Martha McSally's response to Tammy Duckworth in Mesa, Arizona

Tammy Duckworth and Tom O'Halleran are out of step with Arizona. She claims that I'm in favor of slashing our health care system, which is totally wrong. Senator Duckworth and Congressman O'Halleran are running on the same failed health care policies that consistently that sold the American people the same Obamacare lie according to which you can keep your health insurance plan if you like it, but millions of Americans, including here in the state of Arizona, saw their health insurance cancelled against their will under Obamacare that was bailing out pharmaceutical companies through taxpayers' money, threatened to bankrupt Medicare and has hurt Arizona. Look at what the average millenial in Arizona has been facing under Obamacare. The cost of monthly premiums for 2017 has risen substantially. A “middle-of-the-road” silver plan costs on average 116 percent more for 2017 than it did this year. The average monthly premium is a substantial $422 — a costly expense that a Millennial struggling to find work or pay off tens of thousands of dollars in student loans can hardly afford. With out-of-pocket costs and deductibles also on the rise, chances are Millennials will still have to spend thousands of dollars on an Affordable Care Act plan — money we need for savings, investment and building a foundation for our futures. The best option for healthy Millennials is a basic plan covering potential catastrophes. Yet the Affordable Care Act prohibits anyone over age 30 from buying these better options. Meanwhile, I led the way to force insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions. And with Rubio as President, we will protect pre-existing conditions and allow small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem will result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them (which will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs) and will also allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts. Vice President Rubio's health care plan will approve advanceable and refundable tax credit that all Americans are using to purchase health insurance, which will increase credits annually and set the tax preference for employer-sponsored insurance on a glide path to ensure that it will equal the level of the credits within a decade; and adopt measures reforming insurance regulations to lower costs, encouraging innovation, and protecting the vulnerable to make sure those with pre-existing conditions have access to affordable care through mechanisms such as federally-supported, actuarially-sound and state-based high risk pools.

When it comes to special interest groups, I don't need any lecture from a Democratic presidential candidate who is supported by special interests as she is supported by Super PACs that got more than $2.4 million of funding from George Soros and received $162 372 from Wall Street to fund her senate campaign and received more money from the securities and investment industry than all but 22 other House members in the 2016 cycle, more than all but 5 other House Democrats and more than any Democratic House member from Illinois. We have to understand that before the adoption of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act special interests get special breaks and lobbyists get loopholes but the TCJA that Marco Rubio and I supported and that Tammy Duckworth and Tom O'Halleran opposed not only reduced taxes and provided massive economic growth but it also eliminated special interest deduction and closed loopholes.

Unlike what Senator Duckworth wants you to believe, I've been an advocate for Arizona for all my adult life. I’m proud to have served our country in the U.S. Air Force for 26 years, a period in which I became the first female U.S. fighter pilot to fly in combat and the first woman to command a fighter squadron. Along with my comrades in the U.S. Air Force, I fought to defend America’s freedom during Operation Southern Watch and Operation Allied Force. After we our country suffered the worst terrorist attack in our history on 9/11, we fought together, we fought together, regardless of our differences, to counter the threat represented by radical Islamic terrorism and it was with love for my country and its values that I participated to Operation Enduring Freedom that liberated Afghanistan from the Taliban and from Al Qaeda. Meanwhile, Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth repeatedly voted to gut and slash our military budget and national defense, which gave us ISIS, and they supported Obama's deal with the old Iranian regime that handed billions of dollars of revenues from the lifting of the sanctions to fund and arm and state-sponsor global terrorism. But thanks to American leadership and to the rebuilding of our military, we defeated ISIS and got the world to the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea and if we elect Marco Rubio as President and if you re-elect me in the Senate, we will work hard to keep our military and our alliances strong lead us to final victory against radical Islamic terrorism.

I made the fight against human trafficking a major priority of my political involvement. That is an issue that is very personal to me. I was raped while serving in the military and I've been sexually assaulted in high school by a coach. That's why I have, along with John McCain, introduced a bill to Enhance Penalties for Cartel & Human Trafficking “Spotters” on US-Mexico Border. Meanwhile, my opponent Tom O'Halleran received and accepted a total of $8100 between October 2016 and January 2017 from Backpage, a child sex trafficking scheme encouraging human trafficking, even after Backpage's CEO Carl Ferrer has been arrested. So Congressman O'Halleran absolutely knew where the money came from and what it represented and yet he accepted such donations. Marco Rubio has fought human trafficking by introducing and passing his Girls Count Act that forces any country in the world that receives American aid to give birth certificates to little girls when they are born, which saved thousands of girls around the world from exploitation, brutality and slavery, thus reinforcing our security. So Arizona, you can count on me and on Marco Rubio to keep America safe.

Now, Senator Duckworth is trying to label as a « party-line voter ». Let's look at my record : I have a record of bi-partisanship putting the people of America, including Arizona, before partisanship. That's why I worked with Democrats to secure wins for Arizona like supporting strong trade partnerships at our southern border and protecting our state’s seniors. In the Senate, I sponsored the bi-partisan Public Land Renewable Energy Development Act of 2019 to promote the development of renewable energy on public land, and for other purposes. And I brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass a drought bill that provided hundreds of millions of dollars for water storage projects, water recycling, and desalination plants in addition of creating a new loan program for water agencies. No wonder that the Lugar Center ranked me as the 6th most bipartisan Senator while it ranked Tammy Duckworth as the 80th most bipartisan Senator as she voted more than 80 % of the time with Chuck Schumer and Sherrod Brown as well as with Nancy Pelosi and Andre Carson for higher taxes, strict regulations on energy production, stricter gun control and cuts in funding for our military. So the truth is that Tammy Duckworth is the party-line voter and I'm an independent voice just as our next President, Marco Rubio, who has been ranked as the 9th most bi-partisan Senator by the Lugar Center. No wonder that after the 2016 Pulse Nightclub shooting in Orlando he introduced the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act and brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass it, which allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun, ensuring that if any gun purchaser has been suspected for terror in the last decade like Omar Mateen (until he was no longer under investigation, which made him able to buy a gun), the FBI would be notifying that he or she has gone in to buy a gun and would have the chance to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to. No wonder that he brought Republicans and Democrats together to unanimously pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 that required the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law, fought to convince Jim Inhofe to commit to authorizing the Central Everglades Planning Project in the water resources bill for the sake of the restoration of the Everglades, called for a ban offshore oil drilling off the Florida coast and was among the 22 Republican senators who broke with their party majority in their support to the approval of a $2 billion emergency funding to combat the Zika virus while Florida accounted for 20% of the recorded cases of Zika in the U.S. As President, he will bring us together as a nation in order to get things done and move this country forward. He will bring both parties together to reduce middle-class taxes to 15 % and to index capital gains for inflation and create a tax-preferred savings vehicle so our economy can keep growing and make small businesses even more competitive. He will work with both parties to get this country to energy independence and he’ll do it by taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy (including oil, coal, gas, wind, solar, hydroelectric, geothermal, etc.), by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing it through higher taxes and regulations on energy and by making us number one in nuclear energy production and export through the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the U.S. by 2050 and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants. That is a plan that will strengthen Arizona's status as a leader in energy production (as Arizona is notably ranked as the third best state in the nation for solar energy production) unlike the big-government tax-hike policies promoted by Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth who want to impose higher taxes and regulations on our energy industry and make us more dependent on foreign energy instead of taking advantage of all of America's sources of energy despite the fact that Arizona has the 6th highest gas prices in the nation. Our plan will also keep America safe by depriving terrorists and other anti-American forces of revenues from our dependence from foreign energy through our imports of energy from countries either opressed by anti-American regimes or in throes of terrorism, revenues that would have otherwise financed their plans of terrorist attacks on us and our allies.

So if you want leaders who will fight for the people of Arizona, put America first and keep our country moving forward through tax reform and free enterprise, decent health care system, defense of our constitutional rights and strong national defense and American leadership, then go on the polls and cast your vote for me in the Senate and Marco Rubio for President because if you do, America's best days are ahead.

Thank you! God bless Arizona and God bless the United States of America!

Marco Rubio stumps for Dan Crenshaw and Will Hurd in Houston, Texas

Crenshaw : We are now at an important point of this campaign : the early voting period in Texas is about to begin. This election is about how to preserve America's freedom and the rights and opportunities that this country offers. Both Marco Rubio and I are sons of immigrants.

So Vice-President Rubio and I understand what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom and that's why we spent our entire adult lives to fight to preserve the American Dream and the freedoms offered by this great, diverse and wonderful country. And that requires protecting the Constitution, ensuring decent education for our children, making America the best place in the world to do business, keeping our military as well as American leadership strong to keep us safe and that's exactly what we did in the last 8 years.

But Julian Castro's positions, however, are dramatically out of step with Texans. His positions are more extreme than he wants you to know and he's running on the hard-left of the Democratic Party. No wonder that just shortly after dropping out of the 2020 Dem presidential primary race, he endorsed Elizabeth Warren. So Secretary Castro agrees with Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Alexandria Occasio-Cortez and the extreme-left on socialized medicine, open borders (which is why he called to abolish ICE, which would weaken our national security and allow gangs like MS-13 to pursue their drug trafficking activities) and on impeaching President Trump instead of bringing both parties together to get things done, which are extreme views that are not consistent with the overwhelming majority of Texans. All of us have been horrified as we’ve seen these school shootings. My fellow Texans Governor Abbott and Senator Cruz were in a hospital visiting a dozen of students who were shot. And they asked them what is the answer to this. Every one of those students said almost word for word that gun control is not the answer, they said that taking away our guns will not make us safer and will just mean that the killers and murderers have guns. And they asked them what is the solution to such disasters and the number one answer I heard from students, teachers and families at Santa Fe is more armed police officers at schools to keep our kids and our schools safer. That's why Senator Cruz led the way introducing the legislation that would provide $300 million in additional funding to put metal detectors. But unfortunately, the Democrats, including Tammy Duckworth, filibustered that legislation because their only focus was trying to undermine the Second Amendment. Just last summer, they filibustered Brian Sandoval's SCOTUS nomination even though Justice Sandoval has no baggage and has put the people of Nevada first before partisanship. No wonder that Tammy Duckworth and Julian Castro also opposed the SCOTUS nominations of Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh. No wonder that they supported liberal judges like Merrick Garland who voted in favor of a rehear a three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court that struck down D.C.’s handgun ban, which would have cleared the way for a reconsideration of the District of Columbia v. Heller (a landmark case in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to keep and bear arms) and an overturn of that landmark case, which would have deprived the American people of their gun rights. And that's why Senator Duckworth and Secretary Castro endorsed and agreed with Hillary Clinton who opposed Heller. So the justices Tammy Duckworth and Julian Castro would insist upon, like Hillary Clinton, are liberal justices who would overturn Heller, which would mean that no individual and no American whatsoever has any right to keep and bear arms for their self-defense whatsoever, which is a radical and extreme position and that's what Senator Duckworth and Secretary Castro want to see the Supreme Court doing : writing the Second Amendment out of the Bill of Rights. But as President of the United States, Marco Rubio will nominate constitutionalists at the Supreme Court to protect America's constitutional rights, including the First Amendment that protects free speech, free press and freedom of religion and the Second Amendment and to keep us safe he will allow the Attorney General to block the transfer of firearms to suspected terrorists and suspected criminals and will approve more police officers in schools to keep them safe and metal detectors to prevent gun violence while protecting your Second Amendment rights.

I'm proud to have served our country in the US Navy in Afghanistan in defense of democracy and freedom against terrorism and tyranny. In this fight, I lost my right eye in an IED explosion but remained in the Navy for four years after the injury, and served his fourth and fifth tours of duty in Bahrain and South Korea. And because we rebuilt our military, stood with our allies, restored American leadership, we're witnessing the elimination of any risk of nuclear war thanks to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and we defeated ISIS in the Middle East. And I'm proud to have co-sponsored co-sponsored a bill to extend time limits for claims under the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act.

When it comes to the economy, the answer from Julian Castro and Tammy Duckworth to every economic issue has always been higher taxes, higher taxes. In the San Antonio city council, Secretary Castro proposed a ban on all tax abatements for recharge land projects, which are policies that would have prevented more development in such areas and so would have prevented more economic activity and more growth. As Mayor, he raised sales taxes and increased property taxes. And if Julian Castro and Tammy Duckworth, they will fight tooth and nail to raise your taxes, which will kill jobs and ship jobs and businesses overseas and stand in the way of higher wages and more growth and opportunity. That's why they both opposed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, the largest tax cuts ever. But in his belief in capitalism and free enterprise, Marco Rubio successfully put forward an amendment raising the child tax credit from $1000 to $2000, which helped pass the largest tax cut in American history, which provided massive economic growth and opportunity : 7 and a half million new jobs created, a thriving middle-class, the lowest unemployment rate in 55 years, the lowest youth unemployment rate in 58 years, the lowest Hispanic unemployment rate and lowest African-American unemployment rate ever recorded. And that explains the reason why we are now the best business-friendly environment in the world as the tax cuts that we passed in the last 8 years allowed small businesses, including Hinee Gourmet Coffee in San Antonio, Texas, and One Coastal Bend in Corpus Christi, Texas, to create new jobs and to upgrade equipment and buy more equipment and to give employee raises. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business Entrepreneurship, Marco Rubio knows how to keep this economy growing. And as a successful businessman who created jobs by managing and optimizing the company's customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology, his running mate John James will be a great help to ensure long-term economic growth. If you re-elect me in the Senate and if you elect Marco Rubio as our next President and John James as our next Vice-President, we will keep fighting each and every day for jobs, growth and economic opportunity for the American people through tax reform, free enterprise, energy independence and free trade. And that also requires keeping the Senate and the House of Representatives under Republican hands and that way, we will keep getting things done and help Marco Rubio to keep moving America forward. And that's why I'm proud to introduce my friend Senator Will Hurd.

Hurd : Thank you, Dan! Thank you Houston. Here is the most important question of this election : are you better off now than you were 8 years ago? Do we pursue America's progress or do we turn back? The records of Jessica Cisneros and myself could not be more different. On taxes, I want to fight to cut your taxes, Jessica Cisneros wants to raise them. On job-killing regulations, I want to repeal them and my opponent wants to increase them. On national security and foreign policy, I want to do whatever it takes to keep our military, our national security and American leadership strong, my opponent wants to slash our military and our nation's intelligence operations. You can count on me to fight for the people of Texas. I know from my work at Crumpton Group LLC, a company consulting firm that help businesses around the U.S. break into emerging markets around the globe, that getting this economy growing requires lower taxes and making America the best place in the world to do business and that's what why this economy is booming and that's what we're going to do under a Rubio Administration and a Republican Congress. I know from my experience as a CIA officer that America's security requires a strong military, alliances and leadership, which is how we defeated ISIS and are getting us to a nuclear-free world and that's what we're going to do under a Rubio Administration and a GOP Congress. And Marco Rubio is the most tested, prepared and experienced candidate to lead America and move it forward. And I'm proud to introduce to you Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States.

Rubio : Thank you Will! Thank you Texas! Like it has often been said throughout history, « Don't mess with Texas! » But unfortunately, that is exactly what Tammy Duckworth, Julian Castro and Jessica Cisneros are trying to do : messing with Texas. She talks about taking away lands, but Congressman Crenshaw and I have fought for farmers and ranchers across this country for years which is why the Texas Farm Bureau endorsed my presidential campaign as well as Congressman Crenshaw and Senator Hurd. No wonder that in Florida I asked Governor De Santis to disburse citrus funding to restore confidence in Florida’s signature crop and that's what he did by approving more than $173 million for citrus growers recovering from Hurricane Irma. No wonder that when South Korea had levied a 54 % tariff on orange products in 2014, which was harming Florida orange juice producers, I pressed South Korean officials on this harmful tariff and upon returning home, I helped fast-track a solution by urging South Korean Ambassador Ahn Ho-young and his colleagues to tour Florida facilities and resolve their concerns, which they did a month later, after which this dispute between the United States and South Korea over frozen orange juice concentrate was settled and thanks to this free trade agreement, Florida natural juice sales reportedly have gone from $4 million to $40 million in three years and the sale of fresh grapefruit went from $1 million to nearly $5 million over the same period. And by reducing ag property taxes as well as taxes and regulations for businesses across this nation, including for farm businesses, to help them to innovate and to manufacture more tractors and seeds, which will boost job creation, improve agricultural technologies, we're going to reduce the food prices through the reduction of inflation and reduce Americans' dependence on food stamps, which will reinforce their purchasing power and give them more access to food. Meanwhile Senator Duckworth's policies are dramatically out of touch with farmers and ranchers, including those here in Texas. She supported President Obama's waters of the United States relief and voted in favor of it multiple times, which puts massive burdens on farmers and ranchers. She voted in favor of the Death Tax and to keep it broad, sucking farmers, ranchers and small businesses into it.

Texas is an uncontestable proof that tax cuts and free enterprise are the right answer to get this economy growing. Because Texas Governors Greg Abbott and Rick Perry reduced taxes, Texas is number one in job growth with almost 3 million jobs added in the Lone Star State in the last 20 years, that's why top CEOs in nation name Texas the best state for business and that's how small business & self-employed entrepreneurs more than $1 trillion to the state’s economy. Such progress has also been possible thanks to the adoption of the TCJA, the largest tax reform legislation ever adopted that I helped pass through my legislation effort to double the Child Tax Credit, a bill that reduced taxes on all Americans, including the middle-class and small businesses, helped create almost 8 million jobs and made America the best place in the world to do business. The Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates are at their lowest rates ever. But Tammy Duckworth as well as Julian Castro and Jessica Cisneros opposed the TCJA and they want to increase taxes, which will take away your hard-earned money, your jobs, your businesses and your home. But if we fight to lower taxes, to make tax cuts permanent, we will pursue growth and get America to full employment. And we will provide massive infrastructure development by investing into it and by lowering the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; giving back the control of the highways to the states; preventing Washington special interests  from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; and abolishing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions annually and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That's why I need all of you to go to the polls so we can keep fighting for your future and that requires keeping the Senate under Republican hands to prevent any barriers to more jobs and higher wages and that's why we need you to re-elect Senator Will Hurd and elect Dan Crenshaw in the Senate. Texas is a leader in energy production : Texas is number one in the nation in terms of production of crude oil and natural gas but also in the generation of renewable wind power as well as in net electricity generation. We’re number five when it comes to solar energy production. And thanks to the approval of the construction of Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines, we made strong progress in our path towards energy independence. So we understand that America’s energy independence requires taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy. But Tammy Duckworth doesn't have the intention of achieving that goal and that’s why she supported, along with Nancy Pelosi, a $10 per barrel tax on oil and voted against fracking and natural gas exports, which could have put 137 000 jobs at risk and driven up gas prices by 25 cents per gallon. And she wants to make us more dependent on foreign energy through higher regulations on America's energy industry. And her senate candidate Julian Castro has, as Mayor of San Antonio, shut down coal plants, thus costing jobs and increasing our dependency on foreign energy and as a candidate for the 2020 Democratic nomination, he signed the No KXL & DAPL pledge despite the fact that the achievement of these projects facilitated oil transportation and helped creating hundreds of thousands of jobs. But our plan will get us to energy independence, which will be done by encouraging oil drilling and approving the construction of pipelines to facilitate oil transportation. He will also use a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies. He will also make America the world’s leader in terms of nuclear energy export and production by encouraging the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the US by 2050 and that will be done by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling in the development of renewable energies, including nuclear, and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for the building of new nuclear power plants. That way, America will become energy independent, strengthen its status as the world’s largest energy producer and improve its ecological footprint.

In the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey that hit Texas, me and Senators Cruz and Cornyn introduced the Emergency Tax Relief for the families of victims of Hurricane Harvey, a bill that gave $5 billion in emergency tax relief for families impacted by Hurricane Harvey to help them recover from that disaster and this law passed both Houses of Congress. But the majority of the Democrats in Congress opposed that legislation. The fact is that we need leaders and legislators who put the needs of the people first ahead of their own political interests, ahead of partisanship.

Texas is the state where ISIS led its first terrorist attack on the U.S. soil through their 2015 terrorist attack at Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas where they injured 1 security officer. But thanks to the vigilance and courage of our police officers, we stopped this terrorist attack by killing the 2 perpetrators. But even shortly after this attack, Senator Duckworth and liberals in Congress voted in favor of weakening our surveillance program on June 2015, six months before the attack in San Bernardino, and repeatedly to approve the previous administrations' deep cuts in the military, cuts that have demonstrably made our country an easier target for terrorism like it happened in San Bernardino and Orlando. And even when ISIS was controlling 70 % of Iraq and used it as a springboard for terrorist attacks on us and our allies, Senator Duckworth opposed any kind of military action on ISIS. But because we rebuilt our military, restored American leadership and worked with our allies, we defeated ISIS and got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran. As President, I will keep our military strong and modernize it and we will provide our Western African allies in military training and arsenal and we're going to destroy Boko Haram key targets, including their infrastructure and their oil refineries, which will help us to defeat Boko Haram without needing to send troops there and will guarantee that America will not again get attacked by our enemies.

Texas is home to the Johnson Space Center that was formed in 1961 in the context of the Space Race between us and the Soviets. As President, I will make Lunar Gateway my top priority in terms of space exploration in order to give us a staging post for missions to the Moon and Mars. We'll do it by preventing wasteful earmarks from diverting precious resources from critical scientific and aeronautics research. We will commit to funding the Artemis program to ensure it has the resources it needs for human space exploration. We will also encourage public-private partnerships to fund that project, thus making sure that the establishment of a manned base on the Moon’s surface will be accomplished by the end of my first term, which will give us a springboard to a crewed mission to Mars and guarantee that the accomplishment of our objective to send astronauts to Mars by 2030 will be fulfilled. That plan will give an opportunity for Texas as well as my home state of Florida a great opportunity to strengthen their status as leaders in America's space exploration. That is a plan that will allow America to make one giant leap for mankind.

That's why we need all of you to come out and vote during the early voting period that is about to begin and on Election Day and together we will keep Texas bright red, we will win in November for America and ellos defenderán la grandeza de esta maravillosa nación y reforzar su carácter estatus como la tierra de los libres y su estatus como la brillando ciudad en una colina.

Gracias! Que Dios Bendigua Texas! Que Dios bendigua los Estados Unidos de America!

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to increase his supports from Hispanic and Latino voters, their fellow Hispanic Marco Rubio enjoys the National Hispanic Heritage Month (set from September 15 to October 15 annually) to broadcast a Spanish language ad praising Hispanics' cultural heritage and their contribution to America's diversity and development.

Title : Todos Somos Americanos

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Todos Somos Americanos ad narration :

Own creation; Own creation
Marco Rubio : Los Estados Unidos de América es un gran país. Gracias a las personas que vienen de todas partes del mundo, contribuyendo a nuestra economía y comunidad. Nuestras culturas tienen mucho en común.

Own creation

Own creation

Own creation; Own creation

Own creation; Own creation

Tammy Duckworth Runs Ad 'Service' in AZ, FL, OH, IA, MI, MN, PA, NC, TX, GA, and WI

“Tammy Duckworth knows about service. Whether it's in the military or in elected office, she’s remained committed to protecting our country.”

“That’s why she fought to stop Donald Trump’s policy of deporting our veterans because she values those who serve their country.”

“It’s why she’s fought against the Trump administration's absurd ban on transgender people serving in the military.”

“It’s why she continues to fight as the administration cruelly separates and detains families at the border.”

“As your President, she will serve you, not the gun lobby, oil companies, or wealthy donors. She will undo the cruel policies of this administration and move our country forward.”

“In November, vote for Tammy Duckworth, a candidate who values service to the American people.”

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to appeal among voters who selected the foreign policy and national security as the most important issue, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad narrating the successes and accomplishments that America achieved in the last 8 years thanks to the Trump Administration’s efforts to rebuild the military and track down ISIS and narrating Rubio’s plan to get America to final victory against radical Islamic terrorism.

Title : Safer Stronger

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Safer Stronger ad narration :

Narrator : Ten years ago, America and the whole world were facing serious rising radical Islamic terrorist threat and freedom was under assault by these radical jihadists for the values we believe in such as democracy, gender equity, free speech, free press and freedom of religion. Within a year and a half alone, ISIS attacked our allies twice in Paris, then in Brussels and in Nice and attacked America in Garland, in San Bernardino and in Orlando, where the deadliest attack on America since 9/11 has been orchestrated. It was more than time for American leadership.

But eight years later, a period in which we rebuilt and modernized our military, strengthened and expanded our alliances, provided pro-American forces like the Kurds in weapons and military training and restored American leadership, America is now safer than ever before.

We and our allies defeated ISIS, liberated all the large territory that this terrorist organization once occupied in the Middle East and we decimated their core leadership through Operation Kayla Mueller that eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

In that period of time, Marco Rubio has passed in the senate his bill toughening sanctions on Hezbollah to prevent  Hezbollah  and  associated  entities  from  gaining  access  to  international  financial  and  other  institutions,  and for other purposes. He also sponsored the Strengthening America's Security in the Middle East Act of 2019 (that authorized assistance and weapons transfers to Israel and extended defense cooperation with Jordan) and the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis.

Thanks to the creation the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMDO), we countered any attempts by terrorists or other threat actors to carry out an attack against the United States or its interests using a weapon of mass destruction by supporting operational partners in closing capability gaps along adversary pathways and by investing and developing innovative technologies to meet partner requirements and improve operations. Through the creation of the U.S. Space Force as the 6th branch of the U.S. military, we guaranteed protection for American satellites against Chinese anti-satellite weaponry as our GPS satellites are crucial to guiding our troops and aircraft in combat and in operations.

And through the ascension of a pro-American leader like Arsham Parsi at the presidency of Iran, the denuclearization of Iran and the normalization of our relations with Tehran, which is what Parsi officially announced in the aftermath of Marco Rubio’s diplomatic visit in Tehran in 2021, we deprived global terrorism of any form of supply and war effort from Iran’s past state-sponsored terrorism.

And here is Marco Rubio’s plan to get us to final victory against terrorism : modernizing our military; strengthening and expanding our alliances; strengthening intelligence services and intelligence partnerships with our allies; tracking down terrorists wherever they train and hide; providing our Western African allies in military training and arsenal to ensure their full readiness and preparedness to handle their own security and to help them to defeat Boko Haram; and destroying Boko Haram key targets such as their infrastructure and their controlled oil refineries through drone strikes (which will deprive these terrorists of any revenues from oil exploitation to finance their terrorist activities and plans and any war effort), which will defeat these terrorists without needing to send additional ground troops.

Speech in Warren, Michigan – 6th October
Good evening, Warren! Today I want us to remember where we were 8 years ago, before President Trump was elected with the great contribution of this community. The Duckworth-backed big government policies caused chaos in the country. The economy was undertaking its slowest recovery ever, the stock market was close to a crash, jobs were leaving to other countries, the people were in dispair. After the election of President Trump, he and Marco Rubio worked tirelessly to reverse the disaster caused by the Democrats and Tammy Duckworth. They have lowered the size of the government, passed the biggest tax cut in history, and the result is clear. The economy has never been better! Jobs are being created every day, unemployment is at historical lows, taxes are lower than ever for most Americans, and bussinesses are returning to America. However, Tammy Duckworth still relentlessly wants to cancel all the progress we have made. If she gets elected, she would raise taxes and destroy millions of jobs. Thankfully, we have another choice. Marco Rubio is the most prepared candidate to protect the economy in recent history. He served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, making strong contributions to America's prosperity by passing legislation protecting the interests of American small businesses and reducing taxes on them. And I have experience in business, I ran the James Group International and created jobs by managing and optimizing the company's customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. As CEO, I grew the company into a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry. This ticket is the chance of our country for an unprecendented strong economy! We will keep taxes low, and pass another tax cuts focused on working people like yourself. We will pass an infrastrucure development package, making it easier to build roads without useless government intervention and make America energy independent! This is your chance at a prosperous future for you and your children, which will hold for decades! So in November get out and vote for Marco Rubio and all the great people who are running for the Republican Party!

Marco Rubio's Debate Answers
Own creation
Opening statement : Thank you ladies and gentlemen. I want to thank you Chris and Rachel for moderating this great moment of democracy, I want to thank the Villanova University for hosting us and I want to thank Senator Duckworth for being here.

Eight years ago, America was at a cliff in a time of very serious challenges : the slowest economy in history, rising frustration, our country’s freedom under assault and rising terrorist threat. It was absolutely clear that we needed to promote opportunity for all, responsibility from all, and a society where everybody has a role to play. It was clear that we needed a restoration of American leadership on the global stage and a smaller government fighting for the interests of the American people instead of its own interests. And because we did, here are the results : we cut taxes for all Americans, including the middle-class, made America the most business-friendly environment in the world, creating 7 and a half million new jobs (including 500 000 in the manufacturing sector) and reducing our African-American, Hispanic, Asian-American and youth unemployment rates at their lowest rates ever and thanks to a rebuilding and modernization of our military and maintained America’s status as a leader on the world stage, we defeated ISIS, won Operation Ceasefire through the provision of training and arsenal to the Kurds and leading to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent nation and we together with our allies we achieved the denuclearization of Iran and North Korea. Senator Duckworth believes we can achieve prosperity through higher taxes and regulations and without taking advantage of our own energy resources and achieve security and peace without American leadership and with the smallest army since the end of World War II and the smallest Navy since 1915, which are the same failed policies that cost jobs, businesses and wages and made America an easier target for our enemies. But the American people knows better than that. My agenda will keep moving America forward by keeping taxes low, passing a middle-class tax cut for the sake of a stronger middle-class, getting us to energy independence by taking advantage of all of our sources of energy (including oil, gas, coal, wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectric, tide, geothermal, etc.), promoting free trade to make our economy the most competitive one in the world markets, investing in infrastructures for the sake of an even more dynamic economy, allowing small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which typically cost less for employers than group plans, championing school choice and allowing tax breaks for individuals and companies that donate to school scholarship funds or help parents who home-school their children for the sake of an expansion of elementary and vocational education opportunities for students to grant them all the skills they need to earn and succeed a decent career, keeping our military strong, keeping America on offense against terrorism and pursuing the diplomatic talks that will eliminate any risk of nuclear war and get us to long-term global peace (referring to North Korea’s and Russia’s openess to the rest of the world).  As the son of Cuban immigrants who came here to this country with no money, no fluency in English and no higher education but who earned the opportunities they couldn’t have earned themselves thanks to the hard work of a bartender and housekeeper, it has always been my purpose to make sure that the next generation will be better off than the previous ones so we can ensure that our children and grandchildren will be the most prosperous generations that ever existed and that requires promoting opportunity for all and preserving our country’s status as the land of opportunity and the hope of the Earth. That is what this campaign is all about and that’s what tonight’s debate is all about.

General 1: Many pundits have criticized the negativity of this campaign. What is one thing you can say you truly respect about your opponent?

Answer : What I respect about Senator Duckworth is her service to our country in Iraq. The fact that she left a part of herself there like so many of our troops pains me. And I’m proud of my brother Mario Rubio’s brave service in Vietnam. Because I fully respect the service, patriotism and heroism of all of our men and women in uniform who are defending our freedom and our democracy and that’s why I displayed a clear commitment to our veterans throughout my career. That’s why I cosponsored the AGREE Act that increased tax credits and exemptions for companies investing in R & D, equipment and other capital and gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise. That’s why I passed the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. And I co-sponsored the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math. And it’s in the aftermath of our troops’ return to America from Syria that the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 has been adopted, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans. And I’m proud to have selected as my running mate John James who fought for America in Iraq as an Apache pilot in the U.S. Army. And as President, I will eliminate the income tax on military retirement income and invest a part of budget surpluses in the development of new social security and job training programs for our veterans to make sure they will earn the best post-military service they can ever imagine. That way, their courage, their service and their patriotism will be honored forever.

General 2 : The courts have ruled in one of the most consequential decisions of this decade. What are each of your responses to this issue?

Answer : First, I condemn the violence caused by the overturn of Roe v. Wade and all the damage resulting from the riots. The Supreme Court’s decision ensures the respect of state powers and protects the life of the unborn. But these are events that demonstrate the need for unity and that’s why we need to come together and embrace common-sense on that issue. I believe a hospitable society is a society where every being counts and every person matters. I believe the ideal world is one in which every child is protected in law and welcomed to life. That’s another way to value every American. I understand there’s a big difference on the abortion issue, but I believe reasonable people can come together and put good law in place that will help reduce the number of abortions. For example when both parties worked to across the aisle to overwhelmingly vote to ban partial birth abortion, which was a brutal practice. However, there are many in the Democratic Party who now consider extremism as mainstream as Senator Duckworth and her party would tolerate abortion even right up until delivery (like Andrew Cuomo did in his state), even at the very end of pregnancy just as a woman is going into labor and even when the life of the mother is not in danger. The moreover that Senator Duckworth supports taxpayer fundings for abortions, which not only deprives hardworking Americans of their hard-earned money but also funds special interest groups like Planned Parenthood to finance abortions. And unlike what Senator Duckworth and her party are claiming, abortion has the potential to lead to future medical problems for the mother. In fact, a study by International Journal of Epidemiology estimated that about 15% of first-trimester miscarriages are attributed to a prior history of induced abortion, and another study in the peer-reviewed Cancer Causes and Control reported that abortion is significantly associated with an increased risk of breast cancer and that the risk of breast cancer increases as the number of abortions increases. So when I’m President, I will put forward adoption laws in order to promote adoption, which is a clear and viable alternative to abortion, fund and promote maternity group homes as well as abstinence programs. That way, we will avoid any risk for the mother’s health and life allow couples who don't want a baby or are not ready to have a baby not to have one without ending his/her life before it even begins. That way, this baby will have the privilege to live and to be loved. That's how every child, born and unborn, will be protected in law and welcomed into life.

General 3 : With Russia, Iran, and North Korea now seemingly moving toward greater openness to the world, what will you do to continue this trend as President?

Answer : On North Korea, in order to ensure our path to a free North Korea and ensure the completion of its openness to the world, we’re going to negotiate amnesty for those political prisoners to make sure they will be allowed to travel outside the country like when we successfully negotiated that kind of issue with the Castro regime who granted amnesty to Cuban political prisoners in 1978 ahead of the Mariel boatlift two years later and like when Gorbachev granted amnesty for Soviet Union political prisoners in 1987 when he shutdown the Gulags. And to ensure decent relations with Sergei Polonsky’s Russia, I will, as President, hold a summit with Russia and normalize our relations with them in the first 100 days of my presidency and we will work together for the maintenance of peace and the respect of human rights around the world. We’ll develop decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration. To derail China’s attempts to restore Putin's tyranny in Russia, we’re going to form a US-Russia Cybersecurity Unit to counter China's cyber-attacks in order to ensure the preservation and maintenance of freedom and democracy in Russia and to protect international infrastructures, including our infrastructures against China's cyber warfare. And to complete our path to a nuclear-free world and eliminate the risk of nuclear war, I will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapon.

The strong progress that we’ve made in the last 8 years would not have been possible if Senator Duckworth had it her way with her promotion of the same weak leadership displayed by the previous administration that cut deeply in the military and made America an easier target for ISIS, adopted a nuclear deal with the old Iranian regime, a deal that Senator Duckworth wholeheartedly supported, that handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world’s largest state-sponsor of terrorism and allowed Russia to invade Ukraine. But thanks to the restoration of American leadership and strong diplomacy and a rebuilding of our military, not only did we defeat ISIS but we also got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran, and I’m proud to have made remarkable contributions in that process through my 2021 diplomatic trip in Tehran that officially got Arshim Parsi’s Iran to denuclearize. After 24 years of oppression, terror and escalation with the Putin regime, Sergei Polonsky’s election in Russia gives us a great opportunity for unprecedented global peace as it restored peace, freedom and stability in the Middle-East and Eastern Europe and restored democracy and justice in Russia. But yet, last winter, in the context of the 2024 Russian election, Senator Duckworth and her party colleagues accused Polonsky of being President Trump’s puppet in the Russian election even though there’s absolutely no evidence of any interference by Washington. And they took on the occasion to try to impeach President Trump. So Senator Duckworth is more worried about impeaching the President and about partisan politics than about an adversary’s use of power against us (referring to the Putin regime’s escalation with America in terms of military power, its veto power against America’s national security interests and its invasion of countries like Ukraine, Georgia as well as to the 2016 attempted coup by Russian nationalists in Montenegro). In 1940, Wendell Willkie, this year’s Republican nominee, has declared, in his support to FDR’s effort for a peacetime draft in a time of global war, that he would rather lose an election than make national security a partisan campaign issue. That is not the kind of bipartisanship we see in today’s Democratic Party. We must bring people together, Republicans and  Democrats, to ensure that freedom will not falter and to advance policies that will guarantee strong global peace and strong national security that’s what I will do as President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief. We have a great opportunity for long-term global peace that we can’t afford to miss and thanks to my foreign policy experience and to the promotion of American leadership, we’re going to get our world there so our children can inherit a world of freedom and peace.

Rubio 1 : The President has now openly voiced support for the hacker groups threatening to cause further mayhem in China if social credit is reinstated. Do you agree with the President on this issue?

Answer : I do. Supporting those groups means siding with freedom fighters against oppression and censorship in China as the Chinese Social Credit System is an Orwellian system premised on controlling virtually every facet of human life, would give Xi Jinping total control over the people of China through mass surveillance and repeatedly served as a tool of propaganda for the Chinese Communist Party. So I support those pro-freedom groups you’ve just mentioned, Chris, because that way we will deprive the Chinese communist regime of any tool of propaganda and censorship and so it will ensure a spreading of freedom in China as it will allow the Chinese people to express and protest. Because it has always been my purpose to stand up for the protection and expansion of freedom over tyranny, oppression, terror and censorship like I did during my time in the Senate when I sponsored the the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 and brought Republicans and Democrats together to unanimously pass that bill that required the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law and like when I sponsored the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act that established sanctions on foreign individuals responsible for human rights abuses in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region and requires certain reports on the topic. Here we are in Villanova, Pennsylvania, in proximity with Philadelphia, the birthplace of our great nation called the United States of America, the place where, in a time of war against colonial oppression, tyranny and terror, ratified the Declaration of Independence almost 250 years ago. We are a democratic republic that stands up for the protection of human rights of all the people of the world, for the protection and expansion of democracy, freedom, justice and integrity like we did when we provided military training and arsenal to the Venezuelan insurgency in their successful fight against the Maduro regime in 2019, like we did when we fought and defeated ISIS in the Middle East, like we did when we stood up with our allies to defeat Hitler’s regime of terror in Europe, like we did by standing up to the Soviet Union. And it was Ronald Reagan who said that freedom is always just one generation away from extinction. And that’s why we will keep fighting for the promotion of freedom on the global stage under my presidential leadership.

Rubio 2 : Despite the fact that both you and Senator James are nonwhite, the Trump coalition appears to have lined up behind you in most places. Do you believe that this flies in the faces of the common narrative that Trump won the White House on the back of racial resentment?

Answer : First of all, your question is just another example of the mainstream media’s bias towards the conservative movement. The debate on race should not be polarized especially when Joe Biden, whom the Democrats enthusiastically wanted to unite behind in 2020 and whom Senator Duckworth supported for the nomination, has said that any African-American voting Republican is not African-American or when Harry Reid said, when I first ran for Senate, that he doesn’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican. We are the party of all Americans. That’s why we abolished slavery under Abraham Lincoln and made strong contributions in abolishing Jim Crow laws (that were enacted by the Democrats). And as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, I supported the state legislature's Black Caucus' request that the legislature apologize for slavery because I know as a member of the party of Lincoln that every human being, regardless of your ethnicity, your origins or your religious beliefs, is a creation of God that our Constitution as well as all the freedoms offered by this great country protects. The biggest issue for Hispanics is economic empowerment. My parents, who came here from Cuba, worked every single day to work to give me and my siblings opportunities that they didn't have. There's only one economic system in the world that makes it possible and that's the American free enterprise system. The reason why we have the right agenda for Hispanics is that the Democratic leadership, including Senator Duckworth, is trying to dismantle free enterprise, the only system where parents like mine, who work hard and play by the rules, can give their children the opportunities they themselves did not have. Thanks to the tax cuts and free enterprise policies adopted in the last 8 years, all policies that Senator Duckworth opposed, not only did we provide massive economic growth but we also brought the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates at their lowest rates ever (3.9 % for Hispanics and 5.5 % for African-Americans). And another thing that the mainstream media and our political opponents have repeatedly failed to note is that Iowa Republicans voted Steve King out of office. And our administration has provided remarkable investments in economically distressed and low-income communities across the country through the creation of Opportunity Zones, which are measures that Senator Duckworth described as « scam » seven years ago even though it offered tax incentives for businesses to invest in economically distressed communities, making them a powerful vehicle for economic growth and job creation, jumpstart our American communities, create momentum for economic recovery, and attract investment to diverse areas across our Nation. And we made supporting our Nation’s Historically Black Colleges and Universities a key priority as President Trump signed legislation that increased Federal funding to HBCU programs by more than 14 percent and signed another one that forgave more than $322 million in Hurricane Katrina related debt that threatened New Orleans area HBCUs. Thanks to the promotion of opportunity, my fellow Americans, en este pais, ustedes van a poder lograr todas las cosas que nosotros no pudimos. “In this country, you will achieve all the things we never could.” And the promotion of opportunity for all Americans will be the purpose of my presidency.

Tammy Duckworth Debate Responses

20131120-DM-LSC-0287 by U.S. Department of Agriculture, on Flickr

Quote
Opening Statement:
“America stands at a crossroads, do we continue on with policies that skew our economy towards the ultra-wealthy, or do we create a fairer, more equitable America? Do we continue with a lack of clear leadership at the top with Marco Rubio standing in for a third term for Donald Trump, or do we work with our allies to step away from the brink of war? Do we bow to special interests seeking to take away healthcare access, reproductive rights, and roll back LGBTQ rights, or do we fight for the rights of everyday Americans? I believe the answer is clear.

I’ve never had any illusions that this would be an easy campaign, but I’ve never backed down from a fight. We may not have an army of billionaire donors or corporate PACs unlike my opponent, but we have real, grassroots support on our side. I stand before you as a candidate for progress, of looking forward to a brighter future, not one who is looking backward to an America that is less free and fair.

The next President has a heavy challenge awaiting her. She will deal with a country divided by demagoguery, a world in need of leadership and coalition building, and addressing growing inequality. America, I will not back down from this fight, and I promise to be your champion.”

Quote
General 1:
Many pundits have criticized the negativity of this campaign. What is one thing you can say you truly respect about your opponent?

“I have tried and pushed for an end to the negative campaigning, but my opponent seems unwilling to give the American people a debate on ideas and has decided to lean into Trumpian rhetoric. It is truly unfortunate that this election has devolved into more of the same mudslinging that has exemplified the past eight years, and I’m hoping that in November we put an end to this era of negativity.

But, to the point, I truly see that Marco Rubio is a man that obviously loves his family, and it is always wonderful to see him interact with his wife and children.”

Quote
General 2:
The courts have ruled in one of the most consequential decisions of this decade. What are each of your responses to this issue?

“I’ve spoken a little on this, but what I’ll say is I’m fired up. The Court wantonly removed a right from millions of Americans, overturned precedent, and sparked national unrest all with one decision. I plan on fighting tooth and nail against the same special interests who handpicked judicial appointments for Donald Trump to push through the Republican-controlled Senate. Let’s make no mistake, these same interests have lists of appointees ready for a Rubio presidency, and will have the same influence in judicial appointments if he is to win in November. Unlike the current President and Vice President, I’m committed to only appointing justices that represent the view of the majority of Americans, that Roe v Wade is the law of the land.

I have released a Plan for Reproductive Justice that I’m going to submit to the Senate, and I ask my fellow Senators to do what’s right and join me on this bill. If Congressional Republicans and the Vice President oppose this, I want them to look their constituents in the eye and say it, not hide behind the court’s decision.”
Quote
General 3:
With Russia, Iran, and North Korea now seemingly moving toward greater openness to the world, what will you do to continue this trend as President?

“America is at her best when she is a leader on the global stage and as your President, I will prioritize diplomacy and international coalition building with our allies. I believe that opening these countries is a good first step, but we can’t ignore the human rights concerns that accompany any conversations with countries with a recent history of an authoritarian regime. We must be careful in taking dictators at their word while they’re actions belie their true motive.

I’m deeply concerned with this administration’s ‘go at it alone’ attitude, ignoring our friends and allies when they sound the alarm of legitimizing a dictator based on promises and assurances alone. Time and time again, the Trump-Rubio administration has been more willing to make deals with questionable regimes than to take our allies’ concerns seriously. That has to stop. If we are to interact with countries like North Korea, we have to be sure they’re not keeping dissidents in a countrywide state of house arrest. It’s why I believe in increasing funding to the state department, rather than continuing to cut it year after year.”

Quote
Duckworth 1:
Many have called you a “spiritual successor” to former President Obama, as a nonwhite Senator from Illinois who has risen quickly on the political scene. Do you welcome these comparisons to Obama, or do you believe the party should move past its nostalgic yearning for the Obama years?

“I’m honored to have any comparison to President Obama, I was proud to have supported his presidency and I’m proud of what we achieved. I will say, I am my own candidate with my own platform. I’m not the next President Obama, I plan on being the first President Duckworth. I am empathetic to everyone who yearns for the Obama years where we expanded healthcare to more Americans rather than taking it away, when the courts enshrined the rights of millions of Americans, rather than stripping their rights away, and when we had a President who made us proud. That’s something I intend to bring back to the White House from the Obama years, the feeling of hope and trust that the President is on your side, not on the side of the ultra-wealthy donors bankrolling their campaign.”

Quote
Duckworth 2:
With a single decision, the Supreme Court has struck down fifty years of it being unconstitutional to deny a woman the right to choose. What will you do as President to protect a woman’s right to choose even as red states begin to clamp down on it?

“Before I tell you my plan, I want to make something clear, overturning Roe will not end abortion even in states that pass the most restrictive laws imaginable. It just ends safe abortions in those states, it allows the wealthy to retain their freedom of choice but criminalizes it for everyone else. I know it, the Court knows it, and Marco Rubio knows it.

This terrible decision inspired me to roll out an updated plan for reproductive justice that I encourage everyone to take a look at. It starts by codifying Roe, as we cannot go back to the days of back-alley abortions, and that’s exactly what overturning Roe will do to many living in states with leaders who have wished for this day to come. It includes overturning the Hyde amendment and requiring both public and private insurance to cover abortion for what it is, a medical procedure.

Republicans claim to want to reduce abortions but constantly vote against measures like expanding access to sex ed and contraceptives, against paid family leave and universal childcare which would reduce the economic hardship of families, and against making adoption easier for same-sex couples. Every single one of those policies has a place in this discussion, and I for one am tired of Republican dishonesty here.”

Quote
Closing statement:

“Tonight, I end this debate with millions of Americans in my mind. I’m thinking of the person in Madison who told me she was worried that the Supreme Court could make her marriage illegal. I’m thinking of the person in Philadelphia whose child asked me what I would do about the fear students have of facing gun violence at school. I’m thinking of the countless messages my campaign has received about how they’re tired of politicians touting the stock market numbers as a sign of a ‘strong economy’ when they can barely afford to put food on the table.

It’s obvious that American families need a fighter. They don’t have lobbies or PACs or thousands of dollars to buy access to candidates. It’s why I spend much of my time during townhalls taking questions because so many Americans feel ignored by Washington politicians who seem more concerned with donors than everyday people. I want to tell American families that I hear for you, and I will continue my commitment to service by fighting for you. But, I can’t do it alone.

You see, unlike my opponent, I don’t grant greater access to high dollar donors than I do anyone else. I don’t have a book of billionaire contacts funding my campaign in exchange for more tax cuts. This entire campaign has relied on grassroots support since day one, from the culinary union member in Las Vegas to the teacher in Des Moines, you are the ones propelling this campaign. Please visit my website and find out how you can get involved with electing a new generation of leadership in Washington. Together, we can create real progress. Thank you.”

Marco Rubio's Debate Answers, Part 2
Own creation

Closing statement : I want to thank Senator Duckworth and thank you Chris and thank you Rachel for the moderation.

This election is the most important one in our lifetime. It is about the future, about who can lead, get things done and keep moving this country forward. And that’s exactly what we did in the last 8 years, which is why we achieved remarkable progress after a time of sluggish economy and growing terrorist threat. Because we cut taxes and regulations and made America the best place in the world to do businesses, we added 7 and a half million new jobs and brought the Hispanic, African-American. Asian-American and youth unemployment rates at their lowest rates ever and small businesses as well as the middle-class are flourishing. Because President Trump and I worked hard to rebuild the military and to reinforce our alliances as well as American leadership, we defeated ISIS and decimated their core leadership (referring to the successful operation that killed ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi in 2019) and freedom is on the march : we got the globe to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran and to Russia’s openness to the rest of the world, thus clearing the way for long-term global peace and national security. So the choice of this election is either we move backwards to the area of sluggish and insecurity like Senator Duckworth is suggesting through tax increases and job-killing regulations that will make America a harder place to do business and ship jobs overseas and deep cuts in the military and disengagement from the world stage that will make our country an easier target for our enemies like it did in San Bernardino and Orlando or we pursue America’s progress. And you can count my experience to lead. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know what it takes to keep this economy growing and we’re gonna do it by promoting free enterprise, tax reform, a middle-class tax cut, America’s advantage over all its own sources of energy, America’s competitiveness in the world economy by promoting free trade, investment in America’s infrastructures, school choice and a balanced budget. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President, I know what needs to be done to keep this country safe, which will be done by keeping our military strong and modernizing it, by staying on offense against radical Islamic terrorists and denying sanctuary for these barbarians, strengthening and expanding our alliances and pursuing those diplomatic talks with North Korea and Russia to get us to a nuclear-free world and to expand freedom and democracy around the globe. Our long-term prosperity and security depends on our deep faith in liberty and that is a quality that defines me. That’s why I passed my bipartisan bill toughening sanctions on Hezbollah, the 2014 VA reform law led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit which got our country to massive economic growth and to the prosperity that America is now living, brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass the Let Freedom Reign Act of 2019 that helped leading Venezuela to democracy and freedom thanks to the provision of military arsenal and training to the Venezuelan insurgency, and to pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act and I helped the President to defeat ISIS and I led the 2021 diplomatic mission that officially got Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism (which is what Iranian President Arsham Parsi officially announced in a Joint Session of Congress in the aftermath of that visit). So I have the knowledge and experience to lead, to get things done and to bring both parties together in that process and that’s why I ask for your vote in order to keep our country moving forward to get our country to full-employment and permanent prosperity, security, freedom and peace. Thank you.

Marco Rubio's rebuttals

General 1 : First of all, Senator Duckworth started the mudslinging, starting her campaign on a pessimistic view of America's situation and claiming that America hasn't made any progress and hasn't moved any forward in the last 8 years. But pessimism has never created a job and has never kept America safe. Over and over again, she questioned the effectiveness of the tax cuts that we passed in the last 8 years. These are the policies that helped create 7 and a half million jobs thanks to my effort to double the child tax credit and by making America the best business-friendly place in the world. My opponent claims that these policies crushed the middle-class. No. The Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy, that is not supporting any candidate in this election, reports that under the TCJA, a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. A single parent with one child earning $41 000 a year saw a tax cut of $1,304, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes. Nine out of ten taxpayers with annual income between $64,000 and $108,000 earned an average federal tax cut of $1400 in 2018. And 90 %  taxpayers winning between $40,000 and $64,000 got an average federal tax cut of $810, while 87 percent of taxpayers with annual income between $108,000 and $232,000 saw an average federal tax cut of $2,710. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act doubled the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000. 105 million Americans took the standard deduction according to the IRS statistics of income (SOI) database. Yet Senator Duckworth voted against that legislation, voting against lower taxes and higher wages for the middle-class. She claims that America has not displayed leadership. If that was true, we would not have defeated ISIS in the Middle East, we would not have eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (something Obama has failed to do), we would not have got North Korea and Iran denuclearizing and transitioning towards democracy (as Iran is now governed by a Arsham Parsi a pro-American President and as Pyongyang announced last year that free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament will be held on October 23rd, 2024 and that reforms will be brought to the local government), we would not have got Venezuela achieving its democratization thanks to the provision of material and training to the Venezuelan insurgency in the Venezuelan Civil War and we would not have won Operation Ceasefire without a single American casualty (as we haven't sent troops in Turkey) and led to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent nation through sanctions on Turkey and the provision of military training and arsenal to the Kurds. But that is exactly what happened in the last 8 years. Why? Because we restored strong American leadership, because we rebuilt and modernized our military (which Senator Duckworth voted time and again to weaken) and because we displayed strong diplomacy, which are all policies that made America much safer than ever before.

While my opponent is letting the polls dictating her campaign as she started negative campaign when this race became closer and closer in the polls digit, I'm running to move America forward which we're going to do thanks to a middle-class tax cut, energy independence, free trade, infrastructure development, defense of our constitutional rights, a strong and modernized military, strong American leadership, which will get us to long-term prosperity and full employment, defense of America's freedom and ensure steady global peace and keep this country safe. And I have the leadership, the experience, the vision and the agenda to get us there.

General 3 : What Senator Duckworth just said is just not true. We did not act alone. America acted with its friends and allies under this administration. In the talks with North Korea, we're acting with Japan, South Korea, Australia and Russia in that process. On our fight against ISIS, we led a strong coalition which is why we defeated that terrorist organization. We worked with the French who sacrificed with us through their participation in Operation Chammal in Syria and Iraq. We worked with the British who sacrificed with us through their involvement in Operation Shader. We worked with the Canadians who sacrificed with us through their implication in Operation Impact. We worked with Australians who sacrificed with us through their participation in Operation Okra. You can't lead an alliance if you denigrate, demean and discount the contributions of our allies for the preservation of peace and freedom.

Now when it comes to North Korea, it is simply untrue to say that this administration is sacrificing our democratic principles and is legimizing an hostile regime. We are a week away from free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament (on October 23 2024) reforms will be brought to the local government and that ties between themselves and South Korea will be developped as North Korea is opening its economy to the rest of the world. So democracy, freedom and human rights are on the march in the Korean peninsula. All of that has been made possible thanks to strong diplomacy, sanctions and strong American leadership that got North Korea to denuclearize. And under my presidential leadership, we're going to negotiate amnesty for political prisoners so they will be able to travel outside the country. And what Senator Duckworth just pointed out is that she would not have the courage to meet with both allies and adversaries to ensure and provide steady peace and national security like Franklin Roosevelt who met with Stalin, like JFK who met with Kruschev and like Ronald Reagan who met and worked with Gorbachev (which led us to our victory in the Cold War thanks to tough diplomacy and to the disarmament of the Soviet Union). That is the kind of leadership that got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and under my presidency we're going to eliminate any risk of nuclear war by normalizing our relations with Polonsky's Russia and by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material to build dangerous weapons. That's how we're going to provide long-term global peace.

Duckworth 1 : Well, it is striking that the Senator doesn't dispute that she wants to move America backwards through the same tax increase and big government policies that gave us the slowest economy in American history and cost America 300 000 manufacturing jobs, through the same failed policies bailing out pharmaceutical companies through taxpayers' money that hardworking Americans need for their health care coverage, through the same policies promoting peace through surrender instead of peace through strength by slashing our military, which allowed ISIS' expansion and allowed them to attack us and our allies. On health care, Senator Duckworth is selling the same false promise that under Obamacare « if you like your health insurance plan you can keep it, if you like your doctor you can keep it ». Politifact, the left-leaning organization rated that claim as 2013's lie of the year as millions of Americans saw their health insurance cancelled against their will under Obamacare. But thanks to the protection of pre-existing conditions and to the promotion of HRAs, we're going to reduce healthcare costs which typically cost less for employers and facilitate their access to it, allow 11 million workers seeking coverage from them allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts. When it comes to Super PACs donations, Senator Duckworth has no credibility on that issue. She claims that she doesn't get any fund from Super PACs. That's not the case. She got the support of Super PACs that got more than $2.4 million of funding from George Soros. She received $162 372 from Wall Street to fund her senate campaign and received more money from the securities and investment industry than all but 22 other House members in the 2016 cycle, more than all but 5 other House Democrats and more than any Democratic House member from Illinois. And she also got backing from J Street, one of the most anti-Israel Super PACs in the country. Meanwhile, I took on Wall Street by cosponsoring the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 which sought a full audit of the Federal Reserve. And when Wall Street has been getting rich helping Chinese companies raise money on U.S. stock exchanges, without those firms being required to meet basic U.S. standards for transparency, I introduce a bill that gave any foreign firm three years to make their audits available to U.S. regulators or face increased disclosure requirements if they don’t comply, which would delist them from U.S. exchanges. And bunder the Obama Administration, special interests got special breaks and lobbyists got loopholes but the TCJA that Senator Duckworth opposed eliminated special interest deduction and closed loopholes. The fact of the matter is that my political engagement's purpose, as I displayed time and again, is to fight for the American people, not the special interests that are backing my opponent instead of fighting for the interests of the people of America.

Duckworth 2 : What is dishonest here is Senator Duckworth's claims about my record and agenda on that issue and on such kind of programs. By funding and promoting maternity group homes like we are proposing, we're going to ensure that those comprehensive services will teach parenting skills, child development, family budgeting and health and nutrition and MGH projects will be able to incorporate the principles of Positive Youth Development and administer services such as child-safe transitional and independent living accommodations; education in parenting, child discipline and safety; mental, physical, and reproductive health care; resources to help youth identify reliable, affordable child care; money management and use of credit. And the promotion of abstinence programs will help teach children and adolescents to abstain from sexual activity, and that this is the only certain method of avoiding pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and also avoid potential abortions among teenagers, but these are all policies that Senator Duvkworth repeatedly opposed in the Senate. And what you've just heard from Senator Duckworth on paid family leave is completely false, I voted in favor of paid family leave. In fact in 2019, I worked with Senator Romney and Congressmen Wagner and Crenshaw to sponsor the New Parents Act that created a voluntary option for paid parental leave by allowing parents to use a portion of their Social Security after the birth or adoption of a child. That is the best way to reduce abortions, to promote life and to fight for everyday Americans instead of using taxpayers' money to fund a special interest like Planned Parenthood funding abortions like Senator Duckworth wants to do.

Duckworth wins debate on debate night; Rubio releases statement of "full answers" due to frequent cutting off by debate moderators

Senator Tammy Duckworth has been judged to have won the first presidential debate by a majority of viewers, 55% to 42% for Vice President Marco Rubio. However, the debate had a recurring theme of the Vice President, who has been known for his long-winded, detailed, and comprehensive statements and answers in the past, being cut off by the debate moderators, with his being unable to completely give a single one of his answers. Because of this, the Vice President released a list of "full answers," stating "the mainstream media may attempt to aid Senator Duckworth by the unproductive silencing of conservative opinions, as I discussed on that very stage, and I did, I might add, actually manage to get that out, but I have no intention of keeping quiet when they are so blatant about it." Neither debate moderator was willing to comment.

Vice presidential debate looms as James, Gallego ready to show their mettle before the country

The vice presidential debate between Senator John James of Michigan and Governor Ruben Gallego of Arizona is scheduled for October 24 and promises to be a fearsome clash between two candidates both considered rising stars in their parties. Senator James, when asked for comment on the conduct of the first debate, agreed with the Vice President that "there is clear censorship going on here," while Gallego stated "It's a debate. You answer the question, you don't give a speech on the issue." The debate will be held at Baylor University in Waco, Texas.

"Roe riots" quiet in the capital as protests across the nation continue

Washington police released an official statement that "The violence in the capital appears to have finally died down. We would like to thank our brave men and women out there for working overtime and with great respect for the life and safety of both themselves and the protesters, a position made all the harder by both the contentiousness of the situation and the opposing camps' lack of regard for the same." Despite this, however, peaceful protests of the decision continue both in Washington and across the nation, with turnout, the DNC and Planned Parenthood have claimed, in the millions.

Kim Yo-Jong rebukes Japanese news outlet for "kidnapping and coercion" after escaped political prisoner tells all

Kim Yo-Jong, leader of North Korea, responded angrily to reports from The Japan Times that an escaped political prisoner (not one of those released by the Kim regime) had agreed to tell all about the North Korean political prison system, going into grand detail about much of the torture and mistreatment that, according to him (he refused to be identified out of fear of recapture and execution "by unspeakable means"), is continuing under the new Supreme Leader. Kim has called for the report to be expunged, claiming "it is a collection of falsehoods and slanders concocted by the enemies of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea in order to weaken our newfound standing with the West," and accusing the Times of "kidnapping and coercion" regarding the prisoner's statement. The Times has insisted the prisoner escaped and came to them of his own free will. While one can certainly speculate, which narrative is likely to be true is uncertain given the individual will remain "unidentified and in Japanese custody for the forseeable future."

Worker's Party wins landslide parliamentary re-election as allegations arise of government tampering

In the "free" elections held in the Democratic People's Republic, the Workers' Party of Korea won a landslide re-election, scoring 576 of the 687 seats in the Supreme People's Assembly. The Social Democrats, in second, scored 100, and independents took 9, while the Democratic Popular Conservative Party, a new party founded in the wake of the declaration of free elections, won only 2 seats. Immediately following the results, reports began to circulate that the government may have tampered with the results, allowing the Workers' Party to win by such a massive margin. The Kim regime, in response, claimed that "once again anti-Korean forces are at work to disparage us in the eyes of the wider world; these elections were free and fair." Some outside observers have suggested there may be some credence to these statements, stating that "the North Korean people may simply be too traumatized from the authoritarian years to feel safe voting for any party that wasn't approved of by the old powers." Which of these narratives is true, only time will tell.

Istantinople states it will not raise armed forces until 2030

The newly formed Municipal Republic of Istantinople made a statement today in response to questions of how its military would function, given the ethnic and religious tensions that have forced thousands of UN peacekeepers to restore calm to the city-state. It was stated "The Municipal Republic of Istantinople has decided that no military shall be developed until such time as her leaders feel secure in the tolerance of her two key citizen groups toward each other. This shall be no earlier than January 1, 2030." The United Nations has stated it will keep forces in the young nation "as long as proves necessary."

China bombarded with cyberattacks of varying severity; President reportedly outraged after screensaver changed to photo of his face Photoshopped onto Winnie the Pooh drawing

Various hacker groups have launched attacks on the Chinese government following its announcement it would be reinstating the social credit system earlier this month. Said groups had warned of a likely salvo should the People's Republic refuse to cease its behavior with regards to social credit, a "system of censorship and oppression that would make Orwell blush." Currently confirmed to have been attacked are the Chinese government's website (which now reads "Hong Kong shall be free once more" in 107 languages on the homepage), several Chinese media outlets (which now report stories from Western news organizations, as well as stories developed by the attackers, such as "Chinese government proven incompetent in bid to protect self, other instruments of tyranny from outside attack." The social credit system has also been reported to be "severely damaged," and the Chinese military has been forced to repeatedly deny that it is no longer in control of its nuclear arsenal, a rumor propagated on Chinese social media (many of these sites also having been hacked; memes sporting the common slogan "Turn Over Putin" have been rampant since the attacks began). However, amusingly, the most enraging incident for President Xi may prove to be far more personal; according to reports from a source close to the President's office, one intrepid hacker broke into Xi's own computer and changed the screensaver to a photo of the President's face Photoshopped onto a drawing of the children's character Winnie the Pooh, whom Xi has been commonly derisively compared to in the past. "He [the President] was apoplectic when he saw it. I don't think I've ever seen him that purely enraged before." Beijing has declined to comment, stating "there is no evidence at this time to suggest that these slaves of the capitalist, Western despots will not seek to replace our words with those of their own devising, perhaps by means of hacking their own press...if they do not do so already."

(If there were any follow-ups/additional news stories I missed, please let me know.)

VICE PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE 2024
Wallace: Good evening. I'm Chris Wallace of Fox News.

Maddow: And I'm Rachel Maddow of MSNBC.

Wallace: And we are here at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, to bring you the vice presidential debate of this election cycle.

Maddow: Indeed we are. Now, we have here tonight the two main contenders for Vice President, Senator John James and Governor Ruben Gallego.

Wallace: Each candidate will give an opening statement, answer three general and two personal questions, and give a closing statement. With that established, let's begin:

General 1:
Hacker groups such as Anonymous have crippled the Chinese government with a cyber barrage in recent days. If such an attack struck the United States in the event you had previously become President, how would you defend against it?

General 2:
The courts have ruled in one of the most consequential decisions of this decade. We've heard the opinions of Vice President Rubio and Senator Duckworth on this matter. Now, what are each of your responses to this issue?

General 3:
Despite recent studies suggesting a vice presidential candidate from a key swing state is often inconsequential to the results of said states, both of you are from states that are expected to be critical next month. Do you believe this played a factor in your selection, or was it completely independent of this?

James 1:
Like Senator Duckworth, you are a veteran of the campaigns in the Middle East. If elected, how do you intend to work with Vice President Rubio to ensure greater stability in the region?

James 2:
As well, you have been a successful businessman in your home state of Michigan. Do you believe this success will have a similar effect to that of President Trump in helping your ticket toward victory?

Gallego 1:
In the same way as Senator James, you too served in the Middle East, achieving the rank of corporal in the U.S. Marines. How would you lend your experience to Senator Duckworth in assisting with the drafting of Middle East policy?

Gallego 2:
With the striking down of Roe v. Wade, some conservatives are beginning to question the possibility of a similar fate for Obergefell v. Hodges. You have a 100% rating from the Human Rights Commission. As Vice President, how would you work with Senator Duckworth to ensure this fate does not befall LGBTQ+ individuals?

(Debate responses will be due at the end of the turn.)

Pennsylvania is a remarkable example of the fact that free enterprise an tax reform is the best way to grow this economy and create jobs and that is a philosophy that Tammy Duckworth doesn't believe in her quest to raise taxes and to punish success instead of celebrating it like we do in a free democratic republic like America. Pennsylvania is home to fifty Fortune 500 companies, including six in Philadelphia and eight in Pittsburgh (including U.S. Steel, PPG Industries, and H.J. Heinz). Hershey is home to The Hershey Company, one of the largest chocolate manufacturers in the world. And GE Transportation's main manufacturing facility is located right here in Erie. We understand that free enterprise and businesses create jobs but Senator Duckworth doesn't believe that. She wants to roll back the tax reform policies that we adopted in the last 8 years, increase your taxes, which will deprive you and hard-working families of their hard-earned money and make America a hard place to do business and ship jobs and businesses overseas. So that means that Pennsylvania will be deprived of those businesses that represent the life blood of its economy and prosperity. That is a bad policy for Pennsylvania.

Senator Duckworth has forgotten time after time after time that in history, Democrats were once champions of tax cuts. Zell Miller of Georgia, a Democrat, was a tax-cut Governor. He cut the income tax three times and abolished the sales tax on groceries, which represented a $1 billion in tax relief for Georgia families. He cut income taxes by 15 % and he supported the elimination of the marriage penalty and the estate tax and he understood that the best tax cut we could give to our children is to use the budget surplus to pay down the national debt. As a result, Georgia’s economy boomed and the state’s unemployment rate under Zell Miller’s governorship has been reduced from 6.9 % to 3.6 %. Governor Joe Manchin, a Democrat, who is endorsing my campaign, cut taxes throughout his time as Governor of West Virginia and advocated the repeal of the Death Tax, which reduced West Virginia's unemployment rate to below 4.5 %. President John F. Kennedy, a Democrat, cut taxes during his presidency. And guess what happened : the economy boomed. Kennedy's tax-cut policies encouraged job creation and increased wages for American workers through an expansion of the GDP by an average of 5.5 % from early 1961 to late 1963, through a decline of inflation to 1 %, through a decline of the unemployment rate from 6.6 % to below 4 % from 1961 to 1967, through a rise of industrial production by 15 % and a rise of motor vehicle sales rose by 40 %. But Tammy Duckworth voted against Permanently Extending The Federal Tax Deduction For State And Local Sales Taxes, against extending tax deductions, against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act that reduced taxes on small businesses even though they create 7 out of 10 jobs in America. She voted against the elimination of the inheritance tax and voting in favor of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax and she voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act despite the fact that it provided the strong economy America is now living through the creation of 7 and a half million new jobs, reduced taxes for the middle-class and created Opportunity Zones that offered tax incentives for businesses to invest in economically distressed communities, making them a powerful vehicle for economic growth and job creation, jumpstart our American communities, create momentum for economic recovery, and attract investment to diverse areas across our nation. No wonder that Senator Duckworth is no Jack Kennedy.

But the tax cuts and free enterprise policies adopted in the last 8 years helped growing this economy thanks to my effort to double the Child Tax Credit, by cutting taxes on the American people, including the middle-class and lower income Americans, and making America the best place in the world to do business. And our GDP Annual Growth rate consistently reached above 2 % and even reached 3 %. And that is why small businesses like Guy Chemical, that is headquartered in Somerset, Pennsylvania, gave bonuses and pay raises and purchased new equipment and created new jobs. That's how small businesses like Rockford Ball Screw, a small business headquartered in Senator Duckworth's home state of Illinois, hired new employees and expanded their facilities by 30,000 feet because our tax-cut policies reduced small businesses's fiscal burden. That's how Advanced Superabrasives in North Carolina invested in workforce training and gave employees three separate pay raises. That's why Hinee Gourmet Coffee in Texas gave employee raises, increased employee benefits, and upgraded equipment. That's why WebHobby Shop in Michigan raised employee wages, expanded its operations and created jobs. That's why WebHobby Shop in Michigan, Industrial Weldors & Machinists in Minnesota, Industrial Weldors & Machinists in Minnesota and Deckscapes in Virginia are expanding operations, increasing wages, providing new benefits, and hiring more employees. And those are policies that added 7 and a half million new jobs in the economy, reduced our unemployment rate at its lowest rate in 5 decades, brought the Hispanic, African-American, Asian and youth unemployment rate at their lowest rates ever. Those policies helped our manufacturing industry to thrive again by creating 500 000 new manufacturing jobs, including 13 000 here in the great state of Pennsylvania, 25 000 in Ohio, 18 000 in Michigan and 11 000 in Wisconsin. Me and John James formed the best economic team America has ever known. In the Senate I co-sponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. I led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, which helped pass the TCJA and provide the results coming from that pro-growth legislation. I served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I passed legislation that protected the interests of U.S. small businesses, reduced their fiscal burden and taxes on them and reinforced their ability to compete, to grow, to expand, to sell, to produce and to create jobs, contributing to the prosperity our country is now living. John James is a successful businessman who ran companies and created jobs as CEO of the James Group International in Michigan by managing and optimizing this business' customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes by designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. He grew the company into a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry and he served as Detroit Mayor Duggan’s Workforce Development Council. If you elect us at the White House, we will pursue America's economic growth and prosperity by keeping taxes low, cutting middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, getting America to energy independence by producing more energy here at home and taking advantage of all of our souces of energy, including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, tide, hydroelectric, etc. And instead of doing so by sacrificing taxpayers' hard-earned money like Senator Duckworth wants to do, we will invest in renewable energy with a part of the revenues from oil drilling in order to encourage both economic growth and an improvement of America's ecological footprint and a clean environment at the same time. That way, we will be more free from foreign energy, including those from unstable countries in throes of anti-American forces, so we can make our country safer and more prosperous. Meanwhile, Senator Duckworth would keep handing money to terrorists through deeper dependence on foreign energy through our imports of energy from those unstable countries, which will embolden our enemies and give them all the necessary capitals and war effort to do America harm. For the sake of America's competitiveness in the world economy, we're going to expand free trade with our friends and allies in Europe, Latin America and Asia in order to counter-balance China's trade power and to ensure strong job creation here in America by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading and allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. We're going to advance the development of infrastructures here in America by reducing the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That infrastructure plan along with the investment of a part of future budget surpluses in infrastructures will encourage economic activities all across this country favor the implementation of new businesses here in America, thus favoring further job creation, growth, opportunity and prosperity. And to encourage the creation of the jobs of tomorrow, we will champion school choice, which will cost families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. It will grant parents the power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere. It will expand opportunities for low-income students—especially minorities—to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, thus increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce. We’ll also tax breaks for individuals and companies that donate to school scholarship funds or help parents who home-school their children, which will expand elementary, secondary, and vocational education opportunities for students in addition of provide training for postsecondary students and workers seeking to gain new skills and advance their career through career and technical education, apprenticeships, certifications and other forms of workforce training. We’re going to remove barriers to qualified instructors, attract and reward good teachers. That way, we're going to make it certain that our children, including my children, will have all the tools and the skills that they need to succeed in the best schools in the world and give them a fair chance to succeed in life by opening to them all the doors that were closed to previous generations, which will favor the creation of the jobs of tommorrow and ensure an even stronger economy.

That's why I'm asking for your vote, Pennsylvania, so we can win this election and bring strong, qualified and experienced leadership at the White House, leadership that will lead America to full-employment, ensure long-term economic prosperity for all Americans, ensure that our children and grandchildren will be the most prosperous generations of Americans that ever lived and preserve and expand the American Dream as well as America's status as the land of opportunity.

Thank you. God bless you. God bless Pennsylvania and God bless the United States of America.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to portray Tammy Duckworth as weak on terrorism and national security and appeal among voters who selected foreign policy and national security as the most important issue, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad featuring a cougar to parallel global terrorism and calling for a strong and vigilant America against the threat represented by radical Islamic terrorism for the sake of solid national security and global peace.

Title : Cougar

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Cougar ad narration :

Own creation; Own creation
Narrator : In the mountainous deserts of the West, there is a cougar waiting in the weeds, just like jihadists are preparing to attack at anytime around the world.

Own creation
For some people, it is a deadly and dangerous predator, some refuse to even speak its name.

Own creation; Own creation
On the cougar’s territory, we can’t afford to lack vigilance just like we can't afford to lower our guard against radical Islamic terrorism like Tammy Duckworth and the liberals in Congress did even after ISIS’ first attack on America (referring to the ISIS attack in Garland, Texas on May 2015) when they voted time and again in favor of deep cuts in the military, supported a deal handing billions of dollars to a country that was the world’s largest state-sponsor of global terrorism (which gave the old Iranian regime the necessary capitals to provide funding and weapons to terrorist organizations), voted against arming and training the Kurds (referring to a 2014 bill providing arsenal, equipment and military training to the Kurds who played a major role in defeating ISIS in Syria and Iraq) and voted to slash America’s intelligence operations in June 2015 by supporting a bill prohibiting the bulk collection of data, thus weakening America’s defenses.

Own creation
And weakness attracts those who are waiting to do America harm, like it happened six months later when terrorists attacked us again in San Bernardino (because we did not have access to records, information and other items under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act that would have allowed us to identify these killers before they attacked) and then in Orlando (where the deadliest terrorist attack on the U.S. soil since 9/11 occured).

[The ad features the cougar preparing to pounce on his next defenseless prey]

Source(s) : Own creation; Own creation; Own creation
Since the cougar seeks our destruction, isn’t it wise to be as strong as the cougar by giving America all the necessary tools to keep our country safe and do whatever it takes to remove the threat facing America and its allies (which is how we defeated ISIS in the Middle East, eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and got the world to the denuclearization of Iran in the last 8 years)?

-Campaign in Winston-Salem, NC
GOTV rally speech at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in the context of the beginning of the early voting period in that state :

Own creation
Thank you, North Carolina. Now we are at a very important point of this campaign : early voting started in North Carolina. So for those who are still wondering who to vote for, it is absolutely crucial to note the great progress that America has made in the last 8 years, to note the fundamental differences between Senator Duckworth and myself and who is the most qualified to lead America and move it forward.

Eight years ago, this economy was living its slowest pace in history because of the big government tax-hike job-killing policies imposed by the Obama Administration and supported by Tammy Duckworth. Our GDP annual growth rate was stuck under 2 % in the last months of the previous administration. Over 300 000 manufacturing jobs were lost, including 45 000 in Pennsylvania, 37 000 in Ohio and 18 000 in Wisconsin. The Hispanic unemployment rate has hit one of its highest rates in history and the youth unemployment rate its highest level in our nation’s history. Here we are, 8 years later, our economy is prospering, we created 7 and a half million new jobs, we brought our nation's unemployment at its lowest rate in more than 50 years, the unemployment rate among Hispanics, the one among African-Americans, among Asian-Americans and among young people are now at their lowest rate ever recorded and the middle-class is now stronger than ever before and they now have more money in their pocket. In addition, Latino-owned businesses now make up more than 10 percent of all businesses in the United States, providing jobs for more than 2 million American workers.  These businesses contributed nearly half a trillion dollars to our economy in 2018 alone. Latinos are also starting new businesses at three times the national average. Why? Because we cut taxes and regulations, passed policies encouraging energy production. And the successful renegotiation of NAFTA as well as the ratification of the USMCA that I supported in the U.S. Senate, we boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made in one of the 3 signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. As a result, we added 76 000 auto jobs in the last 5 years, increased exports and imports and strengthened our competitiveness in the world economy, contributing to the strong economic prosperity America is now living. That is part of the reasons why we added 500 000 manufacturing jobs in the economy in the last 8 years.

But unfortunately, Tammy Duckworth voted against the tax-cut and free enterprise policies that we adopted in that period of time. She voted against Permanently Extending The Federal Tax Deduction For State And Local Sales Taxes even though the Tax Foundation reported that it would lead to the creation of 150,000 jobs and would increase federal tax receipts by $8 billion. My opponent also voted against extending tax deductions, against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act even though small businesses create 70 % of the jobs in America. She opposed the elimination of the inheritance tax and voting in favor of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax and she voted against the TCJA that provided the strong economy that our country is now living thanks to the promotion of tax reform, middle-class tax reductions and free enterprise. She claims the TCJA that she described as, quote, « scam » is crushing lower-income Americans. Let's take a look at the reality. The TCJA actually helped low-income communities through the creation of Opportunity Zones that offered tax incentives for businesses to invest in economically distressed communities, making them a powerful vehicle for economic growth and job creation, jumpstart our American communities, create momentum for economic recovery, and attract investment to diverse areas across our nation. So is Senator Duckworth seriously saying that investing in economically distressed communities is scam? If she’s elected, she will spoil the progress of the last 8 years by raising taxes and regulations on you and on hardworking families and businesses and on the middle-class, cancel those investments in lower-income communities, cost your jobs, ship businesses overseas and make us more dependent on foreign energy. She simply doesn't have the experience and knowledge to handle and manage the economy and get it growing.

But on the other hand, I know what it takes to get the job done on that issue. In the Senate, co-sponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. I led the effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, which helped pass the TCJA and provide the results coming from that pro-growth legislation. I chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, passing legislation that reduced taxes on small businesses for the sake of their competitiveness, productivity and to reinforce their ability to expand, to innovate, to sell and to create good-paying jobs. And John James, my running mate, and America's next Vice-President, has ran his family supply-chain business and created jobs. And together, we will keep taxes low, expand America's status as the best place in the world to do business, cut taxes for the middle-class from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, get America to energy independence by producing more energy here at home so we can be more free from foreign energy, including those from unstable countries in throes of anti-American forces, so we can make our country safer and more prosperous. That requires taking advantage of all of our own sources of energy, including oil, gas coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, tide, hydroelectric, etc. That is what we’re going to do by encouraging more oil drilling and production, by using a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing so with taxpayers’ money, like Senator Duckworth wants to do. So the energy policy that we propose will favor both job creation and a clean environment. We're also going to make America number one in nuclear energy export and production by building 40 new nuclear power plants in America by 2050, by approving tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for the building of new nuclear power plants to further improve the American people's access to heat, encourage more job creation and improve our ecological footprint. We're going to promote free trade for the sake of America's competitiveness in the world economy through the ratification of free trade agreements with our allies and friends in Europe, Latin America and in the Asia-Pacific region to counter-balance China's trade power and to ensure strong job creation by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading and allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments.

On health care, Senator Duckworth just doesn't get it. She supports Obamacare's failures that cut $716 billion in Medicare, was bailing out big pharmaceutical companies with hardworking families' money and thus deprived them of their health care coverage and cancelled the health insurance of millions of Americans against their will. But our healthcare plan will will protect pre-existing conditions and allow small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which will be less expansive for employers than group plans, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem will result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them (which will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs) and will also allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts.

For too long, our veterans have been left behind while they desperately needed decent social services and job-training programs in order to improve their living conditions and make sure they earn decent post military service careers. Yet, under Tammy Duckworth's tenure, the Illinois Department of Veterans Affairs cut funding for POW/MIA scholarships by $1 million, thus depriving veterans of services and of the scholarships they need to earn a decent career and to accomplish their American Dream. That is a huge contrast with my record that introduced and passed the MilCon-VA bill providing meaningful funding for veterans programs and military construction projects across Florida. I co-sponsored the AGREE Act that expanded tax credits and exemptions for businesses investing in R & D, equipment and other capital, gave tax credits for veterans starting a business franchise. And I got passed the 2014 VA reform law that the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. And together in the Senate, Senator James (who served in the US Army in Iraq) and I worked to co-sponsor the Supporting Veterans in STEM Careers Act that helped veterans re-entering the workforce get jobs in STEM-related fields by requiring the Office of Science and Technology Policy to coordinate programs to train and transition military veterans for jobs in science, technology, engineering and math. And it’s in the aftermath of our troops’ return to America from Syria that the Veterans Care Financial Protection Act of 2022 has been adopted, making the federal Department of Veterans Affairs work with state and federal agencies to stop con men who are diverting federal aid away from veterans. So my fellow Americans, we have taken care of our veterans more than any administration preceding us. And when I'm President, I will eliminate the income tax on military retirement income and invest a part of budget surpluses in the development of new social security and job training programs for our veterans to make sure they will earn the best post-military service they can ever imagine. That way, their courage, their service and their patriotism will be honored forever.

Eight years ago, because of the weak foreign policy of the previous administration, including deep cuts in the military and in intelligence operations that Senator Duckworth supported, America and its allies became easier targets for ISIS that have conquered a large territory in the Middle East. Our allies have been attacked in Paris, Nice and Brussels and we have been attcked by these barbarians in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando. Yet, despite the seriousness of the threat represented by ISIS, Senator Duckworth opposed airstrikes against this terrorist organization in addition of supporting the Iran nuclear deal that handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world's largest state sponsor of global terror, voted against prohibiting the transfer of Guantanamo terrorists to any foreign country even though such transfers could have allowed them to escape, to be on the run once again, to return to terrorism and to orchestrate even more attacks on us and our allies like it happened with Said Ali al-Shiri. Despite the fact that the Kurds played a major role in defeating ISIS in Syria and Iraq, Senator Duckworth voted against providing military arsenal, training and equipment - including combat vehicles, ammunition, body armors, etc. - to the Kurds who couldn't have defeated these terrorists without the equipment, skills and arsenal they earned from the first military power on Earth. In 2015, even though it has been reported by a German spy agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, that ISIS jihadists were sneaking within the Syrian refugees to commit terrorist attacks in Europe and here in America and after Syrian passports were found near the bodies of two of the perpetrators at two attack sites at the November 2015 ISIS attacks in Paris, Senator Duckworth voted against the SAFE Act that expanded background checks for Syrian and Iraqi refugees applying for admission to the United States. But 47 of her fellow Democrats in the House of Representatives put America's national security first before partisanship by supporting that bill. Kyrsten Sinema voted yes. Jared Polis voted yes. Gwen Graham voted yes. Patrick Murphy, my former opponent for Senate in 2016, voted yes. Tulsi Gabbard voted yes. Dan Lipinski voted yes. Tim Ryan voted yes. But more motivated by partisan politics than about national security, Tammy Duckworth voted against that bill and she even signed on for 200 000 refugees, which is 20 times more than President Obama and which would have further increased the risk of ISIS jihadists disguising as refugees and thus putting their operatives among the refugees to come to Europe and to America and kill us as the FBI said the refugees can’t be safely screened. That is extreme and reckless and that goes in contrast with the national security concerns of the American people.

But because we rebuilt and modernized our military in the last 8 years in addition of restoring and emboldening American leadership and diplomacy, expanded our alliances, went on offense against terrorists and provided the Kurds in military training, equipment and arsenal, we defeated ISIS in Iraq and Syria and liberated all the large territory they once occupied and thanks to Operation Kayla Mueller, we decimated ISIS' core leadership. In that period of time, I passed a bill toughening sanctions on Hezbollah to prevent  Hezbollah  and  associated  entities  from  gaining  access  to  international  financial  and  other  institutions,  and for other purposes. I sponsored the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis. As Vice-President, I helped President Trump to defeat ISIS. And I was there on the ground leading the 2021 diplomatic mission that got Arsham Parsi’s Iran to denuclearize, to use their nuclear energy only for domestic purposes, to stop state-sponsored terrorism, to stand up for human rights and freedom in the world. I presided the Joint Session of Congress during Parsi’s address officially announcing the measures that I just mentioned. And that’s exactly what they did in the aftermath, strengthening security, freedom and peace in the Middle East. And we got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea. And thanks to the arsenal and training support that we provided to the Kurds and to our Middle-Eastern allies in Operation Ceasefire, we defeated Turkey and led them to recognizing Kurdistan as an independent and free nation. As President, I will lead America to final victory against terrorism, by keeping our military strong and modernizing it, strengthening and expanding our alliances,  strengthening intelligence services and intelligence partnerships with our allies, providing our Western African allies in military training and arsenal to ensure their full readiness and preparedness to handle their own security and to help them to defeat Boko Haram who attacked us last winter and assassinated Senator Thune and destroying Boko Haram key targets such as their infrastructure and their controlled oil refineries through drone strikes (which will deprive these terrorists of any revenues from oil exploitation to finance their terrorist activities and plans and any war effort), which will defeat these terrorists without needing to send additional ground troops. And to ensure long term global peace, we're going to hold a summit with Sergei Polonsky's Russia and normalize our relations with them in the first 100 days of my presidency and we will work together for the maintenance of peace and the respect of human rights around the world. We’ll develop decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration. And to complete our path to a nuclear-free world and eliminate the risk of nuclear war, I will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapon. As a member of the Foreign Relations Senate Committee, as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President, I have the experience, knowledge and leadership to keep America safe and ensure long term global peace.

My fellow Americans, the stakes of this election are too high for you to stay home. The choice of this election is either we move back to the liberal tax-hike and big government economic misery and sluggish and to the dismantling of American leadership and insecurity or we keep moving America forward through the promotion of tax reform and free enterprise and strong American leadership and the preservation of our country's status as the strongest military power in the world. We have a chance for long-term and unprecedented economic prosperity, to achieve energy independence, to get America to full-employment, to ensure permanent protection of our constitutional rights and provide long-term global peace and national security so our children can grow up free, safe and prosperous. So I call on you to come out and vote in early voting and on Election Day to cast your vote for our ticket, one of the most qualified teams ever to manage and grow our economy and to keep America safe against our enemies, in order to fight for your future and your children's future through the expansion of opportunity and of America's status as a shining city on the hill. If you cast your vote for us, the American Dream will never die and will be accessible for all Americans, America will keep moving forward and will preserve and strengthen its status as the hope of the Earth. That's why I'm asking for your vote in early voting and on Election Day to make that happen, to secure your future and your children's future and fight for it and make sure that freedom and opportunity will not falter.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless the United States of America!

Tammy Duckworth Runs Ad "True Leadership"

Marco Rubio's response to Tammy Duckworth's attacks in Battle Creek, Michigan

Once again, Senator Duckworth doesn't have the facts and she's engaging in a moodball in this time of prosperity and security and increasing global peace because she knows she can't win on economy and national security. When it comes to North Korea, the reason why we've got the election results that occured is because the North Korean people are still new to democracy and thus are still adjusting to the concept of actually free elections. The North Korean people was too traumatized from the authoritarian years to feel safe voting for any party that wasn't approved of by the old powers. So we are making progress in that process and that will be a long process. Twenty-seven years ago, we had a similar situation in Indonesia where the Golkar, the right-wing party that ruled this country for 30 years under the presidency of authoritarian President Suharto, saw its influence declining through the United Development Party (Golkar's main rival party) winning almost 100 seats. Then the opposition pushed for their own platform, challenging their ostensible coalition-mates. Then shortly after Suharto's New Order collapsed and Indonesia has free elections today. And today Indonesia is a whole of a lot better because we held free elections. The power of that concept is enormous. And it will apply in North Korea as the Social Democrats will be more likely to will be more likely to push for their own platform and less likely to bow to the Workers' Party as they won so many seats thus counter-balancing the Workers' Party's influence. So we're moving in the right direction towards a transition to democracy and human rights will be respected there. But if Senator Duckworth is elected, there won't be any amnesty for North Korea's political prisoners and they won't be allowed to travel outside the country because she doesn't have the courage to meet with both friends and adversaries. That's what FDR, JFK and Reagan did and that's how we ensured global peace and every time we won and we restored freedom and peace.

When it comes to State Department  funding, I find that strange that Senator Duckworth talks about the Trump Administration cutting funding to that Department because that is exactly what President Obama (whom Senator Duckworth has been described as her « spiritual successor ») has done during his presidency by cutting $47 billion in the State Department budget and that is why our embassy has been attacked in Benghazi where 4 brave Americans were killed by radical Islamic terrorists because the State Department rejected appeals for more security at its diplomatic posts in Libya in the months preceding the attacks. That's why the Obama Administration has failed to restore stability in Libya after Gaddaffi's fall, that's why they failed to prevent the Rohingya genocide in 2016. But under my presidency, we're going to increase the budget of the State Department for the sake of the maintenance of American leadership, to make sure we'll noramlize our relations with Sergei Polonsky's Russia, to accomplish our path to a nuclear-free world and eliminate the risk of nuclear war and to maintain the pressure on China in the context of the chaos in China related to its derailed cyber attacks against Russia.

And in her unwillingness to recognize the contributions of our allies, Senator Duckworth decided to demean and discount their contributions and their roles in our efforts to restore peace in the Korean peninsula. We're working with South Koreans, the Japanese, the Australians and the Russians in that process. Let's take a look at the 2018 inter-Korean summit when South Korea worked with North Korea to ratify the Panmunjom Declaration in which they pledged to end "hostile activities" between their nations, for the resumption of reunion meetings for divided families, to improve connections along their border, and for the cessation of propaganda broadcasts across it. That's exactly what happened. Discounting the contributions of our allies is not how leadership works. We worked with our allies and we'll keep doing so under my presidency for the sake of peace, freedom, justice and stability.

And Senator Duckworth doesn't have any credibility when it comes to Super PACs : she is supported by corporate Super PACs, including some that received $2.4 million of funding from George Soros, the 19th wealthiest person on Earth. And she received $162 372 from Wall Street and received more money from the securities and investment industry than all but 22 other House members in the 2016 cycle, more than all but 5 other House Democrats and more than any Democratic House member from Illinois. So before criticizing me on Super PACs, you better look at your own record first. And Senator Duckworth is actually the politician who is standing in the way of progress : she voted time and time again against tax cuts, standing in the way of more jobs and higher wages for the American people, including the middle-class. Even though the TCJA helped providing the thriving economy America is now living through the creation of almost 8 million jobs, through the lowest unemployment rate in 50 years, the lowest Hispanic and African American unemployment rates ever, tax reductions for the middle-class (including a 58 % reduction in federal taxes for a family of four with annual income of $73,000, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes for a single parent with one child earning $41 000 a year and a double of the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000), she voted against that legislation. She doesn't believe in free enterprise, that's why she opposed the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act despite the fact that small businesses create 7 out of 10 of the jobs in this country. She voted against the elimination of the inheritance tax and voted in favor of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax. She doesn't understand the economy. And while Senator Duckworth was on the sidelines, I displayed proven leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship where I fought to protect the interests of American small businesses and reducing their fiscal burden for the sake of a strong economy. That's how Industrial Weldors & Machinists in Minnesota, Guy Chemical Company in Pennsylvania, Hinee Gourmet Coffee in Texas, Deckscapes in Virginia, Advanced Superabrasives in North Carolina, Rockford Ball Screw in Illinois, Northwest Motor Services in Washington, WebHobby Shop in Michigan and Junk King in Nevada are expanding operations, increasing wages, providing new benefits, and hiring more employees in the last 8 years. And the continuation of a growing economy also requires reducing taxes for the middle-class, something Senator Duckworth opposed. We're going to do that by reducing their tax rate from 22 % to 15 % and preserving our country's status as the best place in the world to do business. And Senator Duckworth also stood in the way of progress by fighting to weaken our military as well as American leadership by supporting deep cuts in the military and in homeland security, which gave us ISIS as well as terrorist attacks on the U.S. soil as we saw in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando. And if Senator Duckworth really knew what true leadership works, she would have supported that bill providing equipment, arsenal and training to the Kurds to defeat ISIS in Iraq and Syria, but she didn't. If she really knew how true leadership was working, she would not have voted in favor of slashing America's intelligence operations after ISIS' attack in Garland in June 2015, but she did, thus allowing ISIS to attack us again in San Bernardino six months later. If she knew what true leadership meant, she would have welcomed the restoration of freedom and justice in Russia last winter through the election of Sergei Polonsky, but she didn't and instead she called Polonsky a puppet of President Trump in the 2024 Russian election without any evidence of such interference and attempted to impeach the President. But under this administration, we restored American leadership by rebuilding our military and expanding our alliances and going on offense against terror and that's why we defeated ISIS in the Middle East. That's why Abu Bakr al Baghdadi is dead. That's why we denuclearized Iran and North Korea. In that period of time, while Senator Duckworth was on the sideline, I led the way to enforce sanctions on Hezbollah to prevent  Hezbollah  and  associated  entities  from  gaining  access  to  international  financial  and  other  institutions,  and for other purposes. In 2019, when civil war was soaring in Venezuela, I led the way to pass the Let Freedom Reign Act to provide training and arsenal to the Venezuelan insurgents, thus helping them to defeat the Maduro regime and to get this country to democracy and freedom. When China abused its power on Hong Kong's sovereignty, I led the way to pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 and brought Republicans and Democrats together to unanimously pass that bill that required the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law. To condemn China's violation of the Uyghur's human rights, I led the way to pass the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act that established sanctions on foreign individuals responsible for human rights abuses in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region and requires certain reports on the topic. And when Iran elected a pro-American President in 2021, I led the way to officially get Iran to denuclearize and stop state-sponsoring terrorism. True leadership means doing whatever it takes to keep America safe and supporting our allies, not handing funds to global terrorism (referring to Duckworth's support to the Iran nuclear deal), not depriving America of the tools needed to defeat our enemies. And we're going to ensure long term global peace and national security by keeping American leadership strong, providing our Western African allies in military training and arsenal to help them defeat Boko Haram, which will also be done through drone airstrikes destroying Boko Haram's infrastructures and their oil refineries, by normalizing our relations with Russia for the sake of the maintenance of human rights, peace and freedom and the ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty.

So you can count on my proven leadership, on my experience and qualifications to lead America and that's why I ask for your vote because if you do, we will make the American Dream accessible for all Americans, get our country to long-term prosperity and to full-employment and get the world to final victory agaist terror, eliminate the risk of nuclear war and ensure long-term global peace through strength.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Joint rally with Gary Peters in Holland

21-25: North Carolina

Fly to Charlotte
Rally in Charlotte with Governor Cooper
Townhalls in Matthews and Rockingham
Rally in Fayetteville
“Between the reporting on conditions and practices in North Korean prisons and an election result that overwhelmingly favors the current regime, it’s clear this administration has made an error believing an authoritarian based only on their word. There’s evidence here that the only thing that’s changed in North Korea is that their government now wants to deal with the rest of the world, not that they’re suddenly conducting free and fair elections and addressing the numerous human rights violations towards their own people. Under a Rubio administration, the word of a dictator would be taken more seriously than that of an escaped political prisoner.

Let me make something clear, North Korea’s government didn’t have to change a single vote in order to tamper with their election, voter suppression and intimidation can be as effective at suppressing dissent and are just as worrying. We have to work together as an international community to put this regime’s claims under due scrutiny. I worry about the judgment exhibited by the Trump administration here, and we can’t afford mistakes like this during such a tumultuous time.

Now, Marco Rubio wants to lecture me on courage. I had the courage to fly a Black Hawk helicopter. I had the courage to be deployed to serve my country. I have the courage it takes to be President. The way the Vice President casually flings these personal insults is so telling of the influence Donald Trump has had on him, he’s become comfortable with outright insults rather than explaining his position. Don’t get distracted by the constant barrage of attacks, he’s afraid because he knows that this campaign is powered by everyday Americans not by billionaires buying influence.”

Townhalls in Elizabethtown and Northwest
Rally in Wilmington with Senator Foxx
Townhalls in Wallace and Clinton
Rally in Raleigh
Joint rallies with President Obama in Durham and Chapel Hill

26-28: Georgia

Fly to Atlanta
Joint rally with Jon Ossoff in Atlanta

"We have an opportunity to flip Georgia blue this year. The GOP has fully embraced Trumpism and all of its far-right tendencies, they're not the party we knew from a generation ago, where we could disagree on policy but trust they have the nation's best interests in mind. Now, they're appointing justices who have overturned Roe, they're asking us to believe an authoritarian regime over journalists. We have to send a message next month, we have to absolutely reject this extremism, so please vote for Jon Ossoff, we need his voice in the Senate to be sure we can move our country out of this regressive era."

Townhalls in Atlanta suburbs
Rally in Marietta

29-31: Arizona

Fly to Phoenix
Rally in Phoenix with Tom O’Halleran

"Arizona doesn't need a rubber stamp for the Trump-Rubio agenda. Arizona doesn't even need a rubber stamp for my own agenda. Arizona needs a voice as independent as the state itself, which is exactly what Tom will be. Democrats are a big tent, and we need voices like Tom's to be sure Arizona is represented by the people and not by party leaders. I need his help in providing a bold infrastructure plan, in codifying Roe once and for all, and in passing paid leave and universal childcare."

Rally in Scottsdale with Governor Gallego
Townhalls in Eloy and Marana
Joint rally in Tucson with Tom O’Halleran

Speech of Senator John James in Pittsburgh, PA – 17th October

Hello, Pittsburgh! It is an honor to be here with all of you, and I am confident that we will Pennsylvania and the election! Today, I want to talk to you about the record of bipartisanship that Marco Rubio has consistently proven. Despite the fact that liberal Democrats such as Tammy Duckworth were always as disinterested in having a real conversation and colaborating with their political adversaries as they are during this campaign, Vice President Rubio has still respected them and whenever he thought they were doing a right thing, he helped them. Because Vice President Rubio, unlike Duckworth, her fellow socialists and the CNN-MSDNC mainstream media, puts country over party.
For example, he broke party lines to approve emergency funding worth 2 billion to combat Zika virus. Most Republicans opposed this package, however Marco Rubio knew it had to be approved to save the lives of his constituents, because Florida was one of the most affected states. After the shooting in Orlando, when the socialists and the CNN-MSDNC mainstream media tried to profit off it to pass legislation violating the Second Amendment rights of Americans and do nothing about combating terrorists, Marco Rubio took action. Rubio passed the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun, ensuring that if any gun purchaser has been suspected for terror in the last decade like Omar Mateen, the FBI would be notifying that he or she has gone in to buy a gun and would have the chance to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to. He also worked with Jeanne Shaheen to sponsor the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Act of 2015 toughening sanctions on Hezbollah to diminish their ability to attack our country and our allies. This bill passed with near-unanimous support. The Vice President has even succesfully fought to convince Jim Inhofe, former Environment and Public Works Committee Chairman, to commit to authorizing the Central Everglades Planning Project in the water resources bill after years of opposition for the sake of the restoration of the Everglades. He has also sponsored the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 that requires the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law. And that bill too has been unanimously approved by lawmakers from both sides of the aisle.
Now it is obvious why Marco Rubio was ranked as one of the most bipartisan Senators when he was still serving there. And why so many moderate Democrats, who want nothing to do with the radicalism and extreme partisanship of Tammy Duckworth, are supporting the Vice President. So let us all come together, Republicans and Democrats, to defeat the radical left and its divisive ways by electing Marco Rubio for President! Thank you!

Ruben Gallego debate responses

"Well first, I want to thank Chris and Rachel for hosting tonight and i want to thank Baylor University for hosting us. It's an honour to be here debating Senator James tonight.

This year has been a transformative one in American politics; and we have a number of challenges to face. Climate change, infrastructure, and an explosion of violence in the Middle East. The Democratic Party, united behind Senator Duckworth, is best suited to seeing America rise to these callenges, much as President Obama and Vice president Biden did in 2009 after Great Recession brought on by the big banks power players.

We are comitted to cleaning up Washington, cutting out the influence of corporate lobbyists, and fighting for our middle and working classes."

1: "Our first order of usiness is always to have strong cybersecurity. When we talk about cutting back on military spending, we don't want to slash half of their budget like Republicans say we do. We want to reform the way defense money is spent and cut it where it is being spent inefficiently. There is an emphasis on style over substance in military spending, mainly because it makes for a good photo ope to stand next to 500 unused tanks in Nevada and say that evil Democrats didn't want these tanks. The pEntagon didn't want them either, but I digress.

Substance involves actualy grunt work Realising that warfare is no longer what it was in the 1940s. Now, you can disable an entire country's infrastructure with the internet. We are comitted to ensuring that the US can meet this new battlefield through the development of smart cybersecurity solutions, unencumbered by the influence of defense contracting lobbyists."

2: "Aside from a woman's right to choose, the Republicans fail to realise that this decision will not end abortion in this country single-handedly, and that is a proven fact. In 1966 for example, Nicolae Ceausescu, outlawed abortion in Romania. It was for a completely different reason, I'll grant you, but the effect was the same. What happened? By 1989, it was reported that over 100,000 women had died from having back-alley abortions carried out, and the actual death count is likely far higher. It disproportinately affected low-income areas. Senator James, who in 2019 referred to Roe v. Wade as genocide, does not or refuses to understand this.

This is a health issue, plain and simple. Overturning this decision was an egregious oversight, made in ignorance of the actal issues, and it involved a Justice who said when he was confirmed that he would, quote 'Make Democrats' lives hell', unquote.

3: "I don't doubt that being frm Arizona played a part in me being selectewd as Senator Duckworth's running mate, but there were a multitude of factors at play. We had a strong progressive campaign in the primaries from Senator Merkley, and my status and being on the progressive wing has hopefully reassured his supporters.

The biggest factor i think was that I bring six years of executive experience to the ticket. I've been the Governor of Arizona since 2018, and I bring lessons learned from my time as governor, and won't need on-the-job training"

Gallego 1: "I'm the first to admit that my experience was largely as a Marine on the ground, in the fighting. I lost my best friend there.

What I bring tp Middle East policy is my experience with the House Armed Services Committee. I understand the nuances of military policy in a way Senator James does not. As I said earlier, Republicans are obsessed with style over subtance when it comes to the military. I would rather ensure that our military is used judiciously and rarely in bringing about a peace conference.

At the end of the day, I prefer to use diplomacy because that means fewer peple die."

Gallego 2: "I will stand against any attempt to infringe on the Constitutional right for people to marry who they want. Governor Polis warned us about this at the start of the campaign, and he was laughed off.

Make no mistake, Senator Duckworth, myself and the entire Democratic Party will fight for the rights of the LGBT population."

Closing statment: "It is not secret that President Trump has polarised this country greatly over the last eight years. We now have a President and Vice President who openly claim that news networks are an arm of the Democratic Party and refers to them as fake news whenever they say something the administration finds inconvenient. We have a a Republican ticket that instead of trying to explain their wildly contradictory views on the scientific fact of climate change, simply shouts 'socialist' as if it's an instant knockout punch.

Thank you again Rachel and and Chris for your excellent moderation tonight and to the University of Baylor for hosting us. Goodnight."

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among voters who selected foreign policy as the most important issue, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad attacking Tammy Duckworth on her falsely calling Sergei Polonsky a puppet of President Trump in the 2024 Russian election despite the potentials of Polonsky on global peace and stability and describing Rubio’s as the most prepared to work with allies, including Polonsky’s Russia, to strengthen global peace.

Title : Opportunity for Peace

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska’s 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Opportunity for Peace ad narration :

Narrator : For a quarter-century, Vladimir Putin’s Russia has been challenging us on the world stage and has represented a threat to global peace and freedom.

In the United Nations, Russia used its veto power to stop us and our allies from protecting our national security interests and from protecting liberty around the world.

In 2008, Russia invaded Georgia. Six years later, they also invaded Ukraine and supported a pro-Russian insurgency in Eastern Ukraine, killing thousands of Ukrainians, annexing Crimea, violating Ukraine’s territorial integrity and threatening stability and peace in Eastern Europe. In response to that, we provided military training and material to our allies in the region. In 2019, Russia hacked our country’s infrastructure. In 2021, they captured 2 Japanese Navy vessels and engaged in a territorial dispute with Japan for the control of the Kuril Islands and so we reinforced our navy’s presence there to counter Russia’s aggression and to ensure Japan’s sovereignty on this archipelago as Japan is the first country between the two territorial claimants to have occupied these islands in history. We also increased sanctions against Russia, including against Russia's military-industrial complex in order to further diminish Russia's military power.

Throughout the last 20 years, Russia has engaged in an arms race against us as they added 26 MIRVed missiles that carry up to 10 missiles each, EW systems on X-101, X-102 and KH-102 cruise missiles carried by strategic bombers and deployed the Avangard hypersonic nuclear missile in 2020, thus violating the New START Treaty. Putin’s regime eliminated free press and is oppressing it’s the Russian people, put civilians in jail, or worse, sentenced them to death for protesting and speaking out against Putin, including in the last 2 years in the context of civilian protests in Russia mobilized by increasing inflation there and injustices caused by Putin’s tyranny and insanity.

But a new age has begun, an age of freedom, justice and integrity over oppression, threat and escalation. Isolationist Sergei Polonsky massively won the recent Russian presidential election, which put an end to tyranny and fear. Polonsky's election to the presidency of Russia means strong global peace, imminent liberation of Eastern Europe. It also led to the restoration of stability, peace and freedom in the Middle East as Polonsky pulled out Russian troops from Turkey, which partly contributed to our Middle Eastern allies' victory over Erdogan's Turkey in Operation Ceasefire and to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent and sovereign nation.

But throughout this year, including last winter when Polonsky made significant progress in the Russian election at the point of putting an end to tyranny and terror in Russia, and including when freedom in Russia is being under assault from China's cyber-attacks advocating for the restoration of Putin's regime, Tammy Duckworth and her party colleagues called Sergei Polonsky a puppet of President Trump in the Russian presidential election even though there isn't any evidence of such interference by Washington in that election. And they took on the occasion to try to impeach President Trump. So Senator Duckworth is more worried about partisan politics and about impeaching the President than about an adversary's use of power against us (referring to referring to the Putin regime’s escalation with America in terms of military power, its veto power against America’s national security interests and its invasion of countries like Ukraine, Georgia as well as to the 2016 attempted coup by Russian nationalists in Montenegro).

Unlike Senator Duckworth, Marco Rubio will treat our allies with respect, work and collaborate with them and expand our alliances for the sake of peace and security. He will do so by holding a summit with Polonsky to normalize our relations with Moscow in the first 100 days of his presidency. He and Polonsky will work to dismantle dangerous Russian nuclear weapons that are representing a threat to global peace, we will work to ratify of the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty in order to prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapon. They will work to form a US-Russia Cybersecurity Unit to counter China's cyber-attacks in order to ensure the preservation and maintenance of freedom and democracy in Russia and to protect international infrastructures, including our infrastructures against China's cyber warfare, thus derailing any attempt by China to restore Putin's tyranny and opression or any kind of dictatorship regime over Russia. Under a Rubio Administration, America and Russia will be strong partners for the maintenance of peace, including in the Middle East, in Europe and in the Pacific and they will work together to ensure the respect of human rights around the world. They will be strong partners for the development of decent trade relations between our two countries for the sake of our prosperity and peaceful collaboration.

In a time in which Donald Trump and Marco Rubio led our country to victory against ISIS and got us to a nuclear-free world (referring to the denuclearization of North Korea and Iran) thanks to strong American leadership, we are living times of great opportunity for long term global peace, an opportunity we can't miss and that's why Marco Rubio needs your vote. As a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President of the United States, he has the best foreign policy experience to keep America safe, to work with our allies and expand our alliances, to normalize our relations with Russia and to efficiently fight to expand and maintain peace through strength around the world and thanks to those skills, we will guarantee that our children and grandchildren will grow up in a world in which they will know peace, security, stability, freedom and prosperity.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to win among moderate/mainstream Democrats and Independent voters, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad narrating his record of bi-partisanship throughout his political career to emphasize on Rubio’s record, willingness and readiness to work with both Republicans and Democrats together in order to get things done and move this country forward.

After the deadliest terrorist attack on the U.S. soil since 9/11, while Democrats tried to politicize this radical Islamic terrorist attack to promote gun control, he sponsored and passed the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act which allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun, ensuring that if any gun purchaser has been suspected for terror within the previous 10 years like Omar Mateen (until he was no longer under investigation, which made him able to buy a gun), the FBI would be notifying that he or she has gone in to buy a gun and would have the chance to stop that sale and to investigate what the person in question is up to.

Marco Rubio was among the 22 Republican senators who broke with their party majority in their support to the approval of a $2 billion emergency funding to combat the Zika virus while Florida accounted for 20% of the recorded cases of Zika in the U.S.

He worked hard getting Jim Inhofe, former Environment and Public Works Senate Committee Chairman, to commit to authorizing the Central Everglades Planning Project in the water resources bill and to feature the Everglades as one of the reasons why we needed to pass the water bill. And he also helped secure funds and resources for the for Everglades restoration so we make sure that in the years to come our children and grandchildren can have the same wonderful memories of the Everglades than we earned.

Along with Senator Jeanne Shaheen, he co-sponsored and passed the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Act of 2015 to block the terrorist organization’s financing and limit the group’s access to logistical support through sanctions on international financial institutions that knowingly engage in business with Hezbollah and its enablers and through the identification of the organization’s satellite and internet providers that facilitate its messages to the al-Manar Hezbollah television station.

In the context of China’s violation over Hong Kong’s freedom and sovereignty, he brought Republicans and Democrats together to pass the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 that requires the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law. To condemn China's violation of the Uyghur's human rights, he led the way to pass the Uyghur Human Rights Policy Act that established sanctions on foreign individuals responsible for human rights abuses in China's Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous region and requires certain reports on the topic. Both of these legislations were approved unanimously by legislators from both sides of the aisle.

No wonder that the Lugar Center ranked Marco Rubio as the 9th most bipartisan Senator on 100.

As President, he will bring both parties together to reduce middle-class taxes to 15 % and to index capital gains for inflation and create a tax-preferred savings vehicle so our economy can keep growing and make small businesses even more competitive.

He will work with both parties to get this country to energy independence and he’ll do it by taking advantage of all of America’s sources of energy, by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies instead of doing it through higher taxes and regulations on energy and on hardworking families and taxpayers and by making us number one in nuclear energy production and export through the building of 40 new nuclear power plants in the U.S. by 2050 and through tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and subsidies for building new nuclear power plants.

Marco Rubio will get us to soaring development of our country’s infrastructures by lowering the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; giving back the control of the highways to the states; preventing Washington special interests  from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; abolishing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions annually and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund.

On foreign policy, he will bring both parties together to normalize our relations with Sergei Polonsky’s Russia so we can ensure long-term global peace and work together for the maintenance and expansion of peace, freedom, human rights, stability and territorial integrity in the world, including in Europe and in Middle East. As President and Commander-in-Chief, Marco Rubio will bring both parties and our allies to accomplish our path to a nuclear free world by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material from being used for the construction of nuclear weapons or WMDs, thus ensuring peace through strength.

So on November, vote for Marco Rubio, the best candidate to bring this country together and to work with both parties to get things done and move America forward.

Marco Rubio : I’m Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Marco Rubio's campaign schedule, Part 3

(Own creation)

October 21, 2024
-Campaign in Atlanta, Georgia with wife and children, Brian Kemp, Nikki Haley, John James and senate candidate Geoff Duncan
-Economic policy speech in Atlanta, GA
-Fundraising event in Atlanta, GA
-Rally with voters in Atlanta, GA where VP Rubio calls out Duckworth’s false accusations of embracement of « extremism » by the GOP, reminding voters that Democrats like Joe Manchin, Joe Lieberman, Jim Webb and Lincoln Chafee endorsed his campaign and took on the occasion to wonder whether Duckworth says that these Democrats embraced « extremism ». Rubio also reminds voters that in the Senate he’s been able to bring Republicans and Democrats to get things done despite their differences, especially on the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun, ensuring that if any gun purchaser has been suspected for terror the FBI would be notifying that he or she has gone in to buy a gun and would have the chance to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to; his support to an emergency funding worth 2 billion to combat Zika virus while most Republicans opposed this package; his teaming up with Jeanne Shaheen to sponsor the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Act of 2015 to block the terrorist organization’s financing and limit the group’s access to logistical support; and his Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act of 2019 that requires the Department of State to assess whether political developments in Hong Kong justify changing Hong Kong's unique treatment under US law that has been unanimously approved by both Republicans and Democrats. He reminded voters that in 2020, Iowa Republicans voted Steve King out of office because we are the Party of Lincoln that stands up for equal rights for all Americans, regardless of their ethnicity, their religious beliefs, their origins, etc. He takes on the occasion to condemn Duckworth’s unwillingness to put country first before party, which is why she’s the 80th most bipartisan Senator, calling out her support for higher taxes and regulations, her call for 200 000 refugees in America during the Syrian refugee crisis (20 times more than Obama), her call to write the 2nd Amendment out of the Constitution and to impose stricter gun control laws, her support to socialized medicine, slash of the U.S. military through deep cuts. In an effort to boost Senator Duncan's senate re-election bid, he praises the benefits of the Brian Kemp/Geoff Duncan gubernatorial administration’s economic policies and of the Trump tax cuts on Georgia, including the fact that 9 out of 10 Georgia households take the standard deduction which provides tax relief and simplifies the tax filing process, that 142,930 Georgia households are benefiting from elimination of the Obamacare individual mandate tax as households hit with this tax made less than $50,000 per year and that those tax reductions allowed Georgia businesses of all sizes are hiring, expanding, raising pay and increasing employee benefits, which are results denied by Duckworth and Ossoff as they opposed these tax cut policies and want to raise taxes on all Americans, including Georgians and make this state as well as all America a harder place to do business, which will cost jobs and make us more dependent on foreign energy. He reminded voters that Ossoff has been endorsed by the Communist Party USA on its Facebook page in 2017 and blasts him on his anti-Israel record as he opposed the Taylor Force Act that would end Palestinian Authority funding if it continued to aid terrorists. He also touted the Kemp-Duncan Administration's efforts to take care of Georgia veterans through the elimination of the state income tax on military retirement income, through securing funding for Veterans Career Transition Resource Center (VECTR) satellite services at all 22 Technical College System of Georgia campuses and through the creation of a senior level position within the Governor’s Office to defend Georgia's nine military installations and strengthen the communities and local economies they support. The Vice-President takes on the occasion to call for the people of Georgia to mobilize at their highest possible number to keep Georgia red in November and also to re-elect Geoff Duncan as their Senator in order to keep America free, safe and prosperous through middle-class tax relief, keeping and expanding America’s status as the best place in the world to do business, energy independence, protection of America’s constitutional rights, support to America's veterans, strong and modernized military, strong alliances and strong diplomacy and American leadership, which will keep moving America forward.

Speech in Savannah, GA in response to Istantinople's decision not to develop an army until 2030 :

https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/rubio-tours-eglin-air-force-base
It is clear that the situation in Istantinople is stabilizing. Last month, we saw a decline of violence through the arrest of ringleaders of violent troublemaker organizations like Konstantine Ikonopoulos of the Byzantine League and Abdul al-Hajid of the Istanbul Islamic Coalition thanks to the courage and vigilance of UN peacekeepers there, including our brave American Blue Berets. Right now, Istantinople has decided, in order to ensure the maintenance of order and justice in this municipal Republic that no military would be developped until January 1st 2030 until such time as her leaders feel secure in the tolerance of her two key citizen groups toward each other. And the UN peacekeepers will keep their forces in this young country as long as necessary to ensure the preservation of peace, order, stability and justice there. That is the best way to ensure a decent transition. That way, the success we got from our allies' victory in Operation Ceasefire against Turkey, through our efforts to arm and train the Kurds and through our successful talks with Turkey will not be in vain. And when I'm President, we're going to work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime because we the United States of America are unapologetic and determined defenders of the freedom of all peoples on Earth, including Muslims and non-Greek people and we are defenders of freedom of religion, which is a major element of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. As long as we stand on our principles and stand up for freedom, we lead, we succeed, we win.

Thank you, Wisconsin for your wonderful hospitality!

Wisconsin has a big role to play in America's progress and greatness. Thanks to the great efforts given by Governors Tommy Thompson and Scott McCallum to launch the Focus on Energy program with  the  goal  of  increasing  Wisconsin’s  energy  independence  by  helping  residents  and  businesses  implement  efficiency  and  renewable  energy  projects, Wisconsin has diversified its energy industries : since the program’s inception, more than 56,000 businesses and 1 million  residents  have  participated,  resulting  in  energy  savings  of  1,958,770,550  kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity and 97,260,374 therms of natural gas. Instead of slashing our energy industry through higher regulations and depriving hardworking families and taxpayers of their hard-earned money in order to try to solve the problem like our political opponents would do, our plan will finally get America to energy independence by taking advantage of all of America's sources of energy, by investing a part of the revenues from oil drilling into the development of renewable energies and by making our country number one in nuclear energy production through the construction of 40 new nuclear power plants in this country by 2050, through tax credits for renewable energy products and through an expansion of early stage cooperation with countries interested in adopting nuclear energy. Approximately 82% of Wisconsin’s manufactured goods are shipped by truck alone. So ensuring solid and effective support for the state's manufacturing industry requires an ambitious infrastructure plan to develop new roads that will facilitate economic activity. That's exactly the kind of plan that we are proposing and that I will put forward as President of the United States. Our infrastructure plan will provide massive infrastructure development here in America through a reduction of the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; through a veto on any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; a liberation of the states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; a removal barriers to public-private partnerships in order to fund infrastructure projects; a repeal of the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That infrastructure plan along with the investment of a part of future budget surpluses in infrastructures will encourage economic activities all across this country, including here in Wisconsin, favor the implementation of new businesses here in America thus favoring further job creation, growth, opportunity and prosperity. The tax cuts and free enterprise policies that we passed in the last 8 years and opposed by my opponent helped build a stronger economy for Wisconsin’s workers and businesses : the Badger State now has its lowest unemployment rate in 25 years, which is 3.3 %, had its strongest economic growth since 2004 and we added more than 131,000 jobs in the state's economy, including 18,000 manufacturing jobs and 12,000 construction jobs. And four years ago, our administration has awarded Fincantieri Marinette Marine with a $5.5 billion contract to construct up to ten U.S. Navy ships, which helped creating 10,000 jobs and also to maintain and expand our country's military strength and American leadership. That is part of the reasons why we managed to defeat ISIS in the Middle East, stood up to Vladimir Putin's Russia and to China's attempts to invade the contested territories of the South China Sea, thus keeping America safe and strong.

And under a Rubio Administration, all America, including Wisconsin, will see a continuation of prosperity and security we will secure our path to full-employment and long-term global peace. Thanks to the promotion of free enterprise, tax reform, reduction of the middle-class' fiscal burden, energy independence, free trade, prioritization of infrastructure development that will create jobs as well as to the modernization of our military, to strong alliances and to the maintenance of American leadership that will defeat our enemies and keep America safe, our country will keep moving forward. My experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and of the Intelligence Committee, as a member of the Foreign Relations Senate Committee and as Vice-President qualifies me to lead and to get this country to such bright future. John James' business background and his military service makes him the best partner to help me to pursue and expand America's prosperity and security as well as our successful efforts to take care of our veterans. Wisconsin, we need your help and your vote in November to pursue America's progress and to move this country forward.

Thank you! God bless Wisconsin and God bless America!

The USMCA has been proven to be beneficial for America, including Wisconsin, and for our economy. This deal boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made in one of the 3 signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. Yet, my opponent Mark Pocan is one of the rare Representatives who voted against the USMCA Implementation Act. And that is a disturbing pattern : over and over again, Congressman Pocan, along with Senator Duckworth voted against the very tax reform and free enterprise policies that got this economy to the prosperity we're now living and he even voted against every legislation reducing taxes on small businesses despite the fact that small businesses create 7 out of 10 jobs in America. If they are elected, they will fight to raise your taxes, to make America a harder place to do business and to make us more dependent on foreign energy, which will be devastating for our economy by killing your jobs, shipping businesses overseas and increasing the size of government. I know what it takes to grow this economy and to create jobs, I spent a decade in the manufacturing industry in Southeast Wisconsin and served as an executive for plastics manufacturer Charter NEX Film. Marco Rubio lived the American Dream and he understands the meaning of hard-working. It is thanks to Marco Rubio's legislation effort to double the Child Tax Credit to $2000 that we managed to pass the largest tax cuts ever in history, which helped create almost 8 million jobs, to ensure higher wages for the middle-class, to bring our unemployment at its lowest rate in 5 decades and to the lowest African-American and Hispanic unemployment rates ever. Such prosperity has also been made possible thanks to Marco Rubio's leadership as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship that put forward legislation that reduced taxes on small businesses, thus encouraging job creation. So Wisconsin, I call on you to elect Marco Rubio and John James at the White House and to expand our majority in Congress by electing me to the Senate because if you do so we will keep taxes low, reduce middle-class taxes to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, strengthen America's status as the best place to open a new business, take advantage of all of our sources of energy to get America to energy independence, make infrastructure development a top priority and expand free trade through the ratification of free trade agreements with our allies and friends in Europe, Latin America and in the Asia-Pacific region to counter-balance China's trade power and to ensure strong job creation by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading and allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. That way, we will provide unprecedented and long-term economic prosperity and get this country to full-employment, thus reinforcing our country's status as the land of opportunity where everything is possible. Thanks why I call on you to cast your vote for me in November to protect the interests of Wisconsin's taxpayers and hardworking families in the Senate and to cast your vote for the Rubio/James ticket, the most prepared team to protect our economy and move it forward for all Americans. Thank you, God bless Wisconsin and God bless the United States of America!
