I don't think Democrats will flip as their special elections in Texas have been horrible even during the 18 cycle but something to keep an eye out. Romney won both seats by 30 points but Trump barely won em by single digits.

Trump won #HD28 by 10.2 points (that's double digits). Trump won #HD26 by 4.9 points. #HD28 doesn't seem competitive, but #HD26 may be competitive.

Yeah, Trump > statewide in HD28, so absent a scandal that shouldn't be flipping.

Who won 26?  Beto or Cruz?

Beto carried the 26th by about 1.5 points.

Nice maps of HD28. It certainly does seem like a 'stretch' target for dems. The only thing that is really working in their favor here is that they are less dependent on Hisapnics and more dependent on a host of other minorities in the seat, and its Hispanic turnout that drops tXdem turnout in non-November contests.
