I actually don't think I can play as Lib. Dem.
I just don't think I know enough about UK politics especially since it is very changed
Would you rather play as a lesser party like Plaid or the DUP? I'd love to have you in the game.
I could play as DUP, I will do a little research tonight to get ready

I'll take Liberal Democrats
Awesome!
All that's left open at this time is Plaid. I'll allow sign-ins for other members of the main parties at this time. Sign ins will close Sunday night.

I'm not trying to unfairly strengthen my hand (no seriously I'm not) but I'd definitely think a player taking Plaid or ChangeUK would be more interesting than UKIP verses NewKip.

Would you rather be Plaid or Brexit? You've already claimed Brexit.

Just a clarification, the elections have done away with constituencies and replaced them with regions like MEP's? So if Labour gets 51% of the vote in the region London Labour would get 51% of the seats in London?

That is correct. That was the twist Lumine created for the original game.

Yeah, pretty much.
This was Scotland in 2012:
SCOTLAND: 59 seats
Labour Party
: 30% (18)
Liberal Democrats
: 26% (16)
Conservative Party
: 25% (15)
Scottish National Party
: 17% (10)
Green Party
: 1% (0)
Others
: 1% (0)
Back then I eliminated the percentage that went for parties below the 5% threshold (2%, the Others + Green Party) and then made the calculations for each party. Seats are then allocated factoring for the party % based on the remaining 98% of useful votes (so to speak).
Thus, if Labour reached 30%, you divide 30/98 and the result (the real percentage in the votes that count) is then multipled by the number of seats per region (in this case 59).
So 30/98 = 0,306
0,306 x 59 = 18
Therefore, a 30% result for Labour in Scotland yields 18 MP's. It's a fairly simple excercise that, I think, gave the game back then an interesting twist, and it should be particularly interesting for this one since the large amount of parties makes it more likely some will miss the 5% threshold and thus be left without MP's in a given region.
(That's how I did it anyway, I'm sure there's a better way or that Dkrol has settled on his own methods)

There are no CP in this version of the game. All benefits that would come from spending CP will be given at the discretion of the GM via PM.

You are free to edit your manifestos after posting them, but I need you to add a sentence at the end explaining what changes you made. I need to know if it was a grammatical change or a policy change.

Some clarification on mechanics:
1. I have been asked if players can list out their MPs by region, based on the totals posted in the Campaign Thread, and assemble their frontbench team, whether that is as a Cabinet, Shadow Cabinet, or Spokesperson team. I am fine with that, but do make sure your choices are realistic - Labour selecting Lord Buckethead as the top-of-the-list candidate in London and naming him Foreign Spokesman will not create positive press for the party.
2. At a point during each turn (when I have time), I will generate a random number for each party out of 100. If the number is between 21 and 79, nothing happens. If it is between 1 and 20, a negative story about the party will be released, the lower the number the worse the story. If it is between 80 and 100, a positive story about the party will be released, the highest the number the better the story. This will happen every turn. Sometimes these will lead to a mid-turn update, sometimes they will not.
3. Becuase I have done away with the Campaign Points system, I will be determining party infrastructure spending based on the leader's schedule. If Caroline Lucas spends four days in Edinburgh, I'm going to assume that the Greens are building up and investing in Scotland. If a leader does not post a schedule, even a barebones one, I will assume the party has, effectively, done nothing for the turn WHICH IS NOT GOOD. If a leader wants to invest and build up the party infrustructure somewhere other than where they spent the turn campaigning, please send a PM to me explaining the request. Effort will be rewarded.
4. If you would like to request an endorsement from a newspaper, celebrity, athlete, trade group, business magnate, or other non-player character, please send a PM to me explaining the request. Effort will be rewarded.

A quick note that I guess was not clear from the Backstory: there was no 2014 referendum on Scottish independence. May's opposition to a referendum is what brought down her first coalition. The LibDems will be able to change their schedule to remove the reference to the 2014 referendum.

Interesting! I had assumed it was like in OTL as well.
