hahahahaha and people were doubting me hahahaha.

My weight from May 2017 until present.

People said to me:

I am too old ...

I will have loose skin..

Being overweight is okay.. (despite the fact that my  blood pressure was insane.. and I almost needed a bra.).

There is no way I can have the same endurance I had when I was young..

No way I could have the same strength I had when I was 20..

and... people on the other side made fun of my weight a lot because I look terrible overweight.

Like I was a balding fat weirdo.

I ended up with the attitude, " you all I will show yall"!

Note: The 136 reading was when I went over board but I have been stable at 150 for months. TBH, I should be at 160 and trying to build there via more muscle. 150 may be slightly too light.

Also the Oct 2018 to Nov 2018 drop was stunning! But this happened for multiple reasons:

1) As much as I love heat the cooler air made me uncomfortable so I ran and jogged and worked out more aggressively and kept the same diet and by that point I had good physical endurance again. I got to 136 because I was still eating too little and dizzy all the time but that has been corrected.

Huh? I guess weight does change.

I think the last dramatic shift was 8 years ago when I gained the "Freshman Fifteen", but I proceeded to lose half of it during the Christmas season with all the cycling around [didn't have a driver's license yet], and water weight aside, I haven't moved since.

I'm 6' 3.5'' and 152 lbs, which puts me just above underweight. For my entire life I've been 10-15 lbs underweight until this year.

I'm 5'5'' and 108 lbs. I'm possibly unhealthily tiny.

I had used this measurement from around early july, I just weighed myself today and I am between 175 and 176. I want to drop another 2-3 pounds and then stabilize, anything less would be too light for my frame. I was like 186ish in the start of the year, and earlier a little over a year back I was creeping on 193. Ignore all the crazy schemes to lose weight that atlas or others say, just stop eating so much lol.

That didn't work...nor did eating excessively. Nothing I do ever gets me out the 140-something zone....Nothing.

Dear God why would you try to lose weight, 6’1 and 140 something, you could afford to add several dozen pounds. Next step I would try would be eating a lot of whole grains for dinner, preferably near bedtime, and then wake up in the middle of the night and have a lot more. That should work. Also accompany with whole milk.

This. I would recommend trying to get to like 180-something. We should trade weights. I could stand to be down to 145 lol.

About 500 tons.

You did say "yall", and there are about 6,000 members.  Guesstimating an average weight of 170 lbs, that's 1.02 million pounds or just over 500 tons. Smiley

I was fat from about age nine to 22. Let me tell you, it is extremely hard being a fat, closeted, gay teenager. I am about 6’0.5”. My highest weight was about 250lbs when I was 16. I switched to diet pop, puberty came on more strongly, and I got down to a pretty stable 210lbs, though I admit I did hit 185/190 during a bout of depression in my first year of university.

At age 22 I decided I hated myself enough to begin losing weight. I did not work out or exercise, because I felt like I was going to die a sweaty mess doing 30 minutes on the TreadClimber, only to neutralize the whole calorie burn after in about 10 seconds by drinking a juice box. Not worth it. Instead, I restricted what I ate, which often meant eating a granola bar for breakfast, nothing for lunch, eating whatever the hell I wanted for dinner, and never snacking. It was not the healthiest way to lose weight, and I almost certainly lost a lot of muscle too, but I actually managed to lose weight at an appropriate pace, which was about 5lbs (maybe a little more) every month.

At my lowest, I got down to about 140lbs. For all you straights, I should clarify that there exists a body state in which one can be “straight skinny” but “gay fat.” I know I was way too skinny at 140lbs, but I was also soft and jiggly. I was not the twink I wanted to be. I did manage to keep the weight off and stay  around 140lbs for a while, but I got to 150 after my first year working.

At that time I decided to begin the journey of working out and putting on muscle. I’m 14 months in with a personal trainer and a decently consistent high-protein/low-fat “clean bulk” diet. Honestly I only average about 2.5 days a week in the gym, so the progress is slower than it should be, but I’m now at just over 165lbs and I think almost all of the weight gain is muscle. I know I will have to “cut” at some point to get ripped, but right now it is really nice to be making and seeing progress.
