Kennedy was until recently totally for keeping marijuana illegal so f**k him. Can't trust him on other issues either since he's proven to be a pretty obvious flip flopper. And liking him because his last name is Kennedy is peak atlas. I hope he loses bad but even a close loss will do.

Political dynasties are only bad if they're the Clintons. But multigenerational dynasties like the Kennedys are okay.

I like Markey but it doesn’t mean I think he’s favored in a primary. I just don’t like Kennedy primarying out a good guy who just arrived in the Senate because he can.

Hmm, didn't know Markey was a leader on the GND and that Kennedy used to be against marijuana legalislation. So i don't know it yet, but it's going to be an interesting primary that hopefully could boost Markey's name as well, as he isn't one of the most known senators.

There is a reasonable explanation for this: if Kennedy fails to unseat Markey, Warren has a reasonably good chance to be Prez, if need be, a Special is set 150 days after vacancy. Baker will set it, and in a tied Senate, Kennedy would be the tie breaker

I just can't stand this sense of entitlement from him and seemingly most Kennedy's. I remember Caroline Kennedy thinking she was owed the Senate seat in NY just because who she was despite having never won anything.

If Kennedy runs, it's very likely that he not only thinks he will win, but he even knows so for sure.

If I remember correctly, Kennedy voted against a measure to restrcit the PATRIOT Act, which says volumes about his stance on civil liberties.

That's an arbitrary dismissal if i have ever seen one. Sure she isn't the most likely candidate, but she has a decent shot.

Kennedy winning by a small margin in a poll against Markey seems to suggest that even if Kennedy wins, it would probably be by a decently small margin. Unseating an incumbent is no easy feat.

If this primary challenge happens, i would say it's slightly in Markey's favour.

Warren will win, she is closing the gap.  I said Kennedy is putting his name out there in case there is one. Of course he wants to beat Markey, but in case he doesn't, the Special is another option

Damn. If he wasn’t a Kennedy this response would be sooooo different. Despite my name I’m no fan of dynastic politics when the person benefiting from it is an underwhelming candidate. If he is to the right of Markey he definitely shouldn’t get it because of who his grandfather and great uncle were and because he’s young.
