminds the people of the attitude by the mainstream media to try to push Republicans fighting each other through biased questions trying to play in disfavor of Republicans. That reminds exactly 8 years ago tonight when I reminded voters that the mainstream media bashed me on my voting record without taking into account the voting records of Barack Obama and John Kerry and when the mainstream media also described Hillary Clinton’s testimonies on Benghazi at the House of Representatives the best week of her 2016 campaign while it is the week she got exposed as a liar as she told the families of Benghazi victims that a video was responsible of this attack while she knew that this was a radical Islamic terrorist attack. The reason Governor Noem and Mr. Shapiro got some momentum at this point of the race is because of campaign announcement bumps that they got after announcing that they are running, which is normal for any presidential contender. And once again, I thank the President for supporting us as members of his party, the party of Abraham Lincoln and the party of Ronald Reagan because we need to stay united as a political party in order to strengthen our chances of keeping the White House into Republican hands in 2024 and that’s exactly what we’re going to do if I’m the Republican presidential nominee and we won’t let the mainstream media try to say or do anything to get our political opponents elected because this election is about America’s future and we will stay focused on that issue.

Closing statements : I want to thank the Kansas State University for your wonderful hospitality and to host this debate tonight for this moment of democracy. This election is about you, about every single American and I am proud to be from the party of Lincoln that abolished slavery. And as you can see on this stage, we are a diverse party : 4 Hispanics (myself, Senator Cruz, Congressman Gonzalez and Governor Rodriguez), a woman (Governor Noem) and a Jewish (Mr. Shapiro). We are the party of all Americans and we will remain it if I’m the nominee and the next President because we need to appeal among all groups because I’m going to be President for all Americans whether or not you vote for me and that’s why I will fight for you every single day of my presidency and I will not let you down. We will fight to grant opportunity for all Americans :  opportunity to prosper, opportunity to succeed, opportunity to live free, opportunity to live safe and that’s how we’re going to defend our freedom by preserving America’s status as the land of opportunity. Thank you.

Rubio's surrogate schedule - October 2023

Mike Pence campaigns for Vice-President Rubio in Texas, Florida, New Hampshire and Iowa. In New Hampshire, he described Rubio as the candidate with the best plan and leadership to combat the opioid crisis. In San Antonio, Texas, he promoted Rubio's free trade plan, declaring that the Vice-President's proposal to ratify free trade agreement with Latin America will be beneficial for all America, including Texas as Mexico, for example, is is Texas’ top import and export partner, accounting for 41 % of the state's exports and 34 % of its imports, the moreover that championing free trade is also critical for America's energy dominance, which can best be achieved by focusing on all of the Americas and not just the U.S. and that as America's top energy producer, Texas’ oil and gas industry has everything to gain from a free trade agreement between the United States and Latin America. In Houston, he praised the successful efforts given by President Trump and Vice-President Rubio's efforts to secure the US-Mexico borders through the completion of the construction of Trump's Border Wall. Pence also campaigned for Rubio in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where h e appeals among Florida's Jewish voters for Rubio by reminding them that Rubio became in 2021 the first Vice-President in office to visit Iran since the Iranian Revolution and that it was under the leadership of President Trump and Vice-President Rubio agreed to denuclearize, getting the world closer to nuclear security. Pence declares that as a result « their leadership, Israel is no longer threatened by Iran's past military nuclear program and past state-sponsored terrorism and that Iran is now a great partner to America and Israel to maintain stability in the Middle East. » In Florida's Space Coast, he praised Rubio's leadership, efforts and plan to relaunch America's space program and in Jacksonville, he described him as the most qualified candidate to serve as President of the United States due to his experience and political accomplishments. As Chairman of the Great America Committee, Pence commits this political action committee to raise funds for Marco Rubio's presidential campaign and to get him elected as the 46th President of the United States of America.

John Rutherford campaigns for Rubio all across the state of Florida, holds fundraisers for Rubio in his home city of Jacksonville, Florida and reiterates Rubio's pledge to nominate conservative judges at the SCOTUS in order to defend the American people's constitutional rights.

Rudy Giuliani campaigns for Rubio across the state of New York where he touted the Trump Administration's accomplishment to secure the borders, Rubio's plan to fight the opioid crisis and his plan to combat radical Islamic terrorism and accomplish nuclear security.

Kevin Stitt campaigns for Rubio in Oklahoma and Texas where he praises the Vice-President's constitutional conservatism, especially on abortion and guns, as well as his energy plan, declaring that it will preserve America's strength by getting the country to energy independence, by encouraging job creation and by depriving terrorist organizations of revenues from U.S. imports from countries in throes of terrorism.

Developping infrastructures here in this country is also crucial for the continuation of the economic growth and the prosperity that we are living. We also understand that we need to do it in the fiscally responsible way. Here is my plan to develop infrastructure : we're going to reduce the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; veto any gas-tax increase; turn back control of the highways to the states; stopp special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; free states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; remove barriers to public-private partnerships; repeal the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. If I'm President, we will also use a part of future budget surpluses into the development of infrastructures. Thanks to this infrastructure plan, we're going to encourage further job creation here in America because it will favor the implementation of new businesses here in this country, convince business owners that America is the best place in the world to do business and facilitate economic activities across this country.

That's why I need your voice because as long as I'm President of the United States, we will will make sure that our prosperity will have no limits and we will get our country to full employment thanks to the creation of good paying jobs through the promotion of free enterprise and free market.

As Attorney General of Kentucky, Andy Beshear has been a subject of a bribery charge. Investigators described it as a serious betrayal of public trust. Beshear's office covered has been covered in scandal. His top aide took more than $200 000 in bribes from state business deals and then used the dirty money to give Beshear thousands in illegal campaign cash, thus favoring corruption. The people of Kentucky can't trust Andy Beshear.

But Jeanean Hampton is a woman of honor and integrity who proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force, who worked in the corrugated packaging industry and reached the position of plant manager. She also served as Lieutenant-Governor of Kentucky so she knows how to govern Kentucky and as your Governor she will fight corruption, reduce your taxes, protect your Second Amendment rights, fight for the life of the unborn and pursue Kentucky's quest to develop clean coal technologies for the sake of prosperity, integrity and security in the Bluegrass State.

That's why we need you, Kentucky, for the sake of freedom and prosperity, to mobilize, to come out and vote at the largest number possible on November 7 in order to elect as your Governor a woman of courage, integrity, honor and determination : Jenean Hampton.

Thank you. God bless Kentucky and God bless the United States of America.

These are dark times for freedom and democracy around the world as we see a rise of tyranny and dictatorships in countries like Brazil, Hungary, Argentina, Italy and Greece. What is sad is that Greece, the cradle of democracy, has turned to dictatorship. For Salvini, it is not surprising that he's a partisan of fear, tyranny and opression especially since he opposes the euro, opposed the international embargo against Russia of 2014 even though Russia was invading Ukraine and annexed Crimea. And I certainly hope that his move to impose dictatorship in Italy doesn't mark a return to the Mussolini era. Bolsonaro has decided to act like a Castro-like dictator who restricts human rights and has extreme views. No wonder that he that argued that men and women should not receive the same salaries, because women get pregnant, adding that he believes federal law mandating paid maternity leave harms work productivity. No wonder that he expressed admirations for the 1964-1985 Brazilian military dictatorship. But as a free democratic Republic, America will always stand for freedom, democracy and the human rights of all the peoples on Earth. When we will have to, we will impose all the necessary sanctions in order to force those dictators to change their leadership attitudes and to stand up for freedom.

Hello, Texas! The Democrats believe they can turn Texas blue in 2024. We're going to prove them wrong and that requires nominating the right person as the Republican presidential nominee. That's why I'm here to announce my endorsement to Vice-President Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States of America.

Marco and I were once rivals. And I'm glad to have had a formidable rival in him. Now, time has come for our party to rally in order to win next year's presidential election. In spite of the Democrats' attempt to turn Texas blue, we have to understand that their values are out of step with Texas especially due to their obsession of raising taxes on the American people. And Texans champion lower taxes, small government and free enterprise. Marco Rubio, along with President Trump, reduced taxes for all the American people, strengthening their purchasing power, favoring the creation of 6 million new jobs, and bringing the unemployment rate at the lowest ever in over 50 years. This is also due to Marco's leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship protecting the interests of small businesses and strengthening America's status as a place open for business. These policies also put the unemployment rate among Hispanics at the lowest rate ever and that's why Hispanics must follow Marco Rubio in his campaign to encourage opportunity for all. Sherrod Brown, Tammy Duckworth, Kamala Harris and Tim Kaine have all made it clear that they are going to restrict gun laws and take your Second Amendment rights away from you. But thanks to the most conservative SCOTUS in history, we defended your constitutional rights, including your right to self-defense and that's what Marco Rubio will keep doing as the 46th President of the United States. Even though Texas is America's top energy producer, the Democratic presidential candidates want to impose taxes and regulations on America's energy industry, including the oil industry and the coal industry. But Marco Rubio has a plan to favor both economic growth and energy independence and a clean environment : he will accomplish our goal to get America to take advantage of our oil, coal, gas, wind, solar, hydroelectric energies and will use a part of revenues from oil drilling into the development of green energies to encourage both job creation and an improvement of our ecological footprint.

With Marco Rubio as the Republican nominee, we're going to keep Texas red and we're going to win next year's presidential election by keeping the conservative movement together and mobilized and by reinforcing our party's appeal among Hispanics, young people, African-Americans, Asian-Americans, all the branches of our party, all Americans. Thanks to his experience, he will keep moving America forward and fighting for its freedom.

Yesterday, Justice Breyer has been hospitalized after heart attack. Even though I disagree with him on so many issues, I wish him and his family the best. Here are my criterias in selecting a Supreme Court Justice nominee if Breyer's seat were to be vacant : as President I will nominate constitutional conservative judges who will defend your Second Amendment rights, protect the life of the unborn, fight for the preservation of freedom of religion and oppose granting constitutional rights to Guantanamo terrorists. That's how we're going to defend your God-given rights as well as our freedom and security.

I'm proud to have served our country in the U.S. Army during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. It has always been an honor for me to fight to defend America's freedom and security. Sadly, I've been wounded and lost my 2 legs and one of my fingers due to an explosion during a combat mission. But God gave me a second chance and I got my legs replaced by mechanical legs. It is important to take care of our veterans and grant them decent post-military lives and careers. That's what Marco Rubio did throughout his career. In 2014, he sponsored and passed his VA reform law that empowered the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. And under President Trump and Vice-President Rubio, we passed the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 which made the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans, which ensured funding for social security and job training programs for our veterans. This coincided with the withdrawal of our troops from Afghanistan and Syria 2 years ago after our victory over radical Islamic terrorists and so those brave men and women in uniform came home just in time to receive those decent social services ensuring them a bright future. With Marco Rubio as President, we will do even more to help our veterans to recover from the nightmares they have suffered in combat by investing into the development of job training programs for our veterans because decent social services is another way to reward the courage of our men and women in uniform. You can count on Marco Rubio to make sure that your service will be rewarded and that you will earn the opportunity to get a good-paying job.

Thank you. God bless our veterans and God bless America.

-Speech in West Palm Beach, Florida aimed at appealing among Florida's Jewish voters by reminding them that Rubio became in 2021 the first Vice-President in office to visit Iran since the Iranian Revolution and that it was under the leadership of President Trump and Vice-President Rubio that Tehran agreed to denuclearize, getting the world closer to nuclear security and resulting that Israel is no longer in danger of being wiped out of the map by Iran's past military nuclear program and its past state-sponsored terrorism. And he promises that as President, he will work to even further strengthen the US-Israel relations notably through collaboration inside the proposed Tehran Pact in order to maintain peace, security and stability in the Middle East.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to attract conservative voters, independent and moderate voters and Trump allies and to win the New Hampshire primary over Charlie Baker, Rubio’s presidential campaign broadcasts an attack ad against Baker, questioning his conservative faith and his loyalty to President Trump as he didn't support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee in 2016 and supported his impeachment in 2019.

Title : Liberal Record

Airing : Iowa, New Hampshire, Delaware, California, Georgia, Nevada, New York, Minnesota, North Carolina, Virginia and Maine

Narrator : Is Charlie Baker too liberal?

Even though he signed the no-new taxes pledge, he broke his promise and as Governor of Massachusetts he raised payroll taxes, attempted to raise excise taxes, has shown an openness to raise fees and increased state spending. No wonder that in 2017 he opposed the Trump tax cuts known as the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, declaring that it would hurt Massachusetts families while in reality it helped reducing the unemployment rate in Massachusetts from 3.8 % in 2017 to 2.9 % today.

He also supported stricter gun control laws that he even signed into law, diminishing Second Amendment rights. Even though Obamacare increased regulations on small businesses and complicated the American people's access to healthcare by bailing out pharmaceutical companies with taxpayers' money, Baker opposed the Republican bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.

In 2016, he supported liberal Merrick Garland's SCOTUS nomination, and despite what was at stake in the 2016 presidential election, Baker did not support Donald Trump as the Republican nominee and 4 years ago, he called for the impeachment of President Trump, joining the Democrats in their manic obsession to bring down the President and spoil all the progress made in the last few years.

We need a proven conservative leader to lead the Republican Party to victory in November 2024 and keep moving America forward.

As President, Marco Rubio will balance the budget, cut taxes and spending in order to encourage economic growth, job creation and preserve America's status as a business-friendly place. He will nominate conservative judges who will defend the Constitution, the Second Amendment and the life of the unborn. He will get us to energy independence by taking advantage of our oil, gas, nuclear, solar, wind and hydroelectric energies and invest a part of revenues  from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing it with taxpayers' money.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among voters who selected the economy as the most important issue, Marco Rubio's presidential campaign broadcasts an ad about Rubio's leadership and plan to create jobs and pursue economic growth and America's economic prosperity.

Title : Prosperity through Leadership

Airing : Iowa, New Hampshire, South Carolina, Delaware, Florida, Arkansas, California, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia

Prosperity through Leadership ad narration :

Source : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_2lYFiXAojw
Marco Rubio : Among the candidates running in this presidential race, I have the best knowledge of economic issues and is the best skilled to handle the economic challenges facing our nation.

Source : https://floridapolitics.com/archives/284986-marco-rubio-gets-chair-of-senate-small-business-committee

Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and I'm now serving as President Trump's Vice-President during a time of prosperity that has been made possible thanks to tax cuts, promotion of free enterprise and America's advantage of all of its sources of energy, which as a result created 6 million new jobs in the last 6 years. So I know what it takes to get and keep small businesses working to hire people and what it takes to create jobs and get this country to full-employment.

As President, I will cut taxes for all Americans, including the middle class, and for all businesses, including small businesses, so our economy can keep growing and creating jobs by making America the best place in the world to do business. We will reduce government spending in order to bring our deficit under control and we'll adopt a balanced budget amendment.

Source(s) : https://smcorridornews.com/oil-prices-pipeline-protests-top-2016-energy-environment-news/; https://www.engie.com/en/what-we-do-vocabulary/renewables/
Our plan will make America energy independent by taking advantage of oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar and hydroelectricity and by promoting offshore drilling in ANWR and the construction of a pipeline from Alaska to Texas through Canada. We will use a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies, so we can favor both economic growth and a clean environment.

We will champion free trade by ratifying free trade deals with our allies, including TPP and TTIP, and sign free trade agreements with India and Latin America. In that same process, we will reduce the corporate tax rate from 21 % to 15 %, which will make free trade deals more favorable for American workers and keep our jobs here at home while pursuing our quest for open markets.

Source : https://rmgbd.net/2017/01/infrastructure-development-the-advent-of-aiib/

Yesterday, we learned that Jim Risch and Dianne Feinstein, both friends of mine, passed away. Even though Dianne and I disagreed on several issues, I appreciate her fight for all her life for women rights and we managed to work together on key issues such as trade and foreign policy. It has always been my purpose to bring Republicans and Democrats together in order to get things done and that's what I will do as President of the United States. Jim was a great public servent. He served as Governor of Idaho and represented that great and beautiful state in the U.S. Senate where he defended the interests of Idaho taxpayers, farmers and potato producers. As Chairman of the U.S. Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, he helped our Administration to advance a strong foreign policy that kept America safe through strong relations with our allies, strong U.S. military and strong American leadership on the world stage, which helped us defeating ISIS in the Middle East, standing up to Russia and China and denuclearizing North Korea and Iran. May those two great lawmakers rest in peace.

Recently, the President declared the formation of a new Cabinet. I thank all the members of our Cabinet for their service to this country. All of the nominees selected by the President are very qualified for the offices in question, especially Senator Cotton for the office of VA Secretary. As a combat veteran he knows how to fix the terrible situation that so many of our veterans are suffering after their military career. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Senator Perdue knows what are the winning conditions to keep America safe, including a strong U.S. military. My friend Deb Fischer is from Nebraska, an agricultural state and so she is perfectly qualified for the job of Secretary of Agriculture. Lindsey Graham proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force and he fought for all his congressional career to keep our military strong in order to keep America safe. He will also make a great Secretary of State. James Lankford is a constitutional conservative who believes in gun rights, strong borders and more power to the states, qualifying for the job of Secretary of the Interior. And Senator Capito is from West Virginia, a state whose economy is mostly based on coal so she knows how to fulfill her responsibilities as the next Secretary of Energy. They will all do an excellent job for the sake of America's greatness, prosperity, freedom and security.
