Biden : 48%
Trump : 44%

Not much movement since March when Biden was leading 49/44

It’s interesting to note that Biden has still a 51/45 favourability rate with the electorate despite his bad debate performance

Warren or Harris need to be polled as well, they might be nominee, too.

Yeah, I hope to see more polling with them, and I hope that as their name recognition and support grow in the primary that the general election polls reflect that as well...again, I hope.

Meanwhile, this poll doesn't seem terrible for Biden, especially for being from one of Trump's better polling firms. And this is after Biden's debate fumble. It may indicate  that the less politically intrigued, especially those who haven't seen the debates, are still favorable to Biden for now.

The similarity of this poll from the spring indicates that much of the recent political events has little impact with a large proportion of the general public at this time.  After all, a television viewing audience of 15-18 million to watch last week's debates, though good, is not massive.

It does show that Biden remains a formidable candidate to defeat Trump.  And the polls continue to show that he is the strongest Democratic candidate to do it.  Over the next few weeks, he has the opportunity to compare and contrast his stand on health care from the other three main contenders.  He needs to focus the debate on this issue which looks to be the one that will have the most impact on the entire population.

Four points in a Rassmussen poll is decent. If the Democratic candidate wins by four points next year, he or she should exceed 270 electoral votes very easily.

Why didn't they poll Kamala, Liz and the Bern?

Ras seems to poll a single GE matchup every couple weeks.  I believe the previous one was Trump vs Booker, and before that it was deBlasio.  The full set of results seems to be behind their paywall: http://www.rasmussenreports.com/content/view/full/96021.

They did a poll of a Harris/Trump matchup in May, they had Trump leading 47/42, they also did a Warren/Trump matchup and they had Warren leading 46/44
