Tragic. I hope Kinky's numbers go up.

I found a link from the Boston Globe on Google.  I honestly don't think the hurricane is still having an effect on the polling (except in Louisiana), though I could be wrong.

If Kinky takes any more votes, it won't be from Perry though. (sorry)

I, too, hope that Kinky starts to improve his poll numbers.  I do not wish this for the sake that he'll take votes away from any other candidate; I earnestly would like him to win.

Won't happen (sorry), but if the candidate is Chris Bell, lord only knows how high of a percentage of the vote Kinky could get.  20% would be a definite possibility.

Houston Chronicle doesn't appear to have a way to get to articles other than the current day or through their archive.

The filing period for the party primaries just opened, and runs through very early January.   There may be a couple of other candidates in the Democrat primary, Bob Gammage, a former Texas Supreme Court judge, and Felix Alvarado, a school administrator.

If there is a primary runoff election, the petition signing period for Friedman will be cut in half.  The primary is March 3, and the runoff on April 11.  A condition for signing the petition of an independent candidate is to not have participated in the political activities of a political party in the current year, including voting in the primary or runoff.   The signing period runs through May.

Yes.  I have resigned myself to the fact that he will not win, though I would be just as happy with him getting 20-30%.
