John James spent the weeks leading into October going on the campaign trail for his Senate Race, mostly, but also went to the states of Ohio, Florida, Georgia, and Wisconsin to rally support for the Republican Ticket in those states and he also helped the Republican Candidates down the ballot by doing rallies for them. From September 26th-30th, he spent those days doing Senate duties while he also focused on practicing his ability to debate Ruben Gallego in the Vice Presidential Debate come October.

Today, on Labor Day, we celebrate the American Dream, our country's status as the land of opportunity and the hardworking of all of the people of America.

Eight years ago, our economy was experiencing its slowest pace in history due to increased taxes and big government and the stock market was starting to stagnate and our GDP annual growth rate was stuck under 2 % in the few months preceding President Trump's coming to office. We lost 300 000 manufacturing jobs, including 37 000 right here in Ohio and 45 000 in Pennsylvania. Under the previous administration, the Hispanic unemployment rate has hit one of its highest rates in history and the youth unemployment rate their highest in our nation history. We had a lot of work to do and we started that work by providing the largest tax cuts America has ever known and I helped passing it by putting forward legislation doubling the Child Tax Credit, thus ensuring strong economic growth that made America the best place in the world to do business, reduced taxes for all Americans, helped create 7 and a half million new jobs, brought our national unemployment rate at its lowest rate since the early 1970s and brought the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates at their lowest ever recorded. In addition, thanks to those pro-growth policies, our manufacturing industry is thriving as we added 500 000 jobs in that industry in the last 8 years and our middle-class is stronger than ever before as the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy reports that a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. A single parent with one child earning $41 000 a year saw a tax cut of $1,304, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes. Nine out of ten taxpayers with annual income between $64,000 and $108,000 earned an average federal tax cut of $1400 in 2018. These are not my words, these are the words of the left of center Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy. Similarly, 90 % of taxpayers winning between $40,000 and $64,000 got an average federal tax cut of $810, while 87 percent of taxpayers with annual income between $108,000 and $232,000 saw an average federal tax cut of $2,710. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act doubled the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000. 105 million Americans took the standard deduction in 2015 according to the IRS statistics of income (SOI) database. We also allowed such economic growth by starting to take advantage of our own sources of energy and by the successful renegotiation of NAFTA.

There is still work to do to achieve prosperity for all Americans and thanks to my experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and my running mate's business knowledge, we're going to get there. We will achieve prosperity by keeping taxes low so you can keep more of your hard-earned money, by reducing middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, which is key to a strong economy. We're going to get America to energy independence by taking advantage of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, tide, hydroelectric energies, invest a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies instead of doing so by taking away taxpayers' money as our opponents are suggesting. We'll promote free trade with our allies to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy and to make certain that American businesses will be able to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. We need to provide strong infrastructure development by investing into it as well as by reducing the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund. That way, thanks to new infrastructures, we will facilitate economic activities and encourage the implementation of new businesses here in America as well as further job creation. That's how we're going to keep moving our country forward and make sure that all Americans will have good-paying jobs, get America to full-employment and to provide long-term economic prosperity and to expand the American Dream and America's status as the land of opportunity.

Thank you! God bless you, God bless you all and God bless America!

-Campaign for Anthony Gonzalez's senate bid against Sherrod Brown in Cincinnati, OH :

Source : https://www.rubio.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/miami-office-opening
Many times in the past, Ohio has determined America's future as it went to the winner of every presidential election since the 1960s and 2024 certainly won't be an exception. And America's future will also depend on the balance of power in Congress. That's why I'm here to campaign for Anthony Gonzalez.

Just like me, Anthony is a son and grandson of Cuban immigrants. In 1960, his grandparents fled Cuba under threat of execution from the Castro regime. Along with their children, they came to Ohio in search of a better life inspired by a belief in our democratic principles and the ability to create their own American story. His maternal grandfather was a World War II veteran who fought for our country against tyranny and terror. Los valores de gobierno limitado, mercados libres e igualdad de derechos para todos los estadounidenses inspiraron su viaje a nuestro país, y continúan permitiendo que cada generación sucesiva de estadounidenses cree la nación más próspera más libre de la historia humana. Just like me, he knows what it looks like to lose the gift of freedom.

His father founded a steel company named Ferragon Corporation, a processing facility on the west side of Cleveland. Growing up in the business and working summers alongside my family, it was there that he first gained a true appreciation for the dignity of a hard day’s work, the value of a good paying job, and the importance of being able to put food on the table. He learned those values from his family and the incredible men and women who helped build that once small plant into the thriving business that it is today. He knows what it looks like to start a business and he knows what it takes to get this economy growing and create jobs and preserve America's freedom. The same can't be said about Sherrod Brown. He voted against the Small Business Tax Fairness Act of 2000 that reduced taxes on small business and increased the minimum wage while we all know that most of the jobs created come from small businesses. He voted over 35 times in favor of raising taxes on Social Security, on small businesses and on hard working families, including middle class families. He voted for Medicare taxes on seniors citizens. In 2012, Senator Brown voted against the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act that cut regulatory burdens on small and medium-sized businesses making it easier for them to raise capital and create jobs. And despite the positive effects of the TCJA that helped provide the strong economic growth and job creation in the last 8 years, Brown voted against it. Even after 9/11, the deadliest attack that was orchestrated against our country, Sherrod Brown opposed establishing the Department of Homeland Security, a measure that reinforced our national security and prevented further terrorist attacks against us until the previous administration's failed foreign policy that weakened our security measures, cut in the military and increasingly withdrew us from the fight against radical Islamic terrorism, gave us ISIS who attacked us in our national soil in Garland, San Bernardino, Philadelphia and Orlando. While we all knew that the old Iranian regime was using the revenues from the lifting of the sanctions to develop nuclear weapons and to sponsor, fund and arm terrorist groups around the world, he voted against describing the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as a terrorist group even though the Quds Force, a special forces unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, attempted an attack on our embassy in Azerbaidjan.

In the House of Representatives, Anthony Gonzalez has time and again protected the interests of Ohians as he fought to lower their taxes and their constitutional rights. He co-sponsored the Middle Class Health Benefits Tax Repeal and the Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act. As your Senator, he will keep fighting for you by advocating lower taxes and free enterprise to provide growth, jobs and prosperity, by protecting of your constitutional rights and by promoting strong national defense to keep America safe against our enemies. That's why we need all of you to come out on Election Day at the highest possible number both on the senatorial and presidential levels to make sure we will win the White House and also reinforce our majority in Congress to help me to put forward policies that will get us to long-term prosperity through tax reform, free enterprise and energy independence, to long-term global peace through a strong military and alliances and to the protection of our constitutional rights through the nomination of conservative judges at the Supreme Court.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

On this day, we commemorate a tragic day that will never be forgotten and that held us together as a nation as well as the courage and the sacrifice of those who stood up to terrorists and prevented further attacks us. Twenty-three years ago, we've been attacked by Al Qaeda for cherishing the values we believe in, including democracy, gender equity, justice, freedom of religion, freedom of the press and freedom of speech. They killed 3000 Americans by hitting the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. And Flight 93 was also hijacked by Al Qaeda and the terrorists were planning to hit the White House or the U.S. Capitol. But Flight 93's passengers sacrificed their lives in order to stop another terrorist attack from being committed by revolting against the terrorists controlling the plane and by making this plane crash in in Stonycreek Township, Pennsylvania, in the very state our nation was born in a time of war against tyranny in which our Founding Fathers signed, almost 250 years ago, the Declaration of Independence, which gave birth to a free country called the United States of America. This act of heroism by Flight 93's passengers saved many lives as well as the American democracy.

After that tragedy, we were united together against a common challenge no matter our political differences and we stood together against terror. After 9/11, we striked back by declaring war on terrorism, by strengthening our security measures, by reinforcing our military and our partnerships with our allies and by intervening militarily in Afghanistan, thus toppling the tyrannical Taliban regime and destroying Al Qaida's bases. Then, our brave soldiers killed Osama Bin Laden, the responsible of 9/11 attacks. And in the last 8 years, we made strong progress in keeping America safe as we rebuilt our military and modernized it, giving us the necessary tools to counter the threat represented by ISIS that attacked us in Garland, San Bernardino and Orlando. In the last 8 years, we have thanks to a strong military and strong alliances and the courage of our troops defeated ISIS in the Middle East and eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. And thanks to strong diplomacy, we got Arsham Parsi's Iran to denuclearize and to stop Iran's past state-sponsored terrorism, thus depriving terrorist organizations of supply and war effort. Our final victory against radical Islamic terrorism is imminent and that requires keeping our military strong, by standing up with our allies and expanding our alliances and providing our allies in West Africa in weapons and military training to ensure their full readiness to handle their countries' own security and defeat Boko Haram. That way, we will guarantee that America will not suffer another 9/11, we will keep America safe, protect our democracy, freedom and Constitution and make sure that our children and grandchildren will inherit a world in which they will earn the opportunity to experience peace, liberty and safety.

Thank you! God bless you and God bless the United States of America!

Run ad “A Scam or a Plan?” in AZ, CO, MN, IA, TX, MI, WI, OH, PA, VA, NC, GA, and FL

"Marco Rubio loves to tout the GOP's tax plan as an example of his and Trump's success, so we thought we should take a look at what experts say and the real impact of this bill."

"We all know that the GOP hates deficit-spending until they are in power, then they add nearly 3 trillion to the deficit with tax cuts like these."

Source

"The worst part is, this bill didn’t just lower taxes on the middle class or working class, it also gutted the ACA’s individual mandate, lowering coverage and increasing costs."

"As much as $700 billion of these cuts is projected to go overseas, rather than into the pockets of Americans."

"And while Marco Rubio is trying to have it both ways on trade, this bill increased the trade deficit and costing the US millions of jobs."

"The Federal Bureau of Economic Analysis concluded 'if the TCJA’s corporate rate cuts were working, we would be seeing a permanent rise in investment. Instead, investment growth is cratering.'"

"The truth is, this bill didn't increase wages, and 60% of corporate tax cuts went to shareholders."

"Let’s compare this to Tammy Duckworth’s economic plan."

Source

"She intends to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour, add a public option to healthcare, increasing coverage, and decreasing costs, lower the Medicare age to 50, and make sure the wealthiest pay their fair share, ensuring crucial funding to social services"

"The question for this election boils down to whether you want someone fighting to give you a raise or to carve out more loopholes for corporations and the ultra-wealthy under another tax scam."

“The attacks on the Chinese government’s social credit system shows the inherent flaw in the system itself. I believe a permanent shut down to the system is of paramount importance for the human rights of the Chinese people. If we learned anything from the Russian interference of the election in 2016, the danger of hacking any sort of electronic system is obviously not going anywhere. This is one of the reasons I’ve come out with the Voter’s Bill of Rights, because there should be a standard of security the American people can expect, and I hope the international community takes a serious look at cybersecurity alongside the United States.”

"It's obvious I struck a nerve with Vice President Marco Rubio by pointing out his hypocrisy. But, that's the most consistent part of his government service, speaking out against deficits and opening diplomatic channels with adversaries under President Obama, only to champion increasing those same deficits and opening channels with no real oversight under Donald Trump. Americans deserve to know where their President stands and to know that she won't change her mind based solely on who is in office, and that's what I can promise you I'll do as your President."

- Rally in Des Moines

September 1-3rd: Arizona

"Marco Rubio and I both have plans for energy, mine is an aggressive plan with the goal of carbon neutrality. This would mean investing in solar, wind, and other renewables to not only preserve our environment but make all of our energy bills go down. Marco Rubio would prefer that we drill in national landmarks and dump nuclear waste in sites like Yucca Mountain, disrespecting the autonomy of locals who cherish these sites as part of their heritage."

- Meet with union leaders in Las Vegas

September 6-10th: Georgia

- Fly to Atlanta
- Joint rally in Atlanta with President Obama
- Joint rally in Marietta with Representative Lucy McBath

"No one should have to lose a child to gun violence, and weapons of war belong in the hands of those trained in their use. The common-sense solutions of universal background checks and banning assault weapons would be passed if it weren't for the NRA giving millions to politicians like Donald Trump and Marco Rubio. As your President, I will gladly wear my F rating from the NRA and go along with the majority of Americans rather than special interests like gun manufacturers."

- Joint rally in Bangor with Troy Jackson

September 17th: Rhode Island

- Travel to Providence
- Joint rally with David Cicilline in Providence
- Meet volunteers in Providence and speak on the importance of electing two Democratic Senators in November

"It's not enough just to win in November, we have to have an electoral route, with a Democratic President and Congress. If we don't, then we risk more of the same as we've seen this past 8 years of gridlock, bowing to special interests, and an embarrassing lack of leadership abroad. Marco Rubio loves to say I 'lack the judgment' to be President, and as an elected member of Congress, a veteran, and someone who has served her country for decades, I reject that gross mischaracterization. The truth is, Marco knows I'm right. He knows that he has two standards, one for a Democratic President and another for a Republican one. He knows that I'm right to be cautious when fanning the flames of war and that we shouldn't take dictators at their word. The problem is, he'd have to admit that I'm right and President Trump is wrong which is something he is unable to do."

September 18-21st: Florida

- Fly to Miami
- Joint rally in Miami with Debbie Mucarsel-Powell
- Rally in Fort Lauderdale
- Rally in Fort Myers
- Rally in Tampa
- Rally in Lakeland
- Rally in Orlando
- Joint rally in Jacksonville with President Obama

"Every time I hear President Obama speak, I can't help but miss him. We really had it much better under his leadership, and in November we have a chance to return to normalcy. We will have a President who has your back, rather than Donald Trump's. We can pass the ERA, the Equality Act, and the Protect Working Families Act. We can expand the work President Obama did with healthcare by expanding the Affordable Care Act. And we can give hardworking Americans a raise by making the national minimum wage $15 an hour all the while cutting costs for healthcare and childcare. That's what's at stake this November, and I hope you'll join me in these goals."

Marco Rubio's response to Duckworth's attacks in Ann Arbor, Michigan

Senator Duckworth is starting to get desperate as I'm now leading her by double digits and decided to pursue her phony attacks in order to mischarecterize my record and mislead American voters. She once again displayed her misunderstanding of the economy. She doesn't have a plan, basically it's an echo. She doesn't know what it looks like to start a business. No wonder that she hasn't created a single job in her entire life except her own job. But as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I contributed to the thriving economy of the last eight years by passing legislation that reduced taxes on small businesses, reinforced their competitiveness and their ability to produce and to create jobs. But Senator Duckworth opposed all those policies. Even though 7 out of 10 jobs in America come from small businesses, she voted against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act. My running mate John James ran a supply-chain business and created jobs through ingenuity, competitiveness, hard-working and entrepreneurship. So we both know what it takes to grow this economy and ensure decent wages and good-paying jobs for all America, we're running on the right ideas that got this economy to the strong prosperity that we're living today and that's why we are the right to handle the economic challenges facing this country.

Senator Duckworth is challenging the credibility and the numbers of the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy, a non-partisan center, because she wants to be able to say that the middle-class and lower income Americans got crushed by the economic policies adopted in the last 8 years. You can't succeed in this effort if you're not willing to recognize the progress made in helping the middle-class to rise from the ashes. This institute says that thanks to the adoption of the TCJA and to the repeal of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax, the middle-class is thriving as a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. The TCJA doubled the child tax credit from $1,000 to $2,000 per child, benefiting 22 million families that took the Credit. The TCJA raised the threshold of the Alternative Minimum Tax so fewer taxpayers are forced to comply with the provision. More than 4,464,430 families and individuals paid the Alternative Minimum Tax in 2015. When it comes to married small business owners with income of $100 000 per year, with $60,000 from wages, $25,000 in compensation from their non-corporate business, and $15,000 of business income, they enjoyed a tax relief of more than $2,600. Their tax bill has been reduced from what they would pay next year, around $10,982.50, to paying around $8,379 instead—a reduction of $2,603.50. This represents a reduction in their tax bill of nearly 24 percent. So it also helps small businesses across this country and their ability to create jobs. So you can realize that the middle-class is benefiting from the TCJA and yet Senator Duckworth voted against it. She is just out of step with the middle-class. But we're going to do more in order to get this economy growing by strengthening America's status as the best place to do business and by reducing middle-class taxes by 7 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle because a strong economy requires a strong American middle-class and that's why I have the best knowledge, experience and agenda to get this economy growing.

And I've never changed my mind on deficits, unlike my opponent I've always championned fiscal discipline. Senator Duckworth wants you to believe that we have deficit and debt because of tax cuts. She just got it wrong. The right solution to reduce the deficit is to encourage economic growth and job creation and thus that requires lowering taxes, which is someting Senator Duckworth opposes, because there's nothing better for getting us to a balanced budget than having more people working, earning more money, paying more taxes. So my friends, the reason we have deficit and debt is not because we cut taxes in order to spur the economy. The reason we have deficit and debt is because Congress keeps spending and that’s why we need to stop out-of-control spending, to pass a balanced budget amendment, veto bridge-to-nowhere projects, veto earmarks and encourage fiscal discipline and responsibility in order to reduce government spending and balance the budget. That’s exactly what I’m going to do as President of the United States in order to bring spending under control, to bring our deficit and our debt under control and reduce them and get us to a balanced budget.

On health care, Senator Duckworth wants to reimpose the same regulations that were costing the American people their health care coverage and took away their purchasing power to bailout big pharmaceutical companies. Meanwhile, I have a plan to ensure health care coverage for our people which is to protect the pre-existing conditions and allowing small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem could result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them. This plan will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs. Over the last decade, because of Obamacare, employment at businesses with fewer than 50 employees has fallen 25 percent. The of HRAs will make sure that millions of Americans will once again be able to use employer-funded HRAs to pay for health insurance and out-of-pocket expenses. And that will be done through helping 800,000 small companies in the U.S. build their workforce by offering affordable health care options. Our plan will also allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts. While Senator Duckworth trusts the government, I trust the doctors to handle the American people's health care.

I find that strange that Senator Duckworth attacks me on free trade because she supported the USMCA Implementation Act. And she was for fast-track before she was against TPP. I guess that she decided to run on anti-free trade agenda because Jeff Merkley started to gain on her during the Democratic primaries based on a populist record. So if there is anyone trying to have it both ways on trade, you can see that this person is Senator Duckworth not me. In her opposition to free trade and in her belief that we can achieve prosperity by selling to just 5 % of the world economy, is in favor of higher tarrifs, which will hurt the economy, kill opportunities for businesses to expand and to create jobs through stronger competition in the world economy. She opposed TPP, which would give China greater authority to dictate the terms of international trade. But my plan, on the other hand, will lower tarrifs and champion free trade with our allies in Europe, Latin America and in Asia-Pacific in order to make America the most competitive nation in the world economy and so it will reduce tarrifs, increase exports and imports, reduce the cost of trading, allow American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. That is the way to achieve and expand prosperity.

On energy, I have the right plan to get us to energy independence that will actually be effective unlike my opponent's plan that will sacrifice American taxpayers' hard-earned money, their purchasing power and jobs by using it into the development of renewable enrgies. But we will do so through a part of oil drilling revenues, which will allow us to develop renewable energies, including wind, solar, nuclear, tide, geothermal and hydroelectric energies, which will ensure both job creation and a clean environment. Instead of taking advantage of all of our sources of energy, my opponent would rather keep handing money to terrorist organizations through our energy dependence and our energy imports from unstable countries in the throes of anti-American forces, including dictators and terrorists who would use those revenues to fund plans of attacks on America and our allies. So my plan will deprive those anti-American forces of war effort by making us free from foreign energy and that requires taking advantage of all of our sources of energy, including oil, gas, coal, nuclear, solar, wind, tide, hydroelectric, geothermal energies. And when it comes to Senator Duckworth's attacks on me for promoting oil drilling, they just prove her hypocrisy because Senator Duckworth received more than $30,587 of campaign contributions from the oil and gas industry (if we include all the amounts of campaign contributions she has ever got from that industry in all the cycles she ran for political office from 2006 to 2024) and she supported Dan Brouillette's nomination as Secretary of Energy even though Brouillette is a proponent of oil drilling and production and coal. That kind of record is the proof that she is the one who is inconsistent on issues and that she changes her positions depending on political pressures just like she flip-flopped on airstrikes on ISIS in Iraq as in June 2014 she voted against prohibiting combat operations in Iraq and then shortly there after the same day, during an interview with ABC News, she declared her opposition to airstrikes against ISIS even at a time those jihadists were controlling 70 % of Iraq's territory and were using it as a base to launch attacks on us and our allies like they did in San Bernardino, Garland, Orlando, Paris and Brussels. She also changed her opposition on supporting the Benghazi Committee as in March 2015, she touted her place on the Benghazi Committee and promised to hold Hillary Clinton accountable for her misuse of her email account as she used a private email server instead of a public one during her time as Secretary of State and deleted 33 000 emails in order to hide the truth from Americans, thus putting our national security in danger. Then in September 2015, Duckworth changed her mind by criticizing the committee even though Secretary Clinton has consistently lied to the American people about her email server just like she lied about Benghazi telling the Benghazi victims' family that a video was responsible while she knew this was a terrorist attack. You've got to be firm and consistent when you're the President, there's a lot of pressures. But « consistent » is not a word describing Tammy Duckworth. Meanwhile, I've been consistent on my principles as I have always advocated a strong national defense and strong alliances to keep America safe and to defeat our ennemies, I have always fought for fiscal discipline through small government, lower taxes and promotion of free enterprise and I have always advocated energy independence through America's advantage of all of its energy sources.

On gun rights, Senator Duckworth has no solutions. Her only answer to everything is to undermine the Second Amendment and deprive the American people of their right to self-defense. Meanwhile, after the shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, a radical Islamic terrorist attack which Senator Duckworth and her party tried to politicize and that we could have prevented had our opponents not supported those devastating cuts in the military, I was there on the ground on the solution mode. I sponsored the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that allowed the U.S. attorney general to delay a firearms' purchase for up to three days and filed an emergency court petition if someone previously investigated for terrorism tried to buy a gun. The reason why Omar Mateen was able to buy a gun is because he was no longer under active investigation, and so this bill made sure that if you have been suspected for terror in the last decade, the FBI would be notifying that you’ve gone in to buy a gun and would have the opportunity to stop that sale and to investigate what you’re up to. And another example of the fact that gun control is not the right solution is that after the shooting at Santa Fe High School, every of the students who were shut said, word for word, that gun control is not the answer and they've been asked what was the right solution to prevent gun violence in schools and their answer was to have more armed police officers at schools to keep our kids and our schools safer and metal detectors and that's exactly what we're going to do under my presidency. That's the right kind of leadership and plan to prevent such gun violence while preserving your constitutional rights.

Now, Senator Duckworth talks about being supported by special interests, she is one to talk because in effect she is supported by special interests. She pretends wanting to take on Wall Street but she is a tool of Wall Street as the non-partisan Center for Responsive Politics indicated that Duckworth received $162 372 from Wall Street to fund her senate campaign and that she also received more money from the securities and investment industry than all but 22 other House members in the 2016 cycle, more than all but 5 other House Democrats and more than any Democratic House member from Illinois. And she is supported by Super PACs that got more than $2.4 million of funding from George Soros, the 19th wealthiest person in the world. Meanwhile, I took on Wall Street by cosponsoring the Federal Reserve Transparency Act of 2011 which sought a full audit of the Federal Reserve. And for years, Wall Street has been getting rich helping Chinese companies raise money on U.S. stock exchanges, without those firms being required to meet basic U.S. standards for transparency. Millions of Americans have unknowingly invested hundreds of billions of dollars in Chinese companies whose audits have never been verified by U.S. regulators because the Chinese government did not permit its companies to submit to basic scrutiny and oversight in the United States. Hundreds of Chinese companies are listed on U.S. stock exchanges through a variety of creative investment mechanisms. Their financial audits, according to Chinese law, couldn't ever be checked. Even worse, when a Chinese firm is revealed to be involved in fraudulent activity, as happened all the time, U.S. investors had zero recourse in China. As a result, Chinese companies were bilking U.S. investors and U.S. markets were carrying huge and incalculable added risk. Something had to be done about it and that’s why I worked to introduce a bill that would give any foreign firm three years to make their audits available to U.S. regulators or face increased disclosure requirements if they don’t comply, which would delist them from U.S. exchanges. Because my political engagement's purpose, as I displayed time and again, is to fight for the American people not George Soros and special interests that are supporting Senator Duckworth.

When it comes to foreign policy and judgment, my opponent is once again trying to obscure and justify her flawed judgment, recklessness and record of heading on the wrong side of every national security issue. Actually, Senator, I've been able to admit when Donald Trump was wrong and that 's why I have taken him on when he said things that are wrong on policy and I've condemned them. When he said things that are agressive, vulgar, inappropriate and offensive, I've condemned them. When he questioned John McCain's war hero status, I called him out on it. And in 2018, when he called for a US-Russia Cybersecurity Unit with Putin, I called him out on it but now that Russia is governed by a pro-American and pro-democracy President such kind of policy is possible. Meanwhile, Senator Duckworth is the one who is unable to admit when she was wrong as she supported for President a Secretary of State who deleted 33 000 emails, used a private email server and let 4 brave Americans die in Benghazi and lied about the purpose of their deaths. At a time ISIS was conquering a large territory in the Middle East, she opposed airstrikes, suggesting that we should wait until the next attack to display any kind of strong leadership and forcefully defending America but I would argue that we have already been attacked and we need to do whatever it takes to keep this country safe and our troops and our allies can't defeat the enemy by being armed with spitballs. Senator Duckworth supported a deal that handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world's largest state-sponsor of terrorism at the time. And even without any proof of interference by Washington in the recent Russian election, Senator Duckworth called Sergei Polonsky a puppet of Donald Trump and in her party's obsession to bring down the President and the progress made in the last 8 years instead of focusing on protecting our national security interests she voted to impeach him. She claimed that the last 8 years were marked by a lack of leadership abroad. If that was true, we would not have defeated ISIS in the Middle East, we would not have eliminated Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi (something Obama has failed to do), we would not have got North Korea and Iran denuclearizing and transitioning towards democracy (as Iran is now governed by a Arsham Parsi a pro-American President and as Pyongyang announced last year that free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament will be held on October 23rd, 2024 and that reforms will be brought to the local government), we would not have got Venezuela achieving its democratization thanks to the provision of material and training to the Venezuelan insurgency in the Venezuelan Civil War and we would not have won Operation Ceasefire without a single American casualty (as we haven't sent troops in Turkey) and led to the recognition of Kurdistan as an independent nation through sanctions on Turkey and the provision of military training and arsenal to the Kurds. But that is exactly what happened in the last 8 years. Why? Because we restored strong American leadership, because we rebuilt and modernized our military (which Senator Duckworth voted time and again to weaken) and because we displayed strong diplomacy, which are all policies that made America much safer than ever before. The fact of the matter is that the next President must be ready to be Commander-in-Chief on Day One. If you're seeking such qualities in a presidential candidate then I am clearly your candidate. I served as a member of the Senate Committee, I chaired the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President, I helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and to denuclearize North Korea and Iran (where I led the 2021 diplomatic mission that officially got Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism). So I know what it takes to keep this country safe and we will do so by keeping our military strong and staying on offense against terror by providing our Western African allies in military training and arsenal in order to ensure their full readiness in handling their countries' own security and by destroying key Boko Haram targets, including their infrastructure and their controlled oil refineries, which will help us to defeat Boko Haram without needing to send additional ground troops there. We're going to normalize our relations with Polonsky's Russia and work together for the respect, maintenance and expansion of human rights, freedom and democracy on the global stage and to protect international infrastructures against China's cyber warfare we will establish a US-Russia cybersecurity unit. To eliminate any risk of nuclear war and to get us to a nuclear-free world, I will work with our allies to ratify the Fissile Material Cut-Off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material for the building of nuclear weapons. That's the way to guarantee long-term global peace and national security and that requires strength and leadership. That's why we have the right view to keep America free and safe. So if you want a candidate who dedicated all his life fighting for the American people, for everyday Americans, for the hardworking family, for the hard working taxpayer, for the veteran, to protect your interests and who will fight every single day for growth and opportunity through free enterprise, fight to protect your constitutional rights and to keep this country safe through strong American leadership then I am your candidate and I ask for your vote.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to rebuke Tammy Duckworth's phony and false attacks on Marco Rubio and to portray Duckworth as a flip-flopper and inconsistent on the issues facing America, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an attack ad featuring a weather vane turning and flipping depending on the wind's direction to emphasize on Duckworth's record of changing positions depending on political pressure.

Title : Weather Vane

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Weather Vane ad narration :

Tammy Duckworth : Americans deserve to know where their President stands and to know that she won't change her mind based solely on who is in office, and that's what I can promise you I'll do as your President.

Narrator : Really? Well let's take a look at Tammy Duckworth's record that actually displays a tale of 2 Duckworths.

Own creation
Today is the beginning of the National Hispanic Heritage Month, a month where we celebrate the Hispanic community’s contributions to America’s exceptionalism and prosperity as well as the strength of the common values that unite and enrich our nation. I'm very proud to have represented in the U.S. Senate a state that has a very large Hispanic population.

Thanks to the tax cut and free enterprise policies that we passed in the last 8 years, not only did we create 7 and a half million new jobs and brought our unemployment rate at its lowest rate ever but we also brought the Hispanic unemployment rate at its lowest rate ever (2.9 %) in the history of this great, wonderful and diverse country.

An important part of these people came from places like Cuba or Venezuela, where they were deprived of human rights by a two-bit dictator depriving them of their opportunities to move forward.

Gracias. Que Dios bendiga los Estados Unidos de America.

Recently this month, my youngest son Dominick started his final high school year, which is a very important step in life as it leads to high school graduation. So I want to make sure that all of our children across this country, including my children, will have access to have all the necessary tools that they need to succeed in America’s schools, help them to succeed in life, which will further strengthen our country's economic growth through an even stronger workforce.

That will be done by promoting school choice, which will cost families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. It will grant parents the power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere. It will expand opportunities for low-income students—especially minorities—to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, thus increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce. We’ll also allow tax breaks for individuals and companies that donate to school scholarship funds or help parents who home-school their children, which will expand elementary, secondary, and vocational education opportunities for students in addition of providing training for postsecondary students and workers seeking to gain new skills and advance their career through career and technical education, apprenticeships, certifications and other forms of workforce training. We’re going to remove barriers to qualified instructors, attract and reward good teachers.

That way, we're going to make it certain that our children will have all the tools and the skills that they need to succeed in the best schools in the world and give them a fair chance to succeed in life by opening to them all the doors that were closed to previous generations, which will favor the creation of the jobs of tommorrow.

Thank you. God bless you and God bless America.

Rubio takes on the occasion to call on the people of Florida's 13th congressional district to mobilize at the highest possible number in order to elect Frank Hibbard as their U.S. Representative in November so he will keep fighting to advance their interests and their needs and protect their freedom, prosperity and security in the House of Representatives through the promotion of tax reform, free enterprise, school choice, constitutional rights and strong national defense so he can help Marco Rubio to keep moving this country forward as President of the United States.

Exerpt from Duckworth Speech on the Campaign Trail

"So, it's pretty obvious I've riled up the Vice President, next thing you know we'll be talking about the size of our hands and then he'll be endorsing my campaign for President! Now, I won't waste your time going line by line on every baseless attack Marco Rubio throws at me, but I have to address the hypocrisy and insulting insinuation that the Vice President seemed to espouse in his speech. Marco Rubio said, 'she hasn't created a single job in her entire life except her own job,' about me. You got me, Vice President, I haven't started a business and neither have you. I went from college directly into the Army where I worked towards higher education. From there, as you all know, my helicopter was shot down, and I went to Walter Reed, where I learned to get around without either of my legs. At Walter Reed, I found myself asking what I could do to make life better for veterans like me who need to readjust to civilian life. It's then that I decided to get into politics, and two years later, I ran my first campaign for Congress. I didn't make it that time, but I was able to create a program to help veterans with PTSD as Illinois Director of Veterans Affairs.

Mind you, Marco Rubio wasn't creating jobs, that's where the hypocrisy shines, he was running for one higher office after another. I have nothing wrong with someone feeling passionate about representing their community, but it's absurd to attack me about 'not creating jobs' while the only jobs the Vice President was creating were campaign positions. The truth is, I didn't start a business and directly employ people, I proudly served this country in deployment and came back to do the same in elected office, and to act like that is somehow less than is insulting to all of us who have served.

At its core, that's not what this election is about though. It's not about Marco Rubio and Donald Trump attacking my character. No, this election is about healthcare, whether we continue on a wild west approach of dismantling the ACA piece by piece, or if we add a public option and commit to universal healthcare. This election is about preserving and enshrining our right to vote and make our voices heard. It's about restoring faith in our elected officials through greater transparency and prevention of conflicts of interest. Marco Rubio's response to Tammy Duckworth in Minneapolis, Minnesota

First of all, what Senator Duckworth got her claims wrong. This is not 2016 anymore (referring to Duckworth's comments on size of hands). So let's be serious, Senator. This campaign is not about the past but about America's future, about how to get this economy growing, about how to keep America safe and from the very beginning I stayed focused on these issues. And for having chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship as well as the Senate Intelligence Committee and as a member of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and as Vice-President I have the right experience and leadership skills to lead this country and pursue America's progress.

Now what I mean about Senator Duckworth not having created a single job or having started a business is that there is only one presidential candidate in this race who has chaired the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and this presidential candidate is me, so unlike Senator Duckworth I know what it takes to get small businesses rolling and to help creating jobs. But Senator Duckworth, on the other hand, stood in the way of stronger competitiveness for small businesses even though they create 7 out of 10 jobs in America, no wonder that she voted against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act and voted in favor of the death tax that was sucking farmers, ranchers and small businesses into it. And during my leadership as Chairman I helped our country to pursue the economic growth that we're now living by passing legislation that reduced taxes on small businesses, which reinforced their competitiveness, their productivity and their ability to create jobs, which is we created 7 and a half million new jobs in the last 8 years. Meanwhile Senator Duckworth stood in the way of more jobs and higher wages by voting against every single tax reform and free enterprise policy that we adopted in the last 8 years. While Senator Duckworth kept attacking our policies, I was there on the ground leading the way to make our country the best business-friendly environment in the world to encourage job creation. So the fact of the matter is that unlike Senator Duckworth I know what it takes to help create jobs and grow this economy which is to reduce taxes, make America the best place in the world to do business, get us to energy independence and make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy, which are all policies that Senator Duckworth opposes as she believes we can achieve prosperity by raising taxes on hard-working Americans and families and businesses, making America a harder place to do business, making us more dependent on foreign energy and trading with only 5 % of the world market.

And I'm proud to have selected Senator John James as my running mate, a veteran who has also proudly served our country and a man who has ran a supply-chain business (the James Group International) that created jobs thanks to ingenuity, entrepreneurship and hard work. So our ticket has the right skills, knowledge, experience and agenda to keep this economy growing which is to lower taxes, pass a middle-class tax relief, taking advantage of all our sources of energy, expanding free trade for the sake of America's competition and making infrastructure development a top priority. That's exactly what we will do thanks to our proven leadership and that's why we ask you, my fellow Americans, to join my campaign for the sake of America's future because the choice of this election is whether we move backwards through punishment of success and hardworking through higher taxes and regulations that will kill jobs and ship businesses overseas, deeper dependence on foreign energy or we keep moving this country forward through proven leadership that will get our country to full-employment and long term economic prosperity through tax reform, free enterprise, energy independence, free trade and fiscal discipline. And that's why I ask for your vote. Thank you, God bless you and God bless America!

Recently, Istantinople has seen an increase in violence since its formation, with nationalists and religious extremists from both Greece and Turkey committing terrorist acts as they attempt to bring the new nation into their respective folds, leading the United Nations sending a force of peacekeepers to the city, backed by a Russian fleet sent to aid. Thanks to these efforts, we have a chance to prevent any escalation of violence. And to prevent any genocide in Istantinople, we need to end impunity through judicial action in national and international courts and also gather information and set up an early-warning system. We also need going to work with our allies to ratify an international treaty recognizing ethnic cleansing as a specific crime because we the United States of America are unapologetic and determined defenders of the freedom of all peoples on Earth, including Muslims and non-Greek people and we are defenders of freedom of religion, which is a major element of the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States. That's what we're going to do under my presidency to make sure there won't be any ethnic cleansing and prevent any further escalation of violence in Istantinople so we can preserve this new Republic's independence, stability and freedom.

My friends, this senate race in Arizona may be the one race that will decide Senate control and which direction this country takes. Keeping this economy growing, preserving America's freedom and constitutional rights and keeping this wonderful country safe are the issues that are at stake in this election.

Here in Arizona, I'm running against Tom O'Halleran, a man who received and accepted a total of $8100 between October 2016 and January 2017 from Backpage, a child sex trafficking scheme encouraging human trafficking, even after Backpage's CEO Carl Ferrer has been arrested. Meanwhile, our presidential nominee has fought human trafficking by introducing and passing his Girls Count Act that forces any country in the world that receives American aid to give birth certificates to little girls when they are born, which saved thousands of girls around the world from exploitation, brutality and slavery, thus reinforcing our security.

And despite the fact that Obama's nuclear deal with Iran handed billions of dollars to a country that was the world's largest supporter of global terrorism at the time, including through the old Iranian regime's move to allow the Taliban to open an office in Zahedan, Iran, the Quds Force's attempt to attack the U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan and theit unsuccessful bomb plot against the National Council of Resistance of Iran in Paris in 2018, Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth supported this anti-American deal, thus putting our national security in danger. But fortunately, this administration restored sanctions on Tehran, thus depriving them of the revenues that they would otherwise have used to fund terrorist organizations' war effort and to build nuclear weapons that would have been able to reach the United States and our allies. Then in 2021, after Iran elected a pro-American and pro-democracy President like Arsham Parsi, Marco Rubio was there on the ground leading the diplomatic mission in Tehran that has officially, after constructive and peaceful diplomatic talks, got Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism, thus also leading to a normalization of our relations with Iran as well as to strong economic, geopolitical and defense collaboration between our 2 countries and to a reinforcement of peace, stability, freedom and security in the Middle East and put the state of Israel out of danger of being wiped out from the face of the Earth through nuclear weapons as it would have occured under the old Iranian regime. So you can also count on Vice-President Rubio's foreign policy expertise to keep America safe as he passed those sanctions on Hezbollah, the U.S.-Jordan Defense Cooperation Act to provide assistance to our Jordanian allies in the battle against ISIS and in dealing with the Syrian refugee crisis and the Let Freedom Reign Act and helped President Trump to defeat ISIS and to denuclearize North Korea and Iran. As President, Marco will lead us to victory against Boko Haram through the provision of military training and arsenal to our Western African allies to ensure they will be able to take full responsibility of their own security, normalize our relations with Polonsky's Russia for the sake of democracy, freedom, human rights and and long-term global peace and ratify the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to eliminate any risk of nuclear war and to get us to permanent nuclear security. And as a military veteran, who proudly served our country as Colonel in the U.S. Air Force during Operation Southern Watch, Operation Allied Force and Operation Enduring Freedom I will help President Rubio to keep this country safe, strong and free through the promotion of peace through strength if I'm re-elected to the Senate.

And thanks to the tax-cut and free enterprise policies provided both by this administration as well as by Governors Jan Brewer and Doug Ducey, Arizona's economy is booming : more than 500 000 new jobs have been created in Arizona in the last 10 years, Arizona is ranking 4th in the nation in terms of GDP growth (3.57 %) and even outpaced California, Florida and Texas on that level, the Grand Canyon State is ranked 3rd in the U.S. for economic momentum and Arizona's median household incomes have reached a record high of $61,125. And despite those positive results, both Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth as well as her running mate Ruben Gallego want to raise your taxes, which will cost your wages, your jobs and the opportunties that this country gives you. No wonder that they both voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. But if I'm re-elected to the Senate I will fight each and every day for jobs, growth and opportunity and thanks to Marco Rubio's leadership of leading the legislative effort to double the Child Tax Credit in order to help the TCJA to pass (which helped create 7 and a half million jobs in the last 8 years and brought our unemployment rate at a 50-year low), his experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship that passed legislation that lowered taxes on small businesses and increased their ability to grow, to expand, to compete, to produce and to create jobs, and his efforts to help this President to pursue this strong economic growth, we will get America, including Arizona, to full employment and long-term prosperity by promoting free enterprise, tax reform, fiscal discipline, a balanced budget, energy independence and free trade.

Arizona has the 6th highest gas prices in the nation, which is $13.69/thousand cu ft (while other toss-up states like Florida have the 2nd highest gas prices, New Hampshire the 5th, Georgia the 9th, etc.). Yet, Tom O'Halleran and Tammy Duckworth want to make us more dependent on foreign energy by imposing higher taxes and regulations on America's energy industry, which will only make the problem even worse and embolden our enemies by handing them revenues from our energy dependence and our energy imports from countries in throes of terrorism or tyranny. But Marco Rubio's energy plan will finally, finally, get America to energy independence by encouraging oil drilling, building 40 new nuclear power plants by 2050 in order to reach to a total number of 100 nuclear power plants on the U.S. soil through encouraging tax credits for advanced nuclear projects and through an expansion early stage cooperation with countries interested in adopting nuclear energy to make us number one in nuclear energy production and exportation. He will use a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies, including wind, solar, nuclear, hydroelectricy, geothermal and tidal energies. We'll encourage the development and use of flex-fuel, hybrid and electric automobiles. This is an ambitious and responsible plan that will create millions of new jobs and make sure that we will, at the same time, improve our ecological footprint and provide a clean environment.

This is an agenda that will also reinforce Arizona's status as a leader in energy production as Arizona is ranked as the third best state in the nation for solar energy production (since the state added 416.6 megawatts of new capacity statewide in 2017, making it the 7th fastest growing solar market in the U.S. for a total of 3,399.5 megawatts). It will also deprive anti-American forces of revenues from our dependence from foreign energy through our imports of energy from countries either opressed by anti-American regimes or in throes of terrorism, revenues that would have otherwise financed their plans of terrorist attacks on us and our allies. So this plan will also keep this country safe against anyone seeking to harm our people.

My friends, the stakes of this election are too high for you to stay home on Election Day because this election is about America's future and that's why we need all of you to go to the polls to keep our Senate majority and to elect Marco Rubio as our President so we can move this country forward and get America to long-term prosperity and full employment through free enterprise, tax reform, middle-class tax relief, energy independence, free trade and infrastructure development, to the protection of your constitutional rights, to decent access to health care and education for all and to get us to long-term global peace and national security through a strong national defense, strong diplomacy, strong alliances and strong American leadership. That way, America's best days will be ahead of us and our children and grandchildren will inherit a rising shining America and we need your support to make it happen.

Thank you! God bless you! God bless Arizona and God bless the United States of America!

So, question for the presidential and vice presidential nominees before we proceed to the next turn: how do we want to run the debates?

My thoughts were one of two options:

A) A debate more like mine, wherein you give an opening statement, answer three questions, and give a closing statement, preferably with at least 100 words each. Whether or not we do rebuttals is up to the participants.

B) A debate more like the ones NTP held for the primaries, where there would be more questions, but answers do not have to be anything more than a sentence or two. Rebuttals are also optional and will be applied as per the desires of the debate participants.

I tend to prefer option A, as I can be verbose. But, either one is honestly fine!

Rubio, Duckworth trade attacks as first debate looms

With the first debate looming, Vice President Rubio and Senator Duckworth have made little effort to tone down their swings at each other in what many more cynical pundits are comparing to "a repeat of 2016," which they view as a disappointment given the generally agreed-upon promise of both candidates. With little more than a month left until the election, both candidates have net positive approval ratings, but both are down to net positive single digits, compared to ~ net +20 when their respective nominations were confirmed in April. Whether said approvals will upswing following the debate is yet to be seen.

Florida, Arizona Senate races shift toward Republicans following Rubio's intervention; Michigan shifts toward Democrats

Two GOP Senate candidates can rest easier in their bids, as the Vice President's time in their states appears to have galvanized them to some degree. In Florida, Republican Representative Greg Steube is now polling 8-10 points ahead of Democrat Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, while Martha McSally's Arizona Senate race, once considered a tossup, has shifted back in her favor following Rubio's blistering attack against Democratic nominee Tom O'Halleran. Fortunately for the Democrats, however, there is some ray of hope, as GOP vice presidential nominee John James is now facing a tossup race for re-election in Michigan, with a late September swing through the state by Duckworth bringing in significant support for his opponent, former Senator Gary Peters. Time will tell how these Senate races will finally land.

Violence erupts as Supreme Court strikes down Roe 5-4

In a decision made by the narrowest of margins, the Supreme Court has voted to reverse its decision in Roe v. Wade, and so deny that a woman has a constitutional right to an abortion. Dissenting were all three liberal justices, as well as newly appointed Justice Brian Sandoval, who stated on Twitter "I made a promise to the American people when I said I would not vote to bring down Roe for political reasons. I have kept that promise." This led to many liberals bashing Justice Brett Kavanaugh, who had also denied that he would rule in such a way. Violence spilled into the streets of the capital beginning just hours after the decision was announced, in defiance of Police Chief Newsham's best attempts to keep order. Martial law has been declared in Washington until the rioting can be contained and ended. The President has retired to Mar-a-Lago for the time being, and the Vice President to his own Florida residence. Chief Justice Roberts has announced that he will resign from the Court effective January 21, 2025, "so that the new President, and thereby the people, may choose my replacement."

Kim Yo-Jong releases 10,000 political prisoners in bid to reassure suspicious foreign leaders

Kim Yo-Jong, leader of North Korea, announced yesterday that she would be releasing 10,000 political prisoners effective immediately, stating that "here is proof that the leaders of the other great nations of the world need not fear that we commit any of the crimes they have falsely laid upon our doorstep." All prisoners, upon inspection by media officials (who were allowed to do so by the North Korean government), proved to be in good physical and mental condition, and in fact praised the North Korean criminal justice system as "the fairest and most reasonable in all the world." Detractors, however, have pointed out that none of these prisoners appear to have spent any significant period of time incarcerated, and that many of their statements, upon review by police investigators, appeared to have been coerced. Furthermore, none of the released prisoners have been given leave to exit the country for any reason, leading many to suspect they might express a different opinion of the regime if allowed to speak freely outside the Democratic People's Republic. Which narrative is correct is uncertain without further inspection.

Istantinople violence begins to mellow as UN peacekeepers arrest numerous troublemaker leaders

The newly formed Municipal Republic of Istantinople has finally seen a dropoff in violence following the arrival of 15,000 UN peacekeeper forces from 20 different nations. Several known ringleaders of violent "troublemaker" organizations have been arrested or forced to flee in response to these peacekeepers, with much of their support petering out as a result. Among them are Konstantine Ikonopoulos, leader of the Byzantine League, a pro-Greek group which attacked peaceful protesters demanding that the Hagia Sophia remain a museum, rather than being converted back into a church or a mosque, as well as Abdul al-Hajid, leader of the Istanbul Islamic Coalition, a group associated with several more global Islamist terror organizations, and which has orchestrated numerous murders of prominent Christians in the city. Many hope the violence will continue to decline, but time will tell whether this will occur.

China announces social credit will be back "with better protection" in early 2025

Following a hack attack that crippled much of Chinese society by randomizing social credit scores, Chinese President Xi Jinping announced that social credit would go back online "with better protection" in the opening months of 2025. The attack is expected to have cost the Chinese economy at least $1 trillion in revenues while the subsequent crisis was sorted out. Numerous "hacktivist" groups have condemned the Chinese government for this. Anonymous was particularly scathing, stating "If Pooh Bear is so desirous of his beloved system of oppression and censorship, to the point that not even its extremely costly exploitation will make him see sense, we believe it is in China's best interest that he be removed for power posthaste, and replaced with someone who understands the necessity of freedom for human beings." A spokesperson for the organization, who refused to be identified, claimed that "we will do all in our power to ensure that President Xi and his tyrannical regime are put to rest as soon and as peaceably as possible." Asked if such would involve launching attacks similar to the one perpetrated last month, the spokesperson said only "that is for the members of our organization to decide." Other hacker groups have given similar responses to questioning. The Chinese government has refused to comment on these statements.

FIRST PRESIDENTIAL DEBATE 2024
Wallace: Good evening. I'm Chris Wallace of Fox News.

Maddow: And I'm Rachel Maddow of MSNBC.

Wallace: And we are here at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania, to bring you the first presidential debate of the election cycle.

Maddow: Indeed we are. Now, we have here tonight the two main contenders for President, Vice President Marco Rubio and Senator Tammy Duckworth.

Wallace: Each candidate will give an opening statement, answer three general and two personal questions, and give a closing statement. With that established, let's begin:

General 1:
Many pundits have criticized the negativity of this campaign. What is one thing you can say you truly respect about your opponent?

General 2:
The courts have ruled in one of the most consequential decisions of this decade. What are each of your responses to this issue?

General 3:
With Russia, Iran, and North Korea now seemingly moving toward greater openness to the world, what will you do to continue this trend as President?

Rubio 1:
The President has now openly voiced support for the hacker groups threatening to cause further mayhem in China if social credit is reinstated. Do you agree with the President on this issue?

Rubio 2:
Despite the fact that both you and Senator James are nonwhite, the Trump coalition appears to have lined up behind you in most places. Do you believe that this flies in the faces of the common narrative that Trump won the White House on the back of racial resentment?

Duckworth 1:
Many have called you a “spiritual successor” to former President Obama, as a nonwhite Senator from Illinois who has risen quickly on the political scene. Do you welcome these comparisons to Obama, or do you believe the party should move past its nostalgic yearning for the Obama years?

Duckworth 2:
With a single decision, the Supreme Court has struck down fifty years of it being unconstitutional to deny a woman the right to choose. What will you do as President to protect a woman’s right to choose even as red states begin to clamp down on it?

(Debate responses will be due at the end of the turn.)

Tammy’s plan for reproductive justice

  • Codify Roe v Wade through Congress
  • Repeal the Hyde Amendment
  • Guarantee reproductive healthcare is covered by both public and private insurance
  • Repeal the Trump administration’s gag rule
  • Block TRAP laws under the Supremacy Clause of the Constitution
  • Comprehensive sex ed in schools as a federal requirement
  • Expand access to contraception
  • Commit to only appointing judges that support Roe
1

Excerpt from the medium post outlining the plan:

“Republicans swore Roe was settled law of the land and that they were just looking for some restrictions not totally banning abortion entirely. Now we see our fears were founded, as the Supreme Court has struck down Roe. Let’s make something clear, this decision hasn’t banned abortion, it’s just allowed states to ban safe abortions. People of color and the economically disadvantaged are the ones who will suffer from this onerous GOP lie. As much as people are angry and scared right now, and rightfully so, just know the majority is on our side, over two-thirds of our country disagree with this decision, even just over half of Republicans. The Supreme Court not only went against precedent but against the will of the people. America needs a President who will fight for the rights of every single person, not one who will sit idly by and allow an extremist court to overturn settled law.”

Iowa is a great example of tax reform and free enterprise as the right solutions to our economic challenges.

CNBC's list of "Top States for Business in 2010" has ranked Iowa as the sixth best state in the nation. Scored in 10 individual categories, Iowa was ranked 1st when it comes to the cost of doing business, 12th when it comes to business friendliness, 16th in education, 17th in both the cost of living and the quality of life, 20th in workforce, 29th in technology and innovation and 32nd in transportation. While Forbes Magazine ranked Des Moines among the top 10 of the best places in America to do business, it ranked this city at the first place in 2010 and 2013, which means that Des Moines was described as the best place to do business in the United States. This is mostly due to strong educational attainment (with 36 % of Des Moines' population who has a college degree and 92 % of this city's population who possesses a high school diploma) and also because energy costs here are 22 % below the national average, the cost of living in Des Moines is 10 % below the national average and business costs here are 18 % below the national average. Economic growth here outpaced the U.S. as a whole by 68 % since 2010. Here is an example of this matter of fact : Des Moines is a major center for the insurance industry and has a sizable financial services and publishing business base. And Des Moines is the headquarters for the Principal Financial Group, Meredith Corp., Ruan Transportation, EMC Insurance, Wellmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, MidAmerican Energy Company and Firestone Agricultural Tire Company.

So Des Moines is a remarkable symbol of the fact that America's prosperity comes from free enterprise and free market as well as ingenuity, hard-work and entrepreneurship of the American people, not come from tax-hike and big government policies. But unfortunately, that is exactly the kind of agenda that Tammy Duckworth adopts as she voted time and time again against reducing taxes and in favor of increasing them. She wants to roll back the tax-cut policies of the last 8 years and increase taxes on hard-working Americans, families and businesses and make America a harder place to do business, which will kill jobs, ship jobs and U.S. companies overseas in addition of seeking to make us more dependent on foreign energy through higher regulations and taxes on America's energy industry instead of taking advantage of all of our sources of energy here at home and she wants us to trade only with 5 % of the world economy (which is the percentage the U.S. are representating in the world market).

But as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, I know what it takes to encourage job creation as we did in the last 8 years through the tax cut and free enterprise policies adopted by President Trump that created 7 and a half million new jobs and brought our unemployment rate at a 50-year low. And through his business expertise, John James, my running mate, knows fully well that America's success and expanding opportunity requires promoting free enterprise and tax reform. Under a Rubio Administration, we will keep taxes low, reduce middle-class taxes, preserve and strengthen America's status as the land of opportunity. We will fully utilize our energy resources so we can get America to energy independence by taking advantage of all of our sources of energy and investing a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies so we can promote both job creation and an improvement of our ecological footprint. And we'll expand free trade to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy as goods and services crossing borders will favor new ideas and models and allow our producers to learn about the market through the failure and success of traded products. While learning more, they will be able to innovate to remain competitive. And in the process, we will also allow American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. That way, we will get America to long-term economic prosperity and full-employment and preserve America's greatness, promise and status as the land of oppportunity.

Thank you. God bless Iowa and God bless the United States of America.

He touted the SC's decision as defending the life of the unborn, including those coming at the very end of pregnancy, and as respecting state powers as well as the interests of taxpayers (as their hard-earned money would not be taken away by the government in order to fund Planned Parenthood) while extremism has become mainstream among the Dems who would tolerate abortion even right up until delivery, even at the very end of pregnancy just as a woman is going into labor and even when the life of the mother is not in danger. He reiterates that as President he will put forward adoption laws in order to promote adoption as an alternative to abortion as it would allow couples who don't want a baby or are not ready to have a baby not to have one without killing him. That way, this baby will have the privilege to live and to be loved. That's how every child, born and unborn, will be protected in law and welcomed into life.

Michigan needs a fighter who will stand up for the interests of Michiganders and all the American people and stand up to big corrupt special interests. But unfortunately, Gary Peters has sided time and again with special interests. Peters is a hypocrite : he talks about getting tough on Wall Street but Wall Street isn't worried about him. Peters spent 20 years as a Wall Street insider himself and he took more than $2 million of campaign donations from Wall Street bankers and the financial industry in addition of helping to make too big to fail Wall Street firms even bigger. His record doesn't reflect with the interests of American automakers. At the time he ran the Michigan Lottery, Peters allowed outsourcing a state contract to China. And he supported a half billion dollar taxpayer funded loan to a company that built cars overseas then went bankrupt, before being sold to Chinese owners. With American automakers struggling, Gary Peters outsourced our money on bad loans to foreign car manufacturers. Using our taxes to hurt our auto industry isn’t putting Michigan first, that is not putting America first. But you have a fighter in John James. He ran businesses that created jobs right here in America by managing and optimizing customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through a design and implementation of complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. He made that company a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry, thus contributing to a thriving American auto industry. And in the Senate, he spent each and every day to keep taxes low for the sake of a strong economy, of a strong purchasing power for the American people and the preservation of our America's status as a place open for business in addition of providing strong support to our veterans. That's why we need all of you to mobilize on Election Day so we will keep our majority in Congress and keep Michigan red so we will put America first and pursue America's economic growth through lower taxes and keep this country safe.

Pennsylvania is among the states mostly hit by the Opioid Crisis. In fact Pennsylvania has the 11th highest rate of youth affected by the opioid epidemic and the state suffered 37.9 per 100,000 of the 64,070 overdose deaths in 2016.

During my time the Senate I have successfully co-sponsored the Fentanyl Sanctions Act of 2019, a bipartisan anti-opioid measure to impose sanctions against Chinese and other foreign traffickers of fentanyl. And in 2018, I championned provisions to the SUPPORT Act, the single largest legislative package addressing a single drug crisis in history, to help stop payments to middlemen referring patients to illicit sober homes and treatment centers; an amendment to improve the quality of care provided to newborn babies suffering from opioid withdrawal by providing states additional funding to research babies born with Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome; the Hospice Safe Drug Disposal Act to allow hospice providers to safely dispose of unused opioids so they do not end up in the wrong hands; the Sober Home Fraud Detection Act to help states, law enforcement, private insurers and patients identify potentially illicit sober homes to make sure those who need care are able to find reputable legitimate facilities; the SALTS Act that made it easier for law enforcement to prosecute those that sell and distribute synthetic drugs that are substantially similar to other illegal drugs by closing a loophole that enabled wrongdoers to avoid prosecution by simply labeling the deadly drug as “not intended for human consumption”; and the Synthetics Trafficking and Overdose Prevention (STOP) Act, legislation to interdict fentanyl, synthetic opioids, and other narcotics by requiring international shipments though the U.S. Postal Service to provide advance information on where the shipment is coming from, where it is going, and its contents, and to instruct U.S. Postal Service and Customs and Border Protection to develop technology to identify fentanyl and illicit opioids entering the United States by mail.

And here's my plan on that issue : #1 Reducing demand and over-prescription, including educating Americans about the dangers of opioid misuse. #2 Cutting down on the supply of illicit drugs by cracking down on the international and domestic drug supply chains that devastate American communities. And #3 Helping those struggling with addiction through evidence-based treatment and recovery support services.

That's why I ask you to join us in this fight, because our security, the American people's health and our children's future depends on it because our children's future is worth fighting for.

Marco Rubio's TV Ad

In an effort to appeal among voters who selected the economy as the most important issue, the Rubio campaign broadcasts an ad emphasizing on the economic growth of the last 8 years thanks to the tax cut and free enterprise policies adopted by the Trump Administration as well as on the Republican ticket's qualifications to keep this economy growing and pursue job creation.

Title : Forward

Airing : Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska's 2nd congressional district, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin

Forward ad narration :

Source(s) : Own creation; Own creation
Narrator : Eight years ago, our economy was experiencing its slowest pace in history due to increased taxes and big government imposed by the Obama Administration and supported by Tammy Duckworth. The stock market was starting to stagnate and our GDP annual growth rate was stuck under 2 % in the few months preceding President Trump's coming to office. We lost 300 000 manufacturing jobs, including 37 000 in Ohio, 18 000 in Wisconsin and 45 000 in Pennsylvania. Under the previous administration, the Hispanic unemployment rate has hit one of its highest rates in history and the youth unemployment rate its highest level in our nation’s history.

But here we are, 8 years later : thanks to the adoption of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act by President Trump, the largest tax cut legislation in history that Marco Rubio helped pass through his legislation effort to double the Child Tax Credit from $1000 to $2000, and to the elimination of the death tax and of the marriage penalty tax we provided the strongest economic growth in modern history that made America the best place in the world to do business, reduced taxes for all Americans, helped create 7 and a half million new jobs, including 500 000 manufacturing jobs, brought our national unemployment rate at its lowest rate in more than 50 years and brought the Hispanic and African-American unemployment rates at their lowest ever recorded.

Thanks to those pro-growth policies, our middle-class is stronger than ever before as the Institute for Taxation and Economic Policy reports that a family of four with annual income of $73,000 (median family income) saw a tax cut of more than $2,058, a 58 percent reduction in federal taxes. A single parent with one child earning $41 000 a year saw a tax cut of $1,304, a 73 percent reduction in federal taxes. Nine out of ten taxpayers with annual income between $64,000 and $108,000 earned an average federal tax cut of $1400 in 2018. And 90 %  taxpayers winning between $40,000 and $64,000 got an average federal tax cut of $810, while 87 percent of taxpayers with annual income between $108,000 and $232,000 saw an average federal tax cut of $2,710. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act doubled the standard deduction for an individual from $6,000 to $12,000 and for a family from $12,000 to $24,000. 105 million Americans took the standard deduction according to the IRS statistics of income (SOI) database.

Despite those positive results, Tammy Duckworth voted against the TCJA in addition of opposing the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act as well as the elimination of the inheritance tax and voting in favor of the death tax and the marriage penalty tax. No wonder that she wants to increase taxes and make America a harder place to do business, punish success, ship jobs and businesses overseas and make us more dependent on foreign energy, which will undo the progress of the last 8 years.

There is still work to do in order to achieve prosperity for all Americans and the right person for the job is Marco Rubio.

Own creation
In 2013, he co-sponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which required the Small Business Administration to conduct an annual study to estimate the total cost of regulations on small businesses. He served as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, making strong contributions to America's prosperity by passing legislation protecting the interests of American small businesses and reducing taxes on them, thus reinforcing their competitiveness, productivity and their ability to expand, to innovate, to sell and to create good-paying jobs. No wonder that small businesses such as Industrial Weldors & Machinists in Minnesota, Guy Chemical Company in Pennsylvania, Hinee Gourmet Coffee in Texas, Deckscapes in Virginia, Advanced Superabrasives in North Carolina, Rockford Ball Screw in Illinois, Northwest Motor Services in Washington, WebHobby Shop in Michigan and Junk King in Nevada are expanding operations, increasing wages, providing new benefits, and hiring more employees.

Own creation
Marco Rubio will be helped by John James, a man who ran businesses such as the James Group International and created jobs by managing and optimizing the company's customer’s supply chain infrastructures and processes through designing and implementing complex supply chain solutions and leveraging information technology. As CEO, he grew the company into a major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry. And as a U.S. Senator, he fought every single day for the promotion of economic opportunity through lower taxes and free enterprise.

There's no more qualified team to manage the economy than the Rubio/James ticket.

Under their leadership, we will keep taxes low so you can keep more of your hard-earned money and so we will preserve America's status as the best business-friendly environment in the world, we will reduce middle-class taxes from 22 % to 15 % while indexing capital gains for inflation and creating a tax-preferred savings vehicle for the sake of a stronger American middle-class, which is key to a strong economy.

We're going to get America to energy independence by taking advantage of our oil, gas, coal, nuclear, wind, solar, geothermal, tide, hydroelectric energies, invest a part of oil drilling revenues into the development of renewable energies instead of doing so by taking away taxpayers' money. We'll promote free trade with our allies to make our country the most competitive nation in the world economy and to make certain that American businesses will be able to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments.

Own creation
We will make infrastructure development a top priority by investing into it as well as by reducing the federal gasoline tax rate by 80 %; vetoing any gas-tax increase; turning back control of the highways to the states; stopping special interests in Washington from building “Bridges to Nowhere” and engaging in other wasteful spending; freeing states from the strings that come attached to federal funding; removing barriers to public-private partnerships; repealing the Davis-Bacon Act that inflates government costs by billions every year and is a giveaway of taxpayer dollars to labor unions and phasing out the Mass Transit Account, which loots the Highway Trust Fund.

Own creation; Own creation
The choice of this election : either we move back to economic sluggish through job-killing tax-hike and big government policies or we pursue America’s progress through the promotion of tax reform and free enterprise. And that's why the Rubio/James ticket is the clear choice for this election in the process of moving America forward and guaranteeing prosperity for all through their proven and steady leadership.

Marco Rubio : I'm Marco Rubio and I approve this message.

Tammy Duckworth Runs Ad 'Courts' in AZ, TX, IA, MN, NE-2, IA, MI, WI, OH, PA, NC, GA, VA, and FL

"First, in spite of no precedent, Senate Republicans refused to give President Obama's Supreme Court nominee a hearing, in spite of his Constitutional right to fill the vacancy."

"Then, in spite of losing the popular vote, Donald Trump won the Electoral College, and Senate Republicans got to work reading over the Federalist Society's pre-approved list of judges with ring wing tendencies."

"With another vacancy, this extremist group got exactly what they wanted, a majority on the Supreme Court."

"The Court got to work, not protecting and upholding the Constitution, but by chipping away at the Affordable Care Act and the rights of LGBTQ Americans."

"Now, the Supreme Court has upended precedent and overturned Roe v Wade, putting millions of Americans at risk for the sake of galvanizing a small but vocal minority."

"Tammy Duckworth has a plan to reform the courts and has promised to only appoint justices that will fight for LGBTQ rights and reproductive healthcare."

"She won't sell your rights out for a special interest group's list of pre-approved judges and will appoint judges that are beholden to the Constitution, not the Federalist Society. Can we say the same about Marco Rubio?"

"This November, the court is on the ballot, LGBTQ rights are on the ballot, affordable healthcare is on the ballot, Roe v Wade is on the ballot."

Tammy Duckworth Holds Press Conference on Released Prisoners in North Korea

“Releasing prisoners from a physical prison just to disallow them from travel outside the country is an obvious political farce, especially when the country in question has no real free speech protections. It remains all too clear that the situation has not changed over the past month, and the US should tread carefully with our dealings with North Korea. I hope the President and Congress will work with the international community to push North Korea to allow the released prisoners to exit the country freely so we can get an honest discussion moving forward."

Strong American leadership, effective diplomacy as well as to the deployment of tens of thousands of UN peacekeeper forces in Istantinople and to their courage and vigilance provided a dropoff of violence in this new municipal Republic. Several identified ringleaders of both major violent "troublemaker" organizations, including Konstantine Ikonopoulos (leader of pro-Greek nationalist group Byzantine League, a pro-Greek nationalist group shooting peaceful protesters asking for the protection of their freedom) and Abdul al-Hajid (leader of the Istanbul Islamic Coalition, a group associated with several more global Islamist terror organizations and which has orchestrated numerous murders of prominent Christians in the city), whose extremist organizations will be labeled as terrorist under my presidential leadership. These are good news for the maintenance of freedom of religion, security and democracy. Thanks to the brave work of UN peacekeeper forces, we’re going to defeat those extremist groups and restore security and stability in Istantinople and make sure that the gains we obtained from the recently successful peaceful talks with Turkey in the aftermath of our victory in Operation Ceasefire won’t be lost and will not be in vain.

Own creation
Thanks to the restoration of strong American leadership, to our standing up with our allies in the Pacific and to strong diplomacy, we finally got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea, which restored peace and stability in the Korean peninsula. And when I'm President, we're going to accomplish our path to a nuclear-free world and to the elimination of any risk of nuclear war thanks to the ratification of the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty that will prohibit the use of fissile material for the purpose of building nuclear weapons or weapons of mass destruction. And we are now 2 weeks away from a democratic, free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament and as they pledged last year, reforms will be brought to the local government and that ties between themselves and South Korea will be developped as North Korea is opening its economy to the rest of the world. That's enormous progress, one of the biggest achievements we've accomplished since the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Cold War. And right now, they announced the release of 10,000 political prisoners which is a good start. But none of the released prisoners have been given leave to exit the country for any reason. So here is my plan to guarantee their full freedom and their right to travel outside North Korea. If I'm the President of the United States, we're going to negotiate with North Korea along with our allies to grant amnesty for North Korea's political prisoners so they will be allowed to leave North Korea like it happened in 1978 when the United States successfully negotiated that kind of issue with the Castro regime who granted amnesty to Cuban political prisoners ahead of the Mariel boatlift two years later and like Mikhail Gorbachev has, at the approach of the end of the Cold War (thanks to Ronald Reagan's defense build-up and strong leadership and diplomacy), shut down Gulags, released all political prisoners and guaranteed amnesty for them in 1987, which is why political prisoners were given the option to emigrate. And thanks to the election of a democratic government in Pyongyang on next October 23 and to the restoration of the respect of human rights and free speech, we will ensure the success of such negotiations and the political prisoners released in North Korea will see their free speech protected and will be granted the right to travel outside the country. That way, we will make sure that the restoration of freedom, human rights, free speech, free press, peace and stability in the Korean peninsula will be complete for the sake of long-term global peace through strength, which is a goal that will be accomplished thanks to my foreign policy experience and leadership that helped rebuild our military, helped restore freedom in Venezuela, helped President Trump to defeat ISIS, officially got Iran to denuclearize through my 2021 diplomatic mission there and will keep America safe thanks to the promotion of American leadership to make sure that our children and grandchildren will inherit a world in which they will earn the priviledge to experience freedom and peace.

VP Rubio also praises Shope’s leadership as State House Speaker pro tempore in which he co-sponsored a bill to classify pornography as a public health crises, advocated tax-cut and pro-growth economic policies that created jobs and growth, worked for adequate funding for police, fire and emergency services and worked to improve educational opportunities for everyone. He called on the people of AZ-01 to elect T.J. -Speech in Akron, OH where VP Rubio responds to Duckworth’s recent TV ad on Courts and calling out the Democrats’ extremism on abortion (as they would tolerate abortion even right up until delivery, even at the very end of pregnancy just as a woman is going into labor and even when the life of the mother is not in danger) and offering adoption as an alternative to abortion as it would allow couples who don't want a baby or are not ready to have a baby not to have one without having to end the newborn’s life. He also blasts Duckworth’s position in favor of taking taxpayers’ money to fund Planned Parenthood, indicating her answering to such special interest groups over the right of the unborn to appreciate life. On Duckworth’s attack on Republicans on Obamacare, he calls out Duckworth’s support to Obamacare that provided false promises, reminding voters that Obama’s Obamacare promise that « if you like your health insurance plan you can keep it, if you like your doctor you can keep it » was rated as 2013’s lie of the year even by left-leaning organization Politifact as millions of Americans saw their health insurance cancelled against their will under Obamacare. He takes on the occasion to reiterate his health care plan that will protect the pre-existing conditions and allowing small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem could result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them (which will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs) and will also allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts. On Supreme Court, Rubio calls out the Democrats’ radicalism as Duckworth supported Merrick Garland’s SCOTUS nomination even though Garland voted in favor of a rehear a three-judge panel of the D.C. Circuit Court that struck down D.C.’s handgun ban, which would have cleared the way for a reconsideration of the District of Columbia v. Heller (a landmark case in which the Supreme Court of the United States held that the Second Amendment protects an individual's right to keep and bear arms) and an overturn of that landmark case, which would have deprived the American people of their gun rights and would have meant that no individual and no American would have any right to keep and bear arms for their self-defense, indicating Duckworth’s support to writing the Second Amendment out of the Bill of Rights, which is an extreme position not consistent with the overwhelming majority of Americans. He takes on the occasion to reiterate his pledge to nominate conservatives who will protect America's constitutional rights and follow and respect the Constitution.

Own creation
In the last 8 years, America's prosperity has been provided thanks to the successful renegotiation of NAFTA by President Trump and to the ratification of the USMCA, which Marco Rubio and I voted for in the U.S. Senate, and thus we turned things around : this new deal boosted auto manufacturing by requiring 75% of a vehicle's parts to be made in one of the 3 signatory countries in order to remain free from tariffs when moving between the U.S., Canada and Mexico, by strengthening labor laws, by keeping tariffs at zero while further opening up the Canadian market to US dairy, poultry and eggs and allowing more Canadian dairy, peanuts and peanut products to cross the border. As a result, we added 76 000 auto jobs in the last 5 years, increased exports and imports and strengthened our competitiveness in the world economy, contributing to the strong economic prosperity America is now living through the creation of 7 million jobs, including 500 000 in the manufacturing sector, and brought our unemployment rate in the lowest rate in 50 years.

As President, Marco Rubio will champion free trade for the sake of our competitiveness in the world economy and our prosperity. We're going to ratify free trade deals with our allies in the Asia-Pacific, Latin America and Europe, thus counter-balancing China's trade power and ensuring strong job creation by lowering tariffs, increasing exports and imports, reducing the cost of trading, allowing American businesses to make direct investments into foreign economies to produce goods at a lower cost in these environments. The reason why we were losing jobs because of the deals under the Obama administration is that we had the highest corporate tax rate in the industrialized world (40 % and has, fortunately, been reduced to 21 % under Trump) while Singapore had the lowest (17 %) which is why they are prospering and have one of the lowest unemployment rates in the world. That's why we'll reduce our corporate tax rate to 15 % to make America the best place in the world to do business taxes for all businesses across the country, including manufacturing businesses, in order to make it easy for them to do business in America. That way, we will protect the interests of the our manufacturing workers while promoting free trade at the same time. As a CEO of James Group International and as a proven job creator that also evolved that company into a major major trading partner with Michigan’s auto industry, I know that free trade is beneficial for our automobile industry. The reason of Mexico's advantage over us in terms of auto manufacturing was because Mexico had free trade agreements with 45 countries while the U.S. had free trade deals with only 20 countries. So if we expand free trade with our allies, friends and partners across the globe, we will reinforce auto manufacturing and make America number one again in auto production. We know how to get our country there. As Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Marco Rubio knows what it takes to keep this economy growing and as Vice-President he knows what it is to negotiate decent deals with foreign leaders because that's what he did in order to get things done as he traveled with President Trump around the world. If you want a proven leader who knows how to get us to such a competitive, dynamic and soaring economy for the sake of permanent prosperity, I ask you to join our campaign to grant opportunity for all.

1-5th: Pennsylvania

Campaign alongside Senate candidate Dwight Evans throughout time in Pennsylvania
Joint rally in Philadelphia
Joint Townhalls on enshrining Roe and reforming the courts in Chester, Wayne, and Doylestown
Joint rally in Allentown
Joint rally in Reading
Joint rally in Lancaster
Joint rally in Harrisburg
Joint townhalls en route to Pittsburg
Large rally in Pittsburg with Senator Conor Lamb and Senate candidate Dwight Evans
Townhalls in New Castle, Grove City, and Meadville
Joint rally in Erie with President Obama

"I don't know about all of you, but I'm sick of Republican leadership's hypocrisy. When President Obama was in office, they lambasted him for negotiating with Cuba, for signing the Iran Nuclear Deal with international support, and claimed he was being partisan with judicial appointments. Now, we have an administration that believes dictators before democratically elected allies. We have an administration that is suddenly trying to sell the American people a lie that they are actually the ones that value coalition-building abroad, in spite of neglecting it for eight years. And we all know what happened with the court. Just eight years ago, Republicans were all in agreement about not nominating a Supreme Court justice in an election year, and when my colleagues and I pushed them to hold Trump to the same standards they held President Obama to, they cried partisanship. America needs to have a functional government again, and we so desperately need change."

6-8th: Wisconsin

Campaign with Senate candidate Mark Pocan
Joint rally in Milwaukee
Rallies in Kenosha and Waukesha
Joint rally in Madison, highlighting the fact that the Supreme Court is on the ballot

"Marco Rubio wants you to believe that Democrats are radical in our pro-choice stance, but the truth is, Republicans are the radical ones here. Well over two-thirds of Americans, upwards of 75% in some polls, support Roe v Wade as settled law. Now, instead of fighting against inequality, giving Americans a raise, or working to stabilize our healthcare system, Republicans have time and time again litigated Roe and actively worked to overturn it. It's an extreme, radical position that we must overwhelmingly defeat in November. We know exactly what's at stake."

Joint rally in Janesville
Joint rally with Senator Jeff Merkley in Sheboygan
Rally in Fond du Lac with Mark Pocan and Tammy Baldwin

9-10th: Ohio
Campaign with Senator Sherrod Brown
Joint rally in Columbus

"Serving in the Senate with Sherrod Brown has been a wonderful experience, he is a fighter for the interests of Ohio. Whether it's fighting for fairer trade deals, working to expand access to healthcare, or raising the minimum wage, he has put people before corporate interests. Next month, America will go to the polls, and it's not enough for us to win the White House, we have to win Congress to work on building a fairer America where the American Dream isn't only available to those born into wealth. Sherrod Brown is the exact kind of leader that we so desperately need in the Senate."

Rally in Springfield
Joint rally with President Obama in Dayton
Joint rally with Sen Brown in Cincinnati

11-13th:
Texas
Alternate campaigning with Senate candidates Julian Castro and Jessica Cisneros
Joint rally with Castro in Houston
Townhalls in The Woodlands, College Station, and Waco
Joint rally with Cisneros in Dallas
Joint rally with Cisneros in Fort Worth
Townhalls in Temple and Round Rock
Joint rally with both Senate candidates in Austin

"Next month is the time that we finally flip Texas blue! It's when we say enough is enough to the Republican Party according to Trump and we move our country past this chaotic Presidency. As your President, I will fight for your values, that means putting money into infrastructure and not into taking your land for a border wall that's nothing but symbolic. We will work to stabilize our healthcare system by giving Americans a public option and undoing the Republicans' Trojan Horse gutting of the individual mandate through their corporate tax cut. I'll fight to give your families a raise and provide paid leave and universal childcare, allowing everyone a shot at the American Dream. As your President, I will restore the effort to pass the DREAM Act, rather than this administration's policy of tearing families apart. But, Texas, I can't do it alone. We need a Congress that works for you, not dark money special interest groups that have benefitted from the status quo. We need to send Jessica Cisneros and Julian Castro to Washington to get to work at fixing what's broken and get to work for Texas."

14th: Arizona

Campaign with Senate candidate Tom O'Halleran
Joint rally in Tucson
Townhalls in Elroy, Marana, and Mesa
Joint rally in Phoenix with O’Halleran and Vice Presidential candidate Gallego

"Tom O'Halleran has been a tireless advocate for Arizona, and we need him in the United States Senate. Unlike his Republican opponent, who was gleefully cheering on taking healthcare away from millions of Arizonans, Tom was fighting to keep your healthcare costs down, working on bipartisan solutions to stabilize the ACA and protect Social Security rather than being a party-line vote. The truth is, Tom is a lot like Arizona, he's an independent thinker who isn't beholden to one group or another but works for real solutions. Arizona doesn't need a party-line voter who jumps when leadership jumps, Arizona needs a voice as independent as this state."

15th:

Vice Presidential nominee Ruben Gallego schedule

Ruben Gallego by Gage Skidmore, on Flickr

Governor Gallego will follow the lead of the top of the ticket and hold joint events with key Senate candidates, with a focus on his own region, the Southwest. The Governor will begin the month of October stumping for the ticket in Nevada, with events in Reno and Vegas alongside Zach Conine, where he will campaign on the tickets experience as veterans, and how they will keep the United States out of war. The Governor will then cross over into his home state, Arizona, and campaign alongside Tom O’Halleran, focusing on outreach to Native communities, energizing them to support Duckworth and O’Halleran as they supported him in his gubernatorial elections. Finally, Gallego will campaign alongside both candidates in Texas, with events in El Paso, San Antonio, and Houston, where he will focus on boosting turnout in the suburbs and among Hispanic voters, highlighting the tickets common-sense gun reform proposals, plan for immigration reform, and increased investment in education and healthcare.

Marco Rubio's response to Tammy Duckworth in Green Bay, Wisconsin

Senator Duckworth is disconnected from reality. In her obsession to undo the progress of the last 8 years, she wants you to believe that America hasn't moved any forward in the last 8 years, she just got it wrong. She talks about how Obama's nuclear deal with the old Iranian regime somehow kept us safe, but it hasn't. Senator Duckworth supported a deal that lifted sanctions on a country that was the world's largest supporter of terrorism and she supported that dangerous deal despite the fact that Iran allowed the Taliban to open an office in Zahedan, Iran and when the Quds Force, a special forces unit of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, attempted to orchestrate a terrorist attack against the Israeli embassy and the U.S. embassy in Azerbaijan, were running a terrorist cell in Bahrain that was planning to carry out a series of dangerous bombings on the kingdome before it was dismantled in 2016 by the Bahraini security forces and unsuccessfully attempted a bomb plot against the National Council of Resistance of Iran (an opposition group which styled itself as Iran's government-in-exile at the time) at a rally in Paris, France in 2018 after which France froze the old Iranian regime's financial assets. But thanks to the cancelation of this anti-American deal and to the Stop Evasion of Iran Sanctions Act of 2020 that enforced sanctions on Iran and on countries that evade our sanctions to financially support the old regime, a bill that Senator Duckworth opposed, we deprived them of the necessary tools they needed to provide war effort to global terrorism. But thanks to the election of a pro-American President like Arsham Parsi in Iran and to the diplomatic trip I led in Tehran three years ago, we got Iran to denuclearize and to stop state-sponsoring terrorism. Now Senator Duckworth is making the false claim that our administration is sacrificing our democratic principles. No. Senator Duckworth has forgotten that last year, Pyongyang has announced free and open elections for the DPRK Parliament to be held on October 23rd, 2024 and that reforms will be brought to the local government and that ties between themselves and South Korea will be developped as North Korea is opening its economy to the rest of the world. So democracy is about to be restored in there and human rights will be fully respected in the Korean peninsula. All of that has been made possible thanks to strong diplomacy, sanctions and strong American leadership that got North Korea to denuclearize. And under my presidential leadership, we're going to negotiate amnesty for political prisoners so they will be able to travel outside the country. And what Senator Duckworth just pointed out is that she would not have the courage to meet with both allies and adversaries to ensure and provide steady peace and national security like Franklin Roosevelt who met with Stalin, like JFK who met with Kruschev and like Ronald Reagan who met and worked with Gorbachev (which led us to our victory in the Cold War thanks to tough diplomacy and to the disarmament of the Soviet Union). That is the kind of leadership that got the world to the denuclearization of North Korea and under my presidency we're going to eliminate any risk of nuclear war by normalizing our relations with Polonsky's Russia and by ratifying the Fissile Material Cut-off Treaty to prohibit the use of fissile material to build dangerous weapons. That's how we're going to provide long-term global peace. Now when it comes to allies and coalition, Senator Duckworth is trying to mislead the American people, claiming that our country is acting alone in handling the threats facing our nation and that we are « neglecting » our allies. She couldn't be more wrong than this. Together with our allies, we defeated ISIS in Iraq and Syria. We worked with the French who sacrificed with us through their participation in Operation Chammal in Syria and Iraq. We worked with the British who sacrificed with us through their participation in Operation Shader in Syria and Iraq. We worked with the Canadians who sacrificed with us through their participation in Operation Impact in Syria and Iraq. We worked with Australians who sacrificed with us through their participation in Operation Okra. Senator Duckworth is demeaning the sacrifices of our allies, she suggested somehow that they shouldn't count because she wants to be able to say that our administration is neglecting our alliances. In fact she is the one who is denigrating our alliances. You can't lead an alliance if you demean and discount their sacrifices and contributions. That is not the way to win friends and allies, you're never going to add to any coalition with that kind of attitude. And last year, we and allies in the Middle East and in the Indian Subcontinent worked together to establish the Tehran Impact and just a few months ago, we and our allies successfully worked together to defeat Turkey in Operation Ceasefire through the provision of military training and arsenal to the Kurds and to through the military involvement of countries like Iraq, Greece, Iran, India, etc. So our Administration worked hard to build strong and large coalitions and that's how we defeated ISIS and that's how we won Operation Ceasefire. As President of the United States and as Commander-in-Chief, I recognize the fact that our allies are fighting, sacrificing and succeeding along with us and unlike my opponent and I will treat them with respect unlike Senator Duckworth who falsely accused Polonsky of being a puppet of President Trump in the Russian election without evidence rather than welcoming the restoration of freedom and democracy in Russia. And that's how we're going to defeat our enemies, keep our country and the whole world safe and that's how we will guarantee solid global peace through strength thanks to a strong military and to strong alliances and coalitions and the promotion of American leadership. Senator Duckworth voted more than 75 times to keep Obamacare, sticking with false promises as she is trying to feed the American people the same Obamacare lie claiming that « if you like your health insurance plan you can keep it, if you like your doctor you can keep it » as millions of Americans saw their health insurance cancelled against their will under Obamacare. She is in favor of socializing medicine and wants to impose the same failed regulations depriving hard-working taxpayers and families their health care system by taking away their hard-earned money to bailout big pharmaceutical companies. Senator Duckworth is siding with those big special interest pharmaceutical companies, but I side with the American people and that's why we're going to protect the pre-existing conditions and allow small employers to offer flexible coverage options using Healthcare Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) which typically cost less for employers than group plans and as a result, the addition of HRAs to the health care ecosystem will result in 11 million workers seeking coverage from them (which will help millions of hardworking Americans have greater access to affordable health care coverage that best meets their needs) and will also allow people to buy health insurance across state lines, make  the insurance marketplaces and subsidies to help people afford coverage and more competitive and provide tax credits to help people buy insurance among state lines while at the same time providing funding to fix Medicare and Medicaid with no cuts. Now Senator Duckworth loves talking about hypocrisy, I think she is one to talk. In effect she is a hypocrite. On tax reform for example, back in 2012 when she ran for Congress she said she was in favor of lowering taxes as a means of promoting economic growth, but her record on taxes indicates a total change of heart and is another example of her record of inconsistency as she voted against the America's Small Business Tax Relief Act, opposed the repeal of the death tax, voted in favor of the death tax and of the marriage penalty tax and voted against the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. She claims that the tax cuts of the last of 8 years only favored corporations. She simply doesn't have the facts : the tax cuts that we passed in the last 8 years helped American small businesses to grow and to create jobs. I need to remind Senator Duckworth that in her home state of Illinois, for example, Rockford Ball Screw, a small business, hired new employees and expanded their facilities by 30,000 feet because our tax-cut policies reduced small businesses's fiscal burden. That is also why Guy Chemical Company in Pennsylvania gave bonuses and pay raises and purchased new equipment. That's why Advanced Superabrasives in North Carolina invested in workforce training and gave employees three separate pay raises. That's why Hinee Gourmet Coffee in Texas gave employee raises, increased employee benefits, and upgraded equipment. That's why WebHobby Shop in Michigan raised employee wages, expanded its operations and created jobs. Despite of that progress for small businesses, Senator Duckworth voted against those tax cuts policies that got this country to prosperity. Unlike Senator Duckworth, I remained consistent on tax reform as I supported tax reform policies that helped create jobs and made America the best place in the world to do business and thanks to my effort to double the child tax credit, which helped us to pass the largest tax cuts in history, we helped creating 7 and a half million jobs, brought the unemployment rate at a 50-year low and brought the Hispanic, African-American and Asian-American unemployment rates at their lowest ever. Such progress would not have been possible if Senator Duckworth had it her way. But thanks to my experience as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, we're going to pursue and expand prosperity through lower taxes, through a middle-class tax cut, through a reinforcement of our country's status as the best business-friendly environment in the world, through energy independence, through the promotion of free trade to make us the most competitive nation in the world economy, through school choice and through a balanced budget. The choice of this election is either untested leadership and risky ideas that will move our country backwards or proven leadership that will keep moving our country forward and get us to long-term prosperity, to strong and solid national security and global peace and to the preservation and expansion of the American Dream and America's status as the land of opportunity. So if you want to pursue America's progress, then I am your candidate and that's why we need you to go to the polls in November because as West Miami City Commissioner, as Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives, as Senator, as Chairman of the Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, as Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and as Vice-President I know what it takes to fight for the interests of the American people and that's what I will keep doing as President for the sake of our country's freedom, prosperity, growth and security.
