Hello, folks.
I am interested in taking up the task of relaunching the Mock Parliament series of games. I have two in mind that I could roll out in the coming days. Both are based on former games Lumine had lead.
The first is a continuation of the UK General Election 2012 game, set in 2019. The backstory would be similar to the IRL course of affairs, with a Brexit referendum happening in 2016, PM May stepping down, a weak and feeble Tory stepping up in 2016, bungling Brexit, and being on the way out in 2019. The game would begin with the new Tory PM calling a general election.
The second is a new phase of The Great Experiment game. It would flashforward to 1860, with the Civil War just ending (my feeling was always that TGE America was on-course for an earlier Civil War) and the National Unity Government stepping down, leading to a general election. With the issue of slavery addressed, matters now turn to the final settlement of the West, relations between North and South, and the beginning of the American workers' and women's rights movements.
I've included a poll with these two options. Please comment and discuss the pros and cons of each - I want to make a game that people will enjoy and be engaged with.
