Rules : 1. You are a noble in the Roman Senate, in which there are 900 members. As such, you will need a majority (451 or more) in order to pass any motions of yours, so you will need to state your reasoning for the motion. Each Turn is four months, thus you will have to do each turn for all 4 months that you have. The results will be posted at the end of the next term.

2. A turn will be a Week long IRL. Once a turn is over, I will give a brief rundown of the Republic's new situation. Right now, it will be limited to Italy but as the Republic expands, more parts of the world will be included.

3. Every year, there will be an election for two new consuls by the city of Rome. You can run for the position and attempt to become consul and this will be detailed in a separate thread once a year ends. An Election will last 4 days IRL.

4. You can become a dictator via the same way they were established in OTL. First, the Senate needs to implement a senatus consultum, which will allow one of the consuls to nominate a dictator and if both consuls are available, the dictator is chosen by agreement, so remember to make allies of the consuls in case you plan to be dictator for if they don't agree, they themselves can draw a lot of responsibility. After that, the Curiate Assembly will be called upon to confer imperium on the dictator through the passage of a law known as a lex curiata de imperio, a law confirming the rights of higher magistrates to hold power, or imperium. However, you must state why a dictator is needed and the senatus consultum will need a majority to pass.

5. You must be in one of the three Roman Families to progress within the Senate as without them, you're a nobody with no real support.

All three Families have significant power in the Senate (each holds 295 seats, other nobles hold the remaining 15) and they can increase influence by having consuls and dictators of their families being successful. If one family has a majority in the Senate, their advantages and Disadvantages will be implemented for Rome at large. However, the more influence a family has, the more targeted the most influential members of that family will be, so you must keep a balancing act in order to maintain power in Rome and not lose it anytime soon.

Here is a character sheet that you can use to create your character. Remember that you will need to update it at the end of every year.

6. A Battle will be determined by an RNG. If a player dies in the battle as a General or Consul, they can choose to be another character in the game after a funeral takes place. Each Campaign will be simulated in the end of a turn as well. Be ready for every situation in your campaign as the end turn might cause unexpected results if it goes poorly in your favor.

I hope to bring this to the 44 or 27 BC depending on the thoughts, though I might make it shorter to 200 BC if requested. Hope everyone can have fun on this game. I look forward to starting it's first turn soon.

Name: Marcus Junius Bubulcas Decimus

YoB: 308 B. C.

PoB: Rome, Italia

Family: Junia

Backstory: His uncle, Gaius Junius Bubulcas Brutus, the dictator during Marcus’s youth, recently passed away. His other uncle, Cornelius Junius Decimus, is currently the Pontifex Maximus of Rome. His younger brother is Flamen Dialis, currently leading a growing group of Pontiffs that exercise a large degree of religious authority. While the religious influence of Marcus Decimus is, without question, nearly unequaled, the support Marcus Decimus has triggered from a growing class of plebeians and patricians known as the Marcans has caused some Romans pause. Marcus Decimus is one of the largest patrons in Rome, as his father’s death has caused a great deal of wealth and men to fall into his hands. As Magister Equitum to the dictator Gnaeus Maximus, Marcus Decimus is attempting to restore the Celeres, to serve as cavalry guards throughout Rome.

Proposal: Marcus Decimus proposes that the new Celeres be composed of 300 Celeres. There would be thirty in each of the Seven Hills of Rome - 210 Celeres. Eighty more would guard the gates of the city - five to each gate. Finally, ten would be charged with being messengers: each of the Seven Hills would have a messenger, and for every six gates, there would be one joint messenger.

Motions : (here, each motion your character attempts goes. A marking like this one (✓) will be used is it passed while a marking like this one (x) will mean the motion failed)

Military and Political Experience:
- Senator
- Magister Equitum
- Quaestor

Gravitas: 80 - Not quite as powerful as his father was, Marcus Decimus has just inherited a large estate and support system. His side of the Junia family seems prepared to take leadership, as they have a large supply of grain, only matched by one or two other men in all of Rome.
