I am "right" on the death penalty Smiley But, actually, I haven't really moved much, just changed my interpretation of the questions when it is asked.

Your Score

You scored the following on the PoliticsMatch questions:

Personal Score  81%
Economic Score  75%

Where You Fit In

Where your Personal score meets your Economic score on the grid below is your political philosophy.  Based on the above score, you are a Liberal-Leaning Libertarian.

They must have changed it recently, because all it is giving me now is Liberal-Leaning Libertarian or Hard-Core Libertarian depending on slight answer adjustments; before it gave me primarily Moderate Conservative Libertarian or Moderate Libertarian.

Depending what screen you take the test on the results differ.  If you go onto quiz for your political philospohy directly the results will differ from if you went into lets say the senate page & then clicked political philosophyy on the senate page

I went through and said "strongly support" for everything from both the political philosophy page and Senate page.

Senate:
Personal Score      38%
Economic Score    51%

Philosophy:
Personal Score      38%
Economic Score    50%

Not too drastically different

I guess when your more partisan in idealogy it shows

For example for me it was 92% Personal 0% Economic on the Senate Page
72% Personal 10% Economic on the Political Philosphy Page

I know I am quite liberal on both fronts, but I found it kind of odd that I had somewhat agree or disagree on some of the economic questions, but was still at 0% on the senate page (0% would make sense if I had strongly for all the answers).  I basically had the liberal answer for just about every question, only thing was, some are strongly agree/disagree others are somewhat agree/disagree.  However I picked somewhat on both social & economic issues, its stopped me from being 100% on social, but oved me to 0% on ecomomic, strange

Another strange thing is if you pick all liberal strongly answers on the senate page you will come up with 100% & 0%, but on the political philosphy page it will be 75% Personal 12% Economic

Personal Score  22%
Economic Score  44%

Death Penalty has moved me left on the Personal Axis. The main problem here is it generalizes. I support vouchers, but I also support increasing the money sent to fund them. I agree we shouldn't decrease taxes on the wealthy any further, but I don't agree that we should raise them significantly either.

Personal Score  22%
Economic Score  45%

I know you're no longer active here, but I'll pose this question to you regardless in case you're still lurking around -if you score as a populist-leaning liberal, why do you identify yourself as a Republican (given your blue Virginia avatar)?

DukeFan is another member I miss Sad
Anyways, he used to change his avatar quite a bit (between blue and green). From what I remember he was a Republican because of their strong support for the military.
