Enthusiastically. Any Democrat who wouldn't support the nominee regardless of who it is isn't a real Democrat.

Entirely. He's my #1 choice in the primary, and will be in general if he wins.

In 2020 vs Trump yes. In 2024 probably vs a sane Republican probably not.

Against Trump, unquestionably. It would hurt my soul but there is no other responsible option. That of course assumes in the process of winning the nomination he makes peace with the establishment to an extent - if he leans hard on populism and isolationism and picks someone like Gabbard as his VP, it would become a much more difficult choice. Of course, in that case it wouldn't matter significantly as he'd lose regardless.

Yes. I would be a hypocrite if I didn't. And he is running a better campaign now than he did in 2016 too...for the most part. Though I don't think he would be able to deliver on flipping the Senate and therefore not be able to deliver on any of his promises either, but he is still preferable to Trump without a doubt.

Obviously. Though I'd prefer to have a real registered Democrat represent the Democratic Party

Me, too. Bernie is using the Dems to help his campaign instead of running on his own ticket. Then when he loses he goes back to being an Independent. I don't like that about him.

I'd vote for him but nothing more than that. I wouldn't donate or volunteer.

I am uneasy about him being 78. I don't like his past votes for the 1994 crime bill, against the Brady Bill, for gun manufacturers' immunity, or against immigration reform. I don't like that one of his staffers is a former race-baiter and two others & some he campaigns with & had appointed to DNC committees were abstentionists or even suggested Trump might be better. I don't like that a good part of his "movement" thinks that somehow we "dodged a bullet" by Trump winning, which will only be reinforced if he wins next year.

Looking ahead, I'd be disappointed that the man who was elected bragging about sexual assault would get to escape being beaten by a woman. I don't like that many older voters & some moderate voters will be turned off by the "socialist" label which will stick this time because he actually embraces it (even though it's not true). And I don't like that he leans so hard into the idea of a "revolution" (his main selling point) that even if he wins he would not happen. He has nothing to fall back on other than being a curmudgeonly old man with a reputation for extremism. This would be an election with two very bad choices for America.

Yes. One of the biggest pieces of leverage Bernie has on the rest of the field is that normie dems will vote for him pretty much regardless to defeat Trump. Meanwhile, he can always hang over our heads that his supporters may or may not vote for, for example, Harris, and screw us over. Not that that will necessarily happen, but it's definitely a solid threat that will shape how the campaign plays out.

No hes not strong enough on the metric system

I think he could be persuadable on this front, since unlike most other politicians, he is not subject to corporate influence, so if this issue gets to him from ordinary Americans, he is open to adopting it. It was corporate influence which stalled the metrication of this country; if we get rid of that, metrication could certainly advance faster than it currently is right now (IMO, most high-level officials who are reluctant to push for metrication are doing so to protect corporate profits).

You bet I would. Absolutely. Any of the Dem candidates is superior to the orange clown. Sanders is neither my first nor second, or even third, choice, but if nominated, I'd do anything to get him elected. Just as I would with Warren, Biden or anyone else with a (D).

I'll support about any decent-polling Dem that isn't "Nothing Will Fundamentally Change" Biden or Conversion Camp Gabbard. I'm even willing to suck it up and support Harris at this point despite reservations of her taking Trump money

I would vote for almost anyone over Trump, i.e. Biden, Warren, Sanders, Harris, Buttigieg, O’Rourke. I would have serious doubts about Gabbard

100%.

I'm fairly set on going out and knocking on doors for whoever the nominee is. How enthusiastic I am about Bernie, though, depends on the way the rest of the primary shakes out. He built up a lot of my good will in 2017 and 2018 but in the last couple of months it's starting to wear away. The fact that he surrounds himself with buffoons who are more interested in running a grievance campaign against the media and DNC really makes me wonder what type of people he would staff his administration with (since most congressional action is DOA this is more important than people are realizing).

Obviously progressive buffoons are better than evil buffoons so I will still vote for the progressive buffoons. I just hope that if Bernie wins the nomination he doesn't do so by inciting a war against some veiled, shadowy, anonymous "establishment" and instead convinces Warren supporters like me that we're more likely to see better progressive outcomes in a Sanders administration than a Warren administration.

This is something underrated about Sanders being nominated. Instead of having a very vocal base of people on social media churning out hate and oppo against other Dems, they'll be focusing on Trump six months. Back in 2007/2008 I spent some time on digg and the online Obama base's anti-Clinton vitriolic negativity evaporated by the summer of 2008 and they focused like a laser on McCain. It would be kinda nice to have that happen again!

honestly i expected more nos from this forum lol

This is because the whining about a mass movement of people supporting losers like Schultz to spite Bernie supporters is and always was moronic histrionics from a group of low-info people with victim complexes who don't understand how the electorate works.

Just FYI, the full quote of

"nothing will fundamentally change"

was like

"you rich guys shouldn't complain if I raise your taxes.  You won't notice the money missing.  Nothing will fundamentally change if you pay 5-10% more in taxes."

which I would think most people on here would agree with.  This quote has been maliciously taken out of context and spread all over Reddit to create a false narrative.

Since I could hold my nose and support Hillary last time, I see no reason to not support Bernie this time if he gets the nomination.
