Would Rumsfeld remain Secretary of Defense and Bush CIA Director, and if so, for how long?

Probably. Rumsfeld as long as he wants. Ditto for Bush until he potentially steps down to run for President; alternatively, if Kissinger were to step down during a 2nd Ford term, Bush might make for a good replacement.

I have to imagine Potter Stewart, as well as perhaps Warren Burger or Lewis Powell, would retire under a second Ford term. It would be, in my opinion, very interesting to see if he nominated a woman, or perhaps Edward Brooke, or AG Levi, et cerera. Probably more so than a Ford second term Cabinet.

Stewart makes sense but I have to imagine Burger & Powell would just wait it out for the next GOP president (probably in 1989), considering when they all actually retired.
