Feel better GoTfan.

I also wouldn't be entirely opposed to a slight extension as we're missing so much (mine included). But I can get it done without it.

My inclination at this time is to hold the end at 11:59 tonight but allow the grace period of “until I wake up tomorrow morning”. Although if there is a large number of posts that are still needed by 11:59, I'll allow a 24-hour extension.

We’ve got just about 7 hours left to go in this turn as it stands. I’m a bit concerned about the lack of activity this turn. Can you guys give me an idea if the 11:59 deadline will work or do we need a 24 hour extension?

I've been quite busy the last few days, something I didn't really expect as well as a few other factors

Ok. I'll allow the extension. The turn will end at 11:59 PM on Tuesday, July 9. This will be a hard deadline without the "until I wake up" grace period.

My sincere apologies! Tried my best, but work was demanding today - when I thought I'd have the time to do my schedule - and it proved impossible. If anything, it reaffirms that much as I want to play these games, when I'm hosting one I should be focused strictly on that given the inmense workload of the 1212 game.

I'll have to drop out for that reason, although if there's anything I can help with do let me know.

With both Lumine and ChairmanSanchez dropping out, coupled with GOTFans illness/injury, and there being a general lack of activity this turn, I am seriously wondering if the game is sustainable. Thoughts?

I think it’s certainly sustainable. Though ChUK had real potential to join them, the big 3 are still here. I also think the Brexit/UKIP merger is a big enough game changer to keep the game’s vitality going. The temporary Green absence is unfortunate, but not game ending.

I think a slightly longer base turn, say 5 days, might help with activity. 3 days was a quick turn around for me to meet and I was grateful for the extension.

I'd certainly like to continue (though I admit, the lack of an active DUP player complicates my position, much as I love those sky-high polling numbers).

I have a idea, the DUP will merge into the UKIP or Brexit party.

With the way Change UK was projecting in the game, I wouldn't feel comfortable making them an NPC. In order to continue, we need a new player to pick up Change UK.

I have a idea, the DUP will merge into the UKIP or Brexit party.

Absolutely not.

I really wouldn't want the game to suffer over my - perhaps hasty - withdrawal or be slowed down, though I really haven't managed to have the time for it. Perhaps - assuming there is no other player - I could absorb the hit for an inactive turn and try to recover in the next? (or post a placeholder schedule when I get a break from work today so the party didn't suddenly go inactive out of nowhere)

There's such potential for incompetence in RL Change UK that I'm sure it would be realistic for them to shoot themselves on the foot with internal infighting at the verge of success, and I'd like the game to continue.

I don’t want to force you back into the game. If you don’t feel you have the time, then you don’t have the time. If you want to stay in and post a schedule by the end of the day, I’ll allow it. If not, we will continue to search for a new player.

I am staying! This is just too fun to abandon.

Managed to post a schedule, leading candidates and debate, though I fully expect a penalty for posting late.

The turn is closed. Lumine will receive a penalty for being late. Glad we kept this moving with relative ease. Expect the third turn to start by the weekend.

The turn is now open. It'll run for five days. I aim to have a mid-turn news update posted on Monday.

Just for fun, and to prove I knew how to do the math, I projected the upcoming Parliament based off of the polls released today. Remember, these are polls, not actual results. Do not be discouraged if your off in one region and do not get complacent if you are riding high across the board. There's still a lot of this game to go.

Current Standings
Conservatives: 163 MPs (-110)
Liberal Democrats: 128 MPs (-38)
Labour: 124 MPs (+26)
British Freedom Party: 73 MPs (+23)
Change UK: 65 MPs (+65)
Greens: 51 MPs (+41)
Scottish National Party: 22 MPs (+2)
Sinn Fein: 9 MPs (+5)
Plaid Cymru: 6 MPs(+1)
Democratic Unionist Party: 4 MPs (-8)
Ulster Unionist Party: 3 MPs (+3)
Social Democratic and Labour Party: 2 MPs (-1)

I also wrote up a long-form analysis piece on the state of the campaign so far. I was worried that I wasn't giving you guys enough explanation for the reasons why the polls were moving and why some players were having more success than others. I hope the article helps everyone going forward to understand where they are and how they got there.

We've got a bit over 48 hours to go. I'm a bit concerned there have been no posts yet at all. Do you guys think you'll be able to make the Wednesday night deadline?
